01 Feb 2021S2E2: Taken by Surprise00:51:16

It finally happened, our OTP Jack and Mel realized what we all knew from season 1 episode 1. They like each other. A lot! And some other things happen that really made us question if the people in this town really are who them seem to be or if it's all an illusion.  This week important questions are asked and answered like does this town have uber and spoiler alert they probably don't.  Stick around because we think things are about to get a whole lot more interesting.

10 May 2021S2E3: The Morning After00:56:37

We are back! So sorry for being gone for what seems like months on end.  Our lives just became very hectic and there were multiple computer issues.  I know, I know enough with the excuses we are such Charmaine's over with our lack of wanting to do anything except sleep all day but at least she has a reason unlike us.  I pinkie promise we will be back to our one a week from here to the rest of the season! And please, without further ado, Virgin River Season 2 Episode 3: The Morning After.

29 Jun 2021VRVC S2E9: Hazards Ahead00:58:40

It's the penultimate episode of season 2 and they finally listened to us and gave us the sweet, sweet romance we were all so hoping for from not one, not two, but three of our favorite Virgin River townspeople.  This of course is mixed in with a buddy/cop movie plot, criminal activity on various fronts and eavesdropping on significant others' voicemail.  All this and more in this hazardous episode of the Virgin River Visitor Center!

27 Jul 2021VRVC S3E2: Sticky Feet00:51:29

We think the writers were running out of ideas for naming these episodes, and with this one if you weren't paying attention to the last five minutes you'd miss it.  But don't worry visitors, we get into it! Nothing gets past us, the experts of Virgin River.  Neighborhood crime watch is still up and running and we have a sign up sheet if you want to help us catch some season 3 villains because they are still out there. Tragic.

27 Jul 2022S4E1: Be My Baby01:04:35

Welcome back! Our first episode of season 4, and it's a doozy.  All our friends are back and better than ever, except for poor Brady. This season opens with more questions than answers: who shot Jack, Brady, or Vince, who is Mel's baby's daddy, and will there be any boats? Once again we are confused about the timeline of this show.  Has it been one week, month, or day since the last episode? It's hard to say.  We are hoping for boats, babies, and banter with our favorite townspeople this season. Now I'm off to buy some more red string for my murder board. Keep your eyes peeled for Bert.

17 May 2021VRVC S2E4: Rumor Has It00:53:34

The best thing about community picnics is hearing the latest gossip and choosing sides while collectively helping a family in need. Oh wait, I think that's just the best thing that happened at the 33rd Annual Virgin River Community Picnic. In this episode Mel makes her first real friend and we are placing bets to see if we ever see this person again (our bet is on no). Don't lose all your marbles and listen to this episode of the Virgin River Visitor Center!

P.S. Adele called and she wants her song title back

14 Dec 2020S1E3 ... and Found00:46:27

Hello Visitors and welcome back! We are so sorry it's taken about a month for this episode to go up.  2020 has not been great as we all know, and unfortunately Liz had COVID and that affected our recording schedule.  We go into more detail about this in Episode 4.  Because of this delay, we are going to try for  3 episodes a week! And with that, please enjoy this episode where we finally learn the difference between a boat sound and a train sound.

As a warning, this episode does deal with postpartum depression and we are not experts in the area but have a serious discussion and have some resources if you or a loved one need help.

Postpartum resources:

Postpartum Support International: Postpartum Support International is dedicated to helping families suffering from postpartum depression, anxiety, and distress. National Suicide Prevention Hotline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255).

25 Dec 2020A California Christmas - A Very Visiting Center Special Christmas Episode 00:32:49

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all! This episode we took a break from the usual Virgin River podcast and made a special Christmas episode. We decided to try our hand at another Netflix original and this time one of their Christmas specials.  Suffice to say Liz and Caroline bashed A California Christmas for being anything but a Christmas movie.  We honestly couldn't believe it was on the top 10 list of most popular movies on Netflix when we watched it.  This was however, a fun and festive time for all!

We hope you all have a wonderful and safe holiday season and here's to hoping your 2021 is exponentially better than 2020!

31 Dec 2020S1E9: Everybody Has a Secret00:51:58

We have a secret, we really want you to listen to this episode.  Everyone in this town has a secret and everyone in town knows each other's secrets but they don't think everyone knows.  We know, we know it's very confusing but you will be able to keep up.  Let's all agree that communication is very important for blossoming relationships and honesty is the best policy.

24 Dec 2020S1E7: If Truth Be Told01:04:39

If Truth Be Told... we very much enjoyed this episode.  It has everything you could want from a Virgin River episode: medical drama, fishing, the discussion of weekends vs weekdays for a town mingle.  We also ask if Doc has worn pants since his childhood.  All this and more in this episode of the Virgin River Visitor Center.

21 Sep 2022VRVC S4E6: All's Faire...00:49:22

It's finally time for the Faire and the whole town is there...and doing their normal jobs just in costume? To be faire, the costumes make everything better. But there's knights, and ale and of course drama.

14 Jun 2021VRVC S2E7: Breaking Point01:05:15

Welcome back to the Visitor Center! We are pretty sure Mel doesn't understand basic safety and locking doors, but she is a great midwife and we finally get to see her in action.  The title suggests there is a breaking point but it's more like a crack.  On another note, there may or may not have been real boats in the water this episode!

21 Sep 2021VRVC S3E7: Split00:53:31

Banana split, split logs, split ends, a split second... common things that are split but what about relationships? Hmm something to think about in this episode of Virgin River.  Tragically we learn the hard way that all good things must come to an end, and we are not happy about, not one little bit.

18 Nov 2020S1E1: Carry On00:56:46

Welcome to the metaphysical Visitor Center in Virgin River and our first full episode!

Episode 1: Carry on is the pivotal first episode of both the show and this podcast and Caroline and Liz discuss important matters such as: what time of year does this show take place? Why does this small town hate "city folk"? What's up with all the flannel? Is everyone in this town in their own time zone? And many more!

Pack your bags and your impractical shoes, we're going to Virgin River!

25 Aug 2021VRVC S3E4: Take My Breath Away 00:59:13

Well, look at that, we're back.  We have climbed out of our hole on the bottom of Mel's pond and finally have a new episode to share. And just like Mel we won't apologize for our actions.  We're not from a sleepy town (which as we discuss in the episode what does this even mean?) so we have important city town things to do.  So please enjoy this episode and don't get mad at us and dry drown us.  Speaking of drowning poor Christopher just can't catch a break with his health.  Thanks and we will try to be more consistent but no promises.

10 Aug 2022VRVC S4E3: Grilled01:02:07

Content warning for child loss: In this episode, we continue to discuss child loss, so feel free to skip this episode if you need to.  We don't spend too much time discussing the scene.

Meanwhile, one of our favorite couples, Grilled Cheese, is back in full force and Jack feels "grilled" dealing with his parents' news and he and Mel are enjoying some grilled steaks.  Everyone else in town is doing stuff as well so listen in to learn more about this episode. And, as always, crime watch opens the door for what is to come.

20 Nov 2020S1E2: Lost00:56:19

Lost. What is lost in Virgin River this episode? Don't worry the Virgin River Visitor Center has the town's lost and found so we can help you find what you're looking for.  Could it be the abandoned baby's mom? Or maybe it's the whereabouts of Mel's husband.  Or it could be that the hosts lost their marbles and forgot what a boat sounds like.  Whatever it is, join Caroline and Liz as they hunt for the answers.

20 Jul 2022Season 4 Trailer Breakdown and Predictions00:27:32

Hello and welcome back to Virgin River.  It's definitely been a while, but we are so so so excited for season 4! In honor of the release date for season 4, we are sharing some predictions we have for this upcoming season and an elaborate trailer breakdown.  Hopefully, we get some things right and that this season we catch our town crime lord, and this little town can finally get the peace and quiet it claims to have!

04 Jan 2021S1E10: Unexpected Endings01:00:42

We made it to the last episode of season one! This is definitely a bittersweet moment for us, because we loved this season so much and don't want to say goodbye but we are ready for season two!

Here's a cookie recipe that Caroline said she would share, for healthy peanut butter oatmeal cookies with a secret ingredient (it's a banana, but she promises you can't even taste it and it's a great way to use up one banana that's been sitting around.) Enjoy these cookies while waiting for our episodes of season 2  to roll out.

Ingredients

1 ripe banana, ½ stick unsalted butter, 1∕3 cup granulated sugar, ½ cup peanut butter, 1∕3 cup light brown sugar, packed, 1 large egg, ½ teaspoon vanilla extract, ½ cup all-purpose flour, ½ cup whole wheat flour (can use all regular flour if you don't have this) , ½ teaspoon baking soda, 2∕3 cup rolled oats

1. Preheat oven to 375°F.

2. Mash the banana with a fork.

3. Cut butter in half. In a microwave-safe bowl, heat in microwave 10–15 seconds to soften DO NOT MELT BUTTER!

4. In a large bowl, use a spoon to blend butter, banana, and sugar.

5. Add peanut butter and brown sugar. Continue mixing until completely combined.

6. Add egg and vanilla. Mix until smooth.

7. Add flours and baking soda. Mix until smooth.

8. Stir in rolled oats.

9. Scoop dough with a teaspoon. Shape into 1-inch balls. Place dough balls on baking sheet. Flatten dough balls by using a fork to make a criss-cross pattern on the cookies.

10. Bake on middle rack of oven until cookies are lightly browned on bottom, about 8–10 minutes. Remove from oven. Let sit 5 minutes to firm up. Remove from tray.

28 Oct 2021VRVC S3E10: A Wedding, No Funeral, and a Baby01:11:08

First and foremost, trigger warning for sexual assault so if you need to skip that part of Brie's storyline skip from 28 minutes to 32 minutes.  Other than that serious moment we have fun here and boy oh boy does this season finale deliver.  What does it deliver? Oh just a freaking baby! What? Is? Going? On? Here? What is happening in Virgin River? We don't know and now will have to wait who knows how long for Season 4.  The worst.

22 Jun 2021VRVC S2E8: Blindspots00:57:04

Welcome to our official new episode release day of Tuesdays! Blindspots is a very vague term for what happens in this episode.  Everyone has blindspots for those they care about.  Or could it mean someone really is going blind? As always the real names of Calvin and Brady are completely butchered which makes for all the more fun listening experience!

21 Dec 2020S1E6: Let’s Mingle01:03:02
Let's mingle! The Visitor Center assisted with the town's annual Mingle which is a gathering where everyone comes together to eat, drink, and dance.  The catch? You have to switch partners when DJ Mingle says it's time.  Does this lead to anyone in town growing closer, or further apart.  Does this town mingle have enough food? 25 Jan 2021S2E1: New Beginnings 01:03:02

Hello and welcome back to the Visitor Center! Just like the excruciatingly long wait for season 2 to be released we decided to wait to upload the first episode of season 2 on our podcast (that's totally the reason okay, no other reasons just this one).  We are so excited for season 2 and all the new stories we will see.  We have noticed that the characters have even started listening to our podcast because there are some better outfits and also we got a call out from Hope herself about Mel's impractical footwear! Most notably this season we're going to be on the hunt for boats, the color olive green, nature parks, and of course more drama!

15 Sep 2021VRVC S3E6: Jack and Jill 01:12:16

It's the lumberjack games! Finally, it's time to see what all the fuss is about and boy does town go all out for events or what.  Where are they getting the money for all these events? Do they have a secret town fund? This town has like 5 people living here, surely they can't have the budget.  Somebody please help us figure this out!

03 Aug 2022S4E2: Father Knows Best...?00:58:40

Jack's dad is in town and that means that Jack is on edge the whole episode.  His father may know best but not as much as Mel knows medical drama and trauma.  Meanwhile poor shivved Brady is there, trying to recover but the whole time has to show up.  Wild times as always here as always in Virgin River.  All this and more!

31 Aug 2022VRVC S4E5: Mayday00:53:34

Mayday, mayday, mayday the truth is out and it hurts.  The truth about Hope lying, the truth about Brady's crime, and the truth about Jack's feelings about the baby.  Plus, our favorite criminal makes an appearance with a lie for the benefit of someone else.  Does that make it good? We don't know it all really depends. We also basically figured out crime watch and who's actually behind all the town crime.  And finally, this episode ended on our favorite cliffhanger of the season so far!
