Our special guests for this episode are Jack Wilson and Ben Beetham of Kid Kapichi.

The band released their self-produced debut album This Time Next Year independently,  during lockdown in 2021 and now have signed their first deal for the follow-up, entitled Here’s What You Could Have Won.  This new album is an excellent showcase for the band’s bigger, punchier, ‘beat punk’ sound, which was co-produced with Dom Craik from Nothing But Thieves. 

Now taking the UK rock scene by storm, and finally getting to bring these tracks to life on stage, the guys took some time out ahead of their European tour to talk to Vox about inspiration, their song writing process, playing live and of course their amp of choice – the AC30.

In our very first episode, we talk about what is going on in the world of VOX including chats with VOX R&D engineer Phil Scarffe and industry-legend Paul White.

Portishead guitarist, composer and producer Adrian Utley joins VOX to chat about musical influences, gear, the sonic possibilities of the guitar and much more. 

This episode transports us to California for an exclusive behind-the-scenes interview with the team responsible for designing VOX Guitars. We look back at VOX’s history of building unique guitars; from the 1960’s when many bands including the Rolling Stones played VOX guitars, through later decades when they became the choice of music legends including Prince. Then we take things right up to today’s pioneering VOX guitar range and discover the design ethos behind them. Listen now as we join Rich Lasner and Eric Kirkland in the inner sanctum of VOX Guitars R&D.

With Vox AC30 amps once again returning to stages and studios around the world, this episode takes us to Dublin, Ireland as we meet up with our special guest Alan Duggan from Gilla Band*, as the group prepares for their return to live performances.

We also take a first look at the brand-new Mini Go series of portable amps, designed to be used anywhere - at home, in concert venues or out on the streets.
