It's only his second time hosting, but Benedict Cumberbatch earned an open invitation to host Saturday Night Live whenever he'd like. It was an episode that tackled Roe v. Overall, a great host with some genuinely excellent written and excecuted sketches equals the agreed-upon favorite episode of Season 47.

In solidarity with Saturday Night Live having two hosts this week, the Ten to One Podcast also went with the stellar two-some of Ben and Nate as Braddy Two Shoes was under the weather. Fresh off the success of Top Gun: Maverick, mustache-less Miles Teller kicked off the first episode of SNL Season 48. Ben thought the episode was a decrescendo, Nate wondered when Ben learned about musical theory, and Brad fell in love with a spotted lanternfly. We were all impressed with Michael Longfellow and unimpressed with a weird roided-out Grimace. It was an episode of a few highs and many lows, but altogether rejoicing that Saturday Night Live is back again.

As much as it pains Nate to admit, Ben and Bradford's predictions were right; Jake Gyllenhaal was a great SNL host. And while the episode wasn't the best of the season, there was some clever Bowen Yang green screening, impeccable HGTV satire, and Sarah Sherman terrorizing the world as Chucky. The guys also talk about David Spade's book, former castmembers they'd like to see host, and what level of emotional intimacy Jost and Che need to show to appease Bradford Oman.

Brad thinks Jason Kelce seems like a real good time, Nate is frustrated that the other two can't pronounce Gheorghe Mureșan correctly, and Ben is in awe of some Dilbert cosplay.
