This week it's all about tactical shooting and espionage and what not. In the game Sniper Elite 5 - you are dubbed "the shadow". However, during this weeks recording we learned Jon is more like the EFFING SUNSHINE when he plays. This is the 5th installment of the main Sniper Elite series per the title, coming directly after Sniper Elite 4 but it's still around the time frame of the event in Sniper Elite 2. This takes place in France, or as Shaun said it 'Franch". Well, right out the gate, let's just spill the beans, Jon's not here today -  he took PTO. NO WORRIES! Calm Down! Chris and Shaun are here to cover a once shadow-dropped game that is pretty awesome. What game? Oh  that game is: Hi-Fi Rush. Released on Xbox and Steam/Windows, this game caught fire. Amazing reviews and comments popped up everywhere once people got their hands on it and for good reason. Labeled as a "rhythm game"  - sure it's that - but more as well. Beautiful aesthetics, a banging soundtrack and all in all, a really good time.  Chris mentioned it's a game that doesn't "overstay it's welcome" . What he means it's a perfect balance of length, gameplay and you have a fun time while playing it.  Speaking of playing - Shaun recommends playing with headphones on, and turn it up. It's the week of the "Big Game" in the NFL - who ya got? #Eagles or #Chiefs We'll know by our next recording who won. First, Scheduling Update - we will be taking NEXT Week off (Thanksgiving). With that out of the way, Hey you fine folks! We hope everyone is doing great! What a time of year! Games are coming out, consoles are becoming available, the holidays approach - and we get a special treat via Jon. The treat? We return to Monkey Island people! That's right, finally the anticipated released of Return to Monkey Island is upon us, well it has been for a few months. Jon stepped up to the plate for this review and as it turns out, he found a gem. The game is a point and click adventure - where you really need to pay attention to the small clues to progress and move on in the story. The game also is on Game Pass - so there you go - and on Steam in various bundles. Hello! First - we hope you had a very Happy Valentine's day. We delayed the recording of this week so the likes of Shaun could celebrate the day with his wife...HIS WIIIIIIFE. Hello - you did it. You found the WORLD'S GREATEST Podcast about video games. Welcome, we're glad to have you. If you were looking for us last week, well, we took a week off. Sorry about that. BUT, good news we're back this week! However, the topic...kind of sad-ish.  We regret to inform you that Google Stadia will be shutting it's doors forever on January 18, 2023. It seems everyone heard this news at the same time ish, and this does include developers that were on the platform - i.e. Ubisoft, Bungie.  We dissected the news of Stadia quite a bit and we all agreed the tech behind Stadia was not the reason it didn't "make it". We think it's more like the model for playing/access to/and buying games - it just didn't work. We think it missed software developed by and exclusive to Stadia.  Jon even stated Google should not have given up on it yet. For the most up to date news on Stadia and what you need to know (if you bought it) - I'd say check their official Twitter feed. We've seen it pretty active with news about this and even refunds to it's Pro members. The Twitch Chat was nice this week - good to see you all again. Well hello there! Welcome to the GREATEST Podcast about Video Games, ever. #humble This week no Jon - So Chris and Shaun decided to kick back watch some anime. And cover it, as a topic on show. There is a tie in - it's Cyberpunk. More specific, it's Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.  A Netflix show - contained 10 Episodes of cyberpunk goodness! Listen, this anime is soooo good to the point Shaun and Chris are like alright, it's Richard time. And let's say they both had HIGH MARKS. Just saying. If this was in the mix for GOTY, it's not because it's not a game, it might be the GOTY.  The story, the animations, the music - all of it.....glorious. All the showcases are now out there to watch and digest. We did. There is some good things on the horizon.
