Yes i was out of an environment that was not having a good effect on me but I was still working far too much regardless of how many clients I did or didn't have.

I was still saying yes to too many people who wanted my help. And I was still bending over backwards at my detriment in order to help other people.

When you're forming a business idea or trying to breathe life into one, there are two fundamental aspects that need to be defined and analysed. 

They are: 

1. What you'll deliver 
2. How you'll deliver it  

The 'what' relates to making sure that you've pinpointed the exact problems you're solving for your clients.

The 'how' is the way you'll deliver these solutions while ensuring that they're compatible with your clients.

And both of these things need to be aligned with what your clients actually want - not what you think they want.  

So, to turn an idea to income, the idea itself needs to be robust and that's what I'll focus on today. 

Stage 1 is a way to check if an idea is a keeper

Stage 2 is analysing it from a strategic perspective, so things like, making sure it's aligned with the direction you want to take your business in, and getting feedback from potential customers

Stage 3 is about phasing your launch so that you can secure customers before you've invested time and money into bringing your idea to life or before you've actually launched

So, while other marketing systems like email marketing are great tools, in my opinion, social media is the quickest way to reach and engage as many people as possible.

Burnout.  Exhaustion. It's a thing, but is it always a bad thing?

In this episode, I talk about:

★ how I avoid it or reverse out of it before it gets bad

★ why it might not always be a bad thing

★  actions you can take to do things like reduce your working week

Something that Andrea highlighted in episode 29 , is that burnout can sometimes feel good if you choose where to put your time and energy. 

But, having said all of that,  we can work more effectively and efficiently, and importantly, more on our terms.

One thing I forgot to mention in my episode is a small thing I do which has a big impact.

I use a different email address to sign up to marketing material, newsletters etc.  

That way, it doesn't clutter my main email, and I can visit them when I choose to.

And this, I've found, means I actually get use out of my sign ups.

• I take part in challenges I've signed up to.
• I think about the useful info someone has sent me.
• I know what to unsubscribe from because I don't need it, not because it's making my inbox too noisy.
