In this episode, DuDs and Jimbo discuss the new features in Snapshot 22w42a/Preview 1.19.50.21, for Minecraft 1.19.3, these include experimental features for Minecraft 1.20 which are available through built-in experimental data packs (which Jimbo was seemingly unaware of). These include Bundles (Java only), Hanging Signs, Chiseled Bookshelves, Bamboo Wood, and Camels. In addition, this snapshot reworks the Creative Inventory tabs and adds a new “Panorama Scroll Speed” accessibility option. Plus, We have three listener comments; the first is from Jronman asking which update we would like to see after an Inventory update, assuming 1.20 is the Inventory update (which we now know it's not). The second is from JesseW asking about adding more ancient mobs in the future now we are getting the Sniffer, perhaps a more hostile one similar to a raptor or T-Rex? The final question is from BooN asking what we think of the new Bamboo wood type and if other blocks should get a patterned version. In this episode, DuDs and Jimbo discuss the recent announcement from Mojang that the Caves and Cliffs update will be split into two. The first will be 1.17, which will be released in summer without the new world height or cave generation (although a datapack will be available); this update will include the Goat, Axolotl and Glow Squid along with the new blocks, items and ores. The second update, which will be known as 1.18, is planned for release around the holiday season and will include all the new generation of caves and cliffs. Unfortunately, archaeology will not be included in either of these updates and will be released at a later date. In this episode, DuDs and Jimbo discuss snapshot, 21w08a, for Minecraft 1.17, that tweaks cave sizes and generation further. Grimstone is now called Deepslate, and we now have Deepslate versions of Iron, Gold, Lapis, Redstone, and Diamond ores. Andesite has been changed out for Tuff, and the snapshot adds Smooth Basalt and Cobbled Deepslate. Also, we have a question from ChiefBigBear about which aspects of Minecraft DuDs and Jimbo thought they would hate when it was first announced but ended up really enjoying when it was eventually added to the game. In this episode, DuDs and Jimbo discuss Minecraft Java Snapshot 22W13A for Minecraft 1.19, The Wild Update, which ends the experimental features and adds the Allay mob and Ancient Cities to the update, it also includes a new Redstone room under the portal. Changes in this snapshot include Minecart variants (Hopper Minecarts, etc) no longer split into two items (matching the new Boat with Chest), only wool and carpets now block the sounds coming from Noteblocks, and the recipes for all Minecart variants are now shapeless. Plus, all our inventory problems are fixed with the 'One Block at a Time' update for April Fools - who's needs an inventory update when you don't have an inventory in the first place.
