Traci Ciepiela was an active, healthy, triathlete and Criminal Justice college professor who loved to travel. It was because of her desire to travel on a cruise that required her to receive a covid shot. Unfortunately, the adverse reactions from that shot have left Traci with debilitating injuries. In May of 2021, Hannah Sparks was so excited when she found out she was accepted into the graduate program of her dreams. To enroll, it was mandatory for Hannah to get the Covid vaccine. Even after experiencing an immediate reaction after the first shot, the program insisted she get a second dose. Thus started the journey of Hannah’s dreams turning into a nightmare. Hannah is now disabled, unable to work, and too ill to complete school. She has been through several surgeries and continues to need more. There is no help coming from our government, which she had trusted. Currently, not only is she in need of funds for medical treatments, she is also in need of housing. At age 23, Trent Lieffring was an extremely fit and healthy college student. Although Trent did not need the Covid vaccine, he made the decision to take it after listening to his Biology Professor make a speech on getting it for the good of others. After receiving two doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine, he later suffered from cardiac arrest and brain damage, likely caused by blood clots. Trent remained in a vegetative state until his passing on August 24, 2023, with his death certificate noting a reaction to the vaccine as a contributing factor. His parents,Andy Lieffring and Kimberly Aveyah, share their very tragic story in hopes that the light of Trent’s life will help others see more clearly and that we might all get a glimpse of their beloved son’s sweet soul. Welcome to the React19 Podcast! React19 is a science-based non-profit offering financial, physical, and emotional support for those suffering from long-term Covid-19 vaccine adverse events, globally. We wanted to launch the podcast by helping you get to know the team members who lead the support and advocacy groups that React19 offers. In this interview, you will get to know Julie Woods, HBBP, React19 Support Group Coordinator. Julie was a very active volleyball player who had just finished her undergrad in behavioral psychology. She was starting on her master’s in counseling when she became injured from the Covid vaccine. Because of her vaccine injury, and knowing how overwhelmed and abandoned one can feel, Julie knows how important it is to be connected with others who also understand this. She is using her knowledge and skills to help facilitate REACT19 support groups that can help others feel seen, heard, and believed.
