It's here! It's us!

If you’re the kind of person who needs to know what the hell is going on in the world, wants to hear a hot take on the latest prestige TV, or just get a great recommendation for new music to listen to or book to read over the weekend, you’ve found your people.

Each week, hosts Caitlin Howden and Emily Key get together to chat about cultural conversations and news, make fun of the latest pop culture happenings, rant about life’s minor inconveniences, judge each other’s style and life choices, and maybe interview a guest or 2.

Okay, but most importantly: if you’ve shown up at a dinner party or meeting and not known what on earth people are talking about, then pull up a chair, baby, you’re at the right table. You'll feel like you're snuggled up on the couch chatting with your smart friends, or catching up with your girlfriend at a coffee shop while she fills you in on the latest drama.

To put it simply…we’re all fucking busy. It’s really hard to stay on top of what’s going on in the world when we’re served up non-stop panic-inducing and 100% click-baity headlines. So, enough with the doomscrolling. We’ve sifted through all of that for you and made it super easy for you to get what you need in one place.

Occasionally we’ll even have really interesting guests on the show to help us understand some of the more complicated topics, like how generative AI is changing tech and what that means for us, the neverending cycle of jaw-dropping politics, and other super important stuff like mental health, why skinny jeans are actually never out of style, and questionable relationship advice.

Helloooo from Canada, where Cait and Emily sit down for their weekly chat about all things work, women, and culture. This week, the girls cover tariff news, learn about Canada's nuclear weapon history, and highlight a great Canadian resource for shopping local.

Cait shocks everyone with the news about an undercover cop documentary, and Emily considers the usefulness of a $30/month manifestation app. They talk the #1 predictor of kids' financial success, and lesser known birth control methods.

The girls have a few great books to recommend about Gen X's sexual awakenings and talk Ins and Outs. So much good stuff on Your Weekly Breakdown this week! Pull up a chair and tune in.

Welcome back to Your Weekly Breakdown, where Caitlin and Emily tackle everything from Canada’s new Prime Minister to the best in new books.

Elsewhere, American booze is getting pulled from Canadian shelves, the girlboss era is evolving, and women are facing a serious retirement crisis. Also on their radar: Issa Rae’s midlife crisis moments, and Elon Musk’s many children.

Grab a drink (moon wine, if you have it), and let’s break it all down!
