18 Jan 2016S01, E26 - Danish Dynamite?00:56:52

This week, Tom rises from his death bead to regain the host's chair and pick the brains of this week's esteemed guests. Dan returns to normal duties, we welcome back Rich Arrowsmith from the Chelsea pod, and Phil (@SingleMaltSuds) makes his debut. They discuss the resounding response to the midweek loss to Leicester by working out how important Dembele was to the win against Sunderland and to the team overall, as well as the contribution of Christian Eriksen. Why does the Dane split opinion, and what can he do to get everyone on board. We preview Palace (potentially with old favourite Adebayor), talk Townsend and pick apart the fashion choices of David Pleat. COYS.

25 Jan 2016S01, E27 - Do The Dele Alli01:00:40

Dan and Tom are joined by Adam Nathan this week to discuss the weekend win at Palace, in particular the wonder strike from Dele Alli which is the best goal that has ever been scored. We discuss Pochettino getting subs right, our four fabulous full backs, life without Vertonghen and, to some extent, preview Colchester in the Cup on Saturday. We mull over whether Poch is the best manager of our lifetime(s), as well as our favourite touchline style; it's tracksuit Poch vs suited Poch. COYS.

24 Nov 2015S01, E18 - We Are Dembelievers01:04:55

Dan and Tom are joined this week by Catharine (@curlycaff) and Rosa (@Rosa_la) to mull over the brilliant all-round performance against West Ham on Sunday. They pick over the individual contributions of Kyle Walker, Harry Kane, Dele Alli and of course Mousa Dembele, who Cath and Rosa never lost faith in. We preview Quarabag and Chelsea, debate what a crumpet is, reveal the not-so-secret love Rosa has for Ryan Mason and ponder what the future holds for Mauricio Pochettino; whether at Spurs or otherwise...

12 Sep 2016S2, E6 - Sonny Afternoon01:10:35

Tom and Dan welcome back Jim and Oly to discuss the smashing of Stoke, Monaco in the Champions League and Sunderland this weekend. It's a bumper pod, so expect strong opinions on who should play behind Kane, is Wimmer actually any good, and will Wembley be everything we hope it to be?We mull over where Son fits into the team, and Davies, Wanyama, Dembele, Lamela, Alli, Eriksen, Kane, Walker are all covered too. It's a big one. COYS.

24 Oct 2016S2, E11 - Post Truth World00:57:18

This week, Dan returns to Tom's side and they welcome back Cath and Rosa to discuss two 0-0 draws in a week. We discuss Sissoko's ban, the lack of Kane on the Ballon d'Or shortlist, and Dan talks about his questionable bar choices in Leverkusen before going on the game itself. Were we fortunate to get a point, or should we have demanded more? Of course, Lloris' save is high on the bill as well. We move onto Bournemouth and a frustrating afternoon which saw us struggle to create chances and wonder whether Poch got his subs wrong. We preview the EFL Cup tie at Liverpool with a little pop quiz, and let all our hate for Leicester flow for the first time since they chanced their way to a title last season. It's fair to say Cath and Rosa have very little time for the 'fairy tale'. And, to be fair, so do we. COYS.

29 Dec 2015S01, E23 - A Christmas Carroll01:04:33

To round off 2015, Tom and Dan take a break from the pub to record in Dan's living room, discussing the Christmas victories over Norwich and Watford and the inevitable title buzz on the back of them. Are Spurs really in with a shout of winning the league, or should our ambitions remain within the familiar confines of finishing in the top 4? We also touch on Kane, Son and the emerging Tom Carroll, as well as Kieran Trippier's performance on his first Premier League start. Happy new year. COYS

05 Oct 2015S01, E11 - AVBarry From Eastenders01:05:26

Dan Kilpatrick and Tom Hayward have been allowed out of the pub kitchen and are back to discuss Sunday's draw with Swansea, the Europa League game against Monaco last week and beating the hangover of Europe's secondary competition. We talk Eriksen's free kick magic, the heartbreak of Dier's suspension and the levelling playing fields of Spurs and Liverpool, a conversation which sees Dan compare AVB to a sad, fat loser from a terrible soap opera.

11 Jan 2016S01, E25 - Wholesale Ch-Ch-Changes01:02:56

This week, Dan steps into the host's chair in the absence of a very ill Tom, and welcomes back Jim (@stylishriot) and Oly Lister to discuss the FA Cup stalemate with Leicester and what a replay will mean for our chances. The midweek Leicester league game is previewed and Oly is VERY optimistic about our chances. Dan asks the serious questions about Christian Eriksen, a potential tie with Colchester and what David Bowie song this Spurs team would be. #COYS #PrayForTom

29 Sep 2015S01, E10 - Finding Lamela01:05:18

This week, Dan Kilpatrick and Tom Hayward are joined once again by Harry Sherlock from Goal.com to discuss the NLD loss to Arsenal and subsequent pasting of Man City. We praise Eric Dier and Erik Lamela, while also looking at what sort of legacy the departing Franco Baldini leaves. Dan and Harry fight the corners of Rose and Davies respectively, and throughout the whole podcast we battle the loud humming of the ice machine we shared the recording space with.

19 Sep 2016S2 E7 - Mous Let Loose00:53:34

This week, Dan and Tom are joined by pod debutant Jack Chatterton and returning pod veteran Rich Arrowsmith to discuss the midweek loss to Monaco in the Champions League and the return to White Hart Lane bringing victory over Sunderland. The return of Mousa Dembele is discussed; should he have started against Monaco, and how did Dan survive a Poch grilling for asking that question of our manager? We talk the whole Wembley experience, including the journey home, and what effect it may have had on the players. Sunderland is picked over, including the excellent Son, Walker and Alderweireld, as well as the nasty looking injury to Harry Kane. How badly affected will be without him? Gillingham is previewed as badly as expected, and Middlesbrough doesn't get much better. We finish by discussing which player you reckon you could take a punch from. Hint: none of them. COYS.

28 Nov 2016S2 E15 - Bottling the Bridge01:03:46

This week, Dan and Rich Arrowsmith return to Tom's side along with Dan's ESPN (and Chelsea supporting) colleague Liam Twomey to discuss a damaging and depressing week at Tottenham. First, the bones of Monaco are picked over, including a baffling defensive line up and it's subsequent likely impact on our European adventures this season. Will we be embarrassed to be Europa League football at Wembley? We move on to Chelsea, and the very 90's feel it had once we'd surrendered our first half lead. Is this indicative of something more worrying at Spurs, or have we just played the best teams at the worst time? All of this leads to the enigmatic Moussa Sissoko, who Pochettino has publicly thrown under his bus. Is it too early to suggest he might never play for us again? Liam tells us what it's like being a Chelsea supporter when your club is in negotiations with Daniel Levy, we wonder what impact Paul Mitchell's departure has had on recruitment, a Swansea preview is completely passed over, and we run through our 10 most expensive signings. It isn't pretty. Nor is the ending, which was chopped off for some reason. Sorry. COYS.

14 Sep 2015S01, E08: 'Spurs vs The Eastern European Flautist'01:02:42

Dan Kilpatrick and Tom Hayward return to discuss the much needed first win of the season against Sunderland on Sunday, plus Mason and his constant improvement, Townsend's return and Chadli's missing person act. They talk about the favourite Spurs goals they've witnessed and wonder if the Eastern European flautist using the function room before them actually existed.

07 Mar 2016S01, E33 - Derby Day Damages01:15:14

Just Tom and Dan this week, and they are left to pick over what could have been after a pivotal week in the title race. The North London Derby takes top billing, including the two sides of Lamela, Pochettino's substitutions, the possibly flaking defensive unit, and of course Kane's wonder goal, which deserved to be the winner. We also look closely at the West Ham defeat, preview Dortmund, and try to convince ourselves that there's absolutely no way we'll lose to Villa on Sunday......is there? Listener questions are answered, including what injuries we have had from celebrating goals. Limbs AOTS. COYS

06 Sep 2016S2, E5 - White Hart Lane Special00:58:57

This week, for the international break, Dan and Tom are joined by the co-authors of The People's History of Tottenham Hotspur, Martin Cloake and Alan Fisher. What starts as a general chat about the book develops into a fascinating and poignant look through the history of the club, from the early days of attracting thousands to a game on the marshes through the years of developing White Hart Lane to the stadium we know - or knew - today. We speak about our favourite memories of our beautiful old stadium that will never be the same again. We also briefly touch on the transfer window and the upcoming Stoke game. This isn't one to be missed. COYS.

21 Mar 2016S01, E36 - Kane, Again01:00:45

This week, Tom and Dan are invited into the home of pod regular Adam Nathan, along with Ben Lewis who also makes his return. From the sofa, they discuss the already perhaps disappointingly long-forgotten Dortmund tie and what it told us about the squad, most notably the ongoing Bentaleb saga, and the weekend mauling of Bournemouth. Toby and Kane are gushed over, and we discuss how it would feel coming second to Leicester (spoiler: Adam gets VERY angry), plus the international break and Liverpool away. And in light of it's 10th anniversary, we discuss our favourite ever Spurs Twitter moments. COYS.

14 Aug 2016S2, E2 - Lamela Rinsed01:03:21

Dan and Tom are joined by Adam Nathan, returning for the first time this season to review the Premier League opening game against Everton and tell us why he's wiping the slate almost clean for Erik Lamela. The same can't be said for Vorm, however, who doesn't escape Adam's ire. Also, the debutants Wanyama and Janssen are discussed, as well as the rusty looking Kane and Alli. We preview Palace this weekend, and with Andros Townsend returning, just how many balls will we lose through the giant gap in White Hart Lane? All this plus listener questions, including what we would do if we were in charge of the wage structure at Spurs. So, the usual. COYS.

26 Sep 2016S2 E8 - From Russia With Love01:25:19

This week, Tom is left alone while Dan gallivants off to Russia to cover the game against CSKA, but luckily he has two podcast giants to keep him company. Harry Sherlock returns for his first pod of the season, and Jack Hussey joins from the Rule the Roost Podcast to talk all things Tottenham. The weekend win at Boro is analysed, including the continuing form of Son, the heart attack of a last half hour, and the unjust criticism of Vincent Janssen. Halfway through we get a direct line with Dan Kilpatrick from Moscow, who gives us the run down on the mood in Russia ahead of the game, and who we expect to see. The game itself is previewed by the guys back in London, and wonder if Poch has put all his eggs in a Man City shaped basket. The City game is excitedly previewed, and we talk about the not so tragic comedy happening over at West Ham, with our own new stadium drawing ever nearer. COYS.

29 Feb 2016S01, E32 - Rose on the Rise01:15:16

Dan and Tom are joined this week by Oly Lister and Harry Sherlock, the latter back for yet another Arsenal review. We discuss the Fiorentina win and the resulting tie with Dortmund, plus ticket prices and what it might do to the increasingly excellent White Hart Lane atmosphere. Swansea is picked apart, including the performances of Christian Eriksen and in particular the match winner Danny Rose. Is he as important as anyone else in the squad? Oly and Dan argue, West Ham is previewed, and we get increasingly giddy and nervous about the biggest North London Derby in decades. Come. On. You. Spurs.

12 Oct 2015S01, E12 - Feature Episode - Harry Redknapp Special01:38:44

This week, Dan Kilpatrick and Tom Hayward are joined by Oly Lister and Jim (@stylishriot) to reminisce over the Harry Redknapp years, from the relegation fears of 2008 to the glorious nights at the San Siro in the Champions League. We discuss the brilliance of Bale, the Crouch goal against City, van der Vaart, Modric, Gomes, King and so much more. Relive it all - the good and the bad - all over again.

31 Oct 2016S2, E12 - Derby Day Doubts?01:13:04

This week, Dan and Tom are joined by Squawka's Chief Football Reporter Greg Stobart, here in his dual capacity as journalist and Spurs fan in North London Derby week. We spend the first 20 minutes discussing Greg's recent reports on the stadium naming rights, plus how stats stack up against what you actually see in front of you. We move on to Liverpool and how Pochettino couldn't possibly care less about the EFL Cup, and then Leicester, against whom we continued to struggle turning chances into goals. Is it just a case of missing Kane? How much of an effect is the poor form of Eriksen having? All this, plus Leverkusen and Arsenal previews, which we approach with trepidation but defiance. Who is likely to be back, and who won't make it? Dan and Greg give us the insider knowledge. Could the Arsenal game be the game to ignite us.....? COYS.

29 Aug 2016S2, E4 - Everything Must Go00:58:46

This week, Tom must steer the Tottenham Way ship alone, with Dan going on a jolly for the second time in as many months. In Dan's absence, Sean Walsh and Phil (@singlemaltsuds) return for their first appearances of the season to first discuss the frustrating but ultimately fortunate draw with Liverpool. Again, we must talk about Eriksen, but Kane, Alli and the increasingly obvious absence of Dembele are discussed. With the international break coming up, this week is also all about the transfer window, and with so many players seemingly leaving - including Nacer Chadli, whose impact is analysed - why aren't we seeing any replacements and who should they be? With this in mind, listener questions are answered including what impact Paul Mitchell's resignation has had and our favourite protracted transfer sagas. There are a lot to choose from. COYS.

03 May 2016S01, E41 - The Fat Lady Sings01:07:40

Dan and Tom host a battered and broken podcast this week, with the returning Rich Arrowsmith and ESPN's Chelsea correspondent Liam Twomey left to pick up the pieces and discuss the final nail in the title coffin that was the draw at Stamford Bridge. We discuss dropping points from winning positions for the 8th time this season, Eric Dier earning about 19 yellow cards and not getting sent off, Dembele poking Costa in the eye and why it meant so much to Chelsea to stop us. Is this the start of a new, intense rivalry where both teams are fighting for the same goals? What can Spurs learn from games like that? How much can Tom grind his teeth when congratulating Leicester on winning the title? All this plus a Southampton preview and very skimmed over listener questions, mainly because many of them directed at Liam were not fit for public consumption. Stay strong. COYS.

10 Aug 2016S2, E1 - Dan Down Under01:12:52

Season 2 of The Tottenham Way Podcast starts in exactly the same way Season 1 ended, with Oly Lister and Jim (@stylishriot) joining Dan and Tom to discuss all the events of a typically busy Spurs summer. We pick over the news of Paul Mitchell's apparent departure, before a very tired and very ill Dan tells us tales of his excursions to Australia to report on the pre-season tour, including sitting down with Poch and talking to the Aussie fans who turned out in their thousands. We discuss Everton this weekend, Wanyama, Janssen, Lamela, the Champions League at Wembley, the effect last season might have on the players, who we expect to shine and who we fear might struggle. Feels good to be back. COYS.

07 Nov 2016S02 E13 - Dr Dembele01:01:17

This week, Tom and Dan are joined by Tom Allnutt of both the Press Association and Spurs fandom to discuss the vastly improved performance in the North London Derby, having played out an absolute shocker in midweek in the Champions League against Leverkusen. Dan and Tom discuss the differences in watching your club play a major derby from both a press box and a pub table, and which they prefer. The switch in tactics are discussed, is it drastically different to the norm? How much did it contribute to us dominating the ball against Arsenal? Who are the winners and losers of the formation, and will we see it again? The performances of Dembele, Son, Eriksen and Rose are touched on, before we revel in the glory of Harry Kane's goal scoring return. The squad has had some injuries of late, so we pick over why that might be, especially considering we had almost none last year, and we talk about Jan Vertonghen's perhaps understated place within the club. COYS.

21 Aug 2016S2, E3 - Eriksen in the Dock01:09:06

This week, Dan and Tom are joined by the returning Alex Brown, and the jury's out on our midfield dynamite. What is up with Christian Eriksen, or is there nothing to worry about? The Palace result is analysed, as well as the contributions of the ever improving Kyle Walker, plus Vorm, Wanyama, Lamela and Janssen. The Champions League draw is previewed, as well as the travelling circus that is Klopp's Liverpool. Can we regain the fear factor? All this plus listener questions, where Tom sings the Ginola song. COYS.

07 Dec 2015SE1, E20 - Spurs Get Pulis'd01:14:01

After a very shaky start, Dan and Tom eventually get onto all matters West Brom, with added analysis from Alex Brown (@AlexOfBrown). We discuss the extension of the unbeaten run and what it really means, the form of Lamela, Son and Eriksen, and pick over the talking points before Monaco and Newcastle. Lots to discuss.

09 May 2016S01, E42 - Get It Done00:52:06

An 'El Classico' podcast for the penultimate episode of the season, with just Tom and Dan left to chew over the disappointing loss to Southampton at the weekend. Instead of a proper review, we talk about everything from the captaincy of Hugo Lloris to whether we'd sign Shane Long (yes, that Shane Long). We talk about Daniel Levy's end of season statement, playing Champions League games at Wembley and saying goodbye to White Hart Lane. Newcastle is previewed, but the real matter at hand is getting a result - ANY result - to ensure the season doesn't end disastrously by seeing us finish below the scum again. Surely we have to do it.....right? COYS

19 Apr 2016S01 E39 - Stoke the Fires00:57:40

A very giddy Tom and Dan are joined by Jim (@stylishriot) and Rich Arrowsmith to discuss the absolute dismantling of Stoke City in front of their own very angry supporters, who as it turns out actually think we're pretty good too. Without the aid of a running order (and yes, you can tell) we try and put into words just how good this team is. Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen, Danny Rose all get fawned over. Could we win the league having not led it any stage during the season? Has all but assuring our Champions League qualification for next season flown too far under the radar? Who would you watch a Spurs game with over a glass of wine? Is Gary Lineker's arse falling out? What was the moment this season turned from a good season into an amazing one? Why is Dan matching with 22 year-olds on Tinder? All will be revealed. COYS.

21 Nov 2016S2 E14 - It's Happened Again00:59:32

This week, Dan is off in Monaco so Tom speaks to Adam Nathan and Phil (@singlemaltsuds) about the glorious de-panting of West Ham in the London Derby. We wonder what West Ham fans think 'happened again' means, why they seem to exist purely to make us feel better, and whether Harry Kane will ever stop scoring against teams from the Capital. We also discuss the brilliant debut of Harry Winks and where he fits in long-term. It's not all roses though, as the skewed formation that simply didn't work for 88 minutes is picked apart piece by piece, including Janssen's inclusion and Son being benched. Dan gives us a brief but sexy update from France, including injury news on big players, and we discuss the Monaco and Chelsea double-header that could define our season already. Is this about revenge? Who on earth is going to play left back? And how many yellows would you like Dier to get this time? #JeSuisSpurs

17 Oct 2016S2, E10 - Party Pooper Pulis00:59:58

This week, Dan is away in Germany so Tom sails the ship alone again, welcoming back pod regulars Oly and Jim to discuss the weekend draw with West Bromwich Albion. Is our poor record against them becoming a bit of a hoodoo? We discuss the slightly sub-par performances of Lamela and Sissoko, the not-yet-worrying form of Vincent Janssen in front of goal, and the impact of Alderweireld's injury. Dan gives us a very brief update from Germany where he is covering the game for ESPN, and the guys back in England discuss our chances out there. Will we see Son return? Who comes in at centre back to partner Jan? All this plus a preview of the trip to Bournemouth early on Saturday, and the usual nonsense that listener questions brings. COYS.

22 Feb 2016S01, E31 - Nabil and the Naughty Step01:04:02

This week, Dan and Tom welcome the return of Cath and Rosa, fresh off the plane from Florence having been present for the draw with Fiorentina. Ryan Mason's captaincy is discussed (as well as Rosa's hysterical meltdown when she found out), as well as if we think a draw is a decent result, Alli being a bit of a nasty b-word and do we really care about the Europa League (we do)? We unfortunately then move onto Palace and in particular, the supposed fall from grace of Nabil Bentaleb. Listeners questions are tackled, including whether the ladies have ever received any grief at White Hart Lane. Know yourself. COYS.

26 Oct 2015S01, E14 - Meeting Martin Jol01:05:21

This week, Dan Kilpatrick and Tom Hayward kick things off with an exclusive interview with Martin Jol (yes, we were just as surprised as you are) before moving on to discussing Anderlecht and Bournemouth. We pick over N'Jie, Tripper and Dembele, as well as facing a Tim Sherwood-less Aston Villa next Monday.

03 Oct 2016S2, E9 - Pep Talk00:56:30

It's an El Classico this week, with Dan returning from Russia to join Tom and discuss his event-free trip to watch the win against CSKA. How impressive a win was it in their brand new stadium, considering so many of our first team were out injured? All of this, of course, is just putting off what we really want to talk about: the absolute rinsing of Man City on Sunday. Three wins in a row against the Champions elect, how seriously can we start taking our title aspirations? Son proves his worth against the best in the league, our defence is unpenetrable and we've got a manager who can out-Pep Pep. It's all looking up. All this plus what we'd do without Spurs, and Dan becomes Frank Underwood. COYS.

21 Dec 2015S01, E22 - Little Drummer COYS01:00:34

This week, Dan and Tom are joined by Sean Walsh and Raph Harris to discuss Spurs getting back to winning ways against Southampton at the weekend. Not for the first time this season, the focus is on Kane, Walker, Lloris and Dembele, and the steely response to last week's loss to Newcastle. Raph tells us about the attitudes to Tottenham Hotspur in his native Brazil, which inevitably includes references to Sandro and Paulinho, who Tom feels particularly strongly about. We also preview the Christmas fixtures against Norwich and Watford, and to finish up we have distinctly festive feeling listener questions. Merry Christmas. COYS.

12 Mar 2016S01, E34 - Dortmund Special00:39:36

A little bit on the side for you all as Dan records a special edition of The Tottenham Way on his way back from Dortmund, complete with pod regular Rich Arrowsmith, pod rival TehTrunk, and Mrs Trunk, Charlotte. While combating hangovers, fatigue and Spurs-related deflation, the four discuss Pochettino's lineup, Dortmund's brilliance and the very serious issues surrounding access to the ground beforehand. Stick with it for TehTrunk's post-apocalyptic dream, which sees Dan take over as Spurs boss for a title showdown. Roll on the zombies. COYS.

14 Mar 2016S01, E35 - Trust The Trust01:36:20

This week, Dan and Tom are joined by Katrina Law and Martin Cloake, co-chairs of the Tottenham Hotspur Supporters Trust. They discuss the incidents outside the stadium in Dortmund which saw many fans crushed and pepper sprayed, and what the Trust are doing to make sure those responsible are held accountable. Aston Villa is covered, including where Kane ranks among the best strikers we've ever had (hint: it's very high), how bleak it must be to be a Villa fan right now, surfing flags, Lescott's new car and Dele Alli being excellent. We also talk about the announcement of the Premier League away ticket £30 price cap, the resistance to this from Spurs at Board level and the process of fan movement against rising costs of following your team. COYS.

16 May 2016S01, E43 - Finale01:20:25

And so here we are, and it wasn't supposed to be this way. Tom and Dan are joined by regulars Jim (@stylishriot) and Oly Lister to firstly pick over just what the hell happened on Sunday against Newcastle and how on earth we finished 3rd, then discuss the season as a whole, which unsurprisingly lifts the mood on the whole. Does Poch need to learn some lessons? What was the moment of the season? What was the turning point? What was the goal of the season? So much to discuss, so little time, so much beer. Thank you all so much for listening this season. COYS.

26 Apr 2016S01, E40 - Face of Defiance00:59:41

Dan and Tom welcome back Alex Brown as we convene to lick our wounds and eat some biscuits. We talk about whether the dream is over (for this year, at least) and why we can still be positive in the face of adversity. We discuss the learning curve this beautiful team has experienced, and what the reaction to West Brom tells us about where Poch has taken us. What can we do differently next season? Why are people insisting on calling us bottlers? Has Hugo under-performed this season? Why do Chelsea even exist? Will we finish the entire plate of biscuits in an hour? Answers within. COYS.

23 Sep 2015S01, E09 - 'Bae Of Pigs'01:00:35

Dan Kilpatrick and Tom Hayward discuss the wins against Qarabag and Palace, and hope for four victories on the bounce against the Scum™ on Wednesday's Capital One Cup clash at the Lane.

They talk Dier (again), Alli (again) and the great start made by Heung-Ming Son. Also referenced: the well-publicised allegation mad against a certain dish-faced person this week. You know the one. #PigGate #BaeOfPigs

14 Dec 2015S01, E21 - Backstage at Hotspur Way01:08:09

This week, Tom and Dan are joined by the ever-excellent Jim (@stylishriot) and Oly Lister to discuss the disappointing loss to Newcastle at the weekend. But before any of that, Oly gives us the details of he and his 17 year old brother Barnaby's visit to Hotspur Way in midweek. Despite suffering from cerebral palsy, Barnaby has aspirations of becoming a football coach, and when the club heard his inspirational story they invited them both to see the players train, as well as meet Poch and his backroom staff. On top of that, they took to the White Hart Lane pitch at half time. Needless to say, Oly has only good things to say about it all.The four pick over the abysmal Newcastle performance but choose to find the positives, and preview Southampton by discussing why it is they hate us so much. Townsend gets the rule run over him, and we get in the mood for Christmas.

08 Feb 2016S01, E29 - Fantastic Mr Full Backs01:01:15

This week, for episode 29 and not 30 as introduced, Tom and Dan are joined by writer and stand up comedian Joey Page to discuss the weekend win against Watford. Without the aid of a running order for the second week in a row, topics twist through Kieran Tripper, Kyle Walker, getting smashed by City, Lewis Holtby (for some reason), Heurelho Gomes and the social status of the guests we invite on. It's a little chaotic, but hey, talking about how great Spurs are gets boring doesn't it? No? #COYS

09 Nov 2015S01, E16 - Falling For Spurs Again01:02:13

This week, Dan and Tom are joined once again by Oly Lister and Jim (@stylishriot) to discuss the (very nearly) gloriously perfect performance away at Woolwich in the NLD, in particular the performances of Kane, Dier, Alderweireld, Dembele and Alli. We analyse Kyle Walker's season so far, as well as preview West Ham (poorly) and answer listener questions as best we can.

19 Nov 2015S01, E17 - Feature Episode - AVB Special01:50:29

Dan and Tom are joined this week by Kev (@BankruptSpurs) and Adam Nathan (@adamdnathan) for another feature length special episode, this time on the reign of Andre Villas Boas. We discuss the difficult transition from the Redknapp years, the emergence of Bale as a genuine world class player, the 'Magnificent Seven' from the summer of 2013 and finally losing his job in December, leading to Tim Sherwood's appointment. Expect some fireworks.

04 Jan 2016S01, E24 - Flogging Kane00:59:56

For the first pod of 2016, Dan Kilpatrick and Tom Hayward return to review the Everton draw and in particular the performances of Tom Carroll and Dele Alli, plus what it all means for Nabil Bentaleb, who seems to be sitting on the Pochettino naughty step. We discuss the constant but essentially unavoidable flogging of an exhausted Harry Kane, the league and FA Cup double-header with Leicester, as well as what moment we'd love to have been present at. Happy new year. COYS.

16 Feb 2016S01. E30 - Peak Poch01:01:31

Dan and Tom are joined by the returning Kev (@bankruptspurs) to work out just what on earth is happening at Tottenham Hotspur right now. We discuss the weekend win at City and the title race, Danny Rose being a right little tinker, Pochettino being a right little thinker, Lamela, Eriksen, and much more. Listener questions are answered, including a desperate search through our collective memories to think of any dodgy refereeing decisions to hugely benefit Spurs. Hint: there haven't been many. COYS.

04 Apr 2016S01, E37 - Tranquilo01:00:19

Dan and Tom return after two weeks off and welcome Sean Walsh and Dan Rattigan on to discuss the weekend draw with Liverpool, following on from the International break where Spurs players featured so heavily. Did the break ruin our momentum, or did it just give our stars a different focus? We talk about our record-breaking Kane and how there are no longer any correct words to describe him. Lamela is missed. Rose is loved. Hugo is fawned over. Lallana is hated. United are previewed - would signing Martial have won us the title? Sean asks a horrible question, we name the stands of the new White Hart Lane and Dan calms Tom down with one word: Tranquilo. COYS.

03 Feb 2016S01, E28 - The T Word01:00:02

This week, Dan and Tom host a free-wheeling episode of The Tottenham Way, with Rich Arrowsmith and Alex Brown returning to help guide the ship. Without the aid of a running order, the four mull over Kane's world class performance in the win against Norwich and what it means for the title race. We mug off Liverpool because it's funny, argue over what a volley is, continue the Pochettino love-in and discuss the closing of the transfer window. Watford is previewed as poorly as expected, and we answer who the best looking manager in the league is; it's Poch vs. Flores. COYS.

12 Apr 2016S01, E38 - You Shape It...01:03:13

Just Dan and Tom this week, casting adoring glances at the weekend victory over Manchester United in which Lamela, Walker and Eriksen shone brightly and made us believe again (sort of). We discuss what has made Eriksen such a dynamic player, why Lamela misses from 3 yards but scores a beauty from 15, how great Dembele is, and all the other aspects of a glorious afternoon at White Hart Lane. Stoke is previewed as poorly as can be expected, despite the best efforts of Tom and his stats, and we dive into some listener questions. Would we be happy retrospectively winning the league? Is this the starting XI we'd want to see on the first game of next season? Who is our Player of the Year? Plus, some references to The Office. Everybody wins. COYS.

05 Dec 2016S2 E16 - Battered Swan01:03:28

Dan and Tom are joined by pod regular Oly Lister to discuss all things Spurs, including Dan's meeting with Ledley King and the weekend dismantling of Swansea, including Dele Alli's blatant dive. Are we happy with this sort of thing, or didn't it matter in the long run? We discuss the form of Kane, Eriksen and Dembele, as well as the return of a familiar 4-2-3-1 formation. We discuss the midweek Europa League playoff with CSKA and the underwhelming Champions League campaign, and the effects it might have on the weekend showdown with Man United. Who is under more pressure in this game, and where does that leave us? Can we knock United out of Champions League contention? Why does Dan love Mourinho? Why is Oly so confident? Why can't Tom argue a simple point? Answers within. COYS.

12 Dec 2016S2 E17 - December Dan00:58:36

Just Tom and and a very morose 'December' Dan this week, so it's an El Classico pod lineup to discuss another disappointing week at Spurs. We quickly remember that we also played CSKA and give our largely pointless reviews of a largely pointless game, before going onto the more pressing matter of the 1-0 loss at Old Trafford on Sunday. Where did the all the belief from the Swansea and CSKA performances go? We talk Kane, Dembele, Rose and Eriksen specifically, but it's the overall mentality that we're most worried about. How do we collectively get over this final hurdle, the biggest hurdle of Pochettino's tenure, of beating these big sides away from home? Is it a simple case of experience, or just personnel? We also take a look at the Europa League draw from Monday morning which sees us face AA Gent in February, the wavering form of Dele Alli since the tail end of last season, and pick ourselves up for a Hull and Burnley double header preview, games which now feel vital to our entire season. Keep the faith. COYS.

19 Dec 2016S2 E18 -Full Flight Fullbacks00:56:41

In the last episode of 2016, Tom and Dan are joined by Sean Walsh to discuss the wins over Hull and Burnley that bring this calendar year at White Hart Lane to a close. The tactical switches in defence are analysed, and we wonder if a three-man defence is the what the future holds. Sissoko's surprising but fruitful return to the team is also mulled over like a good wine, as well as the performance of Harry Winks, the persistent problems with Dembele, the form of Dele Alli and the returning old boys of Hull. All of this, though, is secondary to our gushing over our fabulous full backs Kyle Walker and Danny Rose. Is there anyone better in the league right now? How important is it that we find a system that gets the best out of them, and are their understudies now so far behind that we urgently need upgrades? All of this plus a quick Southampton and Watford preview, and an in-depth look at the squad Christmas party fancy dress photo. Thanks for being with us in 2016. Merry Christmas. COYS.

05 Jan 2017S2 E19 - Dele at the Double01:01:00

Happy New Year to you, and what a way to start 2017, smashing Chelsea all over the shop at White Hart Lane under the lights. As is tradition, Tom and Dan are joined by Chelsea's ESPN correspondent Liam Twomey who finally comes on the podcast on the losing side. The guys pick over the tight and at times tetchy London derby, including a fascinating battle in midfield and between the full backs, but of course Dele Alli's third brace in as many games is most prominent. The kid is on fire - will he carry this on and become a Premier League great, like so many others he is currently emulating at his age? WHat is behind his rapid surge in form? Other points of note: the back 3, Wanyama blossoming, and Eriksen the magician. We move on to preview Aston Villa and discuss how we feel about the competition now we've put ourselves into some sort of contention for the league. Will we make the same decision - and perhaps mistakes - as last season? All this plus listener questions, including transfer window talk. 2017: the year of Spurs. COYS.

10 Jan 2017S2 E20 - Poch vs The Cups00:54:03

Dan and Tom are joined by Jim (@stylishriot) for a chat about the FA Cup win against Aston Villa which sees us face Wycombe in the next round. Are easy home draws the only way Poch will take it seriously, and when does he have to accept that we have a chance of winning it and start playing the first team? We talk youngsters, with Winks and Carter-Vickers putting in promising performances, but there are serious concerns about Vincent Janssen. What does he need to do to turn this round? We move on to West Brom, with Tony Pulis rolling back into town with a view to spoiling another party. Will the Baggies hold us again, or are we hitting form just at the right time? Do we stick with 3-4-3? All this plus chats about cups, transfers, Jermaine Jenas and United's derisory £50m interest in Danny Rose and Kyle Walker. Double it and you're still nowhere near, Jose. COYS.

16 Jan 2017S2 E21 - Poch Preps for Pep01:19:27

Dan is ever so ill this week, so Tom is joined by pod regular and Goal.com journalist Harry Sherlock and debutant Alex (@biscuitbeck) to discuss the weekend dismantling of West Brom. But first, we pick apart another hilarious week at West Ham. Do we underestimate Levy as a chairman, considering how things could be with absolute imbeciles in charge? We discuss the glory to be found in breaking the West Brom hoodoo, including the roles of Kane, Alli, Eriksen and our brilliant defence. Is creating this system for our players the best thing to happen to Spurs in years? Would we continue using it even without Vertonghen, especially with City on the horizon? Where does this leave the likes of Lamela, Sissoko and Son? All of this plus an optimistic Man City preview, including the rivalry since 2009 and how our record stands up against them and the other title challengers. Listener questions to finish as usual, including who we couldn't exist without, whether Pochettino can match the Bill Nick dynasty, and why we love Tottenham. COYS.

23 Jan 2017S2 E22 - Getting Away With It00:57:47

This week, Dan and Tom are joined by Ben Pearce, Sports editor and Spurs reporter for the Ham & High newspaper and at the heart of all things Spurs for the best part of a decade. He tells us about early days of Mason, Kane and other youngsters, and his years covering the club under various managers, from Ramos to Pochettino. The guys pick over the weekend half-smash & half-grab at Man City, where we were dominated but defiant. How on earth did we dig ourselves out of that hole, and what does it say about us as title contenders? We look at the issue in defence where Vertonghen was badly missed, and the incredible contribution of Victor Wanyama. We look at the performances of Harry Kane in the 'big' games, and why criticism is unfair, as well as the virtues of having a player like Son on the bench. We then look forward to Wycombe in the FA Cup and ask what Pochettino could have done for a player like Huddlestone. This episode goes out to Ryan Mason, an ex-Spur who was badly injured at the weekend playing for Hull. One of our own. COYS.

02 Feb 2017S2 E23 - Sloppy Spurs01:00:47

This week, Dan and Tom are joined by pod regular Oly Lister to discuss a weird week at Spurs. We start with the Cup win against Wycombe, a game that made Dan think a few at Spurs are on borrowed time. Where does that performance, coupled with our progress in the cups, leave some of the fringe squad? We discuss the future of Nkoudou, Vorm, Trippier, Davies, Janssen, Son and Wimmer, but most notably young Josh Onomah. We move on to Sunderland and an insipid and stunted performance. What could we have done differently, and was it just one of those games? Is the biggest problem not the first team, but our inability to change things from the bench? What the hell are we going to do without Danny Rose? We move onto the transfer windows past and present and take a trip down memory lane with Alli, van der Vaart and Crouchie. Be warned, we got a bit drunk and sloppy, perhaps in honour of our last two performances. Enjoy the meandering. COYS.

07 Feb 2017S2 E24 - Anfield Awaits01:01:54

It's an El Classico pod this week, with Dan and Tom sailing alone. We start with a chat about Kane, whom Dan met for an ESPN interview, on his growing maturity and status as a Spurs spokesperson. We move on to Boro, who provided stern but meek opposition at the weekend. How did we cope without Rose? Is White Hart Lane a more patient crowd now? Does a win prove any title credentials? We then look ahead to Liverpool at Anfield in the evening kick off on Saturday, and wonder if their terrible form in 2017 can be a springboard for us to achieve our first win away from home against the top 6 this season. What should we expect from Klopp's team? Is this a good time to be playing them? We then do some listener questions, including a classic Dan KillyP story that makes Tom cry. Enjoy. COYS.

13 Feb 2017S2 E25 - A Mane Mauling00:59:24

The studio is out of action this week so the podcast retreats to Dan's new bedroom for a sobering discussion post-Liverpool. The guys are joined by Alex Brown, who first gives us an idea of what a Talksport show looks like between the hours of 1am and 6am. Is Alex the Alan Partridge of football radio? We move on to Anfield, and a disastrous first half from which we never recovered, with Ben Davies in particular getting a torrid time. Our record is terrible away against the top 6, so we look at why this is and what we can do to arrest the record. Is it purely back luck with injuries this season? Where does responsibility lie within the club? We also ask if the title is truly done, and whether this might feed into the way we approach an important week in the cups. With three games over two competitions coming up, what sort of teams can we expect? Will Poch see these competitions as an opportunity to end a slightly stuttering season with glory? We preview Gent and Fulham with this in mind, and also raise some listener questions about Lloris. Time to dig in. COYS.

20 Feb 2017S2 E26 - Home From Home00:57:45

Just Dan and Tom again this week in an El Classico podcast. We get stuck into Gent and the (lack of) reaction to losing at Anfield, and why a sluggish Tottenham need to snap out of their European slumber. A strong team suggests Poch might start taking the competition seriously, but what went wrong in Belgium? What would be do in the second leg, with a return to Wembley proving another hurdle for a stuttering team. Speaking of which, the FA Cup win over Fulham moves us closer to a potential Wembley semi final, with Millwall standing in the way. Did the line up and performance give us hope that we could go all the way? What now for the fringe players who didn't get a look in against lesser opposition? Do these favourable home draws pave the way to glory, and where does the rapidly improving Harry Winks fit into all this? All this ,plus: could you handle a possible FA Cup final against Arsenal, in what could possibly be Arsene Wenger's last ever game as boss of the scum? Time to make Wembley home. COYS.

27 Feb 2017S2 E27 - Kane Reigns01:16:49

There's no Dan this week, but we have two podcast stalwarts in his place in Jack 'TehTrunk' Hussey from Rule the Roost and Oly Lister from behind the bike sheds. We start with the disappointing exit from Europe and the role Dele Alli's read card played in our downfall. How do we feel about that 'edge' to Alli's game? Was that the only reason for our European failure? And what do we do about our issues at Wembley? We move onto Stoke, and the glorious dismantlement of Mark Hughes' jobbers. We discuss the formation without Rose, but really the big talk is about Kane once again. He's the best, and we love him, and we hope this comes across. We close with some reasons to be cheerful. COYS.

06 Mar 2017S2 E28 - The Intangible00:59:50

Tom welcomes Dan back from his holiday in Thailand to discuss a record breaking ninth-straight home win for our impressive Spurs. The 3-4-3 has made a comeback recently despite the absence of Danny Rose, and with results like this, was Pochettino perhaps a bit too hasty in binning it off when the injuries piled up? We move onto Kane, the statistical miracle. The numbers don't lie, but we discuss how much more he us, the intangible qualities he brings to us every single game. Will he break records for us? And just how much longer will he not be rated by all corners? We then talk about our remaining fixtures, stopping short of full-blown predictions, but point towards the key periods in our bid to finish as strongly as possible. The home records is also discussed, with Dan considering it now a point of honour and pride for Poch to end the last season at White Hart Lane unbeaten. We also pick over Millwall a bit, and do some listener questions to finish. Who, right now, out of Arsenal and Spurs is the more attractive club for an incoming manager? Spoiler: it's us. COYS.

13 Mar 2017S2 E29 - We Can't Have Nice Things00:57:02

Dan and Tom are not in the studio this week, so apologies for the scratchy sound, but the content is still fire emoji as ever. They discuss the weekend dismantling of Millwall, which despite the high scoring always contained a tinge of frustration with Harry Kane's early injury. We all know how bad this will be, but just what can we expect from the inevitable few weeks that our talisman is out? Will Son step up, or will Janssen's goal pave the way for a few starts for him? Or maybe Alli can provide all the goal-scoring that we need? We also discuss the FA Cup semi final draw, and who we want vs who will want us. We move onto Southampton, with the visitors having not much to play for apart from fancying a decent scalp. Can we survive without Kane and Rose? And, crucially, who would Tom take from the Southampton team, because we know you're all wondering? Finally, would you wear an Arsenal shirt for charity? COYS

20 Mar 2017S2 E30 - Dele Steps Up00:58:41

Dan and Tom are joined by Adam Nathan, here to bring you his fresh controversial views (sort of). We start with a quick look at the FA Cup semi final draw which sees us play Chelsea, yet again, at Wembley. Can the rumours suggesting Vorm will play be true, and if so, how much does that harm our chances? We move on to Southampton, and a nervy but crucial victory, particularly without Kane. Did we see any promise that we will fair better this time around without our top scorer and talisman? And if we do, how much will we owe the increasingly influential Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen? We look at Alderweireld, Winks and Vertonghen too. It's international week, so we take a swipe at the schedule and wonder whether our form can survive a break. Burnley is previewed, with some not so fond memories included, and listener questions are answered including whether or not this is Vertonghen's best season to date. COYS.

04 Apr 2017S2 E31 - The Chase Is On01:04:00

We're back! This week, Tom and Dan are joined by Greg Stobart, who begins the episode with some personal career news and why he's fallen out of love with football journalism. We talk about how a dream job becomes 'just another job', which is something for Dan to really look forward to.

We move onto Burnley, and a win that sees the title race blown wide open (sort of). Can we do it? What will we have learned from last season's fruitless pursuit of Leicester? And should we continue to keep an eye on things below us, knowing how we imploded last May? We talk Dier, the unsung hero of the season and a victim of his own versatility. Can we afford to lose him to United? Plus Alli's continued dominance, Son being the league's best squad man, and Winks and Wanyama injury updates.

We preview Swansea and Watford, with an eye on some old boys possibly coming back to haunt us, including Tommy Carroll who gets his weekly podcast mention.

Two wins could see us go a point behind Chelsea by Saturday 3pm. Believe. COYS.

10 Apr 2017S2 E32 - Marching On00:53:08

An El Classico (again) this week, and Dan and Tom are left to relive the amazing scenes at Swansea and what that fightback symbolises about this Tottenham team, as well as the routine home win against Watford.

With 3 wins in a week, we discuss the amazing contributions of Son, Eriksen and Alli in Kane's absence and how the supporting cast graduated to the lead role without incident. Alli, in particular, is turning into a superstar, so what's behind his success? And how long can we realistically keep him if he's doing this every week...?

Thoughts turn to Bournemouth, who are next to face the animal of Spurs at White Hart Lane and the chance to reach twelve home wins in a row. Will Kane return and, if so, who do you drop for him?

We finish with a discussion on Luke Shaw, prompting talk of Mourinho vs Pochettino and the polarity in their methods. Is the managerial torch being passed? Plus a question from an ACTUAL MAYOR OF A TOWN. Big time. COYS.

18 Apr 2017S2 E33 - Double Dreaming00:56:34

A giddy Dan and Tom are joined by the excellent Tom Allnut to smash straight into the title talk. There's no escaping it; we;re in it, but can we win it? We talk Chelsea nerves, important games and psychological edges.

We discuss Bournemouth and the return to the score sheet for Mousa Dembele, as well as the statistical miracle of Harry Kane, who's hit 20 for the third straight season. Also Janssen's first goal, and Wilshere's injury. Was it all a bit much, or completely in keeping with the rivalry?

Thoughts turn to the Cup semi-final, and ramifications of the result on the title run-in. We also work out what to do with Son, who is on fire but is the obvious one to lift out to match Chelsea's 3-4-3 formation. Could you tell his little sad face that he wasn't playing? Could you?? Also Tom asks if Vorm have a big fake injury...

It's going to be a long month. Enjoy it. Drink it in. COYS.

24 Apr 2017S2 E34 - The Brick Wall01:13:06

A bumper episode this week, as Dan and Tom are joined by Liam Twomey, as usual after we face Chelsea, and it's a pod debut for Crystal Palace fan and journalist Greg Lea, here to preview a big week ahead for Spurs.

We begin with the sad news of Ugo Ehiogu passing away, and how big a hole he leaves at the club, before moving onto Wembley. Where did we go wrong? Did Pochettino experiment and did it completely backfire? And how ridiculous was the difference between the two benches on the day?

Thoughts turn to Palace and a chance to bounce back quickly, and Greg gives us the lowdown on their brilliant recent form. Can we get back in the saddle ahead of the North London Derby this weekend? Speaking of which, oh my good god it's the North London Derby this weekend and we have a chat about that too.

All this plus some listener questions, and an incredible revelation from Liam involving a Premier League mascot and one of the biggest selling bands in the world today. It blew our minds.

Don't panic. COYS.

02 May 2017S2 E35 - Mind The Gap00:56:32

This week, this glorious glorious week, Dan and Tom are joined by old podcast favourite Harry Sherlock to discuss Spurs finally - FINALLY - lifting the curse of St Totteringham's Day. How did we feel watching us demolish a sorry excuse of an Arsenal side in the last North London Derby at our old ground?

We ask where the game itself was won and lost, including the imposing performance of Victor Wanyama and the increasing influence of Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli.

Sadly, we have to address the issue of Kyle Walker, who has for some reason decided to jump ship from the Tottenham project. What drives a decision like that, and where could he get it any better than he has now?

We preview West Ham and our 4th London derby in a row, with a listing Hammers side in terrible form. This plus some listener questions.

Don't let anyone tell you not to enjoy this feeling. Finally. Glory. COYS.

09 May 2017S2 E36 - Bags Packed00:56:22

This week, a very weary Tom is joined in his flat by Dan to discuss the disappointing loss to a horribly gleeful West Ham, and why we cannot afford another disastrous run to end our season this time around. Are the players 'on the beach' having confirmed our top 4 place, and did they ever really believe they would catch Chelsea? And what do we think of the 'bottlers' tag that Spurs have been assigned?

Of course, the big talking point this week is the how the end is in sight for White Hart Lane. How are we feeling about it, and what do we expect from a Mourinho team who would love to spoil the party? What do we need to do to ensure our season at Wembley stands a chance of holding a candle to this campaign? And who would we put in the stocks to have rotten food thrown at them for the parade after the final whistle?

Lots more including Walker, Lloris, Dier and Levy, and a bit of Belgian chocolate. Time to say goodbye. COYS.

15 May 2017S2 E37 - Farewell The Lane01:01:34

This week, Tom and Dan are joined by Ben Schiffer, 21 years a season ticket holder and ready to join us in mourning at the loss of our great old beautiful ground, White Hart Lane.

We get straight down to business, the glorious scenes from before, during and after the game, with legends and fans taking to the pitch in a show of pure emotion.

There doesn't feel like anything more to say, so have a listen to us reminisce over our favourite goals, players and moments from over the years. If you ever set foot inside that stadium as a Spurs fan, you'd understand.

We are Tottenham, super Tottenham, we are Tottenham, from the Lane. And we always will be. COYS.

23 May 2017S2 E38 - #ThePodTheFinale01:13:37

It's the last episode of the season, and Tom and Dan are joined by old friends of the podcast Jim and Oly to talk about a ridiculous week where this beautiful team spanked 13 goals past actual Premier League teams. Does how we ended the season put to bed the criticism of Poch? Seven of those thirteen goals came from Harry Kane, helping him win the Golden Boot for a second season in a row - who can we put him up alongside in world football? How lucky are we to have him, and perhaps how unlucky were we to lose him to injury this season?

We move on to a full season review, assessing how we feel we did in the league and cups. Why did we challenge for, but not win, the Premier League for a second season, and what do we need to do to take that final step? We also pick our favourite goals, games and moments from a memorable campaign.

Dan brings a 'quiz' along for some end of season fun, but overall, we just got a bit drunk in a boiling hot recording studio and acted like it was the last day of school before summer holidays. It's been great, and thank you for joining us. See you next season. COYS.

10 Jul 2017Summer Special - Episode 101:05:57

We're here for a Summer special!

Tom and Dan are joined by Greg Stobart and Gerry Cox, two journalism big-hitters here to discuss how following Spurs from the press box has changed since the 90's. Gerry tells us many a tale, including drinking on the plane to Uefa Cup games, seeing Steve Carr ruin one of his on-the-whistle reports, George Graham's media training and accidentally driving 2 hours to Belgium. He's not one to miss.

We move onto our summer transfer activity, or indeed lack of, and wonder what is needed to combat our Wembley woes. How will Pochettino approach the season? Is Walker not 'one of the boys'? Do we rate Trippier highly enough? All this plus Facebook taking over Spurs.

These summer specials have been made possible by Harry's, a US shaving company making their way over to the UK to pass their amazing savings onto you. To support The Tottenham Way and Harry's, visit www.harrys.com/tottenham to claim your trial set.

28 Jul 2017Summer Special - Episode 201:10:57

Daaaaaaaaaaaan in the USAAAAAAAAAAA!

Yes, Dan is out in the US covering Spurs' pre-season tour of the States, but we'll be damned if that's going to stop us releasing our second Summer special podcast.

Deep in a hot and sweaty pub basement, Dan is joined by pod favourite Ben Pearce and Cartilage Free Captain writers Greg and Vince to discuss matters from pre-season so far, including the late loss to Roma and the youngsters involved so far. ALso plenty on transfers and the new season being right on our doorstep.

If you've enjoyed these Summer specials then please do help support us and Harry's by going to Harrys.com/Tottenham, as they have made it all possible.

07 Aug 2017S3 E1 - Start 'er Up00:50:44

We start season 3 as we finished season 2, slightly worse for wear with booze and discussing Tottenham with Jim (@stylishriot) and Oly Lister. We talk about pre-season and how it's set us up for the new season, half-empty Wembley and our complete lack of right backs. How do we prepare for life without Kieran Trippier, and how depressing a sentence is that to say?

We also talk transfer activity, or lack of, and why value in the market is currently superseding necessity. What shape is the squad in to tackle what could be our most important, but difficult, season to date under Pochettino? Will Wembley play as big a part as we fear? And is this the season that will be the making of Sissoko?

14 Aug 2017S3 E2 - Ant Knee Marshall01:04:45

We're joined by old podder Dan Rattigan this week, to discuss the professional start to the season away at St James' Park; a great result considering the supposed 'unrest' at Spurs this week. We discuss the excellent Eriksen, Alli and Dembele, and talk about the great Kyle Walker-Peters debut.

Inevitably, we discuss Danny Rose and that interview last week, including the knock-on effects of his honesty and where the fanbase might now sit with one of our best players. How does the transfer window look now he's said what he's said? Will he be accepted back by the fans now he's openly criticised the club, or will he be seen as another Kyle Walker?

We talk Chelsea, and if this is the best time to play them, plus some transfer rumours and likely goings on before the window shuts.

COYS.

21 Aug 2017S3 E3 - Woe at Wembley00:57:10

This week, like after every Chelsea game, we are joined ESPN's Chelsea correspondent Liam Twomey to pick over another disappointing result at the National Stadium. We start by likening Spurs to Andy Roddick, and it doesn't get much better from that.

What is the problem? Was it luck, tactics, or simply the Wembley factor? Liam talks about Conte's master plan to stop us and if it might serve as a blueprint for other teams.

We talk about underwhelming performances from Wanyama, Trippier and Lloris, as well as the confusing dynamic between Eriksen and Alli after so much success in previous games against the Blues.

We move onto Davinson Sanchez and what he might bring to the team, plus the Champions League draw in midweek and Burnley at Wembley at the weekend. Can they do to us what they did to Chelsea on the opening day? What way will Wembley's pendulum swing this time?

We're sponsored this season by Harry's, the US shaving company making their way over to the UK. Get your trial set and support The Tottenham Way by going to Harrys.com/tottenham.

29 Aug 2017S3 E4 - The Curse Continues00:41:51

As Tom recovers from his wedding over the weekend, Dan takes up hosting duties and welcomes seasoned podder Jack Hussey (@tehTrunk) to discuss the grossly disappointing late draw with Burnley on Sunday.

Unlike Tom and his new bride, Spurs and Wembley simply can't seem to get their relationship off the ground. What can we do to stop this becoming a crisis? Will Spurs be able to shake off the nerves and ill-feeling before they welcome Europe's finest in Real Madrid and Dortmund in the Champions League?

Thoughts move on to the transfer window, with Serge Aurier causing all sorts of divides across the fanbase. Do people deserve their second chance, and what does the prism of football do to characters like him? We also talk Foyth and other targets, with just a week left of the window.

Remember we are sponsored by Harry's all season, the US shaving company making their impact over in the UK. To get your trial set for just £2.95, go to Harrys.com/Tottenham and help support the pod.

01 Sep 2017Transfer Window Special00:34:38

With presenter Tom Hayward still selfishly on his honeymoon, Dan Kilpatrick was joined by the Press Association's Tottenham reporter Tom Allnutt, himself newly married, to discuss Spurs' summer transfer window – in a booth at Wetherspoons.

Following more Deadline Day drama, we discuss what happened and what didn't happen yesterday, and during the window, and question whether Spurs are stronger for it.

Plus, do the signings of Aurier and Llorente mark a softening of Pochettino's approach? What does the future hold for Dier and Alderweireld? And is Paulo Gazzaniga the signing of the century?

11 Sep 2017S3 E6 - The 100 Club01:00:02

Tom returns from selfishly having his wedding and honeymoon to join Dan and special guest Jonathan Shainin, Spurs fan and editor of Guardian Longreads. We start with a chat about longread journalism and why it is so successful, and what would make a good Tottenham long read; Pochettino or Levy?

We move onto the surprisingly routine victory away to Everton on Saturday, with Kane reaching his 100th (and 101st) goals for the club. What have been our favourites so far? We also discuss Davinson slotting straight in, Ben Davies taking responsibility and Christian Eriksen continuing to be the player of 2017 so far.

We move on to Dortmund and the Champions League, with an opportunity to show that lessons have been learned on the biggest stage against Europe's finest. How do we manage without Alli, suspended for half the group stage? Will Wembley again be a factor?

We also discuss Swansea, the club against whom we've played 12 times in the Premier League and only ever dropped 4 points. So, there's some nice tempting of fate all round.

This season we are sponsored by Harry's, the US shaving company making a big impact here in the UK. You can help support The Tottenham Way and keep this content free by signing up at Harrys.com/Tottenham and claiming your trial set for just £2.95.

18 Sep 2017S3 E7 - The Poch Enigma00:56:43

This week, Dan and Tom are joined by Sean Walsh, returning to tell us a few tales of being 'on the job' for ESPN and Crystal Palace this summer.

We discuss the epic victory over Dortmund (09m55s), including the tactical accident of playing without the ball. Did Son's inclusion make all the difference? Will we see a more counter attacking set up against the bigger teams at Wembley going forward?

We're brought crashing back to earth with Swansea (23m45s), and another disappointing league result. Why did Poch tinker with the team that played Dortmund, and what can we do differently? Is Poch to blame as much as any Wembley curse?

Barnsley is dissected, including who we think we might see (35m02s) and what we can gain from the League Cup. Again, we question the logic of Poch essentially admitting to throwing this competition, with the club and the fans so starved of success.

Thoughts turn to West Ham, and a potentially tricky away fixture (48m10s) against a team who love beating us. Will it being a lunchtime kick off have an affect?

All topped off with some listener questions.

26 Sep 2017S3 E8 - Great Kane00:59:38

This week, Tom and Dan are recording in Tom's living room having just watched the APOEL game live and prepared to give some hot takes straight on the back of our glorious victory. There really is only one place to start and that's with Harry Kane, the man who continues to take Europe by storm. That's 5 goals in the Champions League this season, and it looks like there will be plenty more.

We also discuss West Ham, where of course Kane was instrumental once again, but also the contributions of Alli, Eriksen, Sissoko and Vertonghen, plus a chat about Aurier and any concerns we may have after his rash sending off.

We also have a quick chat about Huddersfield but, spoiler alert, we know nothing about Huddersfield. Sorry.

16 Oct 2017S3 Ep9: Business Time01:00:39

Tom and Dan return after illness and covering England -- both equally energy-sapping -- respectively to discuss Bournemouth (meh), Real Madrid (ARRRGHHHH!) and Liverpool (errrrr) over an exotic beer.

(1m15s) We discuss whether Poch's rant at Pep was a sign of irritation, clever mind-games or both, plus Levy's desire to keep him at Spurs for the next 10 to 15 years.

(13m59s) Tom dishes out the Christian Eriksen stats after another decisive performance from the playmaker on Saturday and Dan wonders if Kane is being more selfish than usual as his Wembley drought in the league continued.

(26m50s) Danny Rose's shock return is assessed along with Poch's selection headache at the Bernabeu and we find it harder than we thought to name our combined squad from the 2011 Champions League team and this current crop.

(45m10s) Finally we look ahead to Liverpool -- has Klopp got the edge over Poch? -- plus our daunting run of fixtures over the next 6 weeks. To finish off, we look back at our pre-season predictions as we edge towards a third of the season gone.

23 Oct 2017S3 Ep10: Spurs Arrive01:02:06

This week, Dan has invited his Liverpool-supporting friend George onto the podcast to discuss - or argue over - the weekend mauling of Liverpool, our first win over the Reds in 10 games.

After a quick discussion about George's experience of being a fan at Wembley (1m15s), we of course have to start with our heroic but completely warranted point away at Real Madrid (7m14s). What did we think of Pochettino's surprise line-up? Is Winks the second coming of Modric? And where does this leave Spurs in terms of our status on the European stage?

We move onto Liverpool and the gradual dismantling of Klopp's laughable defence (15m20s). Dan and George argue over the targeting of Liverpool's defence, and whether it was a deliberate plan of Pochettino or merely terrible individual errors. What indication was the game of where Spurs and Liverpool both are? Was this the statement win we were looking for at Wembley?

Thoughts turn to West Ham (40m15s) and who we are likely to start, in particular in midfield where numbers are short. The big talking point is the return of Lamela after a year out, and Tom and Dan stake their claims for and against his place in the team going forward.

We finish with a preview of Man United, with us travelling to Old Trafford in good form (46m50s). Will we face a United side looking for a backlash after a disappointing two weeks, or can we continue our momentum?

Listener questions include what does Jordan Henderson do, plus Kane's likelihood of going to Madrid. Enjoy. COYS.

30 Oct 2017S3 Ep11: Brave New World, with Guillem Balague00:43:06

A special episode this week as Dan sits down with Guillem Balague, author of 'Brave New World: Inside Pochettino's Spurs', a fascinating look at how our manager has transformed our club since joining in 2014.

There's also a little Real Madrid preview, and we're not sorry to say that we skipped the analysis of the disasters against West Ham and Manchester United.

06 Nov 2017S3 Ep12: Dembelievers Return00:58:41

This week, Dan is being a dirty stinking flounce and has left Tom in charge, but fear not as it's the return of the original Dembelievers Cath and Rosa, here to set the Spurs world to rights in their unique way.

We begin with a chat about Dembele and his fitness issues, and whether his beasting of Sergio Ramos will be his seasonal high point. Leading nicely into the Real Madrid game, how does it rank in our all-time performances and results? Does it feel like we've really arrived at Wembley now, or did it make us pine for White Hart Lane even more? Alli, Kane, Vertonghen and Trippier all mulled over too.

We move onto the international break and our English lads pulling out of the squad. Can Poch now pull rank, or does his pride take over? And what is causing all our injury problems lately, can we simply blame the big Wembley pitch?

We move onto Palace, and a tough but ultimately warranted victory over the bottom of the table club. Son - underrated or continuing source of frustration? Have we fully forgiven Rose? And what on earth to make of Gazzaniga in goal?

We finish with a couple of listener questions, including what it's like to raise the next generation of Spurs fans. It's a cracker this week. COYS.

20 Nov 2017S3 Ep13: Post Mortem00:57:57

Dan and Tom are joined this week by Luke Brown, writer for the Independent and Spurs fan who suffered along with us all on Saturday. Before we get to that horror, we ask Luke to elaborate on his excellent interview with Tim Sherwood, which raised some old questions about what influence he has had on the club as it stands now. Minimal, or does he have a point?

Sadly, we have to discuss the derby defeat, which saw us go down to Arsenal for the first time in 7 league games. What went wrong? Was it a crime of passion, intelligence, tactics or otherwise? Can we blame injuries and fitness, or were we just merely beaten by the better team?

We move on to Dortmund, and a daunting if somewhat pressure-free fixture against prestigious opposition. Is this the perfect game to bounce back with? Or should we be concerned of an ongoing confidence issue?

Newly manager-less West Brom also get an airing, and the type of game we can expect if they get a certain Sam Allardyce - or perhaps even Sherwood himself - in before Saturday.

Chins up, everyone. COYS

27 Nov 2017S3 Ep14: Waste of Time00:39:56

Another week, another disappointing Spurs result, although this time it came via an outstanding victory away to Dortmund in the Champions League, ensuring we finish top of our group with a game to spare, ahead of the Germans and reigning champions Real Madrid.

With this in mind, why exactly CAN WE NOT BEAT WEST BROMWICH BLOODY ALBION??

Dan Kilpatrick and Tom Allnut head to the pub to discuss the see-saw life of a Spurs fan at the moment, while discussing Son, Kane, Rose and Ben Foster.

Onwards. COYS.

04 Dec 2017S3 Ep15: Crisis Talks00:49:37

This week, Tom and Dan discuss the slump in form that has followed Spurs around like a bad smell for a month. Luck, judgement or something more sinister?

We cover the FA Cup draw, Clattenberg making a name for himself, unhappy Alli and Davey Sanchez's elbows.

Keep the faith and all that. COYS.

07 Jan 2018S3 E16 - Not So Jan-uary Blues00:49:02

Here we are, back for the first episode of 2018 after our Christmas breaks. And what a Christmas period it was for Spurs.

First port of call is the FA Cup, where Dan is fresh from attending and keen to discuss a few talking points, such as Kane, Sissoko, Llorente, Foyth and Son. Of course, Vertonghen getting back amongst the goals also comes up.

We go over the busy week that saw us face Swansea and West Ham in quick succession, and where the period leaves us going into the new year.

Bit of chat about the newly opened transfer window, plus an Everton preview, where Tom is oddly confident.

Happy New Year. COYS.

17 Jan 2018S3 E17 - Saints and Sinners01:02:39

Dan and Tom are joined by Jack Rosser, Spurs correspondent for Evening Standard online and Southampton fan, here to discuss the upcoming fixture on the south coast.

It's been 5 years since Pochettino first turned up on these shores as a relative unknown at St Mary's, so we start with a look at his half-decade in England. Did Jack think he would ever be as successful as he has been?

We talk loans for Nkoudou and Edwards, as well as Carter-Vickers returning from Sheffield United. Everton reviewed, including Son and Aurier, Kane the perpetual record breaker and an fantastic team goal.

New contracts, all over the shop, before a proper preview of our game against a struggling Saints side. Spoiler: Jack is NOT confident.

We end with some stadium talk, as Jack describes the move from The Dell to St Mary's back in 2001, and what it potentially does to a fanbase.

Lots to discuss. COYS

22 Jan 2018S3 E18 - Debbie Downers00:54:25

Dan and Tom pick over the bones of our 1-1 draw with Southampton at St Mary's on Sunday - a trip that started badly when Dan tried to catch an imaginary train.

The squad was hit by the flu during the week - leaving Eriksen and Lloris incapacitated and unable to play - and while Pochettino may not be using it as an excuse, should we be? How damaging to our Top 4 hopes was the result? And how far is the Sissoko hate really warranted?

Thoughts turn to Newport, and a chance to progress in a competition that may be our best chance of success this season. Will Poch change his approach to the competition? What do we know of Newport? (the answer is next to nothing)

Some transfer talk, then some listener questions. Chin up. COYS.

02 Feb 2018S3 E19 - The Two Ronnies00:56:23

This week, Dan begins with the absurd revelation that he watched The Two Ronnies for the first time ever, much to Tom's disbelief.

We move onto Lucas Moura, our new signing who Poch has said we shouldn't expect much from straight away. How true do we believe this to be?

We do actually talk about football, and the outstanding win against Man United at Wembley. Kane, Trippier, Son, Eriksen and Dembele are all bigged up, and we discuss the kick-off routine that led to our opening goal after 10 seconds.

Liverpool at Anfield is previewed with a mix of excitement and trepidation; can we buck the trend of our away results against the top 6? And what approach is best against a dangerous but leaky Liverpool side?

We finish by asking what our best formation is, and what team would win the PL if they could only field an XI made up of their one best player. Spoiler: we probably still come 2nd.

COYS.

05 Feb 2018S3 E20 - Salty Towers01:01:31

This week, Tom and Dan have invited back George Baggaley, the salty Liverpool fan we brought on earlier in the season, and Conor Mummery, Mirror Football Social Media Editor, to discuss the pulsating and controversial draw at Anfield.

We discuss penalties, Salah, Dier and the weird diamond, and Poch in the big games. Wanyama's piledriver. Kane's balls.

We briefly touch on Newport before moving onto the North London Derby, with a new-look Arsenal rolling into Wembley.

A big week is about to get bigger. COYS

12 Feb 2018S3 E21 - Derby Domination00:56:53

This week, Dan is in Turin ahead of our Champions League Round of 16 first leg tie against Juventus so Tom is joined by pod regulars Oly and Rosa, here for their first ever joint podcast.

We have to start with the Derby and the dominant display that should have yielded more than the 1-0 win we came away with. Dembele ran the show, and we wonder if he's ever had a better 10 days in a Spurs shirt. Kane and his legendary status, Davies and his huge improvement, and Lamela taking Wilshere for a walk.

We have a brief update from Dan from Italy immediately after the Pochettino press conference, before discussing the tie in more detail. Should we be confident? Are we knackered? Does Poch really believe we can win it?

Derby Day Delights. COYS.

19 Feb 2018S3 E22 - What Have We Won?00:56:27

Tom and Dan and are joined this week by Sean Walsh, our trusty Tottenham Way apprentice (and leading Tweeter) discuss Spurs going from a sublime 2-2 in Turin to a ridiculous 2-2 draw in Greater Manchester.

We start with a discussion over which Spurs players, past or present, would most likely steal a taxi in Barcelona, before moving on to the stunning draw at Juventus, including what it means to be 'new Spurs'. Pochettino's love for the Champions League, Italy's press gunning for Davies and Aurier, and Dembele running the show for the third week running.

Rochdale needs looking at, and why we can't get ourselves motivated for these games. A full 11 changes to the team from Turin, did this slow us down? Why aren't the players fighting to get out of that reserve side?

Finish on a couple of listener questions, including what we have personally ever won. Between us, it's not a lot.

COYS.

26 Feb 2018S3 E23 - Divey Alli?00:56:07

Tom and Dan are joined by Greg Lea, writer for The Set Pieces and Crystal Palace fan to discuss the scrappy, late and important win at Selhurst Park this weekend.

Kane's numbers grow, Aurier can't take a throw (three times) and Dier fills in perfectly, but it's Alli who we study at length, in light of Lineker and Shearer taking digs at his supposed diving. Is it a fair criticism? Will it affect him at all to have the label the rest of his career?

Some Rochdale, before some important updates from THST after their meeting with the board last week.

We keep rolling on. COYS.

13 Mar 2018S3 E24 - Glorious Hindsight00:49:44

El Classico this week, just Tom and Dan to talk through the gutting Juventus loss and what it means for this developing team.

We start with Kane's injury though, and what changes will need to be made to accommodate his absence from the side.

Juventus is covered, including the little tricks that Spurs will have to learn along the way if we are to ever compete at the same level.

Kane's injury left room for Son to shine once again, and we wonder why he's exploded this season, and our prospects with him deputising for Kane. Also Rose, Aurier and Lamela.

Tickets prices for the New White Hart Lane, Swansea in the cup, and Mini Eggs. COYS

19 Mar 2018S3 E25 - Ellen Dangeneres00:52:04

El Classico this week, Tom and Dan picking over the FA Cup quarter final win over Swansea which paved the way for our semi-final meeting with Man United.

Do we consider Wembley as an advantage, having spent what feels like an eternity getting over the 'Wembley Curse'? And what can we expect from Mourinho?

Swansea is reviewed, with attention paid to Vorm, Eriksen and Lamela, with a little touch of Sissoko, who apparently Firmino loves. Don't ask.

Some chat on season tickets again, plus Shaw vs Rose.

COYS.

03 Apr 2018S3 E26 - Finally01:00:09

To discuss the mere 28 years, 1 month and 23 days since our last victory at Stamford Bridge, Tom and Dan are joined by Liam Twomey, ESPN's Chelsea correspondent, graciously willing to go over the event we all thought we'd maybe never see again.

It's finally happened, and we have Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen to thank for the most part, but how has it taken so long, and what does it mean to have finally got this significantly sizable monkey off our backs?

We talk about what it means for the top 4, what it means for both clubs in the short and long term, and Spurs' best players shining on the biggest stage.

We also have a chat about Lamela being a b*stard, Lloris and his flapping hands, Levy's salary, Toby's contract, and Stoke away.

It's finally happened. COYS.
