How many times have you heard recently, “You just can’t find people who want to work”? Maybe you’ve said it yourself.

And I get it on one level.

Or, as I prefer to say, these companies understand how to attract top talent and reduce team turnover.

21 Feb 2024Ep 072: Leverage Communicate for more Positive Culture00:28:20

☀️ Conventional human resource management systems need revolutionizing or at least some innovation.

Answer yes or no to this question: “Yes!” is the best answer, according to Dr. Joey’s guest on this episode of the Work Positive Podcast. Juan Betancourt said “Yes!” which led him to join Humantelligence as CEO. Juan is revolutionizing productivity, motivation, and employee retention while making it accessible to all. Think of his work as human connection for better collaboration. Companies like Walgreens, United Healthcare, Siemens, and Southwest Airlines have found immense value in his work.

☀️ Just so you know: 72% of teams say they struggle with communication. One day a week is lost due to poor communication. $12,506 is lost annually per employee due to poor communication.

☀️ AI tools can help organizations assess candidates' fit based on behaviors and work styles, and enhance the attraction of top talent while building effective teams.

☀️ AI can facilitate the understanding of your company’s actual versus desired culture, which allows you to create a more unified and satisfying work experience.

☀️ Ensuring human connection is vital even while AI offers efficiency in remote talent acquisition.

For more information, you can visit the company website at www.humantelligence.com.

20 Sep 2023Ep 050: Belonging and Appreciation are Vital to Culture00:34:03

How would you like to work with a company committed to cultivating a leadership culture where you can thrive, pursue your passion, and become a lifelong learner? A company that is challenged to hone the intangible skills that drive business results and catalyze your wellness. Where do you sign up? Right. Well, my guest on this episode of the Work Positive podcast helps companies cultivate exactly this kind of culture. She's done it so far for Starbucks, Chipotle and my personal favorite. She sits on the board of Krispy Kreme. Also, she's an advisor to ShRM, the Society of Human Resource Management. So grab a donut and some coffee and let's learn together on this episode of the Work Positive podcast.

Marissa emphasizes the importance of clearly communicating purpose and values, providing growth opportunities, and prioritizing diversity and inclusion. They also explore the role of managers in building positive relationships and recognizing employee contributions. The conversation concludes with a focus on aligning job roles with company strategy and measuring the impact of culture on financial success.

 Key Takeaways:

🌞 Cultivating a positive work culture starts with clearly communicating the company's purpose and values.

🌞 Providing growth opportunities for employees is crucial in attracting and retaining top talent.

🌞 Prioritizing diversity and inclusion fosters a sense of belonging and drives organizational innovation.

🌞 Managers play a vital role in building positive relationships with their team members and recognizing their contributions.

🌞 Aligning job roles with the company's strategy ensures that employees work towards common goals.

🌞 Measuring the impact of culture on financial success helps organizations understand the value of investing in positive work environments. 🌞

“And then if there's a designed career path with professional personal development along the way in that career path they'll stay and the whole conversation about you know we've got all these generations at least three some companies four generations working together now and my generation and older tends to disrespect the younger generation right? but they are just asking for, in some cases, demanding what my generation should have demanded instead of just keeping going to work and slugging it out day after day let's find some purpose let's find some meaning in that so that equity of exchange that occurs between daily task and company mission that belonging piece is so important.” Marissa
