 Tomorrow's Legends has a brand new show on its roster, and that is the all new X-Men '97!

We are excited to be bringing you our very first Marvel coverage on the Legends program, as the sequel to one of the best animated series of all time kicks off this week. 

X-Men'97 continues the story of the original series X-Men the Animated Series, which was 30yrs ago! Most of the voice cast is back, just as most of the characters are back!

In this preview episode, Havok and Shadowcat, who you know as Martin the Flash and his new cohost, frequent feedbacker Abbey the Dreamweaver, take you back to where it all ended in 1996, and then catch you up to the new trailer, breaking it down with some speculation and hopes for the new series. The mutants are back, and it's a perfect time to get amped up about more X-Men adventures!

The Waverider is hidden behind the Kent barn in Smallville.   Clark has come clean to Lana about being Superman. However the person she is mad at is Lois. We see how much their friendship has meant to both of them and how the revelation has shaken that. Lois tries to make ammends, tells her about Jordan's powers, and gives her the freedom to her family. But after time to think, the revelation of Ally the Bizarro World, and most of all seeing her daughters she decides to break away from the Kents. Menwhile Superman is seeking a way to destroy the pendant that does not close off the portal to Bizarro World. Sam & John Henry tell him he cannot do it alone. Bizarro Superboy will not help. So Kal-EL turns to his brother. Tal-Rho is ready to help, but wants to make things right with Lois first. 

The brothers start to destroy the pendant and merged Ally shows up. She has the ability to drain their powers and only Steel showing up saved them. They are able to destory the pendant. But she has other ways to merge the worlds.

Honing her matchmaker skills, Sara sends Zari and Nate on a hook-up mission while she prepares for book club with Ava. Ray struggles with his inner demons and we lose two members of Team Legends to the dark side.

Synopsis

When a magical fugitive appears in 1933, Nate is excited that the mission involves the Adventurers Society. Seeing an opportunity, Sara assigns Nate and Zari to run point on the mission while everyone else is conveniently occupied. All on their own, their is less Legends screw ups, but they also think the mission is a Macguffin, which it was, but there was a magical fugitive present nonetheless. When they call Sara on crafting an Indiana Jones mission to set them up, she tells them it’s a real mission and takes Ava to their rescue. As it turns out, they can take care of themselves, but they still have to find the golden egg.

Instead of QBing the mission, Ray has been busy doing lab in the science and avoiding making contact with people. While he works on a scientific cure to get rid of Neron, he only succeeds in making things worse. Constantine is off trying to find a cure for Nora, so Ray is stuck with an Intern of the Dark Arts: Gary Greene. Eventually, Gary deduces Ray is possessed and attempts to help him, but Neron uses Gary’s loneliness against him. Depressed, Gary is unsure what to do and just feels unappreciated. At this point, Nate returns to the ship, concerned about Ray. Ray pummels him as Nate is an unsuspecting victim who is apparently defenseless? Plot holes aside, Ray gives into Neron to save Nate’s life.

Constantine has finally tracked down a Phoenix feather to help Nora rise anew. She tells Constantine that Neron has Ray and he returns to the Waverider to save him. Unfortunately for him, Gary is sick of being the doormat and decides it is time to join Neron, someone who will appreciate him and make him whole. Neron breaks free of Constantine, whose focus is now split, and knocks him out. Gary and Neron use the time stone to leave the Waverider with Constantine.

With Nate unconscious on the Waverider, the girls are left in 1933 to finish the mission. As it turns out, it was the assistant all along, who like Gary, is sick of being treated like a second class citizen. When they return, they discover Nate has been pummeled by Ray and left behind. He explains that Ray is now possessed.

Meanwhile, Mick and Charlie decide to make an appearance at RomantiCon as Rebecca Silver. Although things do not go exactly as planned, Rebecca does reveal her identity at the con to connect with fans.

As Season 4 came to a close, we decided to revisit Season 1 of the series to see how it compares to Season 4 and what elements of the show we miss from that first season.

Flash and Harley are discussing Marooned and Night of the Hawk. As the show started, Rip Hunter is once more our captain and time was our ever present foe throughout the first season (oh, and of course, there's Vandal Savage). Let's hop back in the Waverider and return to the beginning of the series to see what we miss, what we don't, and where we want them to go with Season 5.

The Waverider is hanging out in Hob's Bay while Lois has surgery, so Superman can keep an eye out for the Mannheims. When Peia loses control, Superman is the only one who can reach her,but it's too late to help her and we have to say goodbye to one of the best characters and villains in a long time. Meanwhile, Jordan uses his new x-ray vision to watch over his mom. Meanwhile, back in Smallville, Sarah is struggling with the consequences of her DUI, and Kyle is coming to grips with a new secret he must now carry.

Welcome to Smallville! Where nothing is quite as it seems.

Preparations for Harvest Fest are in full swing and everyone is getting in the spirit. Everyone except Johnathan who gets dumped by his girlfriend before the festivities get started. On the upside, Sarah asks Jordan to go with her to the festival.

When Sharon and Derek Powell turn up unexpectedly, Chrissy and Lois are definitely suspicious. And for good reason. As it turns out, Derek has been resurrected but it’s not taking. He can no longer control himself and burns down the building where the Harvest Fest donations are taken in.

Meanwhile, Kyle comes home drunk after a fellow firefighter is injured in the line of duty. Lana storms off to the festival while Sarah stays home to make her father something to eat. After taking care of her father, she heads to the festival to meet Jordan. While they are having a good time, John is off getting drunk with his friends and embarrasses Jordan. Sarah storms off and Jordan leads John off to get some water.

In the end, Clark and Lois catch John drunk and send both the boys home. When they come home, Clark confesses he felt the same way as John when he was younger. He couldn’t wait to leave Smallville. Only when he did, he never returned until his mom was out of time.

Meanwhile, Luthor tracks down Lois Lane and we get the jaw-dropping reveal that he was married to Lois on his planet.

As Season 4 came to a close, we decided to revisit Season 1 of the series to see how it compares to Season 4 and what elements of the show we miss from that first season.

Welcome back Legendaires! Flash and Harley here for our review of season 2 and predictions for season 3. There has been TONS of news and lots of chatter at cons over the summer.

Premiere date is October 10th, 2017. Legends will keep the 9 PM time slot following The Flash on Tuesday nights. Arrow has moved to Thursday nights, also at 9 PM.

 

Season 3 Synopsis

After the defeat of Eobard Thawne and his equally nefarious Legion of Doom, the Legends face a new threat created by their actions at the end of last season. In revisiting a moment in time that they had already participated in, they have essentially fractured the timeline and created anachronisms – a scattering of people, animals, and objects all across time! Our team must find a way to return all the anachronisms to their original timelines before the time stream falls apart. But before our Legends can jump back into action, Rip Hunter and his newly established Time Bureau call their methods into question. With the Time Bureau effectively the new sheriffs in town, the Legends disband – until Mick Rory discovers one of them in the middle of his well-deserved vacation in Aruba. Seeing this as an opportunity to continue their time traveling heroics, Sara wastes no time in getting the Legends back together.

The Waverider made it back to Blue Valley just in time. Pat and Barbara reconnect and discuss how to help Mike in light of what Pat learned in the Shadowlands. Even Crusher is there to encourage Pat. 

Courtney and Yolanda talk and they each appoligize to the other. Courtney wants her support in talking with the rest of the JSA. She wants to tell Cameron everything about his dad, the JSA and her secret. The rest of the JSA reluctlantly agrees. But Rick is having major issues thanks to him being Hourman 24/7. His rage is growing and they cannot stop him.

The Grandcicles are at odds with eachother. Grandmother Mahkent is angry at Courtney and the JSA for killing her son. She lashes out at her husband, kills the art teacher Mr. Deisinger, and lashes out at Courtney. We have Wildcat verses Grandmother, Dr. Mid-Nite & Sportsmaster II verses Grandad, and Hourman verses Icicle Jr. It was an intense battle and only Grandad Mahkent's advice to Cameron and his heart attack stopped the fight.

Meanwhile, Jakeem and Mike, with the help of Thunderbolt, are trying to track town Cindy. They find a farm, but not Cindy. They do find our killer in the shadows, the Ultra-Humanite!

The Waverider has crossed us over to a new reality. One where the Tomorrow People, with telepathy, telekinesis, and teleportation abilities, are on the run from the secret government task force, the ULTRA organization.

We come to the end of the line. It's the final episode. The finale of the show. The day that tomorrow will never come...

In this last episode of Tomorrow People, We catch up with Jed making a one man assault on Ultra, where he finds Roger who asks Jed to kill him to stop the machine. But it is too late. The machine has absorbed all of his powers. Stephen is desperate to stop The Founder and save the humans. But Cara pulls him back from breaking the prime barrier to become a killer.

Cara, Stephen, Russell, John and Astrid use Roger's plan to distract the killer Breakouts. Stephen then teleports inside and battles The Founder in an epic triple T power showdown. He prevails and sends The Founder and the machine into another dimension. Meanwhile, outside, Natalie gets the drop on Cara and shoots her from behind. Stephen once again is just a bit too late to save her, and in an animalistic scream, discovers he can reverse time, and grabs the gun from Natalie before she fires!

Breakouts from all over the world come to the Lair seeking Stephen. They take over ULTRA as their new lair. Jed has discovered that he can use Roger's DNA to restore John's powers. But it wipes his memories. Jed sells the paranormal super soldier idea to the government using John as his example.

We loved covering this series and think The CW missed the mark by cancelling it. It had great writing, acting and pacing. We can't help but wonder if it came out a year or so later how many seasons we could have gotten. It has been a fun ride, and we are glad you were along with us for it!

It's the week of returns in X-Men '97 as we get Storm back to her former goddess glory, and we get surprised by a living Professor X!

Once again the episode is split into two parts, focusing on Storm and Forge working through her demons to get her powers back, and Charles Xavier just about marrying Lilandra and joining her empire, only to get a warning that something has happened back on Earth and his X-Men need him, so he decides to give up his new life to possibly return to them.

The Waverider is flying between Smallville and Bolivia. Bizarro leaves the artic and is drawn to Superman in Smallville. Steel has to break up the fight with his hammer. Bizarro goes to Bolivia. Lt. Anderson's Supermen of America are no match for him and 2 are killed. Superman and Steel battle him. John Henry is badly wounded before Superman can drive Bizarro off. Lois & Chrissy confront Ally & Lucy. Ally draws Chrissy in while Lucy livestreams the confrontation with Lois. It looks like Chrissy is being swept up into the cult and Lois is being attacked on all fronts. The Waverider is flying back and forth between Smallville and Metroplis. We are learning the complicated history of Mannheim. While we got a lot of answers, we still don't know when Peia got her powers. Matteo wins over John Henry, but there is going to be major fallout when the parents meet. The Kents now know about Bruno and Peia, so how will this change their plans. Speaking of plans, Clark & Lois have been keeping things from the boys and it is not going well.

What a mid season finale! Or it would be if it actually was...we get all the answers we've been wondering about! How the clones are made, how Bishop transfers his mind, which Sara do we really have and so much more!

We see Mick come to the rescue and have to make his own sacrifice to save Sara. And finally, we get Ava back together with her for the most heartfelt moment in a long time!

The Waverider has landed in Blue Valley.  Eclipso is going after every member of the JSA. Now that Yolanda has turned in her Wildcat costume, he is on to Beth and Rick. Beth is made to feel like a fraud and a pretender to the Doctor Mid-Nite title. She is blamed for her parents' divorce. But she sees through his illusions and fights back claiming the Goggles and the title. However, Rick fails. He is feeling under appreciated. He wants to redeem Grundy with kindness, but Eclipso's illusions convince him Grundy is a killer. He fights Grundy, but it was really his uncle. His uncle is in critical condition and Rick is in jail.

Welcome to Smallville! We heard the Kents were packing up and leaving the big city to see what Morgan Edge has in store for Clark’s hometown.

Clark and Lois decide their family needs a change after Clark’s mother suddenly passes away and he loses his job. At the funeral, the family reconnects with the Cushings and learn that Morgan Edge is interested in Smallville.

While the boys explore the barn to reset a router, Jordan falls and brings several metal poles on top of him and his brother. We later learn Jordan shielded his brother and they both survive because his powers are starting to emerge.

Meanwhile, Captain Luthor is attacking nuclear power plants and General Lane discovers an inscription in Kryptonian. When he asks Clark to suit-up, Lois tells him his family needs him more.

The next day, the boys snoop through the barn looking for clues about their father. They discover an alien ship and confront him. When he admits he’s Superman, they are angry at being lied to their entire lives. 

While Clark beats himself up, Luthor attacks another nuclear plant. This time he leaves to confront him. While he’s fighting Luthor, John and Jordan get into a fight of their own that ends with Jordan starting a fire with his laser vision. 

After a family chat, Clark and Lois decide to stay in Smallville, save the farm, and discover what Morgan Edge is really up to.

 

Is our Captain Luthor Alexander Luthor, Jr.?

In the conclusion to the Russian cold war saga, the fragmented team does their best to survive in a gulag while the others work out a plan to rescue them. 

Rip worries Dr. Stein will not be able to withhold secrets until the team is able to rescue him, so he gives Sara a side mission to kill Dr. Stein if the plan fails.

Meanwhile, Captain Cold infiltrates the prison to rescue Heatwave and (maybe) Ray. When things go sideways, Jax and Kendra come to the rescue while Rip tracks down Savage.

In the end, the team saves Dr. Stein with explosive consequences. Chronos shows up once again and knocks our team into the year 2046.

 

Neron lures the Legends to the Donner Pass during the Ice Age and traps them in an avalanche that they caused. He travels through time with Constantine to visit Johnny’s ancestor and teach an old dog some new tricks. Meanwhile, Gary slowly hypnotizes all the agents at the Time Bureau with his nipple.

Synopsis

Neron manipulates Constantine into using his magic so he can trap the Legends on an avalanche, conveniently sidelining most of the cast. He then travels to ancient Britain to visit King Konstentyn, an ancient ancestor of John Constantine, so that John can learn how to stabilize a vortex to hell. Ultimately, Neron is still working to bring Tabitha from hell to the mortal world.

Stuck in an avalanche, the remainder of our Team Legends needs to remember what it means to be a family. With Ray missing, they search his quarters for inspiration after Mick and Sarah argue over whether or not Mick should have made the call to shoot Ray. They discover Cards to Save the Timeline and Ray Palmer’s survival guide. Determined to enjoy their last moments together and find some inspiration to save themselves, they turn the Waverider to full power and decide to play Ray’s game. Fortunately for the Legends, it works, and the ice around the ship melts from the continual heat they are generating, allowing them to fly through the rest of the ice.

Meanwhile at the Time Bureau, Gary is conducting performance reviews and exuding an uncharacteristic amount of confidence. Slowly but surely, each of the Time Bureau agents turn into hypnotized automatons, stating Gary Green is all the man we need. Suspicious, Mona and Nora begin to investigate, until eventually, only Mona and Wolfie are left. As Mona is called in for her performance review, she conspires with Wolfie to take Gary down and bring everyone back to their senses.  

In the end, Neron succeeds in forcing Johnny to strengthen his magic to save not only himself, but an innocent pooka, about to be damned to hell. He stabilizes the vortex, disarms his ancestor, and then willingly jumps into the hell vortex to rescue Ray from hell. Unfortunately, Neron is able to bring Tabitha from hell, and with a bippity boppity boo, they rescue Gary and escape with Mona. Ava returns to the Waverider to chat with the Legends while Nora pursues Neron, Tabitha, and Gary so she can rescue Mona.

We join the Legends as they travel back to the Wild West to aid Jonah Hex in stopping his nemesis, Quentin Turnbull. Another rogue time pirate has inadvertently given Turnbull the ability to find rare dwarf star. Turnbull proceeds to mine the dwarf star and take over the entire town of Liberty, Colorado. 

Our Legends are notified of a time quake/aberration and head off to 1874. On their way to the coordinates, they witness Turnbull's men trying to hang Jonah Hex and save him. Back on the Waverider, Nate discovers Turnbull has managed to change the course of history by isolating the Wild West from the East and calling it Turnbull Country.

The team splits up in order to find out what Turnbull is up to and flush him out into the open. Nate, Ray and Jax pose as accountants to learn more information about the mine. Once they learn it's location, they head out to see what Turnbull is mining and discover it is dwarf star.

Meanwhile, Sara sends Mick and Vixen into the saloon to start a fight and flush Turnbull out. When Mick and Turnbull have unexpected chemistry, the plan backfires and Hex storms in, ready to fight Turnbull. Unfortunately, the entire bar turns their guns on Hex and a fight ensues. Nate, Ray and Jax rejoin the team in time to flee back to the Waverider, Mick steps up to fight Turnbull and Nate has to save him. Nate is shot with a dwarf star bullet and we learn his weakness.

While Gideon saves Nate, Ray discovers how Turnbull intends to use the dwarf star. He plans to load it onto a train and blow-up Summit Pass, cutting off the only supply route between the East and the West. Again, the team separates to stop both the train and Turnbull. Nate, Ray and Jax figure out how to stop the train while Sara and Hex get Turnbull alone. Meanwhile, Mick and Vixen head into the mine with explosive results. 

In the end, Nate stops the train single-handed and earns himself a new suit to go with his super powers and bravery. Turnbull is subdued and his supply of dwarf star is appropriated by the Legends.

The Waverider is going back and forth between the Viking age, 1969, and 2017. The Master of The Dark Arts John Constantine has joined us maybe his darkness can balance out the sickening sweetness of Beebo.

 “Beebo the God of War” – Gideon alerts the team to a level 12 anacronym. Young Martin Stein has been sent back in time to the Viking age with a talking Beebo doll. Leif Eriksson and his sister Freydis are worshiping Beebo as a god. The Vikings conquer the new world and Christmas becomes Beebo day. The team with Ava’s help eliminate Beebo, but Damien and Nora arrive to ruin things. They manage to work as a team, injures Nora and drive of Damien off. Jax and Young Martin have a heart to heart and Jax gets his closure before leaving the team.

 

“Daddy Darhkest” – John seeks out Sara’s help with a possession. Emily is possessed and knows Sara’s name. It turns out Emily is Nora Darhk. John’s magic cannot cast out Mallus. Half the team is send back to 1969. John and Sara work together using Mallus’ possession power to send them back to 2017. Ray & Zari break Nora out of the hospital, but her possession is a danger to everyone. Damien comes to claim her putting her in the hands of the people that will help her bring him back from the dead. Nate and Amaya confront Kuasa and make it out alive barely.

The Waverider is parked in Smallville. Kyle's affair and coverup with the bartender has come to a head when Jordan & Sarah see the confrontation. But Lana manages to save Sarah's quinceañera. Sam begins to train Jordan and enlists Jonathan to help. But this pushes Jon to take XK and his powers are outted to Jordan. Lois is chasing Ally's story and finds her ties to the mines. Bizarro is standing over a murdered Dr. Faulkner and has his sights set on Ally. Superman & Lois save Ally. With the help of Lara, Superman discovers that Bizarro is there to stop Ally from destroying both their worlds. Chrissy is drugged by Ally and discovers that Bizarro's world is bleak and ruled by Ally.

The Waverider has crossed us over to a new reality. One where the Tomorrow People, with telepathy, telekinesis, and teleportation abilities, are on the run from the government run ULTRA organization.

Stephen is on a quest to bring his father back from limbo at any cost. His friends and family tell him it is not possible, but he is not giving up. He is willing to risk his life to get to his dad and that is just what it takes. But before that, he brings both his worlds together at a family dinner so they can support each other if things go wrong.

Meanwhile we see the softer side of Jed. He deeply cares for Morgan. But he knows the Founder will not let him keep her. So, he fakes her death and enlists the Tomorrow People to help her. He can never be with her again, but at least he knows she is safe.

Synopsis

Ava and Sara bring Mike the Spike to his own personal containment cell as if the timey-wimey craziness of the previous episode never occurred. Ava and Sara learn that the kaupe is now missing and that Mona is “responsible” for his release. Sara and her team set out to track down the kaupe only to find that Mona has sent him to Mexico City 1961 in an attempt to save him from the men in black. Although she has suffered an injury herself, she insists the kaupe is “sweet” and there is a greater conspiracy afoot. THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE.

After hearing Mona’s story, Zari talks Sara into letting her poke around the Time Bureau for evidence that the men in black exist and Mona was framed. The Away Team heads out for Mexico City 1961 to capture Konane while Zari heads to the Time Bureau. Ray and Charlie are “benched” for the first mission. The Legends discover the kaupe is a luchador named “El Lobo” and he has dethroned a famous lucha libre wrestler with whom Constantine is familiar. When Mick accidentally tells Mona the Legends intend to capture Konane, she gets his attention and when a riot ensues, he rescues Mona and takes her to his “home.” The Legends follow and capture both Mona and Konane.

Onboard the Waverider, Ava calls Sara before she can properly explain what is happening with the conspiracy theory. She notices the Legends are harboring “fugitives” and Sara hangs-up on her, afraid their conversation might be tapped by the Bureau. Zari confirms Hank is responsible for releasing Konane and framing Mona. Both her and Sara dress-up and head to the benefit the Haywoods host every year. Zari is Nate’s “date” so she can confirm the footage on Hank’s phone, and Sara is looking for Ava to explain what is happening in person.

Sara returns to the Waverider to discover Constantine and Charlie have talked Interim Captain Palmer into returning Konane to Mexico City 1961 to preserve the timeline. Sara has just learned that Ava is on her way to Mexico City and orders the Legends in Mexico City to “give ‘em hell.” A Legends worthy bar fight ensues and Mick escorts Mona and Konane back to his “home” so they may say goodbye. Unfortunately, they are tracked down by one of the Time Bureau agents who shoots Konane in the back just as Mona is about to send him home. Enraged, Mona turns into a kaupe herself and tears the man limb from limb.

When Mick returns to find her with Konane’s body, she tells him, “there are no happy endings.”

The Waverider has landed in Central City. Our band of Hero Hosts are here to report on all we saw. The episode picks up right after the events of last year's season finale.  Barry & Iris have enjoyed some well needed time off and are about to head back to their jobs. But things are not well in the marriage. They are not talking and sharing their feelings. Barry has made a book of all of the informaiton he has learned about the future. He sees it as a roadmap to keep them on track and safe. But Iris sees it as shackels. She has no free will and no way to deviate. 

The all new Captain Boomerang is stealing an energy device from a mobile particle accelerator. Thanks to his tech he is more than a match for Barry. He escapes and Barry blows it off. But something happened. Both Barry & Iris awake to find out the day is repeating. Barry is killed in the next encounter with Boomerang. Barry & Iris reset and this pattern loops over an over with no way out. After a good Poppa Joe talk, Barry sees that the book is ruining the marriage. He and Iris determine to work through the events of the day together. They do it on their own terms. With Iris working with Sue to buy another paper. Barry accepts the Chief of the CSI's job. Barry enlists Iris to stop Boomerang. They burn the book and the loop breaks. They decide to focus on their marriage and have the honeymoon they deserve. 

We find out Boomerang is working with Red Death, a speedster setting out to end The Flash. We also see that Caitlin & Mark's work did not recreate Frost. It created a new person who is not Caitlin or Frost.

The Waverider is in Smallville because the systems are glitching.   It seems like all technology is glitching as Ally is merging our world and the Inverse world. Superman's cells are completely drained and need time to heal before they can absorb sunlight the way he needs. Jordan and Steel Squared (John Henry & Natalie) have to protect him from the attacks of Inverse Lana & Jon-EL. But because of those battles Sarah learns Jordan has powers, Nat gets to step up and save Superman, and Sam gets to put the Inverse enemies in prison.

Chrissy & Lois share all the info on the worlds merger and Superman with Lana. They give her the right to decide what is best for the town, the truth and risking a panic, or to believe the cover story. Lana consults Kyle and he tells her to trust herself. They also make steps toward reconcilliation. Lois tells the people of the town the truth, but it is only when Supman steps up and confirms it, that people believe it. Just in time because the worlds are merging and people are crossing over.

Yo ho ho, a pirate's life for me! Grab yer rum and hoist the Jolly Roger high, we’re on a quest for cursed treasure! Captain Jack Sparrow is off looking for more rum, so we’re tossing in with the Dread Pirate Jiwe to find buried treasure.

 

Synopsis

 

Ray, Amaya and Mick are debating where to find the five known totems and what the sixth totem might be. Ray tells them that the Fire totem is currently in Detroit 2018 and asks Sara if she’s ready to track it down. She declines, stating she has business in Star City (which is really a date with Ava), and tells the team to head to Detroit. Unfortunately, someone has already beaten them to it: Damien Darhk has the Fire totem.

 

Fortunately, Nate announces he knows where the Earth totem is. It seems Blackbeard has possession of it in the Bahamas 1717. Sara is still on her date, so the team decides to go to 1717 and retrieve the Earth totem before Sara and Ava have dessert. Unfortunately, absolutely nothing goes according to plan.

 

Mick spins a story about the Dread Pirate Jiwe, catching Blackbeard’s attention. Just as they are about to join forces, the British arrive on the scene with Admiral Damien Darhk. Taking the Legends by surprise, he steals Amaya’s Spirit totem, and now he has three. Blackbeard turns out to be a big coward and quickly gives up the location of the Earth totem. Damien Darhk heads off to take out the Waverider while Amaya, Mick and Blackbeard are marched out for execution.

 

In a stroke of bad luck, they have time jumped into the Bermuda Triangle and the Waverider’s systems are going haywire. Ray, Nate and Zari are forced to time jump back to 2018 after Damien Darhk begins attacking the Waverider. Meanwhile, Amaya is feeling powerless without her totem, but Mick Rory gives her a pep talk and she saves them all from execution. The whole situation seems to have spooked Blackbeard, so Amaya and Mick decide to recruit Blackbeard’s crew and take his ship to track down the Earth totem.

 

Back in 2018, the Waverider falls out of the sky, ending Sara’s date with Ava for good. Just as Ava sneaks away to talk to Gary, Sara leaves cash and ditches Ava to return to the Waverider. She learns that they are stranded in 2018 until Zari can fix the ship.

 

Prior to Gary catching up with Ava, Rip and Wally commiserate in a rather amusing series of events. Wally, feeling heartbroken and rejected by his former team, is meditating in China. Rip, after several drinks, convinces him to track down Gary, steal his time courier and phone, and finally, reunite Rip with his beloved duster coat. They decide to head to Tokyo 1992 for some Careless Whisper karaoke and bond some more.

 

Ava, after Gary brings her up to speed on Rip’s shenanigans, boards the Waverider to chew out Sara and find out what is happening with the Legends. Her and Sara argue, and Nate lifts her time courier while she is distracted. They head to 1717 with the nanite gun in hand to rescue Mick and Amaya, who have arrived at the site where Blackbeard buried the totem, and his dead girlfriend. He tells the story of the totem’s curse and how it completely overtook Annie, forcing Blackbeard to kill her and bury her with the totem.

 

While Amaya attempts to talk zombie Annie off the ledge, Damien Darhk snaps her neck and takes the totem for himself. A great sword fight ensues, ending with Nora/Mallus’s attempt to kill Amaya. Ray arrives in the nick of time and shoots Nora, ensuring her death for Amaya’s life. The time portal is still open and Blackbeard surprises Ava and Sara on the Waverider. They put him in his place with a cane and a flute, earning his respect in the end.

 

Everyone returns to their proper time and place, but Ray is wracked with guilt at what he has done to Nora. After a chat with Mick, he steals away on the jump ship with a cure for Nora. Darhk tosses him the Spirit totem for the cure, but Ray tries to reach out to Nora instead of taking it and running. She starts to drain his life force, but Daddy Darhkest talks her out of it. Ray is now their prisoner.

In this second part of the pilot, the team confronts Vandal Savage at a secret weapons auction. Dr. Stein accidentally reveals the team "in this era" and they now have to deal with the repercussions.

Dr. Stein, Jackson, and Sara go to visit Dr. Stein as his younger self in college to try to borrow a device he designed that controls alpha particles. This of course does not go according to plan, and they now have to trick his younger self and not mess up the timeline any further...

The Waverider is surfing between Seattle, the U.S.S.R. and Norway. We follow the Real Android Legends as they seek to undo what our Legends have "messed up" in the timeline. But time is like concrete. Evil Gideon and Dr. Sharpe have plans if the team gets out of line.

After Johnny breaks it off with Desmond, a time wave ripples through history with sweeping changes. Charlie gets her powers back, but her and John never join the Legends and the effects on its members are surprising, to say the least. Charlie and John attempt to surgically change the timeline and hilarity ensues.

Synopsis

After the time wave, Charlie’s powers are restored and she sets out for Las Vegas 1962 after sending Zari Cat and the jump ship back to the Waverider. She impersonates Marilyn Monroe and discovers a leprechaun trying his luck out on Vegas. After he uses his magic, the Custodians of the Chronology appear in Vegas and gun him down. Immediately suspicious, Charlie follows Nate, Ray and Mick back to the Waverider.

While they were out, Gideon informs the trio they have missed calls from Barry, Oliver and Kara.

“Must be the annual crossover,” Ray says.

“Hard pass,” says Nate.

They inform “Amaya” that the Legends have adopted a shoot on sight policy after Sara was killed at Woodstock by the unicorn. Unfortunately, it’s after Charlie has taken Sara’s form to convince them to stand down and stop killing magical creatures. Garima stabs Charlie and to everyone’s surprise she heals, and escapes to the jump ship with Zari.

They head to the Time Bureau hoping to find a lead on Constantine. Charlie impersonates Gary and finds out Constantine is imprisoned at the Time Bureau. She breaks into his cell and we soon find out the he is living with two realities in his head: the original one, where he condemns Des to hell, and the second one, where he saves Des by breaking up with him.

After Charlie explains what’s happening, Constantine returns Zari to human form long enough for her to tell them what we all know: John needs to return to New Orleans and set things right. But he and Charlie are not ready to listen and return her to cat form. We learn Mona listened to the whole conversation and is happy to help them escape so they can stop the Custodians. A gun fight ensues and our team members who remember the original reality make it back to the jump ship. Charlie and Constantine head-off to Woodstock to save Sara and restore the timeline.

But this is Legends… so our dynamic duo saves Sara only to doom Nate, Ray and Mick to death by fairy godmother, the same fairy godmother who turned Zari into a cat. So, Zari remains a cat, the boys perish, and the Sirens of Space-Time are born. Unfortunately for Charlie, she finds out they just might be worse than the Custodians, and still have a shoot to kill policy.

Charlie escapes once again and they travel to Salem to repeat the process. Only this time, Zari turns into a puppet instead of a cat. What the Fraggle Rock? This time Constantine boards the Waverider to investigate this strange turn of events. Apparently, the fairy godmother bonded with Rory in Constantine’s absence and he turned them all to puppets before going on a crime spree with the fairy.

Charlie tries several more times to fix the timeline with each resulting in the death of one of the Legends or our Time Bureau family. Finally, a trip to the time bureau doesn’t result in someone’s death, but Constantine can no longer bear living with multiple realities in his head and he collapses. Zari finally convinces him to ditch Charlie and return to New Orleans to set things right. Unfortunately, Charlie isn’t ready to give up her powers and has other plans.

Charlie, now impersonating Ava, informs the Legends of a “magical creature” in New Orleans 2018. Assuming it is the elusive shapeshifter, Sara plots a course and tells Mick and Ray to shoot the creature on sight. Horrified, Charlie tries to talk her down and finally has to reveal she is the shapeshifter to prevent them from killing Constantine. Meanwhile, John successfully convinces Des that he does love him and erases his memory so he has no knowledge of the break-up. Des and John from several months kiss, setting the timeline back to normal.

We see the time wave ripple out from the epicenter, saving the oldest version of John from being murdered by Ray and Mick who are transported back to the Waverider where they were previously battling Mike the Spike. Charlie is transported back to the Waverider with Zari (still human) where Constantine joins them to say mission accomplished. When they return to the Waverider, they find Puppet Stein and are concerned. We know things are back to normal when Ray gags Puppet Stein and promises he will live out his days in a magical containment unit.

The final scene before we break for FIVE MONTHS is Hank and Desmond/Neron playing golf. Hank has just learned the kaupe escaped and reassures his boss (we assume) that all will be well.

And now, we wait.

Lois is struggling with feelings underneath the surface. Jonathan has a new girlfriend. Jordan and Sarah seem out of sync. Lana is busy with her new campaign and Kyle feels left out. How will their stories unfold this season?

Constantine has checked himself into Ravenscar Asylum following the loss of a 9-year-old girl, Astra to the demon Nergal. The loss of her soul, along with his own, has been tormenting him. Naturally, he'll have to snap out of it. That moment comes six months later when a possessing spirit sends him a disturbing message. John is on a mission to save the daughter of a friend who is being targeted by a demonic antagonist.

As Season 4 came to a close, we decided to revisit Season 1 of the series to see how it compares to Season 4 and what elements of the show we miss from that first season.

Flash and Harley are discussing Blood Ties and White Knights. As the show started, Rip Hunter is once more our captain and time was our ever present foe throughout the first season (oh, and of course, there's Vandal Savage). Let's hop back in the Waverider and return to the beginning of the series to see what we miss, what we don't, and where we want them to go with Season 5.

Filmmaker Ishiro Honda brings a giant octopus to life using a magical diary that turns artists’ inspiration into reality. While the Legends figure out how to keep Tokyo from being destroyed in 1951, Team Time Bureau hires a new employee when their magical wards ransack the Bureau.

Synopsis

Ishiro Honda “discovers” a giant octopus in the Tokyo bay while filming, which sends up a magic alert to the Waverider. The octopus will eventually destroy the city if the Legends cannot find a way to capture the apparent fugitive. With Constantine on death’s door, Sara decides it will be best to divide and conquer. She will take Mick, Zari and Charlie to 1951 while Ray tracks down Nora in 2018.

Our team in Tokyo tracks down the octopus footage to understand what they are up against, but Charlie denies this is a magical fugitive. Skeptical, they return to Honda’s set to lure out the monster, shrink it down, and contain it. But before they can find the monster, they find Honda, tossing a book in the water. Except this is no ordinary book, it’s the magical fugitive they have been looking for. When the book flies out of the water and back into Honda’s hands, the team confronts him and demands some answers.

Charlie explains that the book was a gift to humanity from the Celtic goddess Brigid and it has the power to turn dreams into reality. The book was supposed to be a gift for humanity, bringing humankind's greatest dreams to fruition, but Honda has witnessed true horrors in his life. He channels those horrors of WWII Japan into a creation he calls Tagumo, a giant octopus who is destined to destroy Tokyo. Honda tries to change his ending, but the team quickly learns that isn’t possible. The book will have to bond with someone else if they are to change the fate of Tokyo.

While Zari tries to convince Mick he is a talented writer and he can save Tokyo by bonding with the book, Tagumo attacks!!! Sara and Charlie rush off to shrink the octopus, and they succeed, even if Charlie did run off at first. Luckily, she changes her mind and distracts Tagumo long enough for Sara to shrink him. Unfortunately, he was in the sewer system and now that he is small, they can’t seem to find him. It’s up to Mick to save the day.

Garima, a three-breasted warrior, comes to life and battles Tagumo just as he is about to kill his maker. Instead of destroying Tokyo, they destroy Honda’s model city and Garima is ultimately victorious. But the story isn’t over yet! After saving the city from ruin and defeating the monster, she still has unfinished business with her man Mick, I mean Buck. As the team watches with morbid curiosity, Mick and Garima seal the deal. In his last conversation with Honda, Mick tells him to focus on lizards as the King of Kaiju.

Meanwhile in 2018, Ray finds Nora and explains John’s situation. Although hesitant to use her magic at first, she decides to give it a try. Fortunately for John, she is able to save his life without taking another. Nora Darhk is well on her path to redemption, so much so she has decided it is time to stop running and she needs to repent for her past sins. With that, she travels to the Time Bureau and promptly turns herself in as Ray looks on.

At the D.C. Time Bureau, Gary is left in charge of the magical menagerie when Hank Heywood invites Ava to Thanksgiving dinner with the (dysfunctional) Heywood family. Of course things go horribly wrong when Gary has Thanksgiving dinner delivered to the TIme Bureau by none other than Mona. Hangry magical creatures awaken and start to ransack the Time Bureau, forcing Gary to call Ava and Nate for help.

Already looking for an excuse to leave, Nate time couriers to the bureau to help Gary handle the crisis. He discovers Mona, who has discovered the magical creatures, and comes to an odd realization: the monsters are hungry. Mona, who apparently reads a lot, knows not only what the monsters eat but where to find it on Thanksgiving. She rushes off while Gary and Nate attempt to minimize the damage.

The Heywood’s eventually realize something is up when it is time to carve the turkey and Nate is still missing. Ava fesses up and takes Hank to the Time Bureau. They arrive just in time to find… Gary, Nate and Mona have everything handled. Hank is suitably impressed, he bonds with his son, and they return home just a moment after they had left. Just as Nate starts to carve the turkey, Hank receives a phone call. He steps away and we learn that Project Hades is now a go. Duhn Duhn Duuuuuuuuuhn!

Sara wields the Death Totem and becomes the Death Witch after Mallus possesses her. She singles out the Legends and takes them down one-by-one only to be stopped by an unlikely hero: Heat Wave.

 

Synopsis

 

Sara wakes from a nightmare in which she is haunted by a little girl. Ava calms her down and they have the GF talk, where Sara awkwardly explains away her latest fling, John Constantine. Gideon interrupts at the worst time and announces the anachronisms are getting worse. Back to work. Sara sends the Legends out in pairs to tackle to the anachronisms and suddenly gets a terrible headache.

 

With all of the Legends occupied, Sara makes some coffee and tries to shake her headache, when she decides to follow the source of the sound. As it turns out, the Death totem is calling to her, and she finally gets some relief after she opens the encrypted box holding the totem. Through the Death totem, Mallus projects Sara as the Canary and she talks herself into wielding the Death totem. Unfortunately, that’s all Mallus wanted, and he takes over her body, imprisoning the Sara Lance we know in the spirit realm.

 

Death Witch Sara starts by taking out Ray, since Mick is sound asleep in the library. Amaya and Zari return to find Ray, badly injured, and wake-up Rory to help them deal with Ray’s attacker. They soon learn it is Sara, but not the Captain they have come to know and love. When Amaya and Mick try to take her on, she nearly kills them, and Wally speeds in and saves them. Their plan, after Sara locks down the ship and maroons them in the time stream, is for Wally to use his speed and tie Sara up. Unfortunately, Wally encounters the Death totem’s version of Jessie. He confronts her, hopefully finding some much needed closure, but he is distracted and does not notice the anti-speedster gun. Jessie fades, revealing Sara holding the gun, and she shoots Wally.

 

Meanwhile, Ava and Gary are doing their best to find John Constantine, the only person who might be able to save Sara from Mallus. Ava reveals to Constantine that Sara is wielding the Death totem and Constantine explains why Mallus has a particularly strong bond with that totem. Apparently, the Sixth Tribe of Zambesi was lost to time because they sided with Mallus in the war that ultimately imprisoned him. When Constantine and Ava try to enter Mallus’s realm, he denies them entry, forcing them to find another way to rescue Sara.

 

Back on the Waverider, it’s Zari’s turn to come-up with a plan and she heads to the mainframe, hoping to free the jump ship from whatever lock-down Sara has initiated. But Mallus is two steps ahead, and Zari is confronted by her dead brother, as a child begging for her to tell his favorite nighttime story. Knowing he isn’t there, she says goodbye to him and turns to smash the mainframe. She succeeds, but a blast knocks her down and suddenly Sara is there and nearly kills her too. For a moment, Zari gets through and Sara breaks Mallus’s hold, if only for a few seconds. Nora appears and compliments her resolve, but tells her “no one can fight Mallus forever.”

 

Luckily, Gary has a plan! Don’t laugh, but he has played this campaign before. There’s a monk (Wally), a druid (Amaya), a rogue (Mick), a bard (Nate), “a cheerful gnome who was also an accomplished wizard” (Ray), and a missing sorceress (Zari), who are all fighting Xanathar the Unburnt and his death sword (Sara/Mallus and the Death Totem). How do you win? (You don’t, but...) you can fight the totem with another totem.

 

Back on the Waverider, it’s Nate’s turn to get his butt kicked. He attempts to wield the Earth totem, but before he can put it on, his grandfather distracts him. He knows his grandfather is dead, he watched him die after all, but he is still pulled into Mallus’s trap and Sara gets the upper hand. Constantine turns up on the Waverider just in time to save Nate from being beaten to death. He has some tricks up his sleeve, but Mallus still gets the upper hand, even after trying to distract him with Astra. Before he can finish him off, Amaya convinces Mick to wield the Fire totem and Mallus drops Constantine to handle this “new” threat. Just as Sara appears, Mick tosses a fireball at her and knocks her out.

 

In the spirit realm, Sara is having a discussion with Nora about the darkness within. She relives her worst memory: murdering a little girl’s father right in front of her. On the Waverider, Ava is trying to reach out to Sara, begging her to return from the spirit realm. Assuming the Fire totem has scared off Mallus, Ava calls Sara back to her body after ripping off the Death totem. Unfortunately, this experience has reminded Sara of all her faults that she has worked so hard to put behind her. Afraid of hurting Ava, she breaks things off, but immediately regrets it.

 

In the final scene, John Constantine plays D&D with Gary’s crew and states “the battle is only just beginning.” Something tells me he wasn’t just talking about the game…

The Waverider took a detour to Metropolis to check in on the Kent family. They are certainly put to the test this week! After Jordan narrowly escapes a confrontation with Tag, his powers go into overdrive and he's unable to control himself. He almost loses control after a football game and Johnathan steps in to prevent Jordan from killing his former bully. Instead, Johnathan ends up with a broken hand and a halted football career.

Meanwhile, Lois tries to keep up with Luthor as they team up to find out why Edge is interested in the Smallville mines. Clark and Sam Lane end up at odds with one another when they disagree on how to handle Tag's escape.

The Waverider has crossed us over into another universe where another world has its own superheroes and super villains. We are covering the Netflix series Jupiter's Legacy based on the Image Comics of the same name.

The first episode "By Dawn's Early Light" lays the groundwork for this universe. We have a group of heroes The Union of Justice or the Union for short, who seek to serve the world with morals and integrity. Their leader, The Utopian lays out their code.  "Service, compassion, mercy, those are the words we live by. That is our Code, and it's the most important thing in the world." But that Code is hard to live by in a changing world.

The Utopian, know also as Sheldon, and his wife Grace, who's alter ego is Lady Liberty, have two kids. The Code and their parents' life as heroes have had dramatic and dividing impacts on them. Brandon, know as Paragon, wants to carry on the Union. He is not his father and even though everyone tells him he can't live up to that legacy, he tries. But even his father is unsure of him. Meanwhile his sister, Chloe, is rebelling against the code, her father and his morality. We have the original heroes who have served the world since the late 1930's and then the next generation who have inherited their powers.  All are put to the test when the supervillain Blackstar breaks out of prison.

But that is only part of the story. We also get flashbacks to the 1929 era where we see our heroes before they gained their powers. It shows us the forces and morals that shape them for decades to come.

It was a bold first episode. It raises a lot of questions. It also seeks to examine many of the issues and questions about how superheroes would really work in the real world. Our podcast is ready to examine them all along with you our loyal community.

Welcome to Blue Valley, Nebraska! We are parking the Waverider and following the story of a promising new hero, Stargirl.

When we last left our heroes, the adult members of Team JSA fell victim to Brainwave's reprogramming, and they had 30 minutes to interrupt Brainwave's transmission. Fortunately, Beth and Chuck had a plan! They hit the Gambler where it hurts (his money) and hacked the underground frequency blockers to free Pat and Justin from Brainwave's control.

We finally get the showdown we've been waiting for, and Team JSA shows the ISA they mean business. After gaining the upperhand, Yolanda kills Brainwave and Courtney destroys the satellites, freeing everyone from the mind control spell.

Icicle tries to make a last stand and pleads with Barbara, but she sees through his facade and turns him down. Stargirl and Pat team-up to rescue Barbara and Mike runs Jordan down with a truck.

We're a few villains down, but there's still much to look forward to next season, including the Shade and Eclipso. Oh, and STARMAN IS ALIVE. Or so we think...

This week the Waverider is flying between 1895, 1937, and 1253 B.C. We see a not vampire tale with a resurrection and a woman out of time starting wars tale. Join us as we rewatch "Return of The Mack" and "Helen Hunt"

"Return of The Mack" finds Nate using his history skills and Gideon's help to find the patterns to the anachronisms and the outliers.  It led them to 1895 chasing a vampire in the time of Jack the Ripper. What they find is a cult worshiping Mallus, Rip on a vendetta to stop Mallus, and Damien and Nora Darhk.  Nora is working with Mallus to bring Damien back to life. We get some cool fight sequences and get to see Zari start to own her role as totem bearer.

"Helen Hunt" has Helen of Troy brought to 1937 Hollywood. Even there she is starting literal wars by men wanting her. Jax & Stein have a "Freaky Friday" experience that only Hedy Lemar, actress and tech inventor, can solve. Damien, Nora, and Kuasa are there on Mallus's mission. We get to see Damien & Sara battle, a Totem Bearer battle, and the Legends versus Nora fight. We learn that Kuasa is Amaya's granddaughter and Nora is Damien's daughter. Sara is out for the count and Zari hacks history by taking Helen to Themyscria.

Does The Betrayal refer to the JSA betraying Cindy by not trusting her? Does it refer to Cindy betraying Courtney's secret of training Cameron to the JSA? Or is it something else? We don't know but. this was a wild ride!

Courtney is still not telling the truth to Cameron about her being Stargirl. However she is helping him refine his powers and gain control over them. But his grandparents are suspicious. Pat & Barbara are concerned that the grandparents will share Icicle's end by the JSA with Cameron.

Starman is more level headed and even this week. He gives Courtney great advice and says he will stand up for her, after the JSA kicked her out.

Mike and Jakeem are still trying to win Cindy over to their side. But even Zeek's advice will not help.

Beth hacked The Gambler's laptop and discovered the hidden cameras all over the town. The person in the shadows is watching them all and putting together a puzzle of a skull. Is this Mister Bones?

Flash is back and Xforce is away! Harley is the only recurring and stable host so far..what is with that??

It's episode 5 of Superman and Lois, as we get a deep look back at Lex's past with his marriage and his daughter, Elizabeth, so we can truly understand what brought them to the point they're at now with each other.

It's a solemn episode as things never went well for Lex, adding fuel to his anger and hatred fire for Lois and Superman. Blaming everything that has happened to him on them, and not ever considering he may have part to play in the loss of his daughter in his life. As the situation escalates, Lex loses all sense of rationale and compassion. Revenge is all that fills his heart.

The Waverider has landed Smallville.    Superman followed the escaped Ally through the portal to the Inverse reality. A month has passed and everyone is missing him. John Henry & Nat have rebuit Steel so he can help fill in for Superman. Sam has been training Jordan and he is doing great. He even takes is first superflight to save Kyle from an XK related fire.

After Sam offers protection, Jon reveales Candice as he source. She leads them to XK lab. Sam & Lois get caught and Jordan saves them both.  Even though Lana wins the election, times are hard for the Cushings. Kyle is putting on a brave face but not doing well. Sarah is frustrated with Jordan's distraction and absences and breaks up with him. Meanwhile, Natalie is upset with her dad for not remembering their Lois's death day in the way she thinks he should.

The Waverider is flying us back to STAR Labs from Smallville.  Barry & Iris are sticking to cars and no superspeed during the pregnancy. They are off on a babymoon adventure. Cecile is trying to balance her work, superheroing, and family but it is not going well. She is sleeping at her office and work is causing her to miss important events. Allegra is there to help her get perspective. 

Chuck is helping Mark to test Khione for powers. But they find none. Mark is living with regret for never telling Frost he lover her. He is projecting Frost on to Khione because he wants Frost to live on in her. She says Frost does live in him. Chuck sends the test results out for verficaiton. They find no dark matter and no meta indicators in Khione. But they also fince that she is not human.

Becky Sharp a.k.a. Hazard is back from the dead after Crisis. But her luck changes after her engagement. Cecicle & Allegra work to help her clear her name of attempted murder.

The Davies time machine has landing in 1986 outside Chernobyl. The Legends take time to process their thoughts and feelings. Zari helps Davies start to deal with his Shell Shock/PTSD from the events of World War I. 

Meanwhile, Bishop and Assistant Ava take a newly built Waverider out for a spin. But Bishop's plans are quickly hijacked by Evil Gideon. She is jealous and wants Bishop and only Bishop to be her Time Master. She is behind most of what we have seen this season. She is ruthless in correcting time and Assistant Ava & Bishop pay for it.

The Waverider is parked on the grounds of the Helix Institue. Courtney has to talk Mr. Bones and Nurse Love into allowing Jennie to help Todd out. They are so bent on separating people at the institute because of their powers. Her drive to connect and help people is what helped her form the JSA and with her help, Jennie & Todd balance each other out.

In the Shadowlands, The Shade and Pat have to confront their past and the mistakes they made. We learn Mike's mom was on drugs and abandoned him. Pat is conflicted realizing that in trying to protect Mike from the past, he is making it worse. Will he make big changes in his relationship with Mike? We will see. Even The Shade has to change. He agrees to mentor Obsidian in his powers, help Jade find the new Sandman and more.

We also learn that Mister Bones is not the man in the shadows in Blue Valley. We see him upset and smash a TV. His skin is not transparent like Mister Bones and not green like Dragon King's. Could it be Icicle reformed from his season 1 smash up?

As Season 4 came to a close, we decided to revisit Season 1 of the series to see how it compares to Season 4 and what elements of the show we miss from that first season.

Flash and Harley are discussing Left Behind and Progeny. As the show started, Rip Hunter is once more our captain and time was our ever present foe throughout the first season (oh, and of course, there's Vandal Savage). Let's hop back in the Waverider and return to the beginning of the series to see what we miss, what we don't, and where we want them to go with Season 5.

The Legends track down a magical being in Punk Rock London 1977 which turns out to be a shapeshifter. Ray infiltrates a band that causes London to fall into anarchy to find the person behind the kidnapping of the Queen of England.

 

Synopsis

Back at Time Bureau headquarters, a magical blip in the timeline is detected and Nate explains that a punk rock band called The Smell has kidnapped the Queen and her crown jewels. After the Queen is committed to an insane asylum, Britain falls into anarchy, altering the course of history. Sara tries to bring Nate along, however, he declines and tells her he is staying on with the Time Bureau.

Meanwhile, the Sara and Gideon bring the rest of the team up to speed and they head to London 1977 looking for a way to infiltrate the band. When Constantine and Rory have it out at the venue, it causes a massive fight and the band flees. They all pile into Ray’s van and he unwittingly drives them to their hideout. When Ray informs the team he knows where the hideout is, Sara instructs him to stay and Constantine offers bizarre advice for catching a leprechaun. It quickly becomes apparent a leprechaun is not the culprit and the band put Ray’s trust to the test in one of their pranks.

With an assist from Sara and specific instructions from Mick, Ray kidnaps one of the Queen’s corgis and makes a break for the getaway van. The unharmed dog, now with a mohawk, is dropped at an animal shelter and the band celebrates a successful prank. They commemorate the occasion by giving Ray a tattoo to make things official.

Meanwhile, Constantine storms off after another fight with Mick and Zari tracks him to a pub in Liverpool. Despite her jokes, Constantine is not their for the usual reasons, but rather to meet his mum. We later find out that Constantine also attempts to prevent himself from being born, however, the “ball kick” paradox prevents that from happening. He gets in a fist fight with his dad and gets kicked out of the pub.

Ray forms a bond with Charlie and learns her true nature: she’s a shapeshifter. Instead of kidnapping the Queen she simply becomes the Queen. He also tells her about how his disco “band” has changed, what with Sara’s serious relationship, and Nate and Amaya leaving the Waverider. Ray tells the team what he has discovered and explains that he thinks he can have her back-off. Constantine immediately tells him he cannot trust the shapeshifter and the team forms an alternate plan when they all come to the consensus that Ray is in over his head.

In the final confrontation, the shape shifter turns into each member of the team in turn, telling them exactly what they need to hear to keep her from going straight to hell, literally. In the end, Zari cannot send her through the portal so Constantine removes her shapeshifting powers and they imprison her on the Waverider.

During the Legends adventures, Nate and Gary have their own adventure to a prehistoric period. Unfortunately, Gary brings back Seymour as a present for Nate and chaos ensues. They up killing a magical plant with office supplies, much to Ava’s dismay.

The Waverider has crossed us over into another universe where another world has its own superheroes and super villains. We are covering the Netflix series Jupiter's Legacy based on the Image Comics of the same name. 

In the past, our six heroes have returned to the United States and are being covered by the press. They are keeping their identities secret by wearing masks and helmets. They have the code already but still argue over it. Several members want to help the country and be leaders. But Sheldon shuts them down. We also discover that Richard a.k.a. Blue Bolt was the original owner of the power rod. We don’t know what happened to Richard or why George gave the rod to Hutch.

In the present, Walter is trapped in the clone’s collapsing mind. George in Skyfox form is fighting Walt. Grace goes in to save him but is frozen by Skyfox. After showing his plans for Shel & Brandon they are let go. Sheldon & Brandon must fight the real Blackstar. Sheldon is faced with a decision. He can kill Blackstar and break the code or allow Brandon to die and loose the members of the Union. Petra saves him that choice. Brandon puts the beatdown on Blackstar but does not kill him. Hutch and Chloe have a falling out about keeping their relationship separate from their lives. But in the end, she saves him from a job gone bad. 

Finally, we learn that Walt was behind the clone, framing George, freeing Blackstar, and putting a wedge between Sheldon & Brandon. Raikou knows the truth but will not join her dad. He knows she can be bought so he kills her.

In the past, Sheldon is obsessed with drawing what he saw in his vision. He is being haunted by his father. Walt & Jane try to help by getting George involved. George is all a facade. He lost his parents young and now he has lost his fortune. His words to Sheldon and the removal of the drawings seems to help. George puts the drawings together like a puzzle and the sight of it pushes Sheldon back over the edge with another vision.

In the present, we are introduced to Hutch and his crew of powered thieves. Hutch doesn't seem to have powers but has a teleportation rod. He has multiple people after him and bad luck seems to follow him. He gets his crew hurt in one heist and the follow up encounter with Chloe. It forces him to break his promise and kill people. We find out he is doing all this for his father, George.

The Waverider used its' time travel drive this week as we went into the past of Jennie and Todd. We saw the events of last season from Todd's point of view and learned of the trauma that happend as they were pulled apart as kids. It seems Jennie getting the ring on their birthday set both off them off with Jennie embracing the light to become Jade and the darkness overtaking Todd making him Obsidian. Mister Bones, Nurse Love and the Helix Institute lured him to their supposed safe place to learn his powers.

Last season's battle with Eclipso infected the Green Lantern ring with darkness from the Shadowlands. It is hurting both Jade and The Shade. The Shade knows Courtney can help Jade expell the darkness. But it seems like rescuing her brother is the only way. They discover that Mister Bones has been using light therapy to hold back the darnkess. But it is too late. Pat and The Shade are thrown into the Shadowlands.

In Blue Valley, the JSA disabled the power and are removing all of the cameras. But it has us wondering is it really Mister Bones behind it all? Rick is addicted to being Hour Man already. Yolanda will not come clean to her mother and her mother kicks her out of the house. The team is divided and in real trouble.

Fate, or Fates as it turns out, has caught up with the Legends. Charlie's sisters have figured out that she is John Constantine's time-traveling companion and has been able to elude them for years after escaping Neron's prison in hell.

Zari 2.0 goes on a soul-searching trip and confronts herself from her original timeline. While she's gone, Fate catches up to her brother and cuts his time short.

We learn all about Shiv as she confronts Courtney and the new JSA members (with Pat in tow) search her house for clues about her parentage. We got a lot of reveals which set-up more questions!

What exactly happens when the Dragon King takes off his hood? How long will Pat and Courtney lie to Barbara and Mike? Is Jordan interested in Barbara? Will Henry become a villain or decide to join the JSA? Why can't Cindy overpower the drones?

John Constantine joins the Legends in an unexpected quest to save Nora Darhk from the demon Mallus. The team loses Nora to the Order, preserving her future and our present, while Mallus gains a stronger hold over our Captain.

 

Synopsis

 

John Constantine breaks into an asylum to save Emily (aka Nora Darhk) and discovers something he was not expecting: the demon possessing Nora is Mallus and knows Sara Lance. Constantine tracks down the Legends in Central City and questions Sara about her involvement with Mallus. Sara reveals she traveled to the spirit world, allowing her to be known to, and tracked by, Mallus. She then convinces Constantine to allow her and the Legends to tag along to the exorcism.

 

As soon as they arrive and find Nora, Kuasa arrives at the asylum to prevent the Legends from interfering with Mallus’ possession of Nora Darhk. Amaya takes her on while the rest of the Legends try to wake Nora. In the end, Nate leaves to help Amaya and uses Leo’s cold gun to freeze Kuasa. They return to the Waverider with Kuasa while Sara, Leo and Constantine stay behind to exorcise Nora.

 

Unfortunately, Mallus is too strong for Constantine to handle and Mallus/Nora create an incantation to send Constantine and our two Legends back in time. They are now stranded in 1969 with no weapons and no way to communicate with the rest of the Legends throughout time. They decide to go with only way they know to communicate through time: place a note behind a painting and hope the Legends left in 2017 can find it.

 

Foiled again! Leo tries to plant the note and is stopped by orderlies. The younger version of Nora’s psychiatrist appears and orders Leo taken to surgery for a lobotomy. Meanwhile, John and Sara wander the halls of the asylum while Mallus haunts Sara, trying to break her. Constantine finds a way to reach her and cast Mallus out, for now. Then, unsure of who is seducing who, they make good use of a secluded laundry room. Luckily for Leo, they find him before he is lobotomized.

 

Meanwhile in 2017, Mick tries to watch a football but can’t hear for the rest of the team bickering! He pipes up and tells them all what to do, all in the name of peace, quiet and football. Ray and Zari head to the asylum, Nate and Amaya go their separate ways, and Kuasa remains frozen a little while longer.

 

Ray and Zari break Nora out of the asylum and bring her to Star City Jitters. Unfortunately, breaking news takes Nora back to her darkest days right after Oliver killed her father. Mallus makes his entrance and creates quite a scene in Jitters.

 

Meanwhile, Constantine summons Mallus into Sara so she can perform the time incantation that brought them to 1969 in the first place. While she is in the spirit world, she encounters Nora and encourages her to fight back. Luckily for her, she picks the exact time Nora is about to kill Zari, one of the Six, and Nora takes her body back from Mallus. Sara finishes her incantation and the Legends return to 2017. Daddy Darhkest makes his entrance, ensuring that his daughter is put back under the Order’s control so she may eventually resurrect him in her future (and the Legends past).

 

Back on the Waverider, Amaya has an informative chat with her granddaughter, too informative some might say, before Nate interferes. Kuasa does her best to kill him, but Amaya promises she will save her if she lets him go.

 

In the closing scenes, Constantine warns Ray to keep his nanite gun close as he may need to use it on Sara in the near future. Leo and Mick share a heartfelt goodbye during a football game. Lastly, Agent Sharpe appears and informs the team Rip Hunter has escaped!

The Waverider heads to Fist City in 1891 when a rage-eating gold-pooping alien has landed. Instead of the usual lawless Wild West, it seems this town has turned into a peace-loving, happy-go-lucky bunch to keep the worm at bay.

The Legends do their best to shake things up and end up defeating the worm in an unusual way.

Return of the Darhk… Come on… Return of the Darhk… Here I am! Not exactly a sparkly vampire, but hey, we’ll take it.

 

Synopsis

 

Rip has traveled to the time of Jack the Ripper for the sole purpose of doing his best Sherlock Holmes impression. Or just to chase an evil god who exists throughout time. Meanwhile, back on the Waverider, Nate pulled an all nighter to work out the pattern of the anachronism map. As it turns out, the map’s pattern is the golden ratio and forms a spiral pattern, except for two outliers: Seattle 2042 and London 1895.

 

The team travels back to Victorian London and interviews the coroner who performed the autopsy on their anachronistic corpse. He explains that the corpse fell from the sky and promptly stole his futuristic watch. He directs the Legends to a cemetery where he buried the corpse in an unmarked grave. Unfortunately, someone has beaten them there, twice! The Legends expect to find a very dead corpse and are surprised when a very alive Rip Hunter crawls out of the grave.

 

Against all odds (#sarcasm), Rip Hunter has gone rogue and decided to pursue his own personal crusade, an evil being named Mallus that even the Time Masters do not speak of. In return for the Legends’ help, he promises to get the Time Bureau off their backs. So they decide to use Pretty as bait and lure the vampire out of the Shadows. However, Rip and the team find a little more than they bargained for. Stein’s great-great-grandfather has teamed up with the “vampire” surgeon and a cult called The Shrouded Compass. As it turns out, they are trying to raise someone from the dead using a blood moon ritual.

 

While Sara and Rip rescue Nate and discover Damien Darhk, the mystic Eleanor has entranced Zari by channeling her dead brother. Unfortunately, this also blows their cover and a brawl ensues in the main parlour. Our team head back to the Waverider where Sara confronts Rip and they both accuse the other of losing perspective. Rip admits he was wrong and then activates the Gentleman’s Dreadnaught, sealing the Legends inside the ship. Unbeknownst to the team, Zari has already left to bargain with Eleanor.

 

Using Zari’s totem, Eleanor begins the ceremony to raise Darhk from the dead. Rip, however, has other plans. He demands to speak to Mallus through Eleanor and while they converse, the full blood moon magically raises Darhk from the dead, powers and all. Portals open and the Time Bureau agents arrive to help Rip, but they are powerless against Damien Darhk. They are slaughtered, and just before Rip meets his end, the Legends arrive to save Rip, but too late for the Time Bureau agents who are all dead.

 

After Rip’s betrayal, Sara has informed Agent Sharpe of his whereabouts. She turns up on the Waverider with Director Bennett to take Rip back home to face the tribunal. In exchange, the Waverider is free to roam the skies, fixing time.

The Legends travel to Chicago in 1927 which is the height of Prohibition and the reign of Al Capone. Thawne and Damien Darhk have recruited a newbie to their Legion of Doom, Malcolm Merlyn. Together, they lure our team to 1927 with the attempted assassination of Elliot Ness which causes a huge aberration. 

Our team takes the bait hook, line and sinker and fall right into the clutches of the growing legion of doom! Sara comes to terms with losing Laurel, and helps Stein work through his anguish of what to do about his new daughter. Rory takes charge of our crew to infiltrate Capone's base, the criminal way, all the while building a closer bond with Vixen. 

It's a mobster's town in this mid season finale! Good fun, some revelations revealed, and pretty tense moments with Eobard Thawne! And what's that at the end? Rip Hunter?

Hey Super Fam! Finally we're back in Smallville, and things aren't looking good.

We pick up as if the finale of season 3 never finished and continue with the battle of the universe as Superman and Doomsday duke it out in space for DAYS!!

Back on Earth, Lex has moved into Smallville and is looking to make Lois’ life hell. He has his right-hand woman, Amanda, buying up land and leading the company. Gretchen holds Sam captive while toying with him a little, until Lex shows up and wants him buried alive. Luckily Jordan finally hears them and flies to the rescue with Lois in tow. Phew!

The epic battle rages on, and as Superman powers himself up for one final attack, Doomsday seems barely damaged, and ends up beating Superman in the final collison, ripping his heart out in the process. He then delivers the body to Smallville, dumping it on the street witnessed by everyone there. Lois & the boys are in shock and cry out in pain, as Doomsday takes the heart to Lex. Lois commands Jordan to take the body to the fortress, but all Mamma El can do is put him in suspended animation as he is unable to grow back organs.

Jordan goes on a vendetta to find his dad’s heart. Jonathan is searching Lex’s new place while Jordan hears what he thinks is the heart beating, and ends up walking right into Lex’s trap. He is taken down by kryptonite weapons and super sonic blasters. He is forced to watch as Lex stomps on Clark’s heart.

The family gathers at the fortress to say their goodbyes, but a hologram Clark appears, and lets them know he will do what he can to help them, but out there in the world, it'll be just the three of them from now on.

The Waverider has crossed us over to a new reality. One where the Tomorrow People, with telepathy, telekinesis, and teleportation abilities, are on the run from the government fun ULTRA organization.

Stephen is working for ULTRA to try to get info on his father and protect the Tomorrow People from the inside. But he quickly learns that Jed is not holding back. Anyone that does not follow his direction or is not easily swayed is killed.

John is resistant to trusting Stephen based on his own time at ULTRA. It takes Cara and Russell to help him open up to Stephen. But Stephen proves himself. Stephen is in too deep, but for the good of the Tomorrow People and his family he must stay there walking the razor wire.

In typical Legends fashion, the season premiere introduced a magical season with a blood thirsty unicorn massacring hippies at Woodstock. John Constantine joins the Legends to send the bloody beast straight to hell with the help of the Virgin Gary.

 

Synopsis

The season starts five months after the Legends defeated Mallus and it appears to be business as usual as the Legends continue to track down anachronisms and repair history. The Time Bureau even throws a surprise party to celebrate!

Ava and Sara sneak off to celebrate while Nate and Mick head off to “rob” Nate’s parents. Meanwhile, Zari confronts Ray about letting Nora escape from the Time Bureau.

After Constantine drops in on Sara and Ava, Sara has Gary review the timeline for anomalies. She learns the most likely spot a monster is hiding is Woodstock. Ray comes to the same conclusion after asking Gideon to review the timeline. Zari confronts him and when he admits he helped Nora, offers to go with him to look for her. Meanwhile, Nate discovers the anomaly while arguing with his father.

After the Legends all meet at Woodstock, they quickly discover Nora Darhk is not the cause of the hippie massacre. Instead, a beautiful, majestic unicorn is running people through and eating their hearts. Mick tries to burn the unicorn, but the damn horse is fireproof and it sprays all the Legends (except Sara) with its special sparkle sauce.

Sara leaves the Legends to their own devices while she returns to 2018 to track down John Constantine. She explains the situation and Constantine informs her that her team is about to take a nasty hallucinogenic trip. One by one, we witness each Legends hallucination, and by the time John and Sara arrive, the other four are high as kites in the forest.

Back on the Waverider, John does some research and determines the proper spell and ingredients to defeat the unicorn. The now sober Legends help track down all the ingredients at Woodstock, save one: a virgin. Fortunately, Constantine knows just where they can find one of those.

Interim Legend Gary joins the team as bait to help lure the unicorn out in the open. The rest of team looks on as the bloodthirsty beast all but kills Gary as Constantine begins the spell. After a good bit of work, Constantine prevails in sending the unicorn to hell while the other Legends hang onto Gary to prevent (most) of him from following the unicorn straight to hell.

In the closing scenes, Sara comes clean to Ava (who still wants her to move in), Nate has a beer with his dad, and Zari takes Ray to see her mother in a park. Sara visits to Constantine, presumably to offer him a spot on their team, and wracked with an unknown guilt, Constantine drives her away the best way he knows how. He proceeds to drink himself stupid as an unknown demon attacks him and writes an eerie warning on his mirror.

A title we won't ever forget. One of those moments you will always know exactly where you were and when you heard it.

The most unexpected ending we could ever have imagined. And that gutted us. Like being hit by a Sentinel sized fist right in the stomach.

Rogue is devastated. We all are. The sheer amount of loss this episode is unprecedented. Words cannot express the impact on our hearts.

Holy Finales, Legendaires! This one was certainly jampacked with the usual finale items: wrapping up the season's story, sending off characters, and setting up the next season. I must say while the Encores fell flat this season, the Fates were a worthy foe and I enjoyed the ending of the story.

The writer's room was as clever as ever and the actors were brilliant. It's what our show does best. Goofy, heart-warming, and a side of superhero action. This was one of the more consistent seasons we've had while embracing the goofy, crazy nature of the Legends that we have come to know and love.

Until next season, Legendaires, when the rest of the team finally realizes Sara has been abducted by aliens.

Well, maybe not, we'll be back in the offseason with some rewatch fun since the earliest we could be coming back is 2021. Stay tuned to the feed.

The Waverider is docked at STAR Labs. This week Bloodwork returns to try and take over the multiverse through infecting people with his blood. But he needs Kid Flash to do it. Diggle a.k.a. Spartan is in town for Barry's 2nd 30th birthday party. But after Blookwork poisons everyone at the party, and then takes over Wally, Barry suddenly is on his own. Before he could talk Wally out of his trance, he gets a vibrating hand through the chest! The long awaited return of Oliver Queen appears to Barry on Lian Yu, which is once again acting as the great void of purgatory. Using his powers as Spectre, he brings Barry back to life and then suits up as Arrow for one last battle together with Diggle and Wally. The four of them take down Bloodwork and save the new multiverse.

It was an emotional tug at the heart with outstanding music and tear filled reunions. Join us for our coverage of the return of Oliver to the Arrowverse.

The Waverider was stuck in the Temporal Zone trying to find the Earth that is missing from time and space.  Nate & Zari 1.0 are stuck in the woods of Alaska. In this week's episode, our band of heroes travel back to the 80's in pursuit of Vandal Savage. 

After breaking into the Pentagon, our team quickly falls apart as things begin to take a turn for the worse. Using the intel they have managed to gather, the team tracks Vandal Savage to Russia where his team of scientists are trying to create a Soviet Firestorm.

We are introduced to a new foe, Valentina Vostok, the nuclear physicist working to create the Soviet Firestorm matrix. In our first mission, Ray Palmer and Leonard Snart try to seduce Vostok in an attempt to learn about her top secret research. When they fail, Dr. Stein accompanies them to the research facility with dire consequences for the team.

In a side mission, Rip, Heatwave and Jackson investigate the appearance of Chronos in the timeline which leads to a surprising revelation. Meanwhile, Sara and Kendra remain on the ship to tame their inner warriors.

As Season 5 came to a close, we decided to revisit Season 2 of the series to see how it compares to the rest of the seasons. Was this the best season of the show? Join Flash and Harley as they answer this question during the rewatch.

Rogue is still unconscious as Jean Grey watches over her. Nightcrawler is concerned, but also comforts Jean when she questions her family choices.

Prime Sentinels awake all across the world, surprising everyone, in the show, and us the viewers at just who became one, and how many there actually were!

It's all out war as the mutants can barely hold their own and turn to run instead. That is until one fateful human, Val, decides she's seen enough, and frees Magneto from his captivity, and we see just what an Omega level threat is all about.

The Tomorrow People are tired of being cooped up in the abandoned subway station, so Cara proposes a night out. She finds a party they can attend and jaunts John for the right to take everyone out for the night. He's against it, but ends up coming along in the end.

Meanwhile, Stephen and Astrid are preparing for homecoming but Stephen is intercepted by Jed and is taken to meet the big boss at Ultra, who just happens to be another Tomorrow Person. 

Jed picks up Stephen just before he leaves for homecoming with Astrid and takes him to a warehouse for a loyalty test. Unfortunately, this warehouse turns out to be the same party where John, Cara, and the rest of the Tomorrow People are. It turns out to be an Ultra ambush and chaos ensues.

In a surprising ending, Cara uses the stolen serum to strip Kurt's powers for setting them up and getting at least three of their people killed. Stephen comes clean to Astrid and shows her what he can do.

My name is Eobard Thawne. I used the Spear of Destiny to rewrite reality and imprison the Legends in their own personal hell. Now I must destroy the Spear and their hopes of altering this brave, new world.

Synopsis

I've made Damien Darhk the mayor and rid Star City of all the vigilante filth trying to save it. Merlin is as pesky as ever even with his family restored to the timeline. Of course, I run Star Labs after I eliminated Central City's Flash epidemic. Snart and Rory are back to their old selves, content to rob banks even though they own half the city.

Jax is making Dr. Stein’s life a living hell so he will quickly design a nuclear reactor for me so hot it will incinerate the Spear. Mr. Palmer has no idea he's a billionaire genius and is cleaning toilets for a living. Rip Hunter is confined to a model sized Waverider prison where I expect he is slowly driving himself mad out of boredom. Just one small problem I've asked Snart and Rory to handle: Mr. Heywood suspects this reality is a false one and wants me to fix it. He’ll be dead soon enough.

Well it turns out Mr. Rory missed his friends and double crossed Snart when he tried to kill Mr. Heywood. Now they are on the loose, recruiting the Legends and restoring their memories of their original reality. It looks like Mr. Jackson failed to recruit Dr. Stein to the cause. A silent alarm was tripped and it looks like the reactor is ready to destroy the Spear. I'd better prepare another monologue and give them all time to take the Spear from me.

What's this? Damien, Snart and Merlin have banded together to take the Spear from me. Don't they know they are moving in slow motion compared to me? BAM! Well, that was unexpected. These fools are tossing the Spear around like a baton. It seems Mr. Rory fancies himself a Legend after all, perhaps Snart can recover the Spear before someone uses it.

Time to end this before more people are frozen to death or burned alive. I'm going to cement this reality once and for all by destroying the Spear.

The Legends are all shook up this week as they head to Memphis to ensure Elvis records his first single and rock ‘n roll lives on happily ever after. In a surprising twist, Elvis becomes a temporary totem bearer, alerting the Legends to the presence of the sixth totem: death.

Elvis enters a pawn shop in 1950 and purchases a cursed guitar. Much like Harry’s wand, the guitar chooses the player and Elvis forms an instant and unlikely bond with the cursed guitar. Little does he know, he has inherited the Death totem and his connection to his dead brother is about to destroy rock ‘n roll forever.

 

After everything on-board the Waverider related to rock music starts changing, the Legends head to Memphis to save Axl’s name, Guitar Hero and Nate’s trademark hair. They start at Elvis’s church where he is playing church hymns. Despite their loose attempts to stay under the radar, the Death totem activates Zari’s Air totem and she rises into the air, apparently possessed by “devil music.” Now aware of the sixth totem, the Legends fabricate a replacement guitar and give it to Elvis after Wally “conveniently” acquires the real guitar and totem.

 

But there is an unexpected consequence. Without the death totem, and his enhanced connection to his dead twin brother, Elvis cannot perform and bombs at the bar where he is playing. After speaking with Elvis, Nate and Amaya discover which totem Elvis has and warn the Legends on the Waverider. Unfortunately, they’ve already been introduced to Jesse and he is doing everything in his power to return to his brother. The Legends decide to reunite Elvis with his guitar/brother and preserve the timeline.

 

As usual, something goes horribly wrong. Elvis records his first single with the Death totem and imbues the record with the power to literally raise the dead. Elvis may still be on track historically, but the totem is still doing it’s best to alter history. While Elvis, Nate and Amaya are stuck in a jail cell, Zari and Wally are back in Memphis to retrieve the haunted record from Elvis’s uncle and  make sure his single debues on the radio. They succeed, after a surprisingly mature speech from Wally, and the song rocks the souls of everyone who hears it, including the dead ones.

 

Meanwhile, back on the Waverider, Mick discovers Axl’s body after he escaped from his cage when the haunted guitar flew around the Waverider. Distraught, Mick lashes out at Ray, who sympathizes with his loss and decides to throw a rat funeral. Just as the funeral concludes, Axl’s ghost appears and starts wreaking havoc on the ship. Mick shares a final moment with him before he disappears forever.

 

Back in Memphis, the sheriff eagerly lets Elvis, Nate and Amaya out of the jail cell so he can get in once ghosts start appearing all over the place. They quickly discover Elvis can command the spirits with his totem and he leads the spirits back to the church like the Pied Piper. He leads the ghosts into the church and through song, quiets their restless spirits as they return to the afterlife one-by-one. After saying goodbye to his brother, Elvis returns the Death totem to Nate.

Ray places the totem in an encrypted lockbox and it ominously rattles the box, trying to escape.

The Waverider avoided the Shadowlands portals and landed in Blue Valley. The threat of Eclipso has drawn together the current JSA, Doctor Mid-Nite, Starman, The Shade, Grundy, Sportsmaster, Tigress, and Artemis to the battle. The two Doctor Mid-Nite's help break the JSA out of their battles and The Shade frees Beth's parents. Stargirl has given into to her darkness and that is all Eclipso needs. He takes her over to begin merging the worlds. Only through Starman's words and her memories is she able to escape. Eclipso is defeated by a Staff/Ring/Thunderbolt blast. We also got introduced to Mr. Bones (Keith David) and the threats of next season. Hang on Cosmic Crew because our opinions are in conflict about this season finale!

Genghis Khan is attempting to take over Hong Kong in 1997 and Sara is still on business in Star City. Ava leads the Legends on a botched but ultimately successful mission to vanquish Genghis Khan. Meanwhile, Constantine is living out his last hours with stage IV lung cancer and tries to bargain with Astra for his life.

The Legends meet the Robo Legends and are no match for them. Sara's appeal to Robo Nate does not work. So Gwyn uses his wartime training to plan dirty warfare to distract, destory and infiltrate the Waverider. Thawne is killed and Sara is left with the burden to protect the fixed point. But Nate fools he Robo counterpart into taking the job. But Gideon is stabbed by Robo Astra.

Welcome, Legendaires! We're back on the Waverider to discuss the premiere episode of season 6, Ground Control to Sara Lance.

We pick up where we left off, a night of drunken fun in London 1977. Mick returns to the Waverider after dropping off his daughter to find it trashed. He finds Ava and together they piece together where to find the rest of the team. Nate is having a heart-to-heart with David Bowie, who shares that Sara was abducted by aliens.

The Legends return to the Waverider with Bowie's super-8 footage and Ava finds out Sara was going to propose to her! Unfortunately, so does the entire team. Ava expertly plays the Legends until they do exactly what she knew they would do, leaving her and Nate to come up with a solid plan.

We soon get the reveal that Gary was behind Sara's abduction and has been observing the Legends since his introduction to the team in Season 3. He has kidnapped Sara as an example of the quintessential human to please his boss and fiance, Kayla.

Eventually, the Legends have a credible lead after they track down Spooner Cruz. She was abducted by aliens as a child and has an antenna in her head that will help locate the aliens. Between er antenna and Constantine's magic, they locate Gary, and Ava projects herself onto the alien ship.

Renewed by her conversation with Ava, Sara breaks free from the cryopod and kicks Kayla out of the ship into the wormhole. Unfortunately, her tactics make the ship unstable and a bunch of aliens spills into the time stream while she and Gary careen off-course to a nearby planet.
