02 Feb 2021EP 89: "Lock It In” + The Best Valentine’s Day Gift Ever00:37:34

Memories of Us has launched - and just in time for Valentines Day! We believe this journal will carry great weight and impact, beyond your marriage + for generations of your family to come. To celebrate Memories of Us launching, we are diving into why making memories + marking moments is SO important to us and how you can cultivate this in your relationship too. We love what Corrie Ten Boom brilliantly says, “Memories are the key not to the past, but to the future.”

Beyond making memories, we love to “lock it in.” This is our way of creating a mental tattoo of important moments to us; moments of celebration, loss, disappointment, or even just the little daily moments of discovery, connection, or breakthrough. It has become part of our marriage culture and we hope to encourage you to find your own way to integrate this into your relationship too!

11 Oct 2023Ep 97: Our Journey With Church01:03:19

Let’s talk about church  ⛪ We have experienced many versions of the Christian church, and have openly shared them over the years. In our culture right now, there is a lot of sentiment around church; from church hurt, to frustrations, to people leaving church and not attending anymore.

Over the last few years, we have found ourselves wrestling with the gap of what church should be like and what church is actually like. It has been a journey but we are landing on solid ground. 🥾

Our hope is that this conversation inspires conversations within your home, family, and marriage about being a follower of Jesus and what being part of the body of Christ means for you.

Ps - have you left the podcast a review yet? We are so thankful for YOU, our listeners. And we want to hear what you love about the show. So take a moment to leave a review on your podcast app. It means the world to us ♥️

In this episode we talk about:

  • Our individual backgrounds in church
  • Letting go of expecting things from the church you can only get from walking with Jesus
  • Why you shouldn’t outsource your spiritual walk to the church
  • Moving from criticism to grace when it comes to your perspective of the church

Let’s talk about alcohol. Over the last year, our perspective around alcohol has evolved and has led to a pretty significant shift in our lives. One thing we have learned is that not every new discipline has to be extreme because extreme can be unhealthy. But when you develop new ways of living a more whole and healthy life, you understand that healthy moderation is possible. ♥️

There are several reasons why we have scaled back alcohol, and as we share them with you we hope conversations in your own heart and in your own home arise.

In this episode we talk about:

  • Our personal experiences + upbringing surrounding alcohol
  • Ways alcohol was impacting our health (physically + spiritually)
  • How being extreme in new disciplines can become unhealthy
  • Why it was possible for us to give up alcohol this time compared to when we have tried before

We live in a fast paced, convenient world that does not value the power of writing things down or communicating well. And one of the biggest things that come against healthy (+ creative) communication is social media. If not harnessed and wrangled, social media will rob you of your love story.

Communication isn’t just a big conversation once a night before you go to bed. It can happen in creative ways throughout your day. Affirmations, sticky notes, letters - all of that. They are powerful! All it takes is a bunch of words strung together to build a beautiful story. There are little things you can do everyday that have weight + make such a big impact in your relationship. We hope this episode motivates you to do the small, simple, attainable things that come with big rewards.

In this episode, we are sharing more of our new book, A Love Letter Life! This is probably one of our favorite chapters in the book. It talks about a love story that helped shape our love story. And within that story, there is a principle that we loved and chose to be intentional with it. We are talking about the principle of sharing. The idea of sharing your life with someone else and striving towards oneness. Loving what they love, and allowing yourselves to build thousands of strands of oneness and togetherness. 16 Oct 2024Ep 122: Parenting Then Vs Now (how our philosophy has changed)01:15:25

Has our parenting philosophy changed over the last 7 years of having multiple kids? Absolutely. Because the truth is that as we grow + change our family, our perspective grows + changes alongside of it. And in today’s episode, we are talking all about those changes as we share what our experience has been from no kids to one kid, to now having four kids.

Some of the perspectives that we have changed are around topics like vaccines, birth choices, sharing the bed, managing screen time, discipline strategies, the role of sports in our family, and a few more hot-button topics (because those are the ones we have shifted on most!). At the end of the day, it is all about trusting your gut, finding balance, and embracing the unpredictable nature of parenting. So grab your headphones and listen in!

28 Jan 2021Ep 88: The Fear Of Being Cheesy, The True Or False Game, & The Death Of A Dream01:22:14

We are SO excited for today’s episode because we are covering a lot of ground!

First, we are going to tackle a fear floating around our world today when it comes to relationships: the fear of being cheesy. And how that fear holds us back from pursuing creativity in our love stories.

We are also going to play a fun game that involves YOU guys! We asked you on Instagram to share some statements/assumptions about us, and we are going to answer those.

A lot of those questions had to do with the farm. And we have been processing this all summer + are finally ready to share an update with you. While it won’t answer all your questions, we know that it will bring enough clarity as we share our hearts.

And finally, we are going to talk about roles in our relationship (something you all have been asking more and more!)

So grab a cup of coffee, sit fireside, and let’s dive in!

  • An honest update on the farm and how we are processing what feels like the death of a dream.
  • A rose + thorn from our week (who remembers this from previous seasons??).

02 Apr 2019Ep 21: How We Prepared More For Our Marriage Than Our Wedding Day00:44:31

It's book launch day!!! A very big part of the reason why we wrote A Love Letter Life, was that we felt very strongly, when we were engaged, that we wanted to be more intentional about preparing for our marriage than preparing for our wedding day. It's something that our culture as a whole, especially our generation, has lost sight of. We spend all this time planning this epic wedding day, but then forget to prepare for an epic marriage. That's something that we are really passionate about. So we are going to share six things with you that found super helpful during our engagement that helped us prepare for our marriage. Hopefully they will help you in whichever walk of life you are currently in.

There's an enemy to our overall health that’s already trojan horsed its way into our lives. It’s called HURRY – otherwise known as the pace in which we live our lives. And I think we can all admit that we need to find ways to slow down and find silence in our day-to-day.

25 Apr 2019Ep 28: Fighting The Purity Battle Before And Within Marriage00:41:59

Today's episode is another audiobook reading! We hope you guys are enjoying these. In this episode, we share about fighting the purity battle and how we struggled with it. This was probably one of the hardest chapters we had to write, but it has prompted a lot of great conversation from all of you! Culture has overvalued the wedding day and undervalued the promise of forever within marriage, in the same way, they have overvalued virginity and undervalued purity. So we unpack what purity looks like to us and how we should refocus our energy on fighting the purity battle and not just the virginity battle.

When Audrey started dating Jeremy, and they got engaged, they asked Chris and Jamie if they would do the premarital counseling. They inspired the Marriage Journal. They inspired so much of our book, A Love Letter Life, which is available everywhere now! They were huge supporters of Jeremy and Audrey in their relationship leading up to their wedding day and to this very day as well. And also just huge supporters of them in the writing of A Love Letter Life and Beating 50 Percent and all the other things that they do. 27 Mar 2024Ep 115: Our Philosophy On Food00:52:15

How do you get your kids to eat like that?! 😅

We are constantly asked about our eating habits – from what we eat in a day, what we buy, how we food prep, what we feed our kids, and what healthy snacks we feed our kids – and in this episode we are going to share all about that (and more).

Name one thing that is worth achieving that takes zero effort. Nothing. It doesn’t just magically happen, just like being healthy doesn’t just happen. It takes effort and it is usually the harder choice. It takes being conscious of what you are fueling your body with so you can live a healthier lifestyle. Food is fuel. And the right fuel takes effort.

At the end of the day, it comes down to aligning your family values with your overall health, which includes what you eat. For us, maintaining a holistic healthy lifestyle always aligns with our Christian faith and the interconnectedness of physical and spiritual well-being. If you are curious about how those go hand-in-hand and are interested in learning more about how we align food with our family values, listen in! ♥️

In this episode we talk about:

  • Why real food is so important and how it impacts your overall health
  • Ways we introduce healthy eating habits with our kids
  • How we align our family values around health + food
  • What conscious eating + spiritual awareness have in common

03 Mar 2020BTS Of Our Decision To Close The Always More Shop00:48:56

After a ton of prayer, endless hours of conversation, and plenty of tears, Jeremy + Audrey have decided to close the shop, Always More. If you have been following Audrey for a while, you know how difficult it was for her to make this decision.

⁣These words, inspired by Ephesians 3:20, are a reminder to ALWAYS believe in the MORE that is within, through Christ. Over the past 15 years, ALWAYS MORE has not only been a life mantra for Audrey, but it has also become a community, a clothing line, and a source of hope, inspiration, and encouragement to women around the world. There are countless stories about how ALWAYS MORE has helped so many people through loss, heartbreaking diagnosis’s, mental illness, miscarriages, becoming a mom, athletics, starting a business, or pursuing a dream. More than they ever imagined!

⁣⁣⁣We hope the shop closing doesn’t stop the ALWAYS MORE message continue to spread. The beautiful thing about encouragement is that it’s free to give, but it could be of infinite worth to the person receiving it. And that’s what we hope ALWAYS MORE will always be. ⁣#alwaysmore

We are *hopefully* coming to the finish line of our home renovation … and that is largely to due the fact that we are less than 3 months from having baby #4. So we realllyyyy would like to have the home + baby finish line aligned.

So this episode is a raw + vulnerable BTS look at our home renovation. So we are inviting you into this conversation about our home renovation; we’re peeling back the curtain and sharing the reality.

If you are thinking about doing a renovation or curious about how the renovation process works, we hope this episode is helpful. ♥️

🌟 Why Jeremy has taken on the role of General Contractor (and why we didn’t hire someone else for that)

🫠 Things we wish we would have done or decided months before the actual renovation

10 Jan 2024Ep 106: Christmas at Roloff Farms + 3 Questions To Ask Your Kids (Depending on if they are feeling, thinking, or doing suppressed)00:56:12

Happy New Year!! ✨ The holiday season was FULL of movement for us. We spent Christmas at Roloff Farm (in the home where Jeremy had Christmas every year growing up!) then went to our cabin in Spring River before heading back to our temporary home with Audrey’s family. 🫠

We’ve lived out of luggage for the last two weeks, and there is a reality to it that social media just doesn’t paint! So, we want to share some BTS of our experience over the last few weeks. BUT more so, Jeremy faced his “dragons” and went back to his childhood home for Christmas. Because there is something powerful, vulnerable, and healing when you face your dragons. 💌

In this episode we talk about:

  • Creative date night ideas; what we do + how we plan intentionally to make dates happen
  • How being at the farm for Christmas brought a depth of peace to our family
  • Discovering whether your kids are feelers, thinkers, or doers (+ what to ask them that will help them feel seen, loved, and process best)

More audiobook readings! We are reading from the chapter titled A Creative Type of Love. This is our favorite chapter! DATE INTENTIONALLY. LOVE FAITHFULLY. This is essentially where our "Love Letter Life" began; in the typewriter letters, long distance dating, and desire to do things differently. We hope you enjoy listening to these audiobook readings.

15 Oct 2019Ep 59: To Hell With the Hustle: Reclaiming Your Life in an Overworked, Overspent, and Overconnected World00:53:04

We are all about living intentionally and helping others discover what that looks like for them. So we are SUPER excited for today's interview with our good friend, Jeff Bethke.

To Hell With Hustle isn't just a book he wrote but a movement we believe the world needs to hear. In a society that thrives and craves busy, we need to embrace the silence and redeem the small moments throughout our day.

If you are feeling overwhelmed by the demands of work, family, community, or feeling anxious, tired or burnt out, this will definitely resonate with you. So, let’s get into it!

19 Feb 2025Ep 137: Embracing Your Season, Mindset Over Method, and Why We Don’t Sleep Train00:57:21

Life is FULL of seasons. Do you embrace them? Understanding AND accepting the different seasons of life is incredibly powerful. Because when you embrace your season you change your mindset and influence your experience. 💪

Today’s episode comes from a recent perspective shift we experienced that Audrey shared about online – why we don’t sleep train. While there is a wealth of information and opinions in society when it comes to sleep-training methods, the point of this episode is not to persuade you to one way or another but instead to spark a different way of thinking when it comes to the power of your mindset + embracing the seasons of your life.

03 Dec 2019EP 66: When Less Becomes More with Emily Ley01:01:52

We have been loving this season on the podcast and one of the biggest conversations we are continuing to have is around the idea of rest and slowing down. Emily Ley justs released her 3rd book, When Less Is More, after a season of redefining what “the good life” meant to her.

Her book was written from the trenches where she felt deep burn out even though a lot of good things were going on. She was saying yes to everything and soon her life and company became more complicated - coming against her foundational message of simplified. She felt really disconnected and far from herself.

You are going to love this episode! Let’s dive in.

10 Sep 2019EP 54: Ranch Life, Entrepreneurship, and BTS of 5 Mary’s Farms01:12:24

A few weeks ago we went to visit our friends Brian and Mary Heffernan of Five Mary's Farms! Wow! What an experience it was! From being on the ranch, sleeping in cabins, enjoying amazing farm to table food, and having even better conversation. The whole trip reminded us of the dreams in our hearts!

Brian + Mary have been together for 14 years and have 4 beautiful little girls. They left a busy, corporate life in Silicon Valley to pursue a life of ranching and raising children in a rural small town. They have rediscovered success and are on the narrow road toward their dreams. They are big dreamers who are not afraid of taking action on their dreams!

Their unique story is inspiring and resonates with our definition of success and life so much! We are really excited to share this conversation with you!
