She is best known for integrating metaphor and storytelling into her training as a clinical psychologist to explain the complex issues that underlie struggles with eating and body image.

Meet Bryan Grone, and get ready to be inspired. As a kid, Bryan could not run the required mile in gym class, and at that moment decided he was simply "not a runner". 30 years later, while as a busy parent and husband, his sense of exploration allowed him to go outside and try a very short jog in his neighborhood in upstate New York. Fast forward 12 months from that jog, and Bryan completed three half marathons, as well as 600 total miles outside. With beautiful vulnerability and reflection, this conversation unpacks the elements that allowed Bryan to unlock what was dormant inside of him this whole time, and discover a new life passion that has made his life significantly better. Running was his vehicle, but this conversation is around themes that anyone wanting to reinvent themselves should listen to.

Nadia Estefania had it all: a high-power tech job in NYC, along with a great salary, benefits, and title. She was in "hustle mode" and achieving all the things she was supposed to... and then, she realized none of it was her doing. It was what had been put on her by societal expectations, and the definitions of success we're all raised to believe should be the goal. She became burnt out, developed Hashimoto's disease, and simply felt terrible. Then... she stopped. She literally stopped. But what I am asking everyone to do today - regardless of your personal views - is to broaden what the word "Transformation" means to you, and dig into the often-ignored, clunky, challenging, and even brutal process of becoming your true self.

My guest today is Jessica Salazar. Jess grew up in Salt Lake City in an extremely conservative, evangelical Christian environment and was raised to believe that very traditional roles, especially regarding gender, sexuality, relationships, and parenting were the only option for her. In her late 20s-early 30s when her body started telling her something was not right, she began a very long process of unlearning the theology and rigid expectations she had grown up with, in an effort to find a more authentic, whole version of herself. Jess finds herself today on an on-going journey to truly live a brave and shame-free life, and hopes to inspire others to be themselves… no matter the cost.
