04 Feb 2023Ways You Are Losing Power (Energy)00:35:09

This week's podcast is a solo episode with...wait for it...YOURS TRULY. I watched a video recently with thought leader Caroline Myss. I also read one of her books years ago called Anatomy Of The Spirit. After watching the video (and thinking back to her book) I realized I'd been right to think that 'deep knowing' was real because I always knew there was a correlation between our emotions and physical body. I highly recommend reading Caroline's book.

The video I watched by Caroline was about ways we lose our power (energy) throughout our day. This is a topic I have thought about many times and even did blog posts regarding this loss of power. Finally, after watching this video I decided to sit down and do some of her recommendations which I have listed below.

There were three main questions I asked myself and I encourage you to do the same.

What are 3 to 5 addictions you have? We all have them, they may not be the typical ones you think of like alcohol or drugs but more things like attention, the need to be right, worrying, etc. Once you identify your addictions go deeper and ask why you are addicted to them. What are you getting out of them?

What are your cravings (3 to 5)? What stories have you been telling yourself and others that keep dragging you down but you tell them anyway, and why do you tell them?

What do you feel entitled to (3 to 5)? This list got interesting for me (ha ha). If you feel entitled to fairness, for example, then go deeper and find out who you think you should get that fairness from? Are there specific people or group of people?

25 Jun 2023Learn How To Change Your Subconscious Mind Through PSYCH-K01:01:00

My last podcast was a 'solo' effort which I talked about my findings after listening to a Bruce Lipton lecture. Did you know we operate 95% of our day in the subconscious mind which is just mainly habits that we picked up from birth to age seven. The other 5% of our day is operating in the conscious mind, where we solve problems and can be more intentional with each moment. I don't know about you but I wan't to increase that 5%!

This week's podcast was talking with the Director of Psych-K Centre International, Duccio Locati, about his healing journey and practice and how he knew becoming a psych-k facilitator was his life's calling. Psych-k is a modality that helps a person re-write some of their limiting subconscious stories and make better ones. Some main topics I cover:

-What is psych-k and how can it help people?

-How the founder of psych-k Rob Williams brought this healing about.

-Breaking down the parts of psych-k in workshops.

-Understanding the conscious, subconscious, and super-conscious brain.

-What the term 'whole brain state' means and how we install this new conscious belief.

18 Feb 2023Simple Tips To Live a Balanced Life00:31:58

This week I did another solo podcast. I kept getting "downloads" around helping others take back more of their power so they could feel more balanced and calm. In this podcast, I share a few ideas and tricks I have collected over the years to help me stay aligned and in flow. You will learn four different ideas that I explain in great detail throughout the podcast. I will talk about:

-The zoom-out method

-Becoming your own paleontologist (Sounds funny but I explain this during the podcast)

-Talk to yourself like you would a child

- 'Peace begins with you' method

These are seemingly simple ideas. When you listen to the podcast you will think '...oh yeah, I can do that' but once the podcast is over, the work has to be done. You have to put the methods into effect to reap the benefits. One day at a time, one reminder at a time. If you stick with it you will be stunned by the power you gain over your life.

16 Oct 2022Spiritual Twists and Turns with Melanie Esperon00:54:56

The topic of spirituality has been gaining momentum for quite some time. So many conversations have been had on different spiritual journies, how people are awakening, and the light and breezy side of going inward. In this episode, Melanie and I discuss some of the not-so-popular and heavier aspects of spirituality. This is not to deter anyone from embarking on their spiritual path but to give a full picture of the work ahead. Each layer that has been exposed makes future work more manageable. 02 Jul 2023Getting Intentional In Your Life Using Astrology with Angela Lundy01:07:01

I had an absolute blast meeting with my friend Angela Lundy this past week! Angela is pursuing a lifelong journey to align with purpose. She used Human Design, Astrology, and Gene keys on herself to gain a really deep understanding of who she is and what she came here to do. In Human Design she is a 6/2 Manifesting Generator, allowing her to live a multi passionate life doing things she loves. Angela would consider herself a life-long learner and more of a guide than a coach. She is leading people through a journey to re-write the stories they tell themselves in order to uncover their true genius.

We have great chemistry together and talked about a lot of different ideas and topics. We even dropped a special announcement in the podcast🙌. Happy listening! Some main topics I cover:

04 Jun 2023Healing the Under-Mothered Wound with Self-Love Coach Karel Chan00:53:52

For this week's episode I spoke with clinical mental health therapist and self-love coach Karel Chan. Karel has over ten years of experience and practice as a clinical mental health therapist and self-love/mindfulness coach. She spent the first 20 years of adulthood struggling to find happiness in the “right” things: a career, a husband, a family, a home. Regardless of what she had or was still trying to find, she continued to feel empty, disconnected, and directionless. When she finally learned how to give deep, unconditional love to all parts of herself and allow those parts to receive that love, something in her broke open and she found lasting joy, peace, and contentment in herself and her life. She's seen firsthand the power of mindfulness, compassion, and self-love in making lasting change. Now she helps other women heal their relationships with themselves through inner-child work and authentic self-love, helping them live wholeheartedly and with more confidence.

Some main topics we covered:

-What being "under-mothered" means.

-How that effects us later in life.

- The Emotionally Absent Mother  by Jasmin Lee Cori

-What inner-child work is and examples of how to do it.

-Ways to work with Karel.

03 Apr 2022How Trauma Plays a Role in Our Lives, With Jamuna Rosner00:57:56

I am so pleased to be sending out this new podcast featuring Jamuna Rosner (@jamunarosner)! I had a very insightful conversation with Jamuna where we talked about what led her to become a trauma-informed coach and eventually create her program, Transcend. Jamuna started her work over ten years ago by supporting women dealing with addiction and codependency and has since grown into coaching other coaches, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders through their own traumas to create massive breakthroughs.

One of my favorite parts of the conversation was breaking down what exactly trauma is and how we all can take steps to help release it. We talked about inner-child work and how everyone could benefit from a closer look into their past.

15 Jan 2023A Woman's Story From Lost Hope To Restored Health00:50:34

This week I am posting my newest podcast with the wonderful Gungor Buzot! She is a woman who has lived many lives and it was an extreme pleasure to be able to talk one on one with her. Her story is one of struggle but she ultimately found a way to her happiness. She'd been unwell essentially her entire life and by the time she was 61, she'd had 20 different surgeries in an attempt to 'heal' her. After the last unsuccessful surgery she felt she had endured enough and wanted to end the suffering. Gungor tried to convince her two grown children that euthanizing her was the only logical alternative but, thankfully, she was wrong!

This podcast will give you the exact steps she took to find another way. Here's a hint...she was introduced to the amazing Betsey Beaven from last week's podcast and, as they say, the rest is history.

26 Mar 2023A Deep Discussion With an INELDA End-Of-Life Doula00:58:02

Death is something that plagues all walks of life. It is something we will all face at some point and yet it's not something that gets a lot of "air" time. I guess is because we all have our own ideas about it and we don't want to make anyone uncomfortable so we stay silent on the subject. However, what if we did start sharing our thoughts and views more often? Would we reduce some fear around it?

I came across the nonprofit organization INELDA International End-Of-Life Doula Association from the back of a book I was reading. I became very interested in this organization and wanted to know what exactly an end-of-life doula was. After some email exchanges, I was put in touch with Nicole Heidbreder.

In this podcast, Nicole explained a life pattern that seemed to be following her into her calling of becoming an end-of-life doula. Her personal story is very insightful and interesting. Not only is Nicole an end-of-life doula but she is also a birth doula. She gets to witness life in both of its extremes, life, and death. She goes deep into explaining exactly what an end-of-life doula is and how it differs from hospice care, who can benefit from their care, how to become a doula through INELDA, and then how to start networking. I strongly urge you to listen to this podcast to gain a little more perspective on the end-of-life topic.

Nicole was able to eloquently explain her thoughts on the end of life and the closeness she gains with the families she works with. By presenting her career path she truly is "changing the face of dying."

To find a doula near you or if you would like to take part in their training program to become a doula you can visit them on the web at  inelda.org .

You can find Nicole on the INELDA website or follow her on Instagram @gracefulfusionofbirthanddeath.

19 Mar 2023Taking Back Your Sovereignty00:54:11

This week I brought back my bestie, Melanie Esperon, from  Reikiroomsandiego.com . I absolutely love having her on because her energy is SO fun and she is very wise...a great combo for sure! This episode is all about taking back your sovereignty (the ability to choose the direction of one's own life, and being the exclusive authority over one's own body and mind...aka...freedom).

Mel and I discuss times in our lives when we knew there was no other option than to take back our power. It is so easy to fall pray to others' opinions, different agencies ( government, education, medical system, social media etc) and push our own thoughts to the side to be agreeable. Once you know what to look out for or what feelings come up for you, it is easier to recognize.

We also go over ways to start to take your power back and claim your life. It won't happen overnight but implementing some of these steps a little at a time can make quite a change. Some examples are:

-Balancing the masculine and feminine or right and left brain

-Being able to accept failure-learning resilience

-Stop blaming others

-Recognizing the way you see the world isn't how the world really is

-Dive into something that feels uncomfortable without judgement

-Start listening to your thoughts

Of course we go into much more detail about these suggestions to explain how you can integrate them into your life. If you'd like to follow Mel on IG (and I highly recommend you do❤️) you can do so by searching @reikiroomsd.

06 Nov 2022Surviving After a Suicide Attempt00:53:45

I had the privilege to have a very open and real conversation with Kevin Hines! In an attempt to take his own life, Kevin jumped off the Golden Gate Bridge one fateful day in 2000. By the grace of God his life was saved and he has spent the last two decades going around the world speaking to countless people explaining why they should always choose life. Through this experience he has become a keynote speaker, award winning filmmaker, best selling author and host to his own podcast. He and his team are saving lives and educating so many every single day. This is a powerful podcast, one that I hope you will share with anyone you think might be going through a tough period in their life because there is always hope!

31 Dec 2022My Reflections from 202200:27:43

When I think of wellness there are so many components that come to mind. One major part of wellness is reflecting. We can reflect on how we handled a situation, reflect on a week that went by or, in this case, a full year. One powerful way to reflect is through journal writing. Simply write a prompt at the top of your paper and let your hand do the rest. Below are some journal prompts I used that I found on Instagram (Google 'journal prompts' and you'll find TONS!).

What was my theme of this past year?

What are some lessons I learned?

How did I surprise myself by how I showed up to the challenges life presented?

What am I most proud of?

What am I ready to let go of?

What is my intention moving forward for 2023?

Listen to my latest podcast, entitled 'My Reflections from 2022', and hopefully it will inspire you to start writing today!

12 Mar 2023Getting Curious with Steven Noack00:58:40

I had such an insightful conversation with Steven Noack ( trinityquantumheath.com ) a few weeks ago I absolutely had to have him on the podcast again to go a little deeper...so deeper we went!

After having his NDE when he was a child, Steven spent a good amount of time trying to block out all the information he learned when he was unconscious. When he became an adult he realized he couldn't continue to "forget" what he knew down in his soul.

In this podcast we talk a lot about topics that aren't often discussed in the mainstream today. We talk about the quantum field, vibrations, energy, and so much more. If these are all new concepts to you I encourage you to listen and start to become curious. It's all a very fascinating rabbit hole to go down.😃

30 Jul 2023A Nurse's Battle For Wellness After Years Of Energetic Cord Trauma01:09:59

I absolutely love doing podcasts because I get to learn so much from so many people! This week's podcast was no different. I got to chat with a new friend about her career, health, and ways she is healing. Richelle Troutman was an RN for 22 years before she had to resign because of her failing health. She was first diagnosed with kidney cancer and, to make matters worse, the list of illnesses and ailments kept growing and growing. Her poor body just couldn't keep up with a full time work schedule regardless of how much it hurt her to stop doing what she loved which was helping people.

Eight years ago, Richelle realized something drastic had to change and that's when she turned to energy healing as well as spirituality. She learned that all the people she has helped in her life were somehow still energetically attached to her which was literally sucking the life out of her. Her road has not been easy but she has persevered and has always viewed life as a series of lessons to empower her for what is next. This is one podcast you do not want to miss!

Here are the main talking points:

-Richelle's traumatic entrance into the world as well as her traumatic upbringing.

-All the positions and roles she had as a nurse.

-Understanding what energetic cords are and how Richelle had so many attached to her given her job.

-When Richelle knew something had to give. When she knew her health and wellness needed to be top priority in her life.

-Richelle's first experience with energy healing with intuitive guides.

-Understanding the hands of light modality.

-Barbara Brennan Hands Of Light book. (Click on the green letters to get your copy today!)

-Richelle's first experience at the OMEGA Institute.

-Why releasing tears is so healthy.

-Richelle's experience with a dark entity.

06 Aug 2023Two Cleansing and Clearing Practices You Can Learn and Start Applying Today!00:49:05

After last Sunday's podcast with my friend Richelle (A Nurse's Battle For Wellness After Years Of Energetic Cord Trauma), I knew I had to do a podcast on protecting your energy. I asked one of my closest and oldest friends to jump on my podcast with me. I was really hoping she would do it because this podcast is different than my normal ones. This one is very interactive. I walked my friend Heather Davy through two other practices I've been working on to raise and clear my energy. Heather hadn't ever tried either of them before so I was able to teach her something new!

I hope you find these practices as helpful as I have. They are both from Tina Zion's books and teachings.

Things we covered in the podcast:

-Understanding that we all take a bath or shower every day to clean off our physical body. It is just as important or even more important to cleanse our auric/energetic field.

-Understanding the human toroidal field. I love it when spirituality and science connect.

-Walking Heather through the practice of "powering up."

-For your copy of the steps click below:

-Understanding how we have divine and sacred guilds to help us in life.

-Understanding how to call in our cleansing filter.

27 Aug 2023The 8 Causes of Illness and Struggling00:52:06

Tina Zion was back for another insightful conversation! With all the years and experience Tina has accumulated, I knew one podcast would not be enough. Tina is a fourth-generation intuitive medium. She is globally considered an expert in medical intuition, healing methods, and mediumship all while teaching internationally.

My main goal with Wellness Matters is to help spread healing information to anyone interested and this week's podcast did just that! My conversation with Tina was super exciting because we talked about what she believes to be the 8 main causes people become sick. I hope you find this podcast helpful!

Things we covered in the podcast:

-What are spirit guides and do we all have them?

-How can we develop a relationship with our guides if we have never communicated before?

-Cause #1- The nonphysical realm.

-Cause #2- Physical level i.e. prescription drugs, supplements, foods, etc.

-Cause #3- Thoughts and emotions.

-Cause #4- Relationships.

-Cause #5- Current life trauma.

10 Sep 2023Getting Personal❤️00:37:04

For this week's podcast, I decided to get a little personal and go solo. After receiving a biofield tuning session, I felt compelled to do this podcast on my own even though it wasn't in my schedule. "All true inner growth will make you feel uncomfortable, disturbed or scared for a little while. It's OK. it will pass." (Anonymous) Is there some inner work you feel called to work on?

Here is this week's Sunday Session with Heather 👇

Mantra of the week: "I love my body and all it does for me." Repeating mantras is a simple and easy way to re-wire our thoughts. The more we speak positively the more we choose to be in a better headspace. One day at a time.

Mindset Swap

Instead of saying... 'What will everyone think of me?'

Say this...'I am here to be my authentic self, not worry about what others think.'

19 Nov 2023Feeling Lost and Alone to Understanding Some of Life's Biggest Mysteries00:52:29

Who is Nicole Elodie:

Nicole is a VERY talented psychic, medium and channel! She provides one on one sessions with people as well as group classes. She is such a gift to the world and a wonderful guest to have on the podcast🙌❤️.

What we discussed:

-Growing up life wasn't easy for Nicole because her family called her crazy. It wasn't until later in life that she realized what her family thought was 'crazy' was in fact her psychic gifts shining through.

-In 2019, Nicole went through a dark night of the soul and was even suicidal.

-After pleading with God she experienced a Kundalini awakening.

-Nicole explains what life force energy is and how most people have their energy stuck in their first three chakras.

-The sad truth of ancient knowledge that has been buried and kept from us.

-Understanding that we are energy first. We need to take care of our energy in order to feel our best.

-Energy can never die, it can only be transformed into something else. Our trauma is trapped energy and finding ways to heal it can transform it into something better.

-Nicole can now recognize that her narcissistic mother and partner were her teachers in this life. She was able to transmute those bad experiences into good.

-I now understand that people-pleasing as an empath is so heavy. However, the reason we do this is to not feel the disappointment of the other person, so we devalue ourselves to please the other.

-We come into this life alone and we leave alone so we have to take care of ourselves. No one else can.

-Nicole's vision of the earth going through its own awakening.

04 Feb 2024You Have To Die To Be Reborn00:18:53

Summary

In this week's episode of Wellness Matters, I explore the concept of dying to be reborn. I share my experience with the death card in Tarot and how it represents letting go and making space for new beginnings. I then discussed a powerful cord-cutting ceremony I had with a great friend and the importance of releasing old trauma.

This led to the idea of being raw and vulnerable, highlighting the universal hurt we all carry within us. No one is exempt from the hurt, we just have different stories around that hurt. I talked about the impact of unresolved childhood trauma and the process of reparenting ourselves to heal our inner child wounds.

I spoke deeply on the importance of journaling, visualization, and reassurance in the inner work journey. I encourage listeners to embrace the hard work of self-reflection and transformation, and to update their stories and beliefs to align with their growth. I remind the listener that we are not alone in our struggles and that taking responsibility for our own healing is essential. The episode concludes with a call to embrace the concept of dying to be reborn as a new adventure in personal growth.

Takeaways

The death card in Tarot represents letting go and making space for new beginnings.

Cord-cutting ceremonies can be powerful in releasing old trauma and reclaiming our energy.

Being raw and vulnerable allows us to connect with others and realize that we all carry hurt within us.

Unresolved childhood trauma can impact our lives and create triggers that affect our behavior.

Reparenting ourselves and healing our inner child wounds is a crucial part of the inner work journey.

Journaling, visualization, and reassurance can help us explore triggers and memories from our past.

Embracing the hard work of self-reflection and transformation leads to personal growth and healing.

Leaning into loneliness and sadness can paradoxically bring more joy and fulfillment.

Updating our stories and beliefs must align with our growth and create positive change.

Taking responsibility for our own healing and growth is essential, as no one else can save us.

18 Feb 2024Understanding Your Unconscious Mind Through Your Dreams01:02:00

What an AMAZING podcast! I had such a great time talking with Dr. Michael Lennox. He was able to explain why we dream and how to interpret them in a way that actually made sense. I did walk into the conversation having read his newest book Psychic Dreamer, so I knew some background prior to the podcast.

A highly sought-after media expert, Dr. Lennox has been seen internationally on many television shows, beginning with the Sci Fi Network’s The Dream Team. He has also been featured on numerous network and cable television shows, including NBC’s Emmy award winning Starting Over, Soap Talk, The Wayne Brady Show and many others. His radio appearances talking about the power of dreams number in the hundreds. Dr. Lennox obtained his masters and doctorate in psychology from The Chicago School and his doctoral dissertation, Astrology and Personality, is published by Lambert Academic Publishing. Dr. Lennox is also the author of two books on dreams, Dream Sight: A Dictionary & Guide for Interpreting Any Dream and Llewellyn’s Complete Dream Dictionary. He explains how dreams can be understood through symbolism and how they serve important functions during REM sleep. Dr. Lennox interpreted my dream about Donald Trump and hiding in a warehouse, highlighting the deeper meanings behind these dream symbols. It was such a trip having him explain my wild dream.

It was beyond fascinating hearing Dr. Michael Lennox discuss the power and significance of dreams. He explains the concept of past life dreams, which are dreams that feel like movies and provide a glimpse into a different time and place. Dr. Lennox emphasizes that while he doesn't claim to have all the answers, dreams can offer insights and healing opportunities. He also shares tips for remembering and interpreting dreams, including setting intentions, keeping a dream journal, and engaging in creative activities inspired by dreams. Dr. Lennox highlights the value of dream work in enhancing intuition and connecting with the flow of life.

Lana also discusses the value of spending intentional time with oneself and exploring hobbies. The conversation highlights the need to disconnect from distractions and embrace boredom as a way to tap into creativity and self-reflection.

We later talk about the importance of feeling and being present in our emotions. We explore the impact of avoiding emotions and the benefits of slowing down and disconnecting from technology. Lana shares her experience of disconnecting from social media and the healing effects of spending time in nature. We also discuss the concept of a 'full body yes' and the importance of listening to our bodies. Lana shares her fears of getting stuck and stagnant, while I express my fear of not playing full-out in life. To end the conversation Lana emphasizes the importance of surrounding oneself with like-minded people and taking action towards one's dreams.

15 Jun 2024Understanding Soul Contracts And Parenting00:25:07

Summary

In this week's episode of The Wellness Matters podcast I decided to piggy back off of my last podcast about soul contracts. I was on a hike with my dogs recently and received a loud message to help make parents understand that they are doing great and are exactly what their child was looking for. I discuss the concept of soul contracts and how it relates to parenting and explain that soul contracts are agreements made in the soul realm before coming to Earth, where souls choose their parents and the experiences they want to have. I emphasize that parents should understand that their child chose them because of who they are, and that they are doing everything they are supposed to be doing. I also encourage parents to stop trying to mold their children into versions of themselves and instead allow them to be who they came here to be. I remind parents that their children are their teachers and that they signed a contract with them to learn and grow together. At the end of the podcast I announced my upcoming creation of a soul contract workbook to help people understand their purpose and relationships.

Takeaways

Children choose their parents and the experiences they want to have through soul contracts.

Parents should understand that their child chose them because of who they are and that they are doing everything they are supposed to be doing.

Parents should stop trying to mold their children into versions of themselves and instead allow them to be who they came here to be.

Children are the teachers of their parents and both parties signed a contract to learn and grow together.

I am creating a soul contract workbook to help people understand their purpose and relationships.

23 Jun 2024Challenges In The Western Healthcare System And The Launch Of Good Psyche00:56:39

Summary

Trish Mock, founder of Good Psyche, joined me on the Wellness Matters podcast to discuss the use of medicinal plants and fungi for overall well-being. Trish's inspiration comes from her mother, who practices herbalism and traditional Chinese medicine on their regenerative herb farm. We discussed the importance of regenerative farming and its impact on the nutrient content of plants. Trish also shares her personal journey with holistic wellness and the use of psychedelics for mental and emotional health. Trish emphasized the need for a more holistic approach to healthcare and the limitations of the Western healthcare system. Trish shares her journey of finding a gentle and brain-friendly supplement to support her mental health. She discovered the plant Kanna, which has been used for centuries by a tribe in South Africa. Kanna is legal, non-toxic, non-habit forming, and safe. It behaves as an SSRI, or antidepressant, and has numerous benefits for mental, emotional, and physical health. Trish created Good Psyche to make Kanna and other plants more accessible and developed products like Sidekick, a euphoric mouth spray, and Glisten Up, a hydrating facial mist.

Takeaways

Medicinal plants and fungi can bring balance to the body and have a positive impact on overall quality of life.

Regenerative farming focuses on evaluating each parcel of land and restoring it to a state of homeostasis, resulting in healthier and more nutrient-rich plants.

The Western healthcare system often fails to address the unique needs of women and relies on a profit-driven model.

Psychedelics, when used responsibly, can have positive effects on mental and emotional health, but caution should be exercised and professional guidance is recommended. Kanna is a plant that has been used for centuries by a tribe in South Africa and behaves as an SSRI/antidepressant.

Good Psyche was created to make Kanna more accessible and develop products that promote mental, emotional, and physical health.

07 Jul 2024The Power Of Soul Contracts: Choosing Our Challenges01:13:00

Summary

This week on the Wellness Matters Podcast I talked with a new friend, Wendy Richow. We met a few months ago when we were both in Austin, Texas. She happened to listen to an older podcast of mine explaining my ideas on soul contracts. Wendy texted me saying she has similar beliefs and that she knew she chose her alcoholic parents. I was thrilled when she said she would share her story on the podcast because so many of us have traumatic stories from our childhood but, ironically, many don't know they may have had a hand in it!

The conversation was so effortless and went in many directions. We discussed the importance of self-reflection, forgiveness, and not judging others. We also explored the concept of the villain in our lives being the souls that love us the most. I reflected on my own journey of healing and finding balance between masculine and feminine energies. Wendy shared her personal journey of healing and growth, highlighting the role of protection and guidance in her life. There are so many great nuggets in the podcast and I hope it's able to help you reflect on your idea of soul contracts.

Takeaways

The concept of soul contracts suggests that we choose our parents and the challenges we face in order to learn and grow.

Self-reflection and forgiveness are important tools for healing and personal growth.

The people who play the role of the villain in our lives are often the souls that love us the most and are helping us learn important lessons.

Finding balance between masculine and feminine energies is key to emotional well-being.

Judging others and holding onto negative emotions only hinders our own growth and happiness. Balancing masculine and feminine energies is key to finding inner harmony and well-being.

Exploring the concept of soul contracts can provide a deeper understanding of life experiences and relationships.

Conscious effort is required to heal, overcome triggers, and embody higher vibrations.

Connection, kindness, and curiosity can create a more loving and harmonious world.

Self-reflection and journaling can accelerate the healing journey and provide insights into personal growth.

Acknowledging the interconnectedness of all beings and approaching life with curiosity can lead to profound transformations.

21 Jul 2024Exploring The Power Of EMDR Therapy00:51:11

Summary

In this week's episode of The Wellness Matters Podcast, I spoke with Laura Lemmey, a licensed clinical social worker, about her practice and the use of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. We discuss how EMDR works, its origins, and its effectiveness in treating trauma. We also touch on the importance of embracing change and the role of protector parts in the healing process. In this conversation, we discuss the theme of not feeling good enough and the impact it has on individuals, especially teenagers. We explore the concept of the negativity bias and how it limits our ability to tolerate and believe in good things. Laura also discussed the role of trauma and PTSD in shaping our beliefs and behaviors. Laura explains the benefits of EMDR therapy and the importance of deep, uninterrupted work in the healing process. She emphasized the need for self-exploration and curiosity in order to move towards healing and personal growth.

Takeaways

EMDR therapy uses eye movements to calm the amygdala and reduce fear responses.

EMDR therapy can help individuals who have hit a wall in their healing journey and are looking for additional tools.

Change can be scary, but it is necessary for growth and reaching one's full potential.

Protector parts in the psyche are necessary but can be given new jobs that are more developmentally appropriate. Many people, especially teenagers, struggle with feelings of not being good enough.

The negativity bias is hardwired in our brains and limits our ability to tolerate and believe in good things.

Trauma, both overt and covert, can have a lasting impact on our beliefs and behaviors.

EMDR therapy is an effective approach for healing trauma and changing negative narratives.

Deep, uninterrupted work is essential for meaningful healing and personal growth.

28 Jul 2024Decoding Names: Unveiling The Secrets Of Soul Contracts01:01:58

Summary

In this episode of The Wellness Matters Podcast, I interviewed the talented Gallyahna Aakhen, a soul contract reader. We discussed the concept of soul contracts and how they can help individuals understand their soul's purpose and karmic patterns. Gallyahna shared her personal journey into this work and explains how she decodes a person's name to reveal their soul contract. Overall, the episode explores the idea that our souls choose specific experiences and relationships in order to learn and grow. She explains that our souls choose our parents and life experiences to help us fulfill our purpose. Gellyahnah emphasizes the importance of healing and forgiveness in order to open the heart chakra and live in alignment with our true selves.

Gallyahna reads her clients' soul contracts by figuring out the sound frequencies of the person's birth name. It is a way to decode the person's higher self or soul-self's plan for their life. This is a must listen!

Takeaways

Soul contracts are agreements made by our souls before we incarnate, outlining the experiences and lessons we will have in this lifetime.

Soul contract readings involve decoding a person's name to reveal their unique talents, goals, and karmic patterns.

The awakening process often involves deconstructing our lives and questioning societal expectations in order to align with our true selves.

Empaths, like those with the 11-2 soul destiny, are highly sensitive individuals who absorb the emotions and beliefs of others.

Incorporating knowledge of soul contracts into education could help children understand their unique gifts and navigate their emotions more effectively. Our souls choose our parents and life experiences to help us fulfill our purpose

Healing and forgiveness are essential for opening the heart chakra and living in alignment with our true selves

11 Aug 2024Supporting Children Through Human Design01:00:29

Summary

In this episode of The Wellness Matters Podcast, I met up with Aypril Porter, a human design life coach and author of the book Parenting the Child You Have. We discussed the importance of living an authentic life and using human design as a tool to understand ourselves and our children. We explore the different energy types in human design (generator, manifesting generator, projector, manifestor, and reflector) and provide parenting tips for each type. Aypril emphasizes the need for parents to understand and honor their child's unique energy type and to create an environment that supports their individual needs.

In this conversation, Aypril and I discuss the importance of understanding a child's human design chart and how it can help parents better support their children. By doing so, they can give their children the best gift of allowing them to be their authentic selves.

Takeaways

Living an authentic life is essential for avoiding burnout and dissatisfaction.

Human design is a tool that can help us understand ourselves and our children on an energetic level.

Each energy type (generator, manifesting generator, projector, manifestor, reflector) has unique characteristics and needs.

Parents should honor and support their child's energy type, providing the necessary space, invitations, and information.

Understanding and embracing our children's energy types can lead to better relationships and a more harmonious family dynamic. Understanding a child's human design chart can help parents better support their children.

Each child has a unique energy type, defined and undefined centers, and inner authority that influence their behavior and decision-making.

Parents should trust their inner-knowing and parent in a way that is authentic to themselves and their children.

By allowing children to be their authentic selves, parents give them the best gift.

25 Aug 2024Healing Is A Right For All People00:51:40

Summary

In this week's episode of The Wellness Matters Podcast, I had a very personal conversation with a dear friend of mine. Her story will touch the hearts of everyone and I'm so lucky she was brave enough to share it with all of us! My guest this week is Seanna Chiara. She wanted to talk about how her life's ups and downs brought her to rock bottom fast. She ended up at a point where her body was self imploding and waking up every day was dreadful. Seanna is now on a mission to tell anyone who will listen that if she can heal her body as well as her mindset then anyone can!

This conversation was near and dear to my heart because I was able to witness the unfolding of her purpose and magic. Sometimes we all need a good story to set us on the right track for our healing. Now she is helping others heal (you can find her website further down) and find their purpose in life. I dare you to listen to this podcast and not feel called to move your healing needle.

Takeaways

Pain is pain, regardless of whether it is physical or emotional. Seanna's story of self-healing can inspire others who are suffering.

Authenticity and self-love are crucial in the healing process. Embracing our true selves and accepting our flaws can lead to transformation.

Changing our mindset and language around mental health and emotions is essential. Normalizing all emotions and avoiding labels can create a more inclusive and supportive environment.

Soul contracts play a role in personal growth and healing. Understanding that we have chosen our experiences and relationships can shift our perspective and empower us.

Self-healing is possible for anyone, regardless of their background or knowledge of wellness. It is a journey of self-discovery and self-empowerment. Labels can have a significant impact on individuals, especially children, and can limit their potential.

Reclaiming personal power and self-love is essential for healing and personal growth.

Finding one's way of talking to oneself is important, as traditional affirmations may not resonate with everyone.

Exploring alternative healing methods and trusting one's intuition can lead to profound transformation.

Having hope and empowering oneself can create a positive shift in one's life.

15 Sep 2024Beginner Mindset On Spirituality With Ashley Hamilton00:53:52

Summary

This week on The Wellness Matters Podcast, I had a personal conversation with a long time friend of mine, Ashley Hamilton. I thought it would be nice to have Ashely on because she recently went through a spiritual awakening. I had her ask me some beginner-type questions about spirituality because, honestly, I have been studying and living this life long enough where I sometimes forget what the beginning felt like. It was a fun and interesting way to conduct our conversation. We talked about topics like:

Why people may hesitate to start their healing or spiritual journey.

The difference between religion and spirituality.

The shadow side of spirituality.

Soul contracts.

Takeaways

The fear of judgment and the belief that one doesn't have enough time are common reasons why people hesitate to start their healing or spiritual journey.

Religion and spirituality are different, with spirituality emphasizing going within and reclaiming one's power.

Discernment is key in spirituality, as individuals need to determine what feels right for them and what doesn't.

The spiritual journey involves shadow work and navigating the dark aspects of oneself, but it also leads to growth and transformation.

Finding balance and grounding oneself are important in maintaining a healthy spiritual practice. Soul contracts involve choosing challenging life experiences for the purpose of growth and learning.

During times of emotional intensity, it is important to practice grounding and self-care.

Each person's spiritual journey is unique, and it is not necessary to leave behind loved ones who may not be on the same path.

Introducing mindfulness practices, such as deep breathing, to children can help them regulate their emotions and develop self-awareness.

Allowing each person to follow their own spiritual journey is essential, as everyone has their own unique path.

I had the privilege to chat with Victoria and Tiffany of the Spirit Mamas! Their infectiously fun and warm personalities made for a wonderful conversation. We talked all about the importance of community, healing the mother wound, and why we need to clear space of things that no longer serve us in order to make room for new loving thoughts and practices. 02 Apr 2023Spiritual Awakening With Ronald Holt01:17:52

I had the absolute pleasure to talk with educator Ronald Holt! Ronald has been featured on the Gaia channel and is known for explaining core principles of sacred geometry and its relationship to consciousness. He has held many teaching engagements and retreats over the years.

In this podcast he does an incredible job explaining his thoughts on probably the most important question we all ask... why are we here? Ronald talks about his early experiences with the things we can't see but know are there and how to tap into our own inner awareness.

We discussed the importance of doing inner healing to help the awakening process as well as taking time to connect to Mother Earth. Ronald gives examples of how he stays in alignment as well as a really helpful trick to try during meditation. He is a wealth of knowledge and I am beyond grateful he took time to have such a wonderful conversation with me😊.

20 Nov 2022Changing Your Money Mindset01:09:05

Another great podcast this week! I got to chat with my dear friend Melanie Esperon again from Reiki Room San Diego. While taking an online class it occurred to me that so many people don't take a chance on themselves because they want to conserve money but, ironically, the thing they wont purchase could make all the difference in their mindset. In that moment I knew I had to do a podcast on the energetics of money and I knew exactly who my guest should be. Melanie gives tons of examples regarding the scarcity mindset she grew up with and how far she has come. She gives tangible examples of how to make this mind shift and understanding that we are all worthy of a great life. Even if you have a lot of abundance, this podcast is still beneficial to hear because abundance is limitless. There are always new ways of looking at and thinking of energy. This is a podcast you will not want to miss.

09 Apr 2023Female Business Owners, This One's For You!00:32:14

This week's podcast was SUPER fun! I was able to have a conversation with the founder of Small Business Moms, Laura McleanShe is a wife, boy-mom, small town Missouri girl, and a 'multi-passionate' entrepreneur. It is her goal to help other woman do BIG things.

Laura, like many people, started her own business and quickly ran into a number of questions and issues but had no idea where to turn for help. This is how Small Business Moms came to be. She started a Facebook group that has now accrued over 20k members. If anyone has questions about their own business now there is definitely a place to turn for answers. She also has multiple membership options to choose from which I mentioned last week. I'm in Laura's book club and soon the very popular Amy Porterfield will be joining us for a live chat...I'm so excited!

Laura has tons of ideas, a very big reach, and is so down to earth that you can't help but want to be part of her team. You don't have to have a business started to be curious about her ideas. Give this podcast a listen for some positive conversation with great ideas.

10 Apr 2022Children's Author and Therapist, Erick French00:54:54

This week's podcast is super interesting because I had the pleasure of meeting with a very talented therapist who specializes in hypnotherapy and many other healing modalities. His name is Erick French, MSW, LCSW of One Awareness Counseling and Therapy. However, what I found so fascinating about Erick was how he incorporates the mind-body connection as well as spirituality into his healing sessions!

11 Jun 2023Take Control Of Your Health With The Power Of Your Mind00:31:13

For this week's episode I decided to do a solo podcast. I was feeling very inspired after listening to a lecture Bruce Lipton, Ph.D. gave several years ago. If you don't know who Bruce Lipton is, he is an internationally recognized leader in bridging science and spirit. He is a stem cell biologist, author, and guest speaker on hundreds of TV and radio shows.

Some main topics I cover:

-The experiment that changed everything.

-Understanding that our cells don't dictate us, rather our environment does (our mind.)

-The difference between the conscious and subconscious brain.

-How the years birth through six effect us through adulthood.

-Easy to understand examples of how we can avoid being victims in our own lives.

29 Jan 2023Near Death Experience with Steve Noack00:50:56

I went down a YouTube rabbit hole recently and I came across a video about a man named Steve Noack and his near-death experience. His story intrigued me so much that I emailed him right away! I knew his story could change so many people's views about what comes after death.

Steve is a psychic and zero-point quantum energy practitioner. A Quantum Healer has the ability to create a high frequency of life-force energy and then use that energy to place a field of high energy around an area of pain, stress, inflammation, or disease. This process is understood to amplify the body’s natural healing ability.

My conversation with Steve is one you DO NOT want to miss. He is full of so many useful insights and ways of creating peace in your life. I encourage you to learn more about Steve by checking out his website  trinityquantumhealth.com .

I had the pleasure to connect with a woman named Eliza Schecter. She is an amazing woman who came on my podcast to bravely share her story with addiction. I instantly felt connected to Eliza because her journey made me realize that we all fight forms of addiction everyday in the form of food, social media, exercise, sugar, and SO much more. Addiction can affect anyone from any corner of the globe and from any walk of life.

Eliza goes deep into her childhood explaining her loneliness and lack of getting attention from those around her. Her struggles with being seen by her family went on for years and eventually led down a dark path. In this podcast Eliza shares:

-How she went from abusing alcohol and then on to drugs
