The Song of the Olive Press (Anna Moore)

In this podcast, we think a bit about the great mystery of a Christian life. Finding hope in the valley, joy in the olive press, and becoming coworkers with God. And we look a little more at the mystery of faith.

In this podcast we think about healing. And why, when the scriptures tell us - Jesus healed everyone who came to Him - do we find sickness among His sheep. Of course this is far too complex a question to answer here but I present some ideas to meditate on and light from the Holy Spirit.  

Philippians 1:9-21 we are brought face to face with Paul’s suffering. Paul is speaking about the fruit, the blessings coming out of his suffering. But it is suffering nonetheless.

One of the most important ideas in this podcast is the difference between speaking the truth and bearing witness to the truth. We speak the truth when what we say is true, we bear witness to the truth when the truth has become a part of our lives through what the Holy Spirit has taken us through.

In this podcast we think about, what does it mean, that our Father will give us the desires of our hearts. And what did David mean when he told us to delight ourselves in the Lord. 

In this podcast we look at the value of our inner lives and our outer lives. And hopefully we begin to understand the great value of our suffering for Christ's sake. The guitar music was written and played by Roba  Lakou

In this podcast we will look at our Olive Press from the perspective of fruit. Jesus tells us in John 15 that fruit is essential to us. Therefore we must treat everything that brings fruit into our lives with the value it deserves. Even if it is an Olive Press.

I had been thinking about the beauty and brilliance of the crucifixion. How it perfectly revealed the nature of God, bringing glory to our Father, winning our complete salvation, and defeating the devil. All this in one single act.
