As the world opens back-up, let's hit the road and visit some places. In Season 1 we'll hit Chicago, Nashville, Boston, Philadelphia, Washington D.C. and more....and as things open back up a look at more exotic places like Iceland, Australia and even Antactica. It's a non-expert look at some places I have been, and some I want to hit, from a regular person like you, as you plan your vacation. Let's do the Lakefront, catch a Cubs game, and fatten up on beef sandwiches. This week, it's Chicago! It may not be the definitive guide to Chicago, but it's what I like to do when I am there. It's travel for regular people.

Let's hit the County Music Hall of Fame and Museum in the morning, then load up on some food, take a nap and then pull up a stool at Legend's Corner.

It may not be the definitive guide to Nashville, but it's what I like to do when I am there. It's travel for regular people.

Spend the day at Coronado, head on over to El Indio for some food, then try to back time your trip to the San Diego Zoo so you'e there at sunset as they kick you out. This may not be the definitive guide to San Diego, but I'm a normal person like you and this is what I like to do when I visit San Diego.

Let's start out the monuments, make our way to the Air & Space Museum, then over to the White House and the Spy Museum, then after a stop at the Arlington National Cemetery, maybe hit the Chick Fil-A in Arlington VA. And cherry blossoms.

Lets' tour the Golden Circle, hit the black sand beach, the Diamond beach, and ride our snowmobiles out on the glacier. It's Iceland and it's GORGEOUS.

Let's hit the beach. A look at Dr. Beach's Top 10 Beaches in the United States, some of the best (an worst) beaches in New Jersey, and Johnny Mac tells you the three best beaches in the world....one of which is near New York City!

I didn't plan on doing this episode but a spontaneous tour of Princeton University led to an amazing day. Let's get a cheeseburger, ice cream, go kayaking and then hit Sesame Place!

Let's head down "the other 95" and fatten up on cheesesteaks and crab fries. Oh yeah, we should also hit the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, the Franklin Institute for some Harry Potter, the Reading Terminal Market, the waterfront, a Phillies game and the cool aquarium in Camden.

We leave Las Vegas and Nevada and take the 2.5 hour beautiful drive up I-15 to Zion National Park in Utah...which just may be even better than The Grand Canyon. A visit to Ann Arbor - but without college football.

The Main Street District is lots of fun....sidewalk cafes, live music in the summer on closed streets. And a look at Krazy Jim's Blimpie Burger which you may know from foodie TV shows.

Zingerman's Delicatessen is an Ann Arbor institution, the source of great food and great experiences for thousands of visitors every year.....but first let's go on a light hike at the Barton Recreation Area and check out the dam!

The Shedd Aquarium is over by the Planetarium that Johnny Mac can never get into - over kinda sorta by Milennium Park and the Bean and all that. Anyway, John and his kid spent a Saturday afternoon there where the belugas kept catching John's eye. What didn't catch his eye were things like anacondas and piranhas, so Johnny Mac won't last long if you strand hi in the while.

Oh, and we got ice cream from Rainbow Cone!
