27 Apr 2023Kate Murphy: Cracking the Business Code with the Feminine00:55:54

How does one apply the feminine intelligence and feminine wisdom to the area of business and the cycles and seasons? It starts with coming home to self and understanding your own cycle. Whether you’re bleeding or not, whether you’re in touch with the lunar cycles or not, we can’t escape what is innate within nature. If we are always living on the cycle of the masculine business structure like the 9-5, which is based on the testosterone cycle, and when it comes to allowing nature to be in business especially for entrepreneurs, Kate asks, “How is your cycle moving through your business?”. Your business is always reflecting your energy and your healing. If we are faced with our cycle in a time where we need more rest but the 9-5 is telling us get up and get to work by 8 and come home by 6 PM, the first thing that Kate would change is how we work with our time and our cycle moving with your flow.

Kate Murphy is a Canadian entrepreneur, founder of The Feminine Code, Co-Founder and former CEO of The Play Magnus Group, Investor, Business Advisor as well as an Initiated Priestess. Kate’s work is focused on raising the feminine - both through the path of the priestess and through business. She works with women and entrepreneurs around the world to both start-up and scale-up by combining the sacred with strategy. As an entrepreneur at heart, at the age of 23, Kate co-founded Canada’s largest national dance convention, iDance, while earning both her BBA and MBA between Canada and France. As a priestess, she walks the path of priestess with women in her 1:1 mentorship containers as well. Over the last 16 years, she has also been deeply immersed in her spiritual path, which began in the yogic traditions and eventually led her to the path of her Celtic heritage as a priestess. Her passions are on both sides of the spectrum: the power of masculine strategy and the mysticism of divine feminine wisdom. It is her life's work to help guide and weave the feminine and masculine together, in business and inner worlds.

08 Sep 2022Jaguar Womban: Healing and Honoring the Womb01:08:04

There’s a sense of knowledge in the yoga traditions that comes from the body, where even when we move in the different physical postures, we awaken an understanding of enlightenment, energetics, or our own fire force within. Jaguar believes that “words don’t teach” and her way of learning is the body way, because she has felt more integrated with her pre-death self. Jaguar experienced a near-death experience and was clinically-dead upon arriving at the hospital and she shares how this experience awakened her calling as Jaguar Womban.

Jaguar Womban is a multidimensional healing artist, medicine woman, visionary, and mother of The Womb Nation. 18 May 2023Elise Loehnen: The Price Women Pay to be Good01:04:12

So much of the stories we tell of who we are have been told by men who have a certain view of the inevitability of patriarchy as the only system that we know throughout the world, ascribing an inevitability about it that is inaccurate and untrue. There have been multiple theories on how the patriarchy emerged in society and ultimately, we’ll never completely know as it predates written records. However, a Lithuanian archaeologist by the name of Marija Gimbutas theorized that in the Paleolithic period when the Judeo-Christian patriarchy emerged, a group of Kurgans who are warring men came down from the steps of Russia. At a time of ecological and environmental movement, these primarily warring men came and enslaved people, women, children, marking the start of patriarchy. Marija was destroyed by this theory but was proven to be correct years later. For Elise, she sees that there’s a standard of perfection, especially for people like Marija. Men and women are constantly in debates about nature and culture, conflating the two and creating these ideas about what it truly means to be a man or a woman. With anthropologists, they can be either right or wrong about history but for Elise, we cannot move forward without having these conversations.

Elise Loehnen is an American author, editor, and content strategist, best known for her work as the Chief Content Officer at Goop, a wellness and lifestyle brand founded by Gwyneth Paltrow. Prior to joining Goop, Elise worked as a writer and editor for a variety of publications, including Glamour, Conde Nast Traveler, and Oprah.com. She has also authored several books, including The Juice Cleanse Reset Diet and The Joy of Doing Nothing. Loehnen is known for her expertise in the wellness and lifestyle space and has spoken on a variety of topics related to health, beauty, and personal development.

Elise’s new book, On Our Best Behavior: The Seven Deadly Sins and the Price Women Pay to Be Good, is ready for pre-order and will be available by May 23, 2023.

01 Dec 2022Marcela Segal: The Goddess Within for Goddess Well00:59:30

Marcela had a big fear of speaking up. Her autoimmune disease being in her thyroid, she started doing things with more intention and believed that there was more to her experience than what people with her condition were told. Through rituals and exercises, she was able to get to the root of the problem on when her voice would shut down by liberating herself from her traumas at 22. She moved to the US and started looking for mentors to amplify her knowledge in rituals, meditations, and plant-based medicine.

Marcela is a former real estate investor focused on affordable housing and now certified Global Sisterhood facilitator. After years of dealing with her autoimmune disease, and Western medicines being unsuccessful, she turned to a more holistic approach through meditation and natural plant-based remedies. She graduated as a Global Sisterhood Facilitator in 2016, founded Goddess Well in 2019, and plans to open a center for woman in Miami called Cosmica.

What we discuss:

01:02 – Introducing Marcela

20 Oct 2021Anne Baring: Lessons on the Historical Suppression of the Feminine00:57:58

WE ARE ALL ONE WITH NATURE, EARTH, AND THE COSMOS - until we accept that, we'll remain trapped in the multifaceted crises we're facing today.

In this episode of The Time of The Feminine, Lauren and Shaina chat with Anne Baring about the long history of feminine and women suppression, what we can learn from it, and how we can move forward. Anne's powerful insights shed light on religious myths that put women to shame. She also highlights women's role in leading men to a better future and drops intriguing views on religion, warfare, quantum physics, and scientific reductionism.

Anne Baring is a Jungian analyst, author, and historian with an Honorary Ph.D. in Wisdom Studies from Ubiquity University. At 90, she published 8 books traversing the human condition, the Divine Feminine, and our fatal disconnection from the soul and the feminine principle.

Her magnum opus, 'The Dream of the Cosmos: A Quest for the Soul,' explores the roots of human suffering and presents solutions for collective salvation.

20:06 - Anne's thoughts on money: Does it help or hinder women's path forward?

24:09 - How can we abandon beliefs and behaviors that have been damaging the soul and the planet?

27:55 - Why the myth of Adam and Eve led to the subjugation of women, and what’s the new story we should propagate

33:43 - Scientific reductionism spreads ignorance; death isn't the end

41:48 - How Goddess/God communicated with Anne through a dream that sparked her devotion to the Feminine Principle

43:49 - Unearthing the Female Holy Spirit and The Lost Gospel of Mary Magdalene

52:10 - The pivotal role of women in the ‘Time of Transformation’ or the ‘Great Rebirth’

20 Jul 2023HeatherAsh Amara: Being a Warrior Goddess in Tumultuous Times00:53:34

What does it mean to be a truly disciplined person? HeatherAsh’s journey started with her dedication to being focused and disciplined; a patriarchal mindset of being better and doing things right that perpetuated self-punishment. She eventually had to leave this life, rewire, and recognize that values such as softness and compassion could be at par with discipline. Her Warrior Goddess Training book was also born out of her journey of doing live circles, living in Asia, being influenced by Buddhism, and being influenced by don Miguel Ruiz Jr. Through her experiences of reconnecting with the Earth, the rhythms, and the goddess work, coupled with encountering don as her teacher and examining the inner workings of her stories, this all helped her understand the power of intent, focus, and discipline when these two aspects are combined.

HeatherAsh Amara is the author of the bestselling Warrior Goddess series, host of the Warrior Goddess Revolution podcast, as well as master firewalker and activist. She is a land steward, philanthropist, and has spent almost 30 years dedicating her life and career to earth-based wisdom and mindfulness to ignite community change. She is working on her upcoming untitled book on dancing with contradictions.

12 Nov 2021Grandmother Flordemayo: Healing the Father Wound, the Power of Forgiveness & Wisdom from an Indigenous Grandmother00:56:12

How can we heal from the wounds people leave behind? Someone's death doesn't take away the pain they caused us. We carry it along with their memory, hoping it eventually subsides.

In this episode of The Time of the Feminine, Grandmother Flordemayo illuminates the sacred ways of forgiving the dead, healing from ancestral traumas, and cultivating our personal relationship with the Divine Mother.

Grandmother Flordemayo is a Curandera espiritu (healer by divine spirit) and Mayan priestess. She's one of the 13 grandmothers of the International Council of Thirteen Indigenous Grandmothers, a global alliance that teaches ancestral ways of prayer, education, and healing. While travelling the world to share her wisdom and spark people's spiritual consciousness, she also founded The Path, a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of traditional knowledge and heritage seeds.

31 Mar 2022Turiya Hanover: A Woman's Rage: How to Channel It for Healing01:05:04

Born in post-war Germany, Turiya carried collective trauma with no means of addressing it. She and her husband experienced a profound change after their first encounter workshop and Jungian psychotherapy session in the 70s. They continued their search for enlightenment in India with mystics. While in India, Turiya’s husband suddenly passed away, leading her to have an identity crisis. She was unsure of who she was, now that she was no longer a wife.

Turiya questioned not only who she was, but also the existing patriarchal structures and religion. Why are most spiritual paths run through men? What about women’s enlightenment? She started to feel anger towards the patriarchy for conditioning women to become submissive and manipulative. Instead of practicing Hindu detachment, she started exploring the pent up trauma within.

This anger that Turiya had is part of the collective rage towards the patriarchy. But anger is not about blaming others for our own suffering. On the contrary, Turiya believes that anger is energy—only by taking responsibility can we use this life force to live freely. Unexpressed anger can bring self hatred. It’s not easy to deal with anger alone, oftentimes it’s better to heal within groups. Being seen and heard pulls us out of isolation, allowing us to feel safe and to become more resilient.

Turiya is the co-founder of Path Retreats and the founder of the Path of Love transformation process. She has been trained in many different disciplines such as Gestalt, Bioenergetics, Psychodrama, Family Therapy, NLP, Hypnosis, Somatic Experiencing, Ego Psychology, Family Constellation, Enneagram and Astrology and Essence Work.

What we discuss:

04:52 - Confronting ego structures

06:48 - From princess to hippie

15:32 - Trauma and women's enlightenment

21:08 - Surrender vs submission

28:17 - Bridging over death

04 May 2023Michelle Tocher: Stories as a Pathway to Healing00:57:43

The reputation that fairytales have received over the past years precedes itself, which is precisely what made Michelle fall in love with it. She loved the rich imaginary of it all and as she started to also tell more and more of these fairytales, she found her voice changing and herself moving into this interior landscape that was rich in imagery and in human experience. So many of these stories start with wounds, descents, and struggles, like reflective mirrors where she could see her experience in these stories. As she delved deeper into fairytale, the morse she realized that all around the world, people have told these kinds of stories and that there are similar patterns across countries and continents. These stories are all coming out of a human experience; we are all part of one human experience and these stories precisely reflect our shared human experiences.

Michelle Tocher has been writing and telling warm, poignant, and humane stories often from a woman’s perspective. She is the author of the celebrated book “How to Ride a Dragon: Women With Breast Cancer Tell Their Stories”. She has recently published the lauded “The Tower Princess” as well as her new play “The Departure Train”. She has had a long career in communications and storytelling as President of Creative Premises Ltd., a 10-year Toronto-based health communications company. 23 Mar 2023Seraphina Capranos: Healing the Shame and Embracing the Wisdom of Pre-Modern Times01:03:41

In the pre-modern area whenever someone would get sick, people went to the priest and the illness was almost always considered as a kind of possession. Witches, having known the way of herbs and healing, psychic emotional healing was considered the work of the devil. Because of this, they were burned and punished. In the arc of human history, humans have been on earth for thousands of years and these burnings only took place a couple of hundred years ago and to this day, modern-day witches still carry the shame of being one. They are still living in the shadow of that time and the pain that came with it. However, Seraphine aims to clean and reclaim that. Witches carry valuable knowledge, and they are here to be of service to the Earth and humanity. They are wise people who know how to live, dance, breath, and create with the forces of nature as well as healers who know the way, how to listen, and read the signs of nature.

Seraphina Capranos is a clinical herbalist, homeopath, initiated priestess with a practice spanning over two decades, as well as being deeply engaging as a teacher and speaker. She has a clinical practice on Salt Spring Island. Unique blend of gifts straddled the vast world of plant medicine, homeopathy, and ritual and ceremonial practice. She is a sought-after international teacher and the founder of The Center for Sacred Arts.

18 Aug 2022Usha Anandi: The Cycles and Phases of the Feminine Body01:11:16

Usha Anandi was fifteen years old and was on the pill when she started down the path of recognizing how disconnected womb health and our understanding of our womb is from the rest of our body in our current medical structure. None of the medical practitioners she encountered provided concrete answers for her and that’s when she decided to take her journey into her own hands towards healing.

Usha explains how just as Mother Earth experiences seasons, so do women. The first phase is the follicular phase or what Usha calls the “inner spring” because that’s when its freshness comes over our body and it begins once the blood of your menstrual cycle stops; the next is the ovulatory phase or the “inner summer” where we experience our ovulation or the peak of fertility; the luteal phase or “inner autumn” is when estrogen falls and progesterone rises which increases the linings of our uterus; lastly is menstruation or “inner winter” where progesterone falls and triggers the release of the endometrium and the shedding or the release of blood.

Patriarchy, racism, and classicism have impacted modern-day gynecology and midwifery and a lot or procedures were developed through experimenting with black and enslaved women. The women who continued the tradition of midwifery were black but 90% of midwives in the US are now white women. Now, it has become highly medicalized, industrialized, and attended by obstetrical practitioners.

Usha Anandi’s work is focused on revolutionizing the way modern healthcare serves the sacred and the ancient within each woman. She founded Womben Wellness and is a holistic nutritionist, childbirth educator, full-spectrum doula, and herbalist.

10 Mar 2022Dr. Anne Marie Chomat: Empowering Marginalized Communities through Women's Circles00:45:08

Guatemala has faced hundreds of years of colonization and oppression–keeping the women feeling distant, unworthy, and traumatized. Upon arriving in Guatemala, the Maya people were wary of Dr. Marie and her intentions but her constant presence eventually earned the community’s trust. Before Buena Semilla was fully realized, she started out by listening to women’s stories alongside village leaders. The women’s circles were formed over time, where women could share their experiences in a safe space.

At Buena Semilla, women could talk about themselves indirectly through photography, theater, or other creative mediums. The Mayan women were so divided that they had to learn how to build healthy relationships with one another. By hearing each other’s struggles, they could collectively heal and challenge one another. Although the work at Buena Semilla is far from complete, Marie is proud to witness the transformation of indigenous women. They could now dare to dream of something better for themselves.

As part of the Global North, how can we fulfill our responsibilities to help our brothers and sisters in other countries? We can follow Dr. Marie’s example by listening first. The solutions that we have are not always applicable to every situation so it’s important that we understand the full context. Tread softly and be open to embrace a new way of thinking.

Anne Marie Chomat (MD, Ph.D., MPH) is a practitioner and thought-leader in decolonizing, holistic approaches to health & wellbeing. She holds a Ph.D. in stress-research focused on the intergenerational impact of stressors on women and their children in marginalized contexts. As a mentor, teacher, physician, and community engagement practitioner, she has over 20 years of experience working alongside some of the most marginalized populations across five continents. She co-founded Buena Semilla together with indigenous Maya women of Guatemala with whom she has been working over the last 13 years - a grassroots organization widely recognized for its innovations within the fields of women’s empowerment, participatory community mental health, and collective healing as a vehicle for transformative change.

20 Jan 2022Betty Kovacs: Cosmic Consciousness Through Mystic Narratives and Symbolic Experiences01:12:45

“What happened to the feminine?” This is the question that has plagued Dr. Betty J. Kovacs in her reading of ancient texts. In her search for answers, she discovered that prehistoric civilizations honored the feminine as the source of opposites: of both life and death. Stories of the hero’s journey symbolize the masculine’s yearning to connect with his being in the feminine. True myths reveal that the divine is both masculine and feminine; we are all divine.

Throughout history, the church and state have actively tried to suppress these soul stories. As a consequence, we inherited false narratives that deeply wound us. We believe we are flawed, therefore we look for salvation outside ourselves. The dark tales have become our reality—leaving us with a distorted patriarchal worldview that’s evident in modern Western culture.

To begin healing from this negativity, we must rediscover our sacred heritage: that we are all born from cosmic consciousness. Immortality, creativity, and divinity are our birthrights. Our mystic culture holds the knowledge for humanity’s growth and development. We must bring together the symbolic and rational mind to solve this universal crisis.

Betty also shares with us insights about dealing with loss. In the span of 3 years, she lost her mother, husband, and son in separate car crashes. Although she struggled to come to terms with reality, her worldview about life and death were ultimately transformed by her family’s experience of precognitions, dreams, and visions.

Betty is a writer and professor whose expertise lies in understanding consciousness and spirituality by unearthing long lost shaman-mystic traditions and ancient narratives. She obtained her doctorate in Comparative Literature and Theory of Symbolic/Mythic Language from the University of California. Her book, Merchants of Light: The Consciousness That is Changing the World, won the Nautilus Silver Book Award and The Scientific & Medical Network 2019 Book Prize. She is also the author of The Miracle of Death: There Is Nothing But Life.

What we discuss:

03:36 - The search for meaning of feminine symbols

08:06 - The divine is in all forms

13:50 - Life and death are intertwined

23:57 - Can two people share the same soul?

28:34 - Our inheritance of distorted stories

34:22 - How do we change our core belief of “I am not enough”?

42:22 - The dangers of a limited patriarchal worldview

50:41 - The mythic Jesus

53:58 - The split of the feminine from the eternal

1:00:11 - Betty’s vision of love and light around the planet

13 Oct 2022Maia Toll: Exploring The Witch Archetype00:46:04

In the past, the term “witch” was used to refer to female healers. They were the ones who stayed behind, caring for the sick using natural remedies. This is in stark contrast to male healers, who used harsher methods to tend to the wounded on the battlefield. It is through herbalism that Maia Toll began to explore the witch archetype.

As she studied herbs and magic, Maia found herself looking to escape her earthly vessel. She never felt comfortable in her own skin, and was often frustrated by her body. Her attempts to flee brought about a revelation: an exploration that’s disconnected from the body is insanity. By fully integrating the body and soul, Maia felt a stronger connection to the mystic.

Maia is the award-winning author of the best selling Wild Wisdom Series which has inspired readers worldwide to explore their human nature through the magical lens of the natural world.

Her latest book is The Night School, which explores the self through the lens of philosophy, divination, and astrology. She also owns an herb shop called Herbiary, with locations in Asheville, Philadelphia, and online.

16 Dec 2021Naomi Katz: Observing Your Monthly Cycle & Cultivating Relationships with Nature & Your Body00:48:11

"Our menstrual cycles are the basis of life," says educator and author Naomi Katz. "We all exist because of the health of our mother's menstrual cycle."

In this newest episode of The Time of the Feminine, Naomi Katz - the visionary behind HerWisdom - dives deep into the parallelism of our monthly cycles to the cyclicality of nature and the universe. Just as how seasons shift from winter to spring, our bodies go through chemical changes that drive our menstrual cycles. But more than a biological rhythm, menstruation reveals a deeper spiritual connection we seem to have forgotten because of power systems tagging menstruation a taboo subject.

Here, Naomi explains why it’s time to open up and how we can all step into a healthier relationship with our bodies and Mother Earth. The first step is to pursue an “education of the senses,” and she leaves us with 3 powerful tools on how to do that. When asked what feminine leadership is, she inspires us with the greatest lesson she learned from the strong women who raised her. She specifically highlights her learnings from her teacher, Carmita (Carmen Vicente), a revered Medicine Woman from the Andes Mountains.

Why should you listen to your body and care more about menstrual cycles?

Because the attention and observation you give your internal world is the same attention and observation your external world needs. To become an embodied feminine leader, you must first cultivate an embodied self. This interview is the perfect guide for that!

Naomi is the author of “Beautiful: Being an Empowered Young Woman” and founder of HerWisdom, a non-profit organization dedicated to cultivating the authenticity of women’s leadership. She’s an educator with 20 years of experience working with young women on four continents. She writes programs and curriculum that cultivate women’s leadership and champion a culture of empowerment.

What we discuss…

2:25 - Why academic excellence doesn't guarantee spiritual fulfillment

5:00 - Naomi's journey to her indigenous self, and her encounter with Carmita

9:50 - How religion and capitalism separate people from Spirit

13:00 - The spiritual aspect of menstruation, and what “education of the senses” is

20:55 - How to become a leader who leads in the feminine way

24:21 - "There is no disconnection; there's only lack of attention"

27:15 – Why menstruation isn't about fertility and womanhood isn't about motherhood

30:00 - 3 Practices you can do to cultivate a healthier relationship with nature and your body

35:50 – What feminine leadership is, and her greatest lesson from her elders

17 Feb 2022Nikki Novo: Connecting With Your Spirit Guides00:57:03
“Intuition is a practice of reading the unseen” according to master intuitive Nikki Novo. But she wasn’t always attuned to her mystic gift of intuition. As a child, she showed no signs of being a psychic, except for her fascination with the divine. After a bad breakup in her twenties, Nikki sought out clairvoyants for answers. One fortune teller, in particular, gave accurate and insightful readings. During the session, Nikki expressed her interest do readings and her psychic encouraged her to learn by giving her books.     Through reading and meditation with spirit guides, Nikki learned to become intuitive. Spiritual guides come in multiple forms: a deity, an ancestor, or even a past life. A support can help you become more sensitive to different energies by translating unfamiliar frequencies for you. However, be discerning with who you connect to. In our eagerness to receive messages, we may unintentionally connect with a false guide and distort our communication with our spiritual support. It’s important to consider our own mental state, integrity, intentions, timing, and humility to improve our intuition.

When it comes to dating, you can definitely use your intuition to find a partner. In recent years there has been a big uprising of the feminine. This collective change has also prompted a transformation in men. While some are ready, most men are still evolving. The male will have to rise to match the feminine. As you get to know potential partners, be kind to yourself and keep in mind that the male is undergoing a process of ascension.

Nikki is a Cuban-American spiritual mentor, intuitive healer, and medium. As the founder of Soul Academy, she teaches students how to access their intuition and discover their spiritual gifts. She is also the bestselling author of The Final Swipe, a book about using intuition for dating and relationships. Prior to her practice as a wellness specialist, Nikki was an editor for Refinery29 and MSN. Her work has been featured in Allure magazine, Town & Country, the Huffington Post, DailyWorth, and others.

What we discuss:

03:11 - Nikki’s childhood and upbringing

05:31 - The search for psychic advice

08:40 - Learning intuition and its different applications

07 Apr 2022Margaret Starbird: The Lost Bride of Christ: Mary Magdalene01:02:31

“Was Jesus married?” Margaret embarked on her own journey to uncover the truth about the lost bride of Christ after reading Holy Blood, Holy Grail. In her research, she found that the church has been trying to suppress the sacred marriage between Jesus and Mary Magdalene for thousands of years.

As she went deeper into her inquiry, she found compelling clues that Mary was indeed Jesus’ most beloved companion. The anointing of Jesus by a woman with the alabaster jar was mentioned in all four gospels, implying the importance of this event. The gospel of John revealed the woman’s identity to be Mary. Jesus himself instructed her to bring the fragrance to his tomb after his crucifixion. A look at the Scriptures shows that Mary Magdalene is mentioned first on seven of eight lists, hinting at her status in the community. These are some of the allusions that point to the sacred marriage.

Christianity has always emphasized the image of a male celibate God and a virgin mother all the while rejecting Mary as the bride of Christ. In doing so, Christianity also rejects the divine feminine because the sacred marriage represents the partnership between the masculine and feminine energies. Without it, we lack compassion and connection. The holy union is also symbolic of the unity of flesh and divinity. God is within us and works through us. We fail to fully embody the teachings of Christianity by being blind to the divine in us.

Margaret Starbird holds BA and MA degrees from the University of Maryland where she concentrated in comparative literature, medieval studies, and German language. She later studied theology at Vanderbilt Divinity School in Nashville. Margaret is the author of seven books that honor the Divine Feminine and the Sacred Marriage at the core of the Christian story. Her work has been credited as the inspiration for Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code.

23 Feb 2023Shaina & Lauren: Boundaries. Boundaries. Boundaries. Boundaries!01:02:36

We grow up in a world, and in a culture, that doesn’t teach us about the human faculties we are born with.
These faculties include our breath, energy system, presence, and perceptual awareness. It seems crazy that we are given these bodies that do so many things, and what we learn in school, has almost nothing to do with our internal realms. Perhaps it is intentional - or it’s just a lack of awareness? I feel that the more we learn about our inner-world and personal experiencing, the more richness, and understanding we can bring to life.

Today, many of us struggle with overwhelm, sadness, anxiety, and many other difficult experiences. Women are found to be 2-3x as likely to struggle with depression and anxiety as men.

When I really start to think about why… one of the very possible reasons could just be: Boundaries, or the lack of them.
Creating boundaries is a way of valuing our worth, our time, our energy, and our resources. It’s a way to acknowledge ourselves, cut out draining energies, and keep us from things that are not in alignment. Setting them is hard because we can feel scared to speak our truth, and fear how others might respond.

Today, Lauren and I get honest about where we are at in our study of boundaries. We discuss what we’ve learned, examples of experiences we are going through, and what root-trauma we have to touch to be able to feel worthy of creating healthy boundaries.

For us, in setting healthy boundaries, we are learning how free we are when we speak our truths and how good it is to honor our needs...

06 Apr 2023Bethany Webster: Healing the Mother Wound01:10:59

Despite moms being important figures in our life, some are better than others, and Bethany explores the mother wound and the complicated relationship daughters have with them. How then do we acknowledge the mother wound? For Bethany, some of the first steps that a person can take are to reflect on the problems in one’s relationship with their mom. For many women, it’s about being able to be authentic; feeling the need to be smaller or less real to protect them in some way. Another step to take is to explore what irks you about your relationship with your mom and how that plays out in real-time. An important question to also ask yourself is that if you could have it any way you wanted, how would you interact with her? What would that relationship be like and how would it be different?

Bethany Webster is a writer, international speaker, and transformational coach. She started blogging in 2013 about the Mother Wound and quickly experienced worldwide demand for her work. Through blending research on intergenerational trauma, feminist theory, and psychology with her own personal story, Bethany's work is the result of decades of research and her own journey of healing. Bethany speaks, consults and mentors around the world sharing her growing body of work that is raising the standard of women’s leadership and personal development. 06 Oct 2022Barbara McAfee: Unleashing Your Power Through Your Voice01:03:35

Barbara started her work with the voice and vocal training because of her experience as a young girl at a time where women were expected to be nice and polite. She saw that a person’s experience, trauma, and even keeping family secrets while growing up can affect and manifest through a person’s voice. While also coming from a family of singers, her reclaiming of her voice, power, and healing as a person has been tangled up from her roots ever since.

Trauma can affect the voice and can depend on gender, class, race, country of origin, when the trauma occurred, how you survived, and so on. For example, people who infantilize their voice or talk like they’re still a child reflects a person’s desire to not grow up or a call for help. Another example is how sometimes a deadness or a flatness in a voice can indicate a person’s need to hide their emotions especially with therapists, chaplains, social workers, and people in the medical field.

The five elements of voice include earth, which is good for being grounded, projecting authority, and accessing your gut instinct; fire is for passion, personal power, and physical vitality; water is the heart and throat, the voice of the heart or anything your heart wants to say; metal is the mask or the face and can be loud without any vocal strength which is bright, sharp, and can cut through anything; and lastly is air, sourced from the crown and is good for storytelling, telling the future, and linking to the spirit.

Barbara is a voice coach, trainer, and author of “Full Voice: The Art and Practice of Vocal Presence” which helps train individuals who want to use their voice to its full potential whether through leadership, education, or singing. She is the founder of Morning Star Singers, a volunteer choir that sings for people facing hardship such as illness, end of life, depression, or grief.

17 Mar 2022Lauren and Shaina: Sisterhood and the Fear of not Belonging00:28:07

Everyone longs for unconditional love and acceptance. In our world that is conditioned to judge, so many of us have felt like we don't belong. People strive for money, fame, and power in an attempt to feel worthy. When we act according to these preconceived notions of what we should be like, we are unable to form real relationships.

In women’s circles, we are reminded that we are worthy. We are reminded of our connection to the earth and to every living being. It’s a safe space to do inner work with a sisterhood who won’t reject your vulnerability. Little by little, we learn to let our facades go as we heal from our wounds. Women’s circles teaches us how to embody our truths as well as how to receive other people’s truths. Through the practice of listening, we make our sisters feel seen and heard—just as we are seen and heard. Interactions between authentic selves give way to deeper connections and infinite possibilities.

29 Sep 2022Unpacking How Myths Create Worlds with Sophie Strand00:50:01

Sophie’s big ethos is that we are holobionts or beings composed of other beings. We have more bacterial and fungal cells in our body than human cells, and just as we are made up of microclimates and ecologies, we are all the organs and ferment of Gaia. She also unpacks the myth surrounding religion. She ties everything back to ecology and our relationship with the world around us and unpacks the concept of hierarchy, oppression, and systems that have grown and thicken throughout the ages. The thread that Sophie wants to pull and dismantle is Jesus Christ and his story, and how religion and the myth of Dionysus shaped the concept of patriarchy and masculinity we all know today.

Sophie Strand is a writer based in the Hudson Valley who focuses on the intersection of spirituality, storytelling, and ecology. Her first book of essays called “The Flowering Wand: Rewilding the Sacred Masculine” will be published by Inner Traditions in Fall of 2022.

16 Mar 2023Sylvia Linsteadt: Remembering Stories to Weave the World Anew01:00:13

Ever since Sylvia was a little girl, she’s always read and written stories and was very drawn to old myths and ancient cultures, almost wanting to embody them through her writing as her way into them. For the longest time, she considered her writing fantasy, separated from her sense of embodied participation with the Earth and with life along with a fear to connect these two worlds. However, her writing became her intuitive channel as it opened her process and molded her 20s slowly as she studied animal tracking, wanting to reflect the land around her from a more than human perspective. Animal tracking taught her this language to listen deeply into the land that she was in. As she continued her studies, things started to weave in intuitively as it does with creative work to a place that she couldn’t really articulate or speak to. Unfortunately (or rather fortunately), a painful experience called her to the island of Crete, opening her consciousness of her own relationship to her intuition, connecting something, and initiating her process of remembering.

Sylvia Linsteadt is a writer, artist, and certified animal tracker. She has authored books such as “Our Lady of the Dark Country”, the award-nominated middle grade fantasy duology “The Wild Folk” and “The Wild Folk Rising”, the novel “Tatterdemalion”, and an award-winning collection of essays entitled “Lost Worlds of the San Francisco Bay Area”. 25 Aug 2022Dr. Nicole Gruel: Near-Death and Extraordinary Experiences01:19:33

Dr. Nicole had her first near-death experience when she was 14 years old which she called her “doorway to death”. Within six months, her father died along with two other family members afterwards. It took her years to process these layers of unprocessed grief and she turned to substances, experiences, and relationships to cope. Fortunately, she had always gravitated towards the spiritual path and as she gotten older, this path gave her the space to unpack and process her experiences. However, the death of her grandmother made her see the differences between how differently the East and West grieve and process death, opening up her path into learning more about how we humans process death and near-death experiences.

Dr. Nicole Gruel is an author, speaker, Mama, and a specialist in spiritual health. She comes from a 450-year lineage of samurai. A near-death experience and numerous other spiritually transformative experiences inspired her to cheerlead others through their extraordinary experiences towards life, prosperity, joyful livelihood, and into becoming the agents of awesome they were meant to be.

03 Feb 2022Lauren and Shaina: The Embodiment of Our True Selves Through Enlightenment and Humility00:49:39

Renouncing the patriarchy is not about shaming men. Throughout time, the preference for the masculine has been perpetuated by the skewed view of God as an exclusively male deity. This patriarchal ideology has affected not just women, but all beings. The Western world inadvertently created a system that deemed feminine qualities as undesirable and inferior. Women and goddess-worshiping cultures were stripped of their voices; unable to participate in important conversations because they did not fit masculine ideals.

Another belief that’s been indoctrinated in our psyches is that humans are impure. To escape our unworthiness, we must strive to become masculine—like God. For so long we have associated the feminine with the sinful. As a result, we have oppressed our bodies, nature, and women.

Now that we are enlightened to the truth, the goal of The Time of The Feminine Podcast is not to create a matriarchy, but to bring back harmony by elevating the feminine.

Breaking away from centuries-old conditioning is no easy task. Through the Sacred Facilitator program, we want to help you put into action the embodiment of your true self. We hope to create new paradigm leaders who will hold spaces for collective healing through their own unique effort. As we heal our relationship with ourselves and with others, we inspire more people to step into their power. We are creating a tide of change by awakening each other’s true purpose. However, do not misconstrue transformation as doing more work. It’s about living authentically, with a firm trust and deep knowing of ourselves.

What we discuss:

02:43 - Learning from the Time of the Feminine guests

06:42 - Embodying visions during a period of gestation

08:50 - Global Sisterhood’s legacy

23 Dec 2021Christian Current: Exploring Balanced and Imbalanced Yin and Yang Energy00:44:42

Is your Yin and Yang energy in balance? And is the Yin and Yang energy in the world around you in balance? The energies of the Yin and Yang, or masculine and feminine, are something many of us have heard before, although many of us do not have the full understanding or awareness of the deep complexities they hold.

Yin and yang, or masculine and feminine energy, is something we all hold within ourselves, but how much of each varies person to person. In this episode of the Time of the Feminine, our guest Christian Current explains the polarity and resonance between the two energies, how these energies amplify certain feelings, and how they allow us to express our truth. You’ll not only leave the conversation with a beautiful understanding of Yin and Yang, but also what polarity and resonance actually are, and how both of these energies are useful to you.

Christian is not only a very dear friend, mentor, and the wizard that keeps us in check, he is a longtime student and practitioner of Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, Polarity Therapy, Yoga, Meditation, World Religion, and Shamanism. In addition to having completed numerous shamanic and yogic trainings in the Americas and India, Christian holds a BA in Philosophy and Religion, an MA in Religious Studies and is a Phd Candidate in Asian Cultures and Languages with an emphasis on the History of Yoga and Tantra.

28 Jul 2022Nina Simons: Leading with the Feminine00:47:39

One of the current challenges of feminine leadership is knowing when to draw the line between sacrifice and martyrdom. Historically, women have been socialized to serve as mothers and wives. From this conditioning arose the belief that self-worth is directly related to how many people they nurture. It’s true that leadership is about lifting others up, but it shouldn’t be at the expense of personal well-being.

The opportunities for growth, challenge, and leadership are endless. How does one discern when to say yes and when to say no? Keep in mind that a “no” is not a closed door; it may lead you to somewhere different. Before making a decision, ask yourself: Is it a cause you care about? Will it contribute to the cultivation of the self? It also helps to examine the sensations in your body. These sensations serve as signals; reclaim your body’s intuition.

Another important area to apply discernment is in regard to motivation. Are you serving because it is a conscious choice or is it out of habit? Is it for yourself or is it to meet outside expectations? The practice of self love can combat the compulsion to overperform. Listen to your body, heart, and spirit intently.

Nina Simons is an award-winning social entrepreneur and visionary thinker. She is co-founder of Bioneers and its Everywoman’s Leadership program. Her work currently focuses on writing, speaking and teaching about women, leadership, diversity, nature, systems thinking, leading from the heart, and restoring the feminine in us all.

15 Dec 2022Clark Strand and Perdita Finn: The Radical Path of The Divine Feminine Hidden in the Rosary01:27:35

One of the most radical things that Perdita and Clark ask their fellowship is this: “What do you want? What is your heart’s desire?”. Culture, society, and religion tells us what we want and should want. But the lady, the Mother, has planted seeds in each of our hearts and those seeds are particular to each one of our souls. By knowing what those seeds are, we can begin to help them grow through prayer. For Clark and Perdita, the rosary is about reclaiming the miraculous and the miraculous world is the real world that’s hidden behind our reality. Behind the corporate façade that we live in, people pray for love, intimacy, connection, healing, joy; meaningful, miraculous things that are much more real than we think.

Clark Strand and Perdita Finn are authors of “The Way of the Rose: The Radical Path of the Divine Feminine Hidden in the Rosary”. They are the co-founders of The Way of the Rose, an inclusive fellowship of rosary friends dedicated to the Earth and to the Lady. Strand is an author of numerous books and articles on spiritual practices. Finn is a children’s book author and former high school teacher. They live with their family in the Catskill Mountains.

24 Feb 2022Christena Cleveland: God is a Black Woman00:56:41
The divine is not limited to one specific gender or race but for most of us, we’ve been conditioned to believe that the only acceptable form of God is that of a white male. This limited patriarchal view of religion breeds misogyny and white supremacy. As a black woman, Christena Cleveland finds this to be very problematic.

She started challenging the notion of an exclusively white God when her religious community didn’t seem to be bothered by Trump’s allegations of sexual assault. They also seem apathetic towards the Black Lives Matter movement. The conventional image of God didn’t inspire compassion for women or African-Americans—and Christena was both. These events prompted her to leave her church and to seek out the Black Madonna.

Learning more about the Black Madonna felt like an affirmation of Christena’s identity: that Black women are sacred and powerful too. Not only that, she was also able to overcome her struggles with food and exercise. For 30 years, Christena has been desperate to fit into the beauty standards set by the male gaze. By putting her faith in the sacred Black feminine, she no longer felt pressured to look a certain way because the Black Madonna welcomes intersectionality.

Christena is a social psychologist, theologian, and activist. She is the founder and director of the Center for Justice + Renewal as well as its sister organization, Sacred Folk. Her Ph.D. in social psychology is from the University of California Santa Barbara while her honorary doctorate is from the Virginia Theological Seminary. As an award-winning researcher and author, Christena recently published her third book entitled, "God is a Black Woman."

What we discuss:

04:56 - White supremacy and misogyny from the patriarchal God

12:53 - "Leaving the plantation on the prairie church"

16:57 - Developing a connection with the Black Madonna

26:11 - Christena's body journey

12 Jan 2023Kelly Brogan: Personal Responsibility, the Journey of Initiation, and Moving Away from the Pack00:55:38

The medical system oftentimes feels like a cult where people are punished for speaking out against it. Kelly had been in it for the longest time but decided to break free from the cycle; us being the victim, the doctor being the rescuer, and the villain being your body. As Kelly began to recognize that taking responsibility, moving into the uncertainty, and taking the risk of being in the wrong, she realized that a big reason why many people don’t have a natural birth or take holistic medicine is because they’re programmed with the thought of ‘But what if I’m wrong?’. Kelly wants to reclaim the power of choice and the power of responsibility where you can be yourself, have your own thoughts, and make your own choices.

Kelly Brogan is a holistic psychiatrist and author of the NY Times bestselling book, “A Mind of Your Own”, “Own Your Self”, the children’s book, “A Time For Rain”, and co-editor of the landmark textbook, Integrative Therapies for Depression. She founded the online healing program Vital Mind Reset, and the membership community, Vital Life Project. She is specialized in a root-cause resolution approach to psychiatric syndromes and symptoms.

18 Nov 2021Karen Lee Downes: What You Need to Know About The Feminine Intelligence Revolution00:48:20

MORE THAN LABORERS, WE ARE HUMANS.  To create a flourishing future for all, we must dismantle the current systems of masculine domination and restore the feminine values that have been suppressed for centuries.

Our guest Karen Lee Downes puts this imbalance in the context of the workplace where masculine qualities are held supreme over the feminine. This is seen in how success at work is measured through output, strength, competition, and performance, while unquantifiable feminine qualities like humility, compassion, empathy, intimacy, and intuition are trivialized – causing a never-ending “burnout” crisis and women marginalization.

How do we make the workplace a home where people, both men and women, can embody the feminine without being put to shame?

Karen says it’s through reintegrating the feminine intelligence, first within ourselves and then outside. She shares what it takes to elevate our consciousness and how to rewrite the false narratives we know into something we want. Also, she gives tips on how we can help spread the word about the paradigm shift while reminding us what true activism is.

Karen Lee Downes is the co-founder of FemmeQ and founder of The Flourish Initiative. With over three decades of expertise and experience as a social entrepreneur, therapist, author, and business consultant, she has designed and led development programs for leaders and their teams, across all sectors of society, applying the feminine principle.

What we discuss…

3:30 - What is feminine intelligence?

11:20 - The key to ending the chronic existence of hunger in the world

12:20 - What it's like to be a woman leading a masculine paradigm shift

27 Jan 2022Torie Feldman: Creating a New Paradigm of Interconnectedness00:47:56

The wound of separation has been internalized for far too long. As we remember our connection to the earth, to our ancestors, and to the feminine, a new paradigm of interconnectedness is emerging in the collective consciousness.

Torie takes us through her own journey of separation, radical awakening, and healing. As a Jewish woman raised in Los Angeles, Torie did not feel connected to her heritage. She didn’t identify with the mainstream culture of fast food, celebrities, and cars either. Her rejection of the modern Western lifestyle led her to study cultural anthropology. During her volunteer experience at a Native American reservation, she had a groundbreaking realization: she herself was cut off from her own ancestors. To rediscover her roots, she visited her homeland of Israel where she felt a true sense of belonging with her lineage and culture.

This revival is what prompted Torie to assist other women in their own healing. Memories of our ancestors are stored in our bodies and we can access those stories by looking within. Through Torie’s mythic memory method, we connect with a wise ancestor and travel back to the exact moment when the core wound happened. When we return to the source of our trauma, we can process the pain together with our ancestors and rewrite the story. Deep work with our predecessors leads to healing that will eventually ripple forward to each generation.

By reclaiming a clean lineage, we find that our souls have always had a pure crystalline quality to them. Our true selves can shine forth, and the divine can work through us as clear channels.

Torie, a dear friend to the Global Sisterhood, is a healing guide and women’s spiritual mentor at Sacred Ancestry. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Cultural Anthropology, with a specific focus on indigenous wisdom. For the past decade, Torie has immersed herself in diverse healing arts and spiritual disciplines. She specializes in ancestral healing and feminine embodiment facilitation, guiding women to fully live out their unique gifts and magic through lineage work.

03:25 - How Torie and Lauren met

07:20 - Leaving behind the myth of separation

01 Sep 2022Jyoti Ma: Unlearning to Learn from the Original Peoples00:40:34

Jyoti talks about how the root of undervalued women started when the Vatican sent out letters, or the papal bull, to people across all continents and saying that the people living outside of western civilization were less than human and needed to be brought into the Church, foregoing their cultures. If they disobeyed, they would be killed, and their land would be taken. That was when land started to become possessed and the strand with Mother Earth herself cut. This forced colonized states to form over centuries and eventually led to land being objectified and commodified.

Nature has intelligence and has sent her protocols into the original caretakers of the planet, which are indigenous peoples and cultures. According to the mothers, the key to the magic kingdom is “just show up”. This allows people to sit with indigenous people and elders and learn from them instead of adopting a Western mindset of figuring out what to take from these people. Jyoti has come to appreciate the diversity of the different lines that the original people hold with these protocols and the value this has into understanding how to better care for the planet.

Jyoti Ma is a spiritual teacher and has devoted her life to taking care of Mother Earth by bringing together guardians of indigenous culture and traditional medicine ways. She is the Founder of The Fountain, Grandmother Vision Keeper at Center for Sacred Studies, and a Faculty Member of The Esalen Institute.

04 Nov 2021Quanita Roberson: What Initiation Is and How Grief Gives Life Meaning00:44:38

WHAT DOES IT REALLY MEAN TO GROW UP? As adolescents, we want all of the freedom and none of the responsibilities…So how do we transition into the adults and leaders our world needs?

In this soulful episode of The Time of the Feminine, Quanita Roberson shares what initiation is and how it reveals our purpose. They are not the reason for growth or prosperity, but points of information. Zainab believes that a person has to keep their integrity towards the soul of the mission or the vision. Feminine leadership is putting as much importance to the actual mind in the facts as much as to the heart’s knowledge, for the heart has wisdom, knowledge, and intelligence. If we run organizations only using our minds, it becomes broken, disconnected, and unsustainable.

Zainab Salbi has frequently been named as one of the women changing the world by leading publications ranging from Newsweek to The Guardian. Oprah Winfrey identified her as one of the women changing the world to People Magazine and President Bill Clinton identified her as one of the 21st century heroes to Harper’s Bazaar. Most recently Foreign Policy Magazine named her as one of “100 Leading Global Thinkers” and Watkins Magazine identified her as one of the top 100 Most Spiritually Influential Living People in 2020.At the age of 23, Zainab founded Women for Women International, a humanitarian organization dedicated to women survivors of wars. Under her leadership (1993–2011), Women for Women International grew from helping 30 women upon its inception to helping more than 420,000 women and distributing more than 100 million dollars in aid. Zainab is the author of several books, including the best seller Between Two Worlds: Escape from Tyranny; Growing Up in the Shadow of Saddam (with Laurie Buckland); The Other Side of War; Women’s Stories of Survival and Hope; If You Knew Me You Would Care,(with photographs by Rennio Maifredi); and her latest Freedom is an Inside Job; Owning our Darkness and Our Light to Change Ourselves and the World. She is also the Executive Editor and Host of several shows including Through Her Eyes with Yahoo News, #MeToo, Now What? with PBS, The Zainab Salbi Project with Huffington Post , and The Nida’a Show with TLC Arabia. In early 2022, alongside Jody Allen, Zainab co-founded Daughters for Earth, a new fund and campaign that aims to inspire all women to engage in climate change action by mobilizing $100 million for on the ground, women-led efforts to protect and restore the Earth.

28 Oct 2021Alana Fairchild: A Guide to Spiritual Awakening and Divine Feminine Energy Work01:14:01

GROWTH INVOLVES SUFFERING, AND LIFE IS A SERIES OF MICRO DEATHS.

What exactly is the price of walking the sacred spiritual path? Where does pain end and peace begins?

In this episode of The Time of the Feminine, Alana Fairchild shares what it means to channel the Divine Wisdom in our daily life and serve the heart despite our worldly fears. While most of us see death as the end, Alana sees it as the beginning of another lifetime. She introduces the Dark Goddess Kali and guides us away from the fear of dying into the truth of rebirth.

Rage and anger can be transformed into an energy, and Alana gives us the tools to make it happen. For her, the divine feminine intelligence doesn't give us control of things; it teaches us to give up control and let the Spirit work for us. How do we learn to let go of the world and listen to our soul? How do we navigate our worst traumas and find joy in the unknown?

Alana Fairchild is a modern mystic and best-selling author whose work greatly influenced the mission of the Global Sisterhood. 02 Mar 2023Quanita Roberson: Inner-Ground Railroad01:13:30

What is the meaning of the “InnerGround Railroad”? One of the assumptions that Quanita makes in her book is that we are spiritual beings having human experiences and not the other way around. This means that everything that happens is in service to the spiritual beings, to us growing as spirits. That means that nothing is accidental and that the universe is exact and sends us exactly what our souls need to move to the next layer. If you are holding that as an assumption, you will begin to ask yourself “Why is this happening FOR me?” instead of “Why is this happening TO me?”. Instead of assuming we get to choose automatically who we are to each other, it’s better to ask ourselves: “Who did we promise to be here with each other?”.

Quanita is an entrepreneur, author, coach, consultant, organizational shaman, and president of nzuzu.com. Her work focuses on transformation through coaching, training, and outreach globally. She has over 20 years of experience as an international personal and professional development facilitator, supporting in areas of healing, grief, leadership, diversity, and inclusion.

22 Sep 2022Michelle Gomez: The Latina Mother Wound00:53:50

In Latina households, Mother-daughter relationships can be complicated. Michelle Gomez knows what that’s like—having worked through 11 years of pain herself. As tempting as it is to put the full blame on moms, they’re also victims of colonialist systems of oppression.

When Spanish colonialists conquered Latin America, they brought along teachings of Roman Catholicism. The indegenous people were taught to revere the image of a White, male God. The Bible instructed women how to behave. Colonialists started emphasizing the masculine and devaluing the feminine, even though the natives originally believed in the balance of the two energies. Thus, the patriarchy was indoctrinated and passed down to each generation.

Parents used these colonialist ideals to rear children. If children deviated from the rules, it would reflect poorly on the parents and they would be punished. This was the environment our mothers grew up in, and they didn’t know any better. In order to heal from our mother wounds, Michelle shares two important steps. First, we must reclaim the inner child by working through our traumas. Second, we must grieve our mothers. Recognize them for who they are: imperfect women who did their best to raise their children. In this way, we take responsibility over the healing process, without depending on our mothers for validation or reconciliation.

Michelle is a spiritual life coach who specializes in helping Black, Indigenous, and Women of Color (BIWOC) heal the mother wound, connect to their feminine divinity, and unleash their inner Warrior Woman. She is also a keynote speaker and the author of the international bestseller "Own Your Brilliance: Overcome Impostor Syndrome for Career Success".

04 Aug 2022Jeremie Lotemo: How Men Heal the Wounds of Patriarchy01:23:41

The patriarchy is killing men. And yet, men continue to uphold this broken system. Jeremie Lotemo explains that this allegiance has been socialized from a young age. Fathers teach their sons how to dismiss their mothers. Sports initiates kids into a culture of dominance. There is no space for kindness and warmth. To be respected, men have to reject their emotions.

Not only do they feel disconnected from their emotions, but men also feel cut off from the Great Mother. As a result, they don’t know how to take responsibility for their feelings. They have been  taught to pay their emotions no mind, since the world will adjust anyway. This ends up isolating men from themselves, the people they love, and the feminine.

Jeremie urges men to intentionally connect with Mother Earth. They’ll soon realize that the Divine Mother has always been present. When you gain a better understanding of the infinite nature of the feminine, you become more open and unafraid to explore depths. Being in touch with the feminine allows men to fully embody their masculine power. The way men relate to themselves and others is transformed.

Jeremie is a poet, a writer, and a transformation coach from Atlanta. He helps his clients live from their deepest core by integrating their deepest shadows. Previously, he worked as an account manager and graphic designer in advertising. He also hosts his own podcast called Gates of Perception.

17 Nov 2022Tanya Lynn: Healing the Competition Paradigm through Embodied Confidence00:51:32

Tanya talks about embodied confidence and the true meaning of being confident beyond the surface. In the patriarchal lens, women are seen as competitors with one another, but this couldn’t be farther from the truth. Women have had to compete with one another to survive and the role of The Global Sisterhood is to dismantle that. A huge piece to unravelling internalized patriarchy is healing the sister wound, and part of the journey is honoring our sovereignty as individuals while working together as a collective, community, and a sisterhood.

Tanya is the founder of Sistership Circle, a worldwide sisterhood movement aimed at empowering women as well as leading feminine leadership retreats and teaching women to run their own businesses. She is also a tribe leader, web weaver, and author of two books, “Open Your Heart: How to be a New Generation Feminine Leader” and “How to Lead Circle.”

30 Sep 2021Welcome to the Time of the Feminine00:02:21

Welcome to the Time of The Feminine, a podcast hosted by Lauren Walsh and Shaina Conners, stewards of the Global Sisterhood movement. This podcast is meant to inspire you to transform and heal from the patriarchal and colonialist mindsets, rise into your feminine power, and be a leader in a movement that's transforming the world. Lauren and Shaina are on a mission to seed women's circles all over the world because they believe in something that wisdom keepers and prophecies have pointed to...We have entered into the Time of the Feminine Rising. But what does that actually mean? We are on a journey to find out. Be sure to subscribe to never miss an episode!

14 Apr 2022Traver Boehm: Healing Masculinity01:14:28
There is no space for men’s pain. Society expects them to put on brave faces even when they are hurting inside. Men are taught to reject their feelings, and with it, the feminine. In the past, they were once warriors and providers who had to compartmentalize their emotions in order to succeed. But in modern times, men are no longer needed as defenders and breadwinners. Without a clear purpose, men feel lost and act out in harmful ways in order to fill the void.

Instead of chiding men for bad behavior, Traver Boehm believes clear instructions are needed to help them move forward. He proposes a new paradigm of masculinity which combines the primal and the divine, the masculine and the feminine. Society needs to acknowledge the male collective wound. We need to ask men to turn inwards and deal with their thoughts and feelings.

In Traver’s UNcivilized program, men are initiated into a brotherhood by talking about the deep, scary part of themselves. It’s a safe space for them to open up, all the while invoking a sense of challenge that men crave. They learn to become whole by harnessing strength and cultivating kindness.

Traver is the founder of the UNcivilized Men’s Movement. Through coaching and workshops, he gives men a new empowered paradigm with which to express their masculinity. He is the author of Today I Rise, and Man UNcivilized as well as a two time TEDx speaker and podcaster.

What we discuss:

06:38 - The UNcivilized Man paradigm

02 Feb 2023Mare Chapman: Unshakeable Confidence: The Power to be with Ourself to Free Ourself01:06:49

How can one be more mindful? For Mare, it’s helpful to be aware of our conditioning as women in this society. It’s important not to blame ourselves when we realize that we’re giving our power away, when we can’t say our truth, when we shrink, or when we turn against ourselves when we receive harsh judgement. We are not our conditioned patterns and that is the fundamental understanding that takes time to fully understand. Another way is to connect with yourself in the moment, which also includes doing meditation. It’s a simple way to know oneself as you are at a certain moment while cultivating an intimate relationship from within.

Mare Chapman, M.A., is a mindfulness-based feminist therapist, mindfulness teacher, consultant, and author. Building on forty years of clinical experience and thirty years of studying and practicing mindfulness, she is devoted to understanding how internalized misogyny trains women to disconnect from their authenticity, thereby losing their voice and power, and how mindfulness can be applied to transform these habits so women can live fully empowered, vibrant, and healthy lives. Her recently published book, "Unshakeable Confidence, the Freedom to be Our Authentic Selves: Mindfulness for Women", is based on the class she’s been teaching to women in Madison, Wisconsin for over 20 years.

19 Jan 2023Flora Ware: Building a New World to Create a Sacred Third01:05:25

The sacred geometry of the vesica piscis is the two interlocking circles. The two becomes one and creates a sacred third, which is the center of the vesica piscis. That is a symbol that has been with us for millennia as a contemplation to the mystery. Flora Ware’s work as a priestess is to serve that unity consciousness. The moving into the era of the feminine is about the sacred third, and the beginning of this era is seeing so much division and polarization that it needs to polarize so that opposites become as one.

Flora is a Ceremonial Priestess, Cyclic Living Teacher and Sacred Musician who specializes in guiding women to come into harmony with sacred rhythms and express their magic. Through ceremonies, archetypal spirituality and embodiment practices, she helps women hear their soul's voice and awaken the Goddess within.

Flora believes that our voices are magical instruments for healing and manifestation. In 2020, she released an album of pagan chants, Songs for the Wheel of the Year.

Flora is deeply connected to her Celtic ancestral roots, having been on the path as a practicing witch since her first full moon women's circle in 1993. In addition to moon rituals and deep conversations with her soul sisters, Flora loves hiking, swimming, dancing, singing, and eating anything covered in pesto! She lives in Vernon, BC, Canada with her wife and son.

21 Jul 2022S2E1 Lauren and Shaina : A New Cycle Another Season00:30:34

There is so much going on in the world right now and as the divine feminine is rising, her awakening presence is the one doing the shaking and showing the structures that make people feel stuck, their trauma bubbling to the surface.

Amid all this chaos, it is easy to lose hope, which is why for Season 2 on The Time of the Feminine Podcast, Lauren and Shaina’s goal is to cultivate hope so that we listen to the Earth, not get lost in all the shaking, and stay firm in our connection to the divine and the truth within her bodies. Lauren and Shaina are in the process of decomposing, which is letting go of old ways of being like the patriarchal conditioning and pre-existing societal expectations. It is through letting go and surrendering to the current where we find true freedom where we are not attached to material security like money, fame, or career.

Lauren and Shaina also talk about the power of empathy. Through empathy, we can hold a grand range, the vastness of the human experience, and even the brokenness of the world. What makes empathy a superpower is the pulling back of the veil, lifting of the eyes to see clearer, and an intelligence that can hold a great scope of the human experience. This in turn can create effective conversations where people are not blaming or cancelling each other but are being understanding through our similar and different experiences.

Season 2 is a quest to decompose and resolidify in personal and intimate truths as Lauren and Shaina dive into hot button issues through a soulful lens. Join them again every Thursdays as they hear more deep and personal stories and journeys from new guests.

25 May 2023Makhosi Himi Gogo Thule: The Mothermind: Connecting with Ancestors, Dream realms, Rites of Passage and Motherhood01:03:37

Makhosi Himi Gogo Thule is a devoted sangoma, diviner, prayer warrior, and healer. Sangoma is a Zulu term for a seer who brings forth messages from their ancestors to help or serve their community. This gift is a calling & a responsibility rooted in indigenous cultural knowledge.
Makhosi’s work acts as a bridge into shamanic ceremonial traditions from her lived cultural experiences guided by the elevated ancestors of her lineages from Burkina Faso, South Africa, & Ancient Kemet. Her healing practice is rooted in ancient African cosmologies, initiations & spiritual traditions that elevate our consciousness to return harmony within our inner and outer nature. She walks the path of a wisdom keeper devoted to preserving and honoring the ancestral way of healing.
Makhosi details her initiation, where In the Ubungoma tradition is called Ukuthwasa and is a process of cleansing, releasing, death, and rebirth. Similar with the monk path, there are protocols throughout the day that need to be fulfilled, such as dressing up in certain colors, working with plant medicines and different cleanses, and doing prayers, dances, and songs of the tradition. This opens the dreaming tradition wherein you move through this process of cleansing that opens your dreams, lets you see your ancestors who give you instructions, and show you things about yourself that you need to see and understand in order to move on to the next phase of your life. There’s no final date; when you’re shown and the elders see that you’re seeing what you’re supposed to be seeing at that moment, then you pass through the next gate or space and graduate. However, for Makhosi, there’s no such thing as graduation and that life itself is an initiation.

14 Oct 2021Clare Dubois: Reinstating Feminine Consciousness to Save the Earth00:39:01

Grief is our gateway to change. Have you ever been told you’re “too much” because of the crazy amount of feelings you hold?

In this episode of The Time of the Feminine, Clare Dubois pours her heart out about feminine leadership and dealing with grief. We've been numbed by generational undigested trauma that labeled crying as weakness, that pain is meant to be handled alone, or that emotions are for “girls” only. Well, all those are lies.

Here, Clare shares why we can only heal the planet if we acknowledge its desecration - if we let ourselves grieve the dying trees and shed tears for the suffering of fellow beings. Also, she talks about how she built TreeSisters, ways to overcome our fear of failure, and what it takes to be a feminine leader.

Clare Dubois is the founder of TreeSisters, a social change and reforestation charity that activates nature-based feminine leadership while restoring humanity’s relationship with nature.

What we discuss…

5:30 - How to overcome your fear of failure, and why Clare built TreeSisters

10:43 - Why letting yourself grieve means letting yourself love

14:05 - What made us numb to our relationship with each other and the world?

18:40 - It's love, not hope, that heals grief

24:23 - How to build intimacy with ourselves and one another in our current world

26:00 – Why we fail to receive the kind of love we give

27:13 - Cosmic stain removal: what is it and why do you need it?

31:29 - Why avoiding your feelings reflects irresponsibility

33:30 - The role models women need are those who embody femininity instead of trying to be a man

37:30 - What is Mother Gaia's message to us?

10 Feb 2022Aekta Kapoor: The Paradox of India’s Patriarchy00:58:24

In India, women were taught to be good wives and mothers—and sadly this still holds true in many parts of the country. Despite being a goddess-worshiping culture, Indian society still upholds outdated patriarchal views. Hindu mythology has great reverence for warrior goddesses, for they have the capacity to be both nurturing and destructive at the same time.

The admiration for the divine feminine has not been translated into respect for women as human beings, which is evident in the alarming rates of gender-based violence across India. One of the reasons for this inequality is the suppression of the feminine in ancient scriptures. In holy texts, we find stories of women being abused and punished. This tradition has been passed down from generation to generation, and now it’s embedded patriarchal systems in the collective psyche. Women are not treated as unique individuals; they are treated as pieces that keep the patriarchal system in place.

These conservative values are what Aekta Kapoor grew up to believe. Soon after obtaining her bachelor’s degree, she quickly got married like the rest of her peers. When she had a spiritual awakening at age 30, she discovered that she was meant for something more. She left her husband and took on her first job as an editor at a publishing house. In the coming years, her career grew and she worked with famed websites and magazines.

After decades of being in the industry, Aekta felt disillusioned with her work. Instead of empowering women, she felt as if magazines pulled women down by focusing on celebrities and models. She found it limiting for women to focus on their bodies instead of their minds and spirits. This prompted Aekta to create eShe, to feature women and girls so they could be heard.

Aekta is the founder and editor of eShe magazine, a digital magazine based in India and Canada. After decades as a journalist and editor for prestigious publications like Maire Claire, Penguin Books, Harper's Bazaar Bride, and others, she felt inspired to create her own platform that amplified women’s voices and stories about our shared humanity. She is also a founding member of the South Asia Peace Action Network. Through her writing, workshops, and other initiatives, she aims to promote social justice, gender equality, and peacebuilding.

What we discuss:

04:56 - Aekta’s story of growth and change

09:06 - Opened eyes through spiritual practice

12:00 - Going against India's societal norms and the stigma of divorce

13 Jan 2022Ash Johns: Reclaiming the Self through Collective Ancestral Healing00:53:52

Surviving is certainly not the same thing as thriving. According to today’s guest, lineage healer Ash Johns, we’ve all inherited unconscious beliefs and dysfunctional patterns of behavior from our ancestors. Generations of compounded trauma reside within us and around us, preventing us from pursuing self-actualized lives.

How do we unlearn and heal from these deep-seated wounds? We cannot do it alone. Ancestral healing is the answer. By connecting to our predecessors, we can collectively let go of our old ways and embrace a new path forward. Ash explains the process of her lineage work and how it’s a continuous exercise of growth and wisdom. Communing with our ancestors not only allows for a deeper relationship with them, but also with the self.

Ash is a certified psychospiritual life coach, ancestral healer, and conscious business strategist. After 10 years in advertising, she left the industry to start Ancestral Healing Space. Her mission is to make ancestral connection and healing accessible to as many people as possible. By helping her clients identify and heal from generational wounds, they are able to live with more purpose, power, and freedom; and become better equipped to incite positive cultural change.

15 Jun 2023Araba Ofori-Acquah: Channeling the Ancestors and African Spiritual Wisdom01:04:18

What did Araba’s journey to reclamation look like? Her journey to reconnecting with her roots was intertwined with her mental health journey as she struggled with depression and anxiety during her early to mid-20s. However, she finally eventually found her way to therapy after years of resistance which, for communities of color, is not widely talked about, accepted, or seen as part of life. Her journey to healing had been attached to her identity which, going into therapy, would serve as the foundation for her book. From understanding her Ghanian heritage and eventually grieving the loss of her grandmother, this had led her to reconnect with her culture as well as beginning her spiritual journey to healing.

Araba is a healer, cultural curator, DJ and award-winning writer interested in the preservation of African past and the reimagining of African future. She lives and teaches African-centred wellness, a practice rooted in African wisdom that promotes the wellbeing and empowerment of the global Black community. 03 Aug 2023Toko-pa Turner: Living in Between Dreams, Realms, and Reality00:49:08

Our dreams are a form of communication; to get our attention and for us to actively tend to them. Whether it’s a good dream or a bad one, our dreams want to tell us something we might not have listened to while we were awake. However, scary dreams tell us another thing. Maybe we haven’t tended to them in some way for lack of resources to understand, while also trying to escape the difficulty in our lives in various ways, whether that looks like imbibing social media, other addictions, and various forms of escapism. But once we tend to our dreams that tend to us, we end up responding differently to the world around us. What do our dreams tell us and what are the insights and wisdom from the images we see in our dreams?

Toko-pa, whose name was chosen from her parents from a book of poems called “Technicians of the Sacred” by Jerome Rothenberg, is a Canadian author, teacher, and dreamworker. She is known for her work in exploring the realms of dreams, creativity, and the human psyche. Through her writings and teachings, Toko-pa delves into the significance of dreaming, the healing power of storytelling, and the importance of embracing one's authentic self. She has authored books such as "Belonging: Remembering Ourselves Home," and her website serves as a platform where she shares her insights, teachings, and workshops on these topics.

24 Mar 2022Raven Rose: Woman's Mysticism through Dreamtime, Plants and Womb00:56:40

The menstrual cycle is often associated with negativity—it’s seen as shameful, gross, and too emotional. Society has long been conditioning women to hide this naturally powerful part of themselves. Womb healer and herbalist Raven Rose urges us to reframe the way we see menstruation. The phases of our menstrual cycle are like seasons. Each new season brings an opportunity for release, transformation, and creativity. There is a mysticism present in the connection between our womb spaces and the sun, moon, and planets. Instead of judging our bodies, try to be more attuned to it because the answers that we seek can be found within.

Just like how our menstrual cycles intuitively guide us, our dreams can also provide insight on what we’re experiencing and what’s to come. Dreams are the body’s way of communicating with us. Raven suggests keeping dream journals. Don’t attempt to interpret your dreams immediately after writing them down. Read your dreams out loud and meditate on them to see what comes up. Dreambooks can be helpful, but ultimately, symbols within dreams are context-specific. Plants can help enhance dreams, making them more vivid, immersive, or memorable. Dreams not only remind us to turn inward for clarity, but they also remind us of our connection to the Earth and our shared journey with all that has life.

Raven is an herbalist, Kambo practitioner, and womb healer. She is the founder of Moon Medicine, an intuitive practice that helps women balance their menstrual cycles through natural remedies and ancestral medicine. With Raven’s guidance, women learn to release toxic programming and generational trauma in the womb—allowing them to live fully cyclical and creative lives.

What we discuss:

03:17 - Raven's “limitless” transformation

08:45 - Dreamwork practice

18:03 - Enhance dreams through plant spirit connections

30 Mar 2023Linda Star Wolf: Waking up to the Bigger Picture01:29:49

The hardship makes the medicine—some of the new age movements make you feel guilty for going through something with some fundamentalist religions saying that you are being punished or it’s your bad karma for being sick. The truth gets twisted, and we have religions and organizations manipulating that narrative. However, for Star Wolf, we came here to take on karma. We came here to take on the light and the dark of this planet. Much like the earthworm turning decay into hummus, we would not be here without the creatures like the earthworm. We also don’t advance just by meditation; we mainly need people to meditate with to get clear, clean up our own act, become authentic, and own and work with our own shadows. We came here in this earth to be fully embodied: heart, body, mind, soul, and spirit. We must be in it, be participating, and paying attention to what’s happening in the world.

Linda Star Wolf has been a visionary teacher and shamanic guide to thousands of people over the last 35 years. Starting out as a therapist in the mental health and addictions fields in the 1980’s, Star Wolf is a nationally certified alcohol and drug counselor who draws from her personal experience of recovery from addiction.

The author of several books, she is the creator of Shamanic Breathwork®, the co-creator of the Shamanic Healing Initiatory Process (SHIP), and the Founder of Venus Rising Association for Transformation, a non-profit organization, and Founder and President of Venus Rising University for Shamanic Psychospiritual Studies. Star Wolf is also the co-founder of the Shamanic Mystery Tours and takes spiritual seekers all over world to explore sacred shamanic sites.

In 2003, Star Wolf and her late husband, Brad Collins, co-founded the Isis Cove Community and Retreat Center in the Blue Mountains of western North Carolina.

24 Nov 2021Vivien Vilela: Upholding Ancient Wisdom to Heal the Planet01:06:34

The biggest problem in the world is our disconnection from nature. How do we solve this?

This Time of the Feminine episode features spiritual healer, philanthropist, and activist, Vivien Vilela, as she reveals her journey from the dehumanizing world of modeling to the Amazon jungle. As a successful model, Vivien felt life wasn’t that hard until she woke up to the grim realities of her industry and, later on, to her father’s suicide. Lost and empty, she sought comfort in self-destructive ways – drugs, mindless materialism, meaningless relationships.

But what saved her from oblivion isn’t mere therapy. Having connected with indigenous elders in the Amazon, Vivien faced her demons with an ancient shamanic vision quest. She tapped into a sacred world that surpasses all understanding and from then on, she dedicated her life to saving others and the planet through the preservation of indigenous culture and wisdom.

Here, she talks about how to harness the energy of nature into your being, where dark energy comes from, and why she doesn’t believe in charity. She also addresses the issue on commercializing spirituality and gives tips on manifesting a fulfilled life!

Vivien Vilela is the co-founder of the Boa Foundation, a non-profit organization collaborating with indigenous communities to preserve and protect sacred land, culture, and ancient wisdom. Aniwa Gathering, one of her projects, is an annual 4-day event where indigenous leaders convene to give workshops to international community and discuss the world’s most pressing issues.

21 Apr 2022Jamie Elizabeth Thompson: Pleasure with Power and Purpose01:08:56

The Great Feminine Divide—as Jamie Elizabeth Thompson calls it— starts in childhood. From a young age, most girls were bought up to believe that sex is taboo. But sexuality is a natural and essential aspect of human nature, and we intuitively know this. The lack of safe spaces prevents women from exploring their sexuality so instead they carry shame about having erotic thoughts and desires. This ancient distortion still persists today to control the feminine.

To overcome this repression, women need to discern between their sexual truths and social conditioning. Question the rules and ask why you follow them. Delineate between what you truly believe and what you’ve been taught to believe. Don’t be afraid to dive into your sexuality, for that too is a spiritual path to the divine.

For so many women, sexuality only exists within relationships. Only with a partner do they feel safe to release their erotic side. Jamie encourages women to continue their pursuit of pleasure with themselves and with fellow sisters. Women can create their own contexts of sensuality without following limiting patterns. By fully embodying our erotic nature, there is a deeper sense of self-knowing. When we fully approve of ourselves, we cannot be easily swayed by outside forces who want to control us.

Jamie is a holistic sex coach who equips individuals and couples with tools to help them break out of limiting sex patterns to have a more fulfilling intimate life. She is the founder of Awakened Woman, a curriculum and community for women to reconnect with their feminine sensuality and power and turn on their orgasmic potential.

What we discuss:

08:32 - Jamie's sexual liberation

13:06 - Reconnecting spirituality with sexuality

20 Oct 2022Betty Kovacs: Divine Masculine and Feminine Throughout History & In Within Us01:17:55

Betty Kovacs returns for another episode to share her wisdom on the topic of masculinity and femininity. She has been teaching throughout the years the masculine and feminine duality of individuals. To Betty, it is important to know and remember that these masculine and feminine images are archetypes and symbols of realities and potentialities within each one of us. When we are born male or female, we will tend to have certain tendencies nurtured by society as well as biologically. However, as we grow, we nurture tendencies more than the other and when we relate to other people, we are learning constantly about the way we look at the world.

Betty Kovacs is a professor of literature, writing, and symbolic mythic language of 25 years and is the author of “Merchants of Light: The Consciousness That Is Changing the World”. She won the Nautilus Silver Book Award and the Scientific & Medical Network 2019 Book Prize and has also written “The Miracle of Death: There Is Nothing But Life.”

11 Aug 2022Marysia Miernowska: Healing Humanity With Plant Spirits00:57:30

Why do we feel burnt out? Marysia Miernowska explains that our extractive capitalist culture is to blame. The modern world equates self-worth to productivity, pushing people to work past their limits. It’s not just our bodies that are suffering, but the Earth as well. To combat burnout, we must value rest. We must re-learn the pace of growth and healing—processes which take time. We cannot recover faster than the pace of recovery.

During rest, take the opportunity to reconnect with the self and with nature. All of life is made of the same soil as the Earth. The interconnected web of life is the reason we exist. One of the ways we can establish a relationship with the Earth is through plant work. Something as simple as preparing tea from specific herbs can help us feel grounded. The world conditions us to chase after highs and instant gratification. But what we really need is to be present in the moment, to remember our values, and to be compassionate to all beings. By allotting time to heal, we can prevent depletion of ourselves and of natural resources.

Marysia is an Earth activist, folk herbalist, and director of The School of the Sacred Wild. She apprenticed with Sage Maurer of The Gaia School of Healing. As a medicine maker, Marysia grows organic and biodynamic herbs in Malibu. She co-founded Rituel Beauty and formulates products for other ethical companies such as Foria. She is also the author of The Witch's Herbal Apothecary.

What we discuss:

03:04 - Embodying the living earth

08:36 - Sacredness in the mundane

12:04 - Marysia’s herbalism journey

20:38 - Bringing balance to our bodies and the earth

03 Mar 2022Lauren and Shaina: Healing the Judgment Wound00:36:30

Why do we judge each other? Instead of facing the wounds we carry, we project them onto other people. Ironically, we fear criticism and yet we participate in it too. This fear of being misunderstood and betrayed is deeply ingrained in our psyches—especially in women who have been historically excluded and condemned. It doesn’t help that Western culture, religion, and education teaches us to consistently find fault because of the core belief that we are inadequate.

We judge others in an attempt to avoid greater intimacy in relationships. But we also judge others so we can feel like we’re part of an in-group. We judge ourselves so we can correct our imperfections and gain acceptance. At the core of it all, we judge because we want to feel safe and welcome. If we are truly honest, we find that inner work needs to be done to resolve our pain. The only way forward is to address our personal and ancestral traumas, not to create imaginary enemies outside ourselves.

How do we become more compassionate? When we have a negative thought about someone, trace it back to yourself. Try to examine why that came up. Another way to become more mindful is by holding space in your community. The role of a facilitator pushes you to look at unsavory parts of yourself while the community heals alongside you. Lastly, just be graceful towards yourself. As you become kinder to your own body, you will naturally extend that same kindness to others.

What we discuss:

01:00 - The root of judgment

06:20 - Why are we afraid of judgment?

08:17 - Criticism as a defense mechanism

16:19 - Awareness and forgiveness of our ugly parts

23:17 - Global Sisterhood was born out of vulnerability

26:00 - How to embody grace and compassion

33:37 - We don’t need more enemies

15 Sep 2022Mikaela De La Myco: Being a Mother for Mushroom Medicine01:06:19

During and before the witch trials in Europe, most of the medicine had come from land and the people who were tending land knew how to use and turn these plants into medicines. Reproductive actions such as knowing which plants were reproductive or abortifacients were outlawed and considered evil. People with knowledge in practicing plants were removed, stigmatized, and criminalized. Nowadays, the stigma remains and we still call alternative medicine “folk medicine”. In this podcast, it is Mikaela’s goal to legitimize and spread awareness on the significance and benefits of plant and mushroom medicine among mainstream, pharmaceutical medicine.

Mikaela De La Myco is a multicultural and indigenous woman whose education path led her to sacred intimacy work, temple arts, indigenous Mexican ceremony, and womb healing, facilitation & tradition. Her primary work is medicine work, particularly mushroom medicine, to heal and uncover physical and spiritual wounds.

26 Jan 2023Adah Parris: Cyborg Shamanism01:12:22

The world has multiple religion and belief systems to offer, and yet people are still seeking for ways on how to connect with each other, the environment, and higher beings to understand reality and the world we live in. Adah noticed how as people sought new religion, they were using plant medicine and sound meditation to connect with and understand the self, each other, and the environment, kind of like how we use digital technology. Enter cyborg shamanism—which is the coexistence of cyborgs, using digital hardware to augment the biological, and the shaman, using ecological and organic technology to augment and help us understand ourselves. Adah explores this new concept as well as her ancestral journey, mediumship, and how cyborg shamanism can help us further understand each other and our environment.

Adah is a polymath and activist exploring the intersection of ecology, technology, innovation, and art. She is a Chair of the Mental Health First Aid England and The Advisory Group of the Center for Cultural Value. Her advocacy is social justice and mental health awareness. She is also a fellow of The Royal Center of the Arts and the creator of “Cyborg Shamanism”, a philosophy that combines ancient wisdom, indigenous practice, and digital technology to inspire innovation and encourage people to consider the kind of ancestors they want to be. In 2020, 2021 and 2022, Adah was long-listed as one of the Most Influential Women in UK Technology. In 2019, she was recognised as one of TED Talks Global Emerging Innovators. In 2018, she was recognised as one of the UK’s Top 100 Black and Minority Ethnic (BAME) Leaders in Technology.

29 Dec 2022Lauren and Shaina: Psychic Protection, Spiritual Guides and Mediumship00:55:09

The Time of the Feminine Podcast hosts Shaina Connors and Lauren Walsh explore into the root of the imbalance that has caused disconnection and dysfunction within humanity and explore the rise of the feminine to restore balance to the world. In this episode, Shaina and Lauren discuss mediumship, the phenomenon of communicating with spirits or the deceased.

To begin the conversation, Lauren reads a prayer for the consecration of words, asking for protection and guidance as they delve into a vulnerable and potentially scary topic. Shaina and Lauren share their personal experiences with mediumship, including their own awakenings to empathetic and clairvoyant gifts and the challenges that can come with having such abilities.

The hosts also discuss the opportunity for women to work with two powerful, humble mediums in the Amazon rainforest in January, who will teach empathetic and clairvoyant gifts to those who desire to use them for the healing of their family lineages and to plant seeds for a new time on Earth.

Shaina and Lauren also touch on the importance of discernment in the mediumship process, as well as the responsibility that comes with using these gifts. They encourage listeners to trust their own experiences and not to be afraid of the unknown, as it can lead to growth and healing.

In conclusion, Shaina and Lauren remind listeners that the rise of the feminine is about creating a new story on Earth and paving the way for a more balanced and harmonious future. By exploring and embracing our own gifts and abilities, we can contribute to this new narrative and work towards creating a better world for all.

11 May 2023Riane Eisler: From Domination to Partnership01:07:57

As a holocaust survivor, Riane has witnessed both enormous violence, but also spiritual courage. It’s not the courage that we are thought to think of, but the courage to stand up against injustice under love. Her experiences led her to ask questions that we are all asking today: does it have to be this way? Especially when we have such an enormous capacity for caring, consciousness, and creativity. Through her experience, humans were told that we are bad and that we must be rigidly controlled from the top; to instill a fear of God. We have not been told what to build to move to a more caring, sensitive, sustainable, and equitable place. Riane developed new categories through observation and research and what became clear is that for millennia, in our prehistory, humans’ cultural direction is in the direction of the configuration of the partnership system, such as gender partnership and gender equity which are important pillars and components of that partnership system. For Riane, we are now in a time of reclamation and a tipping point, but the issue is which way will it tip?

Riane Eisler, JD, PhD(h), is the recipient of many honors, such as the Distinguished Peace Leadership Award earlier given to the Dalai Lama, and internationally known for her groundbreaking contributions as a systems scientist, futurist, and cultural historian. She is author of many books, including The Chalice and the Blade, now in its 57th US printing and 27 foreign editions, The Real Wealth of Nations, hailed by Nobel Peace Laureate Desmond Tutu as "a template for the better world we have been so urgently seeking," and Nurturing Our Humanity, Oxford University Press, 2019, co-authored with Douglas P. Fry.

Eisler’s innovative whole-systems research offers new perspectives and practical tools for constructing a less violent, more egalitarian, gender-balanced, and sustainable future. Eisler is President of the Center for Partnership Systems, which provides practical applications of her work, and Editor in Chief of the online Interdisciplinary Journal of Partnership Studies published at the University of Minnesota.
