Bashar Assad has been pushed out of Syria. A more “moderate” al-Qaeda offshoot—HTS—has taken his place for the time being, while many other Syrian rebel groups have begun fighting each other for territory and control. Europe is considering removing the terrorist designation from HTS and is already taking steps to send back their Syrian refugees. The world is uncertain where this new phase in Syrian history will lead, but the Bible shows it will eventually align with Germany in a mysterious alliance prophesied in Psalm 83.
