Before Jason, Before Michael, After Norman... There was Billy and the fateful Christmas he hid in the attic of a Sorority House became the stuff of horror legend. Bob Clark's 1974 classic is also one of the most influential slashers of all time. This Christmas we celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of Black Christmas with a full length fan commentary. If it doesn't get under your skin, it's on too tight... if that's possible.

For this edition we tackle a two-fer! It's our first foray into the "Nature Run Amok" sub-genre, and for it we are also taking our first step into the realm of Oz-ploitation. That notorious yet not often recalled era where worldwide audiences developed an intrigue for the land down under. After Jaws came out producers everywhere were trying to recapture that magic and we feel director Russell Mulcahy got closer than anyone in the form of a giant feral boar rampaging through The Outback in his visually stunning feature length debut RAZORBACK.

After the franchise came to a dubious end, The producers attempted to find new ways for Jigsaw's games to continue. For this edition we determine if these experimental titles were successful... entirely successful.

Proof that great horror does not need to be rated R to be amazing, today we spotlight on of the earliest offerings from Charles Band and Puppet Master director David Schmoeller TOURIST TRAP. A movie that defies the odds by being a truly chilling film in lieu of its PG rating.

We start our Shout at the Devil segment proper with the first film that both Metal and Horror fans usually mention when it comes to the combination with the oddly titled TRICK OR TREAT. Yeah we know it's not Halloween but it's not like that really comes into play here.

2024 has come to a close, and while real world horrors await in 2025 we can at least look back on the incredible horror that has invaded our brains in the previous year. Here and now is our awards for the best horror in 2024.

Last year we lost a trailblazing legend of horror with the loss of the great Tony Todd, so for Black History Month we pay tribute to this genre legend with what is widely considered to be his definitive peformance that had us all hooked.

While franchises are not exclusive to the horror genre, it can be argued that a major aspect of horror's legacy can be attributed to the endless glut of sequels that have come out over the last century.
