01 Aug 2022The Power of a Smile (ep. 84)00:15:56

In this week's episode, I will share with you the idea of becoming more open with others around you, especially strangers you come in contact with in your daily adventures. Inspired by the use of elevators and interactions within them, I will offer you a little insight into connecting with fellow human beings and recognising the power of a simple smile. We will explore the topic of isolation and the influence of our phones on the quality of connections we make with those around us, and reflect on the idea of paying more attention to the real world, which is playing its symphony in front of our eyes each day. As a firm believer in the power of optimism and positive energy, I am inviting you to take a chance and smile next time your eyes meet the eyes of another.

I hope you will find this episode highly informative, useful, and empowering.

All the love, All the power, and all the smiles...

21 Nov 2022"Sophie's World" by Jostein Gaarder (ep. 101)00:22:40

In the eighth episode, I present you with the wonderful and insightful book by Jostein Gaarder "Sophie's World". In this novel, the author invites us to explore the depths of Western philosophies, as we know them while telling a beautiful story about Sophie - a Norvegian teenager, whose life suddenly changes course due to a mysterious letter she encounters. It is a worthy read for both the amateurs and the borderline fanatics of philosophical discourse. As we explore the story, we get to face questions worth pondering and observe our thoughts of ours, which stem from thinking these thought-provoking ideas. Reflecting on the book's impression on me, I will mention my perspective on philosophical and religious education in Poland, as well as invite you to consider some rather abstract concepts worth a ponder. As always, I will offer you a little invitation to exercise the might of your mind!

If you do get to read it following my invitation, make sure to let me know your thoughts! Maybe, it will be the book to change your life as well...

All the love, all the power, all of the time...

15 Aug 2022Flowing Through Time (ep. 87)00:17:25

In this week's episode, I will share with you the idea of becoming more aware of the way you spend your time and 'flow' through it... Reflecting upon my feelings of haste, overwhelm, and stress during my weekly work, I've noticed a certain tendency, which when noted and taken advantage of, can be a useful tool in prioritizing and reorganizing the way we lead our lives. An episode about the perception of time, delegating chores and far from favourite tasks, and designing our days the way that empowers a 'flow state' at all times.

I will also briefly mention the idea of fasting and give you two challenges to exercise your mind for the week.

Contemplation of life's rhythm in a digestible portion.

I hope this helps you on your journey through the space-time of your life.

12 Sep 2022Step Up Your Game (ep. 91)00:17:02

In this week's episode, I will share with you the idea of 'stepping up your game' when the situation demands us to. Inspired by the situation, that has taken place a week ago, I want to explore the few topics, which intertwine in the dance surrounding the attitude of courage and activity in adversity. I will invite you to consider how can you assure the necessary strength to act is within you when the time to use it comes. We will talk about prioritization, being reliable, trusting your instincts, and taking action, which has to be taken. Although there may be moments in life when this strategy causes us discomfort, it is an essential quality of any noble human being and I wish you with all my heart that you do 'step up your game' when the world needs you to do so... A serious episode on a serious topic.

Of course, we shall dive into the subject and emerge with a little challenge (or four of them...) you may want to take up and practice throughout your week!

I wish this helps you become the courageous and reliable self you always wanted to be.

25 Mar 2024Make Your Self a Friend (ep. 148)00:41:41

In this week's episode, titled "Make Yourself a Friend," I invite you on a deeply personal exploration of self-discipline and time management as pivotal forms of self-care. This reflection stems from a realization that in the whirlwind of our daily lives, the act of organizing our time isn't just about adhering to schedules—it's a profound gesture of kindness towards ourselves.

With insights drawn from my own journey and the wisdom gleaned from various scheduling methods and organizational tools, I delve into how mastering time management can significantly enhance our lives. I discuss the intrinsic value that comes from being organized and disciplined—how it liberates us, allowing for a life lived with intention rather than one dictated by the chaos of untamed commitments.

Moreover, we'll navigate the common hurdles of laziness and disorganization that all too often steer us away from our goals, underscoring the necessity of preemptive planning. Through personal anecdotes and practical advice, I illuminate the stark difference between merely surviving each day and thriving through meticulously made plans.

This episode also touches on the subtleties of habit formation, confronting our natural tendency to veer towards ease and comfort. We confront the undeniable truth that time, with its relentless march forward, waits for no one. "Time will pass quickly anyhow, so it's all about how you'll make use of it"—a mantra that calls us to action, to make every moment count, not just for the sake of productivity but as a testament to our self-worth and future well-being.

As always, I will be sharing several thought-provoking concepts for you to ponder and apply in your life in the days to come. For those feeling empowered, there will also be a challenge awaiting your participation!

21 May 2022Cherish Those Who Cherish You00:14:59

In this week's episode, I will share with you my thoughts regarding the importance of friendships and relationships we form and maintain throughout our lives. I will reflect on my recent trip 'back in time' to Aberystwyth and the wonders that seeing the people you love can bring up. I will also challenge myself and yourself by exploring a paradox of communication and try to nudge your awareness into recognising the absurdities of 'codifying' and 'de-codifying' messages. We will touch on the subject of long-term friendships and explore the idea that 'love can be only experienced in the present'. It is an episode of gratitude aimed at all of those who I came to meet and love in my life so far and at all those who are yet to join 'the pack'. With the belief that our life might just be defined by the quality of relationships we cherish, I will challenge you to explore these topics in your own life.

I hope this episode will empower and inspire you.

Hope you enjoy it!

As always, I will be sharing several thought-provoking concepts for you to ponder and apply in your life in the days to come. For those feeling empowered, there will also be a challenge awaiting your participation!

In today's (Un)usual Dialogues, I am talking with Jordan Young de Sâ from 'Cheapshot' coffee, based in Edinburgh. During our conversation, Jordan will share with you his life's experiences, encounters with British Royal Family, travelling around the world, and intricacies of his work ethic, which brought him to the place he is in today. Discussing attitudes, synchronicities, and coincidental opportunities, we dive into this audio-adventure to see what's worth sharing with you and other listeners. Jordan is here to remind you of the self-love and understanding that all you're doing is enough for where you are, but there is always a way to make it even better. With consistency and passion, we all are able to get there.

I hope you will find this episode highly inspiring.

17 Oct 2022"How to Win Friends and Influence People" by Dale Carnegie (ep. 96)00:21:02

As the third in line, I would like to present to you the book by Dale Carnegie "How to Win Friends and Influence People", which is nothing less than a practical guide to interpersonal relationships and skillful communication. I will explore my thoughts and experiences regarding this piece of writing, by reflecting on the reasons, which motivated me to pick up the work of Mr. Carnegie and invite you to consider a few interesting ideas that sprout from his insight. With the focus on the different aspects of rhetorics, social savoir vivre, and psychological tricks to empower yourself and others, we will discuss the ideas proposed in the book and their potential advantage for anyone who feels somewhat anxious, socially awkward, or simply unskilled in the art of communication.

As a book that spared me many anxiety-fuelled moments and awkward interactions, I want to promote it for the betterment of your health and well-being, both mentally and socially.

If you do get to read it following my invitation, make sure to let me know your thoughts! Maybe, it will be the book to change your life as well...

02 Apr 2022Attitude is Everything00:23:03

In this week's episode, I will invite you to consider the idea that 'enthusiasm' is the driving and most essential force in any endeavour. Through reflecting on this year's University Kickboxing Championships experience and other recent events that touched my life, I will encourage you to ponder the importance of 'taking one step at a time', empowering others, and continuing with persistence when 'the going gets hard'. We will explore the intricacies of today's overstimulated and highly rapid flow of life and try to figure out a formula, which could help us in our daily striving. In martial arts as in life, the challenges and setbacks are often conquered first inside one's mind. As Frank Sonnenberg puts it in his book Soul Food - "ability determines if you can; attitude determines if you will."

As always, I will offer you one or two challenges to ponder and exercise throughout your week!

I hope you will find this episode insightful and inspiring.

24 Oct 2022"Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill (ep. 97)00:21:08

The fourth book of the 7th season is a long-lasting bestseller by Napoleon Hill "Think and Grow Rich", which aims to support and enhance our ability to strive for success and achieve goals; not only monetary ones.  I will explore my thoughts and experiences regarding this piece of writing, and invite you to consider the three major parts of the book's message. With the emphasis put on working with your subconscious mind, treating others well, and specifying your goals, Mr. Hill has paved a way for motivational speakers and self-development amateurs for the years to come.

As a book that helped me create a more positive, life-enhancing routine and tame the inconsistencies within my scattered mind, this piece of writing is a great starting point for anyone who wishes to become rich in all the many aspects and ways such 'state' can be considered.

If you do get to read it following my invitation, make sure to let me know your thoughts! Maybe, it will be the book to change your life as well...

06 Mar 2023Enjoying the Passage of Time (ep. 106)00:21:13

In this week's episode, I am going to share with you the idea of 'the meaning of life' from the perspective of time. I have recently encountered a quote from someone's podcast that stated that 'the meaning of life is to enjoy the passage of time'. I will also reflect on the privileges, which I believe both me and you are blessed with, and offer a little invitation to consider the nature of our time spending and its utility in the broader sense. In appreciation for your time, as you listen to my time's expression, I hope to inspire a better expenditure of your time in the days that follow...

As per usual, I will offer you a little challenge and a question to ponder and engage with throughout the week.

All the love, all the power, all of the time...

02 Sep 2024"The Prince" by Niccolo Machiavelli (ep. 171)00:41:29

In this week's episode, titled "The Prince," we explore Niccolò Machiavelli's seminal work, a cornerstone of political theory that remains as relevant today as when it was written in the early 16th century. This episode is not just a book review; it's a deep dive into the strategies of power, control, and survival that Machiavelli described, which can still be applied to both political life and personal development.

"The Prince" is famed for its unembellished discussion on the nature of power and the pragmatics of achieving and maintaining governance. We will break down Machiavelli's most compelling arguments, particularly his advice on handling power and the role of deceit and manipulation in leadership.

Additionally, I will discuss the historical context of Machiavelli's Italy—a time of political turmoil and constant warfare—which shaped his perceptions and writings. This discussion will extend to the practical applications of his theories in today’s global landscape, assessing the implications of his teachings on modern leadership and personal strategy.

This episode will also highlight the importance of being prepared in times of peace, a key theme from "The Prince" that underscores the necessity of readiness for potential conflict or challenges. Insights from contemporary thinkers like Jordan Peterson and Jim Rohn will help us draw parallels between Machiavelli’s time and today, particularly in terms of personal development and dealing with adversities.

Join me as we delve into "The Prince" to uncover the darker, yet profoundly instructive aspects of Machiavelli's advice. We'll explore how his cunning recommendations for rulers can translate into lessons for personal resilience and strategic thinking.

I trust that this episode, along with the book, will prove beneficial to you, your loved ones, and the broader world. As always, I will be sharing several thought-provoking concepts for you to ponder and apply in real-life scenarios in the upcoming days. For those feeling adventurous, there will also be a challenge awaiting your participation!

20 Nov 2023"The Untethered Soul" by Michael A. Singer (ep. 137)00:35:12

This week, in our final episode of the 10th season, we will look at the book by Michael A. Singer 'The Untethered Soul', which discusses mindfulness practice and the philosophy of life. Similarly to the works by David R. Hawkins, this book delves deep into the ways our psyche operates and offers an array of practical guidelines, which may help us become more joyful and less concerned with the difficulties of life. I will reflect on the ideas from the book, tie them into the context of our previous discussions, and invite you to consider how these practices may help your upcoming year and life satisfaction. At the very end, I will also talk a little about the New Year resolutions and the art of balance.

I trust that this episode, along with the book, will prove beneficial to you, your loved ones, and the broader world. As always, I will be sharing several thought-provoking concepts for you to ponder and apply in real-life scenarios in the upcoming days. 22 May 2023The Power of Intentions (ep. 116)00:17:03

In this week's episode, I will talk about the unlikely and rather mysterious nature of 'manifestation'. Following my far-from-the-ordinary writing session last week, I've decided to share with you this little invitation to see the events that take place in your life in a different light. We will consider the power of intention, reflect on the dissonance between our expectation and reality, and think of the ways, in which one could make their life better through 'planting the right seeds'.

Of course, I will also offer you a challenge for the week, and give you a healthy dose of optimism necessary to make your time worthwhile.

07 Nov 2022"Shantaram" by Gregory David Roberts (ep. 99)00:20:34

The sixth book of the 7th season is a true-story novel mastepiece by Gregory David Roberts "Shantaram". A real life tale of a fugitive, who, after escaping the Australian prison, comes to 1980s Mombay and starts a new chapter of his life. Truly inspiring, philosophical, at times graphic, and extremely mesmerizing, it is, by far, my favourite real-life-based novel of all. Throughout the episode, I shall share with you some parts of the book and explore the concepts and themes that resonated with me, as I kept swimming through the deep seas of this wonderful piece of writing. As it is a novel, I shall refrain from telling you more than this...

If you do get to read it following my invitation, make sure to let me know your thoughts! Maybe, it will be the book to change your life as well...

10 Jul 2023Be More Real [on Social Media] (ep. 123)00:22:16

In this week's episode, I will bring back the thoughts shared by Mo Gawdat in his book 'Scary Smart' and put them in the context of being more 'real', when engaging with social media. Inspired by the reading and the discussions I've been having surrounding the topic, I would like to offer you a space to consider 'how you show up in the world as well as online'. Moreover, we will reflect on the way our emotional states are impacted by online engagement. We will put it all together and try to address the challenge of ensuring that the AI of the future (a.k.a. the AI of the now) is going to see humans who love, appreciate, and stay kind to one another, and not humans who hate, offend and cause suffering to one another. An important, slightly heavy subject. Certainly something worth pondering.

Of course, I will also offer you a challenge for the week, and give you a healthy dose of optimism necessary to make your time worthwhile.

10 Oct 2022"Maps of Meaning" by Dr. Jordan B. Peterson (ep. 95)00:19:40

On the second place, I am presenting to you my thoughts and reflections regarding the wonderous and rather academic piece of work by Dr. Jordan B. Peterson - Maps of Meaning. This Bible-sized writing comprises over a decade's worth of Mr. Peterson's and focuses on 'decoding and demystifying' the process of 'making the sense out of the chaos through the senses we were given'. With the emphasis put on the wonder and curiosity about the nature of the human condition, Dr. Peterson invites the reader to find ways in understanding the true underlying layer of the existencial experience each of us has to face in every waking moment of our life. Through in-depth analysis of symbolism in religion, mythology, literature, and philosophy, Dr. Peterson explores the connection between the meaning and the chaos, which surrounds the very nature of perception.

As a book that truly encouraged me to look within and 'make sense of it all', I perceive this writing as one of the most influential in terms of my recent life developments, changes, and achievements.

If you do get to read it following my invitation, make sure to let me know your thoughts! Maybe, it will be the book to change your life as well...

All the love, all the power, all of the time...

19 Feb 2024Is It Worth Your Worry? (ep. 143)00:40:22

This week, inspired by a discussion with my girlfriend, I would like to invite you to consider the levels and validity of the many worries you may encounter in your daily life. I will discuss the phenomenon of 'certainty of uncertainty' and reflect on the fact that 'if we wanted, we could worry about everything, all of the time'. We will touch on the topic of 'impostor syndrome', 'learning through failures', and face the fact of the matter that - our job, as well as the majority of the things in our life, do not matter as much, as we would like to think... I dedicate this episode to all of those 'worrying souls' out there in the hope that by thinking these ideas through, you make healthier and more sustainable decisions in the future.

As always, I will be sharing several thought-provoking concepts for you to ponder and apply in your life in the days to come. For those feeling empowered, there will also be a challenge awaiting your participation!

23 Jul 2022Artistic Living, Philosophy of Creation, and Finding One's Purpose (ep. 82)00:51:27

In today's (Un)usual Dialogues, I am talking with Lucas Santos (a.k.a. Lucas Janine) - a one-of-a-kind musical being, whose philosophy of life, rhythmic passion for art, and open heart, enchanted me and my friends, as we met in Porto earlier this year. Lucas will share the experiences of a Brazillian living in Portugal; an artistic soul making his ends meet in the pubs, restaurants, and streets of Porto; and a flourishing writer, whose everyday determination and purposeful action leave no space for failure in becoming a bestselling novelist, in the years to come. Our conversation meanders between the topics of the importance of support from one's family, how we can create more of what we desire while helping others, and expressions of those deep feelings, which only passionate acts of greatness can present to those around us. We aimed to talk for twenty minutes but caught ourselves in the beauty of shared thought and discussed the many subjects for almost an hour. It may seem like a commitment to listen to, but it is certainly one worth committing to...

I hope you find this episode inspiring and empowering to follow your dreams, artistic, entrepreneurial, and whatever they may be!

13 Aug 2022Empowered to Strive by Lack of What One Wishes For (ep. 86)01:08:16

In this special episode, I am talking once again with Lucas Santos a.k.a. Lucas Janine. Inspired by our recent discussion, we've decided to bring to you this lengthy contemplation of the power, which resides in each of those, who do not have what they wish for just yet. Lucas wanted to explore the topic of the underpriviledged advantage, which he recognised in his life's experience and so we sat down to talk.

Our discourse meanders between the riverbanks of achievement philosophy, money-making habits, thoughts about the future, and potential challenges that being rich and 'having it all' from the start of your life can cause. Inspired by true stories, genuine reflections, and truthful expressions.

Uncut and unexpected, this episode is the way to make your mind boggle itself throughout your day.

I hope it did turn out okay.

Thank you Lucas for joining me once more!

This rather out-of-the-ordinary experience made me think of the way I perceive my work and how we tend to 'sell ourselves short' from time to time. Considering this, I have decided to offer you this episode with its open questions and slightly provocative concerns about the way people sometimes take advantage of our kindness. As I paint a vision for my podcast's future, I present to you a piece about self-appreciation, self-reliance, and assertiveness. I hope it will be helpful.

Of course, I will also offer you a challenge for the week, and give you a healthy dose of optimism necessary to make your time worthwhile.

All the love, all the power, all of the time!

16 Apr 2022The Importance of Humour00:15:40

In this week's episode, I will invite you to consider the importance of staying lighthearted and 'take it easy' whenever 'the going gets hard'. Considering my recent experiences of applying for jobs and a funny (from hindsight) situation, which took place at my workplace, I will reflect on the power that humor can bring us in those difficult moments of high stress. We will discuss the 'fight or flight' reaction, which our bodies often promote, whenever the situation overwhelms our senses and minds, and introduce a simple practice, which could allow you and me to take life with a little more ease and silence the overstressed mind. I will bring up some psychological facts and interesting information from the books I've had a chance to read and offer you a wee bit of encouragement when dealing with your next 'big thing'. Finally, we will take a brief look at the way our brain considers memories and reflect on the idea of 'overriding' the experienced experience with whatever we've found important to remember.

It is an episode full of light-hearted advice, so take it easy and tune in.

I hope you will find it insightful and inspiring.

24 Apr 2023Forgive & Let Go (ep. 113)00:19:04

This week I am going to try and tackle the topic of seeing our reflection in others and forgiving those who have done us wrong. Inspired by my experience and a beautiful quote shared by a friend of mine a while ago, I will invite you to consider just how much of the way we see the world and react towards it is embedded in our self-reflection. Moreover, I will approach the subject of forgiveness through the lens of the Bible and try to make the case supporting an assumption that the best way of achieving peace and alleviating suffering comes through forgiving those who failed to treat us right. I hope this episode will help you to free yourself from the shackles of resentment and bitterness and open your heart to the unique lesson, which comes from seeing the world as a reflection of ourselves.

As always, I will offer you a little challenge for the week and remind you to live your best life... To simply be your best.

13 Jan 2025"Allen Carr's Easy Way to Stop Smoking" by Allen Carr (ep. 187)00:58:49

In this week's episode, we delve into Allen Carr's influential work, "Allen Carr's EasyEasy Way to Stop Smoking." This episode unpacks the psychological and social constructs that perpetuate smoking addiction and explores Carr's revolutionary approach to quitting smoking without relying on willpower. We discuss how smokers are often misled into believing that smoking provides pleasure, when in reality, it merely relieves the withdrawal symptoms from the last cigarette, creating a cycle of dependency.

We'll also explore the concept of brainwashing in smoking addiction, where societal and psychological conditioning makes quitting seem impossible. Carr's method focuses on changing smokers' perspectives, debunking the myths that smoking is a crutch or provides genuine pleasure. By addressing these misconceptions, Carr argues that quitting becomes not only achievable but surprisingly easy.

Join us as we dissect the reasons why willpower alone is often insufficient and how understanding the true nature of smoking can fundamentally change the quitting process. I hope that this episode will be the beginning of your vice-free life!

18 Mar 2024Today vs. Tomorrow (ep. 147)00:46:30

In this week's episode, titled "Today vs. Tomorrow," I embark on a journey that resonates deeply with me, sparked by the pervasive challenge of choosing between instant gratification and the rewards of delayed satisfaction. This theme, a reflection of the choices we face daily, ignites a desire in me to delve into the essence of making great decisions, the importance of nurturing 'yourself across time,' and the profound impact of developing beneficial habits today for the wellbeing of our future selves and the people in our lives.

With personal stories and keen observations, I navigate the delicate balance between the pleasures of the present and the promises of the future. I challenge the often easy path of immediate rewards, advocating for a life defined by foresight, discipline, and a deep-seated commitment to our future selves. Drawing from a rich mosaic of experiences, I question the common practice of seeking short-term satisfaction at the expense of long-term gains.

Moreover, this episode examines how our perception of time influences our decisions and behaviors. How does recognizing the finitude of our existence motivate us to prioritize actions that not only serve us today but also safeguard and enhance our tomorrows?

Let's redefine gratification, prioritize our long-term wellbeing, and embark on a path of mindful decision-making. It's about making choices that resonate not just today, but echo into the future. Join me as we journey together, making each day count for ourselves and those we hold dear. Let's shape our tomorrows with the decisions we make today.

As always, I will be sharing several thought-provoking concepts for you to ponder and apply in your life in the days to come. For those feeling empowered, there will also be a challenge awaiting your participation!

20 Mar 2023Snapshots & Spontaneous Life (ep. 108)00:22:04

In this week's episode, I am going to share with you a 'snapshot' from my recent trip to Malaga, Spain. I have had the pleasure of enjoying three weeks of January Sun in this coastal city of Spain, where, alongside my two best friends, I partied, explored, and polished my language skills. Inspired by the memories, I want to invite you to consider the two major themes of the story: planning vs spontaneity, and 'being in the moment'. I will talk about these two topics and consider the utility of different approaches regarding them.

At the end of it all, I will give you a little challenge for the week, so you could explore what it means to you to 'take a snapshot' of your life.

As always, I wish you all the love and all the power in your weekly adventures!

14 Oct 2024"Thinking Fast and Slow" by Daniel Kahneman (ep. 177)00:56:48

In this week’s episode, we dive deeper into Daniel Kahneman's influential work, "Thinking Fast and Slow," which dissects the dichotomy between the intuitive, quick-reacting System 1 and the more deliberative, logical System 2 of our minds. This comprehensive analysis helps us understand how these systems influence our judgments, lead to various cognitive biases, and impact our decision-making processes.

We'll explore how biases like anchoring, confirmation, sunk cost fallacy, and halo effect can skew our perceptions and decisions in both trivial and critical situations. By highlighting real-world examples and engaging scenarios, this episode aims to equip you with strategies to recognize and counteract these biases, fostering better cognitive habits and decision-making skills.

Join us to unravel the complexities of our cognitive processes and discover practical tips for navigating the mental traps that often go unnoticed in our daily lives. This episode will not only broaden your understanding of human psychology but also empower you to take charge of your mental biases and think more clearly under various circumstances.

28 Mar 2023Reflection of Patience (ep. 109)00:23:46

This week's episode focuses on the two, closely interlinked, ideas of patience and reflection, which I have been pondering lately. As I am searching for my next major project and finishing up with the recent assignment, I want to explore the idea of patient awaiting, once the seeds of our plans are planted. During this episode, I will also add the topic of reflection, especially self-reflection in the context of these plans, sketches, and reality checks each of us faces from time to time. I hope this episode will help you review your worries and let go of some of the impatient impulses you may be experiencing. It may also serve you as a mindful reminder that sometimes it is good to simply 'be here'.

As per usual, I will offer you a little challenge and a question to ponder and engage with throughout the week.
