When we recorded this episode we had massive technical issues, Instagram would only let 2 of us in on the live. We struggled on regardless and had some good laughs as usual.

Ben started the episode in his hot tub then showed Marc around his garden before jumping in his car and drove to his allotment, where Jamie joins the live.

The sunsets during this episode plunging Ben and Jamie in to darkness, there are also lots of Top Gear references in this episode, we have Ben touted as gardening’s answer to Top Gear.

The episode we forgot! We recorded This episode towards the end of 2023, and somehow when we were transferring all our episode to podcast we forgot this one as it wasn’t numbered on instagram.

First we had Marc’s son George on to talk about his fantastic fundraiser where he will be doing a 8 mile walk from a local park all the way in to Lincoln and up Steep hill ending up at the Castle, he came up with this all on his own. George has Cerebral Palsy which affects his entire right side of his body meaning he has minimal use of his right arm and his right leg is weaker than the left, so 8 miles is going to be a real challenge for him. Tamsin has had quite the career in horticulture starting working in the parks department, being an interior landscaper, a shop owner, a magazine writer and editor, an RHS judge and now a gardener at her uncles garden.

Today’s guest is the wonderful Head Gardener at Melbourne Hall gardens in Derby.

It’s was great to hear some of the history of the gardens and some of the exciting newer additions that have been made in the most recent history. We also talk about slugs and pests and the natural order of thing.
