Also, it has inspired conspiracy theorist who claim alien encounters are actually human time travellers. With are current rate of technology I could envision some form of time travel, but that would cost billions of dollars and take a lifetime to develop. Maybe if were fortunate we can detect a wormhole in space and use it as are universal time machine. This idea may sound crazy to you, but so was the airplane, telephone and personal computers. He didn't greet me at the door as he normally did, he was withdrawn and reclusive not his light hearted self.  his age was a factor, rust seeped into his bones, his athletic legs of yesterday can hardly climb up the stairs. My old friend has seen better days, half the time  he doesn't know where he is, we call his name but he rarely responds, a high wheezing sigh parted his lips, was it fatigue or indigestion it was difficult to tell, a doctors visit would be too expensive and we couldn't afford insurance, we had to watch our friend sink down the drain, his mind dissolving, body faltering.  Two weeks after the Christmas dinner we received the grim but expected message, due to complications his family decided to put him down. $150 for a trained professional to inject a needle in the skin, he did not realize that today was his demise when they placed him in a cage and drove him to Gatineau.  His small furry body absorbed the poison, his feline tail laid flat on the table.

Depression is like a dog who's constantly barking and biting at your heel Because of social distancing due to COVID, depression and other forms of mental disease is on the rise. If your not suffering I'm sure you know someone who is. When the lockdown in my city was firmly in place downtown Ottawa seemed like a ghost town, sort of like a scene from the Walking Dead. The trendy shops, book stores and restaurants were closed. The Canadian hustle and flow of the Byward Market was reduced to crickets, and the packed city buses were deserted. I wouldn't be surprised if I saw a tumbleweed blowing in the wind. I wish I could tell you I was emotionally immuned but it got to me. Seeing everyone wearing masks and keeping at a safe distance. For a person who feeds off the energy of other earthlings isolation could be a deathnail. I don't mean to sound like a drama queen but it's true. I kind of long for a packed city bus again, are you like me? To be honest I noticed myself slipping into dark mental places. It's hard to cheer yourself up with Netflix and stupid cat videos on Youtube when it feels like the world is coming to an end. It really comes down to a matter of perspective and unplugging from social media. I don't have all the answers, not even the "experts" have all the answers. We all like to be in control, I know I do, and the fear is a loss of control. Maybe it's okay not to have all the answers. I wrote this episode not because I have overcome the Black Dog but I'm still going through it and by the grace of God one day I will overcome these negative and destructive thoughts. Ted and Nemron debate the moral implications of resurrecting the human experiment. By the press of the button humanity could be reborn, but is it worth it? Season 2, Episode 1 This philosophical conversation takes place outside of our known universe. Everything we are experiencing is an illusion or more accurately a computer simulation.  If you haven't listened to season one’s finale,  Human Data File 365, I suggest that you do. It may make more sense to witness the conversation of these supernatural beings that spun the galaxies into existence. The original story was written a few years ago in my book Universe Splendor. When I wrote it, I wasn’t familiar with the Simulation Theory, the idea that humanity and all of life is a complex code. The goal of writing Human Data file was to explore and ponder spiritual mysteries. That's what I enjoy about writing stories, to stretch myself beyond my comfort zone, to challenge my worldviews and basic beliefs.For the record I don't believe in the Simulation Theory, even though one of my favorite movies is the Matrix. In this modern-day classic Neo, played by Keanu Reeves, is chosen to liberate humanity from there virtual world. The proponents of the Simulation Theory have failed to offer conclusive evidence that Earthlings are mere 1's and 0's inside of a computerized algorithm. If we are only sophisticated codes  or subroutines controlled and manipulated by outside forces, then free will is a misnomer. If there is no such thing as free will then the concept of morality is a complete fabrication. If we endorse the idea of Simulation Theory, then are actions right or wrong is outside of our control. You can't blame the person that breaks into your home and kills your Poodle since his or her actions were preordained. The crime scene was cut and dry, a disgruntled accountant armed with a suicide vest seeked revenge. An old fashioned cassette tape was left behind, one that could elevate your consciousness or turn you into a killer. Season 2, Episode 2 This story is a combination of two previous stories from season one: Murder within the colour wheel and Better version of you. To get the most out of this episode go back and listen to both of them. Murder within the colour wheel and Better version of you seems radically different on the surface. How can I connect both stories to tell a bigger story? This was a challenge, but as a writer I welcomed it. I listened carefully to both episodes over and over, again and again, trying to find the thread. I knew it was there I could feel it, but I couldn't describe it completely. When I found the thread I started writing. Inspiration? I have always been fascinated with mind control techniques, the idea that someone could manipulate our behaviour by inserting cleverly crafted words. Main stream media including social media has ways of shaping our reality. They sneak their way into our subconscious and plant seeds. Unfortunately many of us are succumbed by their titillating messages and bombarded by their fake images. With careful moves on the chessboard they have reprogrammed our minds. Thankfully this is not all of us. If we are mindful we can see through the lies and the misinformation. We can safeguard our most precious commodity, our mind. Slipped on a bar of soap, struck my head and rushed to the hospital. In and out of consciousness as I heard my family plotting the unthinkable. Season 2, Episode 4 To test your humanity you have to be pushed to the limit. Living in a perpetual state of luxury does not heighten spiritual awareness, on the contrary it could make you docile and impotent. In our current North American culture we are in pursuit of the happy pill, or we desire for the Government to pay our bills, wipe our nose and take out the trash. Whenever a nation becomes wealthy and at relative peace her citizens become apathetic and lethargic. Since there's no wars to fight and famine to vanquish we become selfish and small minded. Rather than giving ourselves over to creative projects and uplifting our fellow Earthlings we try to find blemishes.Instead of forgiveness and understanding we are quick to press the cancel button. In this story are main protagonist is on the verge of cancellation. On the surface he's an awful Earthling who only cares about himself. However, before we reach for the cancel button we need to look at ourselves in the mirror. The closest I came to wearing the uniform was when my best friend joined Air Cadets.My two or three day stay was spent being barked at by the drill instructor and forced to do push-ups, I suck at push-ups. Sometimes we could have a romantic or an ideologistic view of the Military, perhaps it's just me. But after quitting Air Cadets in less than a week it confirms that I'm not military material. This person will dissect your story, study all the nuts and bolts and see if your story holds together. We need the objective critic, not the cheerleader. The objective critic sharpens our skills, the cheerleader strokes our ego. To be honest I would rather be sourounded by beautiful cheerleaders telling me how awesome I am, but in my innermost soul I need the objective critic. In today's parlance 'criticism' is viewed as a negative word so we desperately try to avoid it. The very thing that could improve our writing we run away from.How strange. No need to kill and eat our food when we could swipe the screen and order buckets of chicken. Earth and all of its goodies in one or two taps. With all of these first world advantages we remain stressed out. The pressure to keep up with our neighbors and hustle for 'the good life' has left us spiritually and emotionally deficient in this George Jetson world. Many of us lack balance and chase after things to quench our immediate needs. We seek comfort from the bosoms of social media with their  'likes' and retweets. No wonder this generation is besset with social anxieties and mental fatigue. Dr Needlemeyer, the once respected astrophysicist, claims he's receiving messages two years into the future about a coming apocalypse. Is he a liar, a lunatic or is he telling the truth? Season 3, EP 1 Some scientist are convinced its theoretically possible to time travel. The notion that time traveling is restricted to hollywood movies and syfy novels is losing its grip. In recent years scientist are able to move a single particle from one fixed point in time to another, of course this is on a micro level. To truly bend time or go back to the future we need something more powerful than a DeLorean. Maybe a black hole or something equivalent could bend spacetime and transport our mortal coil into the future. Unfortunately or fortunately, depending on how you look at it, we lack the technology to transform this idea into reality. Maybe we will get there. But what about receiving messages from the future?This is a form of time travelling on a smaller scale. A black hole or the power of a star is not required, all we need is a quantum computer. The Hollywood Superstar or the Chosen One, who will you choose. S3 Episode 7 Jesus has been misunderstood, misscategorized and maligned.He's the most famous man to ever walk the Earth. His teachings and way of life is both magnetizing and polarizing. He was born a rebel, lived as a revolutionist and died as a martyr.His followers called him the Lamb of God, the Lion from the tribe of Judah, the Chosen One. Times have changed and has given birth to Hollywood and Social Media. Historical figures with rough edges and uncomfortable features are chiseled, repackaged and relabled. To appeal to a broader demographic Jesus had to change. His radical ideas and unbending dogma needed to give way to progressive enlightenment.Sin, damnation and the cross needed to be replaced. With slow strategic and precise measures a new Jesus emerged from the factory. This version is passive, tame and a bit of a hippie with long blonde hair and creamy blue eyes. By toning down his message and converting him into a self help guru he appeals to the everyday Walmart Shopper. Not wanting to feel left out many churches ditched the biblical Jesus for version 2.0. Such a gamble paid off as Mega Churches blossomed across America. The historical/biblical Jesus is still out there in the desert telling mankind to repent. It's harder to find him with Netflix, YouTube and thousands of distractions. If you search for the real Jesus you may not like him. He's not going to tickle your ear and call you his special snowflake.He's not going to overlook your sins and give you a pat on the back. Too bad.So be careful what you search for. Some events in our lives seem random like unconnected dots, when we look closer we see the threads. Urban legend speaks of a man dressed in a black pinstripe suit, gold pocket watch and a fedora. He appears when you least expect him, and he collects what you desperately try to keep. Some claim he’s a negative spirit sent from the Underworld, others claim he’s an agent of the Divine Order. Jeff’s lifeless body is wheeled back and forth from the office.The first potential head transplant makes the news. Perhaps my colleague could leave his wheelchair behind but is this just a distraction? Season 3, Episode 11 Most of us are distracted with the nonessentials. We worry ourselves to death about trivial things. We live in a world of distractions and as technology increases by the millisecond are attention divides. Youtube and Twitter are the template of attention deficit. These short messages and videos are easily consumed in a couple of minutes. Shorter videos and tweets generate more likes and reshares. Longer messages are ignored.  If you want to go viral it has to be short. Back in my days and I’m not that old, people's attention span was wider. We could read an in depth article without getting distracted by stupid cat videos. But we crave distractions because it keeps us from asking profound questions, such as the meaning and purpose of life and what happens after we die.  These are uncomfortable questions, we’ll rather talk about the latest Marvel movie or political scandals, but these are the most important questions. In my defence I was struggling with how to conclude this season. Everything I wrote was crap. I started one story just to run into plot holes and roadblocks. Also my dear sweet family was coming over from Jamaica. Great!  Not because I don’t love my family but this gives me even less time to work on a finale. That wasn’t the worst part. A man dressed in black sat nearby, no one invited him and no one could see him but me. The rest of the story you have to listen to and draw your own conclusions. The host of this podcast died in the Season 3 finale, his wife reflects on his history and the desperate attempt to bring him back to life.  Season 4, Episode 1 People throughout the centuries have tried to find the fountain of youth, the secret to longevity and the answer to immortality.  Longevity can be attained by avoiding certain foods, Illegal drugs, and risky  professions such as Nascar racing. You can live in an iron bubble without stepping outside. But who wants to do that? However, Immortality is impossible. We as earthlings have tried and failed miserably. But now there is hope. Thanks to Google, Amazon, Jericho Labs and other high tech cloud services your  consciousness could live on forever. Sounds cool? Some people are horrified with the possibility that their mind could be uploaded into a computer or Life Replica. They feel the dead should rest in peace and not linger on a digital cloud. Probably they're right. You've heard the term, "gone too soon." Wouldn't it be incredible to preserve the  consciousness of leading thinkers. Say for instance if Einstein,  Beethoven, MLK, Apostle Paul lived on. We can continue to learn from these great earthlings as their theories, music, science and social causes develop.  Not convinced? I hit rock bottom, life was slapping me in the face. I called 1800 life coach and that's when things turned around, but maybe not for the better. You decide. Season 4, Episode 2 This story was inspired by my years spent in an unusual church. From the outside it looked like any other  Protestant evangelistic church.  We sang worship songs, had Bible study groups and Christmas presentations. It was everything you think a typical church should be. Bonus points: it was also multicultural. But beyond the warm smiles and ethnic meals there was a controlling element.You were forbidden to date or marry outside of the group and your "personal time" was scrutinized. Each member was assigned a personal "coach" to guide them spiritually. It wasn't just a good idea to listen to your coach, you had to listen to your coach. Accountability is good It keeps earthlings in line so we don't do stupid things. This church took accountability to an unhealthy level. If you have similar experiences I would like to hear from you. For me I'm still in recovery even though I left this group a few years ago. If you want to destroy your writing career then pour yourself a tall glass of soda, a large bowl of cheetos, turn  your remote to Netflix and binge on your favorite show. S4 Episode 4, Mirco Episode I'm sure Netflix doesn't mind you abandoning your manuscript, your potential bestseller in exchange for movie stars.  Go ahead and donate your $12 per month to add to these celebrities bank account  I'm sure they're grateful for your sacrifice. Your potential bestseller can wait but the new season of Stranger Things can't wait.  So enjoy yourself, curl up in your warm blanket and throw away the clock. Maybe tomorrow you can dust off your manuscript and jog your memory of where you left off. You may have to deal with the  guilt of  over indulging on your Netflix fling, but you made your choices no need crying about it. No one forced you to stay up to four in the morning. That was your decision. Netflix was more important than your manuscript, go on admit it. This is a safe place like a confessional booth so you can speak the truth, no sense living a lie.  If you want to rid yourself of the Netflix hangover then decide which one is better, writing your novel or binging on Netflix. This episode may be fake. Every news segment and tweet is probably the same The person in this story created his fantasy, or so it seems. Season 4, episode 5 The line between fact and fantasy is becoming more opaque. Facts are seen as oppressive and hateful. For example, the words "pregnant women" are falling out of fashion and replaced by "pregnant people." Pregnant women are an undeniable biological fact. My wife was pregnant and my mom was pregnant with me. Only women can bear children, this should be a noncontroversial fact. It wasn't too long ago when this statement was without question.  In recent times the science of female biology has been discarded to make room for people's feelings. Science is under attack while certain pundits warn us to "trust the science". They even want us to trust "credible news sources." Those sources paint a tailor made reality with the goal of adopting their worldview. Because of earthlings natural acceptance of authority figures such as the major news networks and social media, the spell is difficult to break. What makes it more difficult is the rise of deep fake videos, images and voices. You can't trust what your little eyes see. Technology is almost at the point that it's nearly impossible to  distinguish the real from the fake. It's vital to question the dominant opinion, it's different than some jerk who questions everything just to be a contrarian. You should question out of sincerity and not grandstanding. Something went terribly wrong in this interview. I thought about scrapping it because it's just too weird, even my guest was ticked off and stormed out. However, there's a lesson in the cobwebs. Season 4, Episode 6 These days almost everything is controversial from your favorite ice-cream brand to a Disney cartoon. One word taken the wrong way could seal your fate.  No wonder people hold their opinions to themselves, because the mob is crazy they'll come after you with torches and pitchforks to drive you out of the village. In my days we had thicker skin. We could tolerate or even engage opposing views. No one wanted your head on a stick. Earthlings have become a little more sophisticated. We built tiny social bubbles with strict talking points and secret access codes. To maintain your group membership you have to render your opinions to the collective. Failure to comply will resort to  ostracization. This story is about a mythical creature that lands in the middle of downtown. What started off as magical and almost spiritual turned into something divisive and ugly. How could this be? Stranger things have happened. One petty incident could convert into an international scandal. Unfortunately this fictional tale is not far from the truth. My beloved Government finally responded to my Life Application, is  this the end of your favorite podcaster? (Bonus Show)  Season 4, Episode 7, micro episode Dear Mr Campbell we reviewed your application to remain a sentient human. We review many life applications so our channel was backlogged. Thank you for your patience. I see you filled out the 30 point questionnaire along with the 5000 word essay double spaced with your address in the top left. You even took the time to answer the bonus questions and elaborated on your privilege to live. How commendable. I'm glad you said it's a privilege and not a right the state should keep you alive. Most applicants complicate the matter by demanding we do them a favour. These are the narcissist, the arrogant, the mouth breathers of the planet. The government's responsibility is to safeguards the longevity of its citizens. We live in the age of rations, of measurements and efficiencies. Allowing every earthling to consume valuable resources will be detrimental to the planet that's why we fashioned the Life Application. Our records reveal you watch 5 hours of Netflix, 3 hours of stupid cat videos, and 7 hours of perpetual garbage. You possess mediocre social skills with zero return on your investment since you invested small change on relationships. You had time to change and develop a spiritual consciousness rather than feeding on the nonsense of the underdeveloped and spending your days subservient to the hand of chaos. I guess we all make our choices. I see on your application you posted your degrees as if education equals being a good human. Applicants often brag about their credentials and all of their stock investments. Your ability to generate money and live comfortably is not what we're looking for. You're mistaking us for your previous government whose only concern was to turn a profit. For the aforementioned reasons we have to terminate your life application. Please don't take it personal. Mr Campbell, do you notice the red dot on your chest, yes that red dot on your chest. We're going to pull the trigger now, best regards: the Canadian government. One lottery ticket, one man's quest for power. Click play to listen before the world burns. Season 4, Episode 8 Everyone has the potential to turn into a monster, everyone including you. Some people may clutch their pearls and declare, "I'll never cross that line" but given the right circumstances you may tip your toe over the line. It's sheer arrogance to think your above certain acts of evil, that somehow you're immune to savagery. If we don't guard our hearts we can all go astray. Steve was given money, power and attention. He could have used these three things to make a better world. We may not be as rich or powerful as Steve but we are given certain traits and privileges. Too often we use them to further our agenda. What would happen if we all use these traits to help our fellow earthlings? This may be a pipe dream since we're living in the "me" generation. Advertising agencies and modern day  psychological theories focus on the self. We are called to care for the self and maintain a good self image. Whenever I flip through Twitter or Instagram that's all I see. Don't believe me. Take a look at all the selfies. We're obsessed with ourselves. We buy filtering apps to smoothen our skin and wait impatiently for the likes to climb. How can a spider change your life? Season 4, Episode 9 (micro episode) Also, some professional podcasters listened to my show and gave me some advice. They said I need to introduce myself and give you the listener a snippet of my credentials in order to prove my authority in the field. It would be arrogant of me to go against the Jedi Council so here goes something. I'm York Campbell, an author and writer of over 400 stories.I'm also a former British Intelligence officer. I Climbed mount Everest three times and won the spelling Bee competition at the tender age of seven.I have sleep Apnea, eat gluten-free foods and was a backup dancer for Janet Jackson Rhythm Nation Tour. I wrote rap songs in the 80's 90s, shipwrecked off the coast of Maui, and earned brownie points for helping old ladies cross the street. I'm fluent in over 5 languages but due to a mental relapse I could only speak one. You try to move but you can't feel your arms and legs. You try to scream but they can't hear you. And then you hear a voice, is it an angel or your tortured conscience?  Season 4, Episode 10 Everyday that you live your building a legacy, every moral decision will live on and affect the ones you love even the ones you don't. They may not make a statue out of you  or name a school after you but you will leave a legacy. My wife said something profound the other day, "one of these children that I'm working with may grow up to be a serial killer." Not the most pleasant thought but She's a childcare worker she sees their strengths and weaknesses. She's been in the field for over 20 years. Hopefully She's wrong however these children will turn into adults and leave a stain or a blessing on humanity.  The person in this story had it all: he was living the dream, with a fancy position, adorable son and a trophy wife. Outwardly he was a success. Most of us get caught up on the exterior, we look at someone's accomplishments and check all the boxes. We make little statues of them in our hearts.  The interior is often neglected, seldom do we ponder on their contentment. We assume that accomplishments equals contentment while these little gods may be drowning in sorrow. What if I told you that the biggest news events are never told, that the government is keeping you fat, amused  and entertained. What your about to hear is what the government doesn't want you to hear. Are you ready to hear the truth?  Season 4, episode 11 Despite the title of this episode I don't believe in most conspiracy theories.These theories rely on pattern recognition and coincidences. You can move letters backwards, replace some with greek letters and spell the mark of the beast. You can analyze a politician's hand gestures and conclude he's a white supremacist. Our minds instinctually look for patterns that's how we make sense of the world but our innate pattern recognition could result in false conclusions. Recently I was listening to a Twitter Space all about conspiracies. It was ridiculous and fascinating. The one thing I believe is that the government is trying to distract us. Some say the boy band craze a few years ago was a calculated attempt to  divert our attention elsewhere. These groups were cleverly stitched together and made to appeal to a wide  demographic. This is just a theory, I'm not telling you to believe it. What I do believe is that entertainment could be a distraction. How many cat videos can we watch, how much Hollywood gossip can we consume before we throw up? Perhaps the government wants to keep us fat and happy so they can get away with murder. I am Atom, the building block of the universe. I have been spliced and placed into a warhead. You can't stop me, you can't ignore me. This is my story before the world burns. Season 4, Episode 12 They said World War 1 was supposed to be the war to end all wars. After 40 million people died in over 30 nations between 1914 and 1918 you would think earthlings learned their lesson.Unfortunately one global war wasn't enough to satisfy man's hunger.So they polished their tanks and planes, counted their missiles and tried again in 1939.  About twice as many died in the sequel, credit goes to advanced tanks, submarines, Jet fighters and of course the nuclear bomb. I'm not a pacifist if thugs were trying to break into my home to hurt my family you bet I will fight. But I would not go out of my way to burn down their relatives' homes.  In 1945 the first nuclear bomb was dropped on Hiroshima Japan. Thousands of ordinary citizens didn't see it coming. A second bomb was dropped on Nagasaki. They said if it wasn’t for the bombs the war would stretch on, they even said the bombs saved lives. My wife continues the story of how I died and how I came to life. I'm still trying to adjust to this body, while she's trying to overcome her guilt. Season 4, Episode 13 The best way to cope with your  inevitable demise is not to hide from it. Earthlings occupy their mind by binging on Netflix, working extra hours, taking endless selfies or getting lost in pop culture. We love distractions.  Hollywood feeds us with endless possibilities and like the hungry hungry  Hippo we  guzzle it down. In our mind there's no room for the thought of death, there's more sexy things to think about. Our brain is a glorious mansion of many rooms. If we're bored in one we can turn the key and enter another. Death is the room located somewhere in the basement with cobwebs over the locks and chains. We seldom visit it and do our best not to think of it.  To have a rich, meaningful and spiritual life we need to acknowledge death. What helps me is prayer, reading scriptures and writing stories. The mission was simple, follow the list and take out the targets. He obeyed orders without hesitation until he met The Suzy. Season 4 Finale, Episode 14 A stable government Is the antidote for chaos. Human rights violation and tyranny is the result of unethical leadership. Poverty stricken nations are not due to a lack of food or resources it stems from the elite. They devise schemes to stay in power and maximize their wealth at the expense of the citizens. Human life is reduced to numbers on a spreadsheet or objects on a board they could move around. In this story earthlings survived a nuclear war. Governments have fallen but a new one has risen to maintain peace. Their idea of peace is to force people to comply with their rules. A stable government must have a healthy democracy where the citizens can speak their minds. We should be able to hold our leaders accountable and to make sure they're living up to their promises. In this story the ruling class is shielded from accountability and scrutiny. If one dares to challenge the authority their name will appear on the kill list. Bullies need to be put in their place or they'll continue stealing our lunch money or stuffing us in the lockers. An unethical government is worse than a highschool bully for they could control every facet of our lives. There's some creators who make it a habit to alienate half of their audience, what are they thinking? In today’s world everything is political down to a comedy sketch to your favorite ice-cream. If you're not all the way left or right of the political spectrum there are pundits forcing you to pick a side, and not just joining the club but going to war against the other camp. Even on Twitter bios the line is clear, you're either with me or against me. Like sheep, many of us believe the mass media, stick to our own kind and cast an evil eye on outsiders. How one billionaire sparked mass hysteria and what this means for writers. You may have heard rumors of the sky falling and humanity torpedoing to its demise. Not from a rogue nation stockpiling weapons of mass destruction or from a solar flare threatening to reduce us to the stone age, but from one eccentric billionaire Elon Musk. In the children's story, Chicken Little, mass hysteria was at its peak. Little was convinced of the immediate apocalypse so he made it his mission to scream it from the rooftops. Mass hysteria is a virus, it spreads its pestilence through social media and turns us into ravenous wolves.  What is the "unforgivable sin" of Elon Musk?  Free speech. He wants everyone to share their views without the threat of being cancelled. He feels a thriving democracy is an exchange of ideas. For writers this should be good news. As you know I enjoy alien invasions, high speed car chases, and post apocalyptic worlds. Romance was never my thing until now. You may accuse me of having a typical male brain, whatever that means. But I'm not one dimensional, I do like the softer things in life such as puppies and rainbows.  However romance novels were never my thing. I always thought of them as too sappy, too mushy, but when I read Elevated Inferno by Carlotta Ardell it changed my mind.  For one it's not mushy and two it's not sappy. It's probably because the author is a Robotics Engineer so she doesn't get lost in emotional dribble. Yeah that's right my special guest designs robots. A new law grants children the right to divorce their parents, but is the government going too far? Season 5, Episode 3 Our top news story this hour is the controversial Child Liberation From Parents Act that just passed in the house of commons. This law grants children full autonomy over every aspect of their lives. For example Children can divorce their parents and choose more suitable caregivers. Opponents to this law are outraged stating this is the demise of the traditional family. A Television set gives Delion glimpses into the future, will he use this knowledge to feed his gambling addiction or to save the world? Season 5, Episode 5 This story takes place in the 1930's when Televisions were a hot commodity. Owning a television was a symbol of wealth and status. Every family craved for a picture box even though the screen was small and the images were in black and white. There were only a couple of channels and the content was subpar but it was the latest and greatest technological achievement. Remember when Apple launched the IPhone in 2007. We marveled at its touch screen display and smooth edges. It could make calls, play music and even surf the web. However there was no Gmail, Facebook and other third party apps, you couldn't even cut and paste. This did not stop the average consumer from going ape crazy for the new device. A television was like an iPhone but on steroids. In this story Delion was trying to compete with his neighbor by buying a picture box and not just any old picture box but one that displays a window into the future. One side wants to maintain the Timeline the other wants to change it. Season 5, Episode 7 An agent wakes up naked in a hotel room. Things appear familiar but he can't recall his name and how he got there. This story and its connected stories took years to develop. My goal was to write a time travel adventure since I'm a geek for time displacement tales. Time traveling stories could be confusing, you have to make sure you establish laws and do your best to abide by them. If the author negates his own time travel laws then the story becomes loopy and difficult to follow. Hopefully this story, Time Collective and 100 Years From Now, will make sense. I'm sleep deprived so this episode may seem backwards and uncouth. Micro Episode Season 5, Ep 8 Last week's episode, Quantum Division, did something bizarre to my brain. It was almost like a cool electric shock danced through my head making it difficult to sleep. Due to my sleep apnea and active imagination, sleep doesn't come easy.I envy those people who sleep like a baby. Are you one of those blessed humans who sleep through the night undisturbed, who wake up in the morning like a viagra commercial? For me sleep is a battlefield of constant tossing and turning and to make matters worse I have to sleep with a CPAP machine. Picture Darth Vader, well that's me in a breathing mask. It took me over a year to get used to this contraption. It was my wife's idea a couple of years ago for me to go to the doctor.She noticed I temporarily stopped breathing while I was asleep. Doctor told me to make an appointment with the Sleep Clinic, this is a place where you sleep overnight and they monitor your breathing. Sounded strange but I decided to go because it would make for a good story. Is reality objective or is it a mere mental construct? Season 5, Episode 9 This episode breaks the 4th wall and dives feet first into the meta of story building. The main character starts to realize he's the main protagonist in the story he created. In order to maintain the universe he developed he has to continuously articulate this story. There's some people who deny objective reality, they think the physical laws of the cosmos are a manifestation of the mind. I don't fall into this camp however I find it fascinating. An unusual email leads me halfway around the world to a small village in the remote country of Evaugne risking my life for my only listener.  Season 5, Episode 10 I'm kind of obsessive when it comes to listener feedback and meeting the needs of my diehard fans. Many of us live as caterpillars when we could become butterflies Season 5, Micro Episode (Ep 12) When you're middle class and live in a safe neighborhood it's easy to shield yourself.  The struggles of living paycheck to paycheck, or putting up with the food price hike doesn't compare to living out in the street or at a homeless shelter. The girl in this story detached herself from her butterfly wings and decided to sell her soul. Season 5, Episode 13 I've always been fascinated with the idea of intelligent lifeforms living in the centre of the Earth. No wonder why I'm a weirdo. The thought of earthlings living under our feet for thousands of years is provocative, at least for me it is. You'll think loyalty begins at home. The person you share your bed with will have your back. Buckle up buttercup your in for a twist.  Season 5, Episode 14 (Bonus) Recently I've been receiving  positive and negative feedback about my show. Positive feedback is always welcome but the negative feedback is like a dagger in the neck.  At least my show is gaining an audience and the larger the audience the more negative vibes. Every movie star and famous authors goes through a battlefield of hurtful words and misguided comments. To become a person of notice you have to develop titanium skin. You will be attacked from all sides so the titanium is crucial.  Last week's micro episode entitled, Only One Listener, is a good example.
