Last week, my business email account got hacked.

The hackers gave me a deadline window of 48 hours to pay a ransom of thousands of dollars, and if I didn't, they threatened to release indecent images and videos of me, to my entire network including my phone contacts, my email list and my entire social media network.

In today's episode, I share with you what went down, including what measures I took to safeguard my assets. I also share with you my biggest learnings and takeaways, that I took from this ordeal.

This week's episode is inspired by a post I saw on social media about Chanel and the prices of its bags. I realised pricing is something most entrepreneurs struggle with at some point, and I thought it was a good idea to shed some light on this sensitive topic.

I want to share a personal story with you. A short time ago, while I was journaling and being open and honest with myself, I realised that I've been blocked for the past eight months. Although I've been repurposing my content and kept showing up consistently, I've noticed our growth stagnated. Still, far from punishing or judging myself, I took the opportunity to learn and evolve, to deal with my blockage healthily, and today I’m sharing those learnings with you.

I went on a three-day virtual retreat with Taki Moore, and he asked us a question that inspired today's episode. He asked us what we, as business owners, need to get better at? He said that we must get better at nurturing our leads. So today, we will talk about one way of doing it: prioritizing our DMs.

I didn't pay much attention to email marketing during the first couple of years of my business. I would occasionally send emails to our small mailing list, and we weren't making any sales through them. However, by the end of Q1 2021, I decided to take action, and we managed to increase our open rate by 50%, multiply our click-through rate and start monetising. When you question your steps at every turn, you limit yourself from achieving your goals. Imposter syndrome can make you feel incompetent and unworthy of your success, but the moment you decide to break free from your fears, you can go for the things you were scared to do. In today’s episode, I’ll be sharing my experience with battling imposter syndrome and how you, too, can get rid of what’s stopping you from rising to a new level.

Over the weekend, I achieved my biggest social media milestone to date, by topping the 1Million Follower Mark on Instagram!

It's a milestone that I have dreamed of for so long and to finally reach such an incredible milestone and grow a community of that size, is incredible. 

Today, I am sharing with you, how I used circumstances that were happening in my personal life at the beginning of this year, to fuel my growth to 1Million Followers on Instagram.
