The other day on Instagram I shared that Jason and I were setting our goals for the year, and I got a lot of messages from people asking how we set all of our goals. We set goals in multiple areas including: faith, financial, relationships, and health. So today I'm sharing with you how we go about setting all of our goals.

What have we conditioned ourselves to do, based on the fact that 'that's the way I've always done it?' Today I want to talk to you about the importance of remembering and recording all the good things God has done for you. There are 2 scriptures in the book of Psalms (9:1 and 103:2) that I encourage you to study. In times we when are struggling or frustrated, we need to be able to look back at all the blessings we have been given, God's kind and marvelous works. Instead of only focusing on writing down your goals or to-do lists, focus on writing down how good God has been to you each day!

Do you know who your ideal customer avatar is? I'm talking about knowing this client so well, you know where they live, what they do, how old they are and what they want. What are her pain points? It's going to be hard to sell your products if you don't know who you are selling them to! There are many ways you can figure out who your ideal customer avatar is, down to every tiny detail. Friends, if you have not taken the time to hone in on who your perfect client is, also known as an avatar, it's time to do that right now.

I love the concept of leaving the ladder down—meaning leave a path for those behind you to follow in your success. So WHOOPS this episode was supposed to come out the day before the election but things got switched up! I can blame 2020 right?? BUT things don’t have to be perfect, and even though it’s been almost a week since the election, I still feel like this podcast is very relevant to what we are experiencing as a country! If you have been experiencing anxiety, and wondering how we will forward, I have a message for you! When the world feels out of control, Jesus is still King. 

You can feel two different emotions simultaneously. You can want two things at the same time that are not in alignment with one another. I can want to go on vacation, but also want to be safe. I can feel joy and excitement over our adoption of Ari and feel some grief. You don’t have to be stuck in a single emotion that is stealing your peace and crushing your spirit. What will give you joy today? Find a way to make it happen. Do something that will give you air and give you life, even if it means you have to navigate multiple feelings or make modifications. 

My inbox has been blowing up lately with people asking me my thoughts on Parler, the new social media app that’s kind of like Twitter! I know Parler has had a TON of traffic the last few days—not only that but there's many more new alternative apps as well like MeWe who are competing with Facebook and Twitter With all these new social networks coming to the scene, will there really be a mass exit on Facebook?? What story do you have that plays in your head that may be totally wrong? Are you willing to challenge your thinking, try something new or different, and see if it results in a new mindset? For my entire life, I thought I was someone who couldn't wear heels. My mom didn't wear heels, I never tried them, I just thought they were not for me...until my Equipped conference last year. I was challenged to give them a try and now I LOVE heels! The heels represent something much bigger. Listen in as we dig deeper into false mindsets.

As I look at my exercise journey over the last 20 years, I have found some really big connections to my business progress. I can see how when I am disciplined in areas of my life like exercise, I am more disciplined in my business. There is definitely truth to the saying—how you do anything is how you do everything! I also know that because God has called me to do big, scary things physically like compete in a triathlon, I can now do big, scary things in my business like have my own conference! Mark Zuckerberg just dropped some big news - Meta Verification is here! It's the new paid service that lets you get that coveted blue checkmark on Facebook and Instagram. Not only does it legitimize you but it also keeps the impersonators away and gets you better customer service. But there are some concerns that the option to pay for verification could diminish the value of verified accounts across the board. So, let's take a closer look at this new subscription service and see if it's something you should go for right away or wait it out.

Would you rather be right or righteous? One is God-centered and the other is to be self-centered. Between the election and the holiday season, there will be many opportunities to be right or righteous. At the end of the day, being one or the other all comes down to decisions and choices. I hope this episode encourages you follow your faith and make the choice to do what's best in God's eyes.

This week I was thinking of ways we measurement different things and I really focused on some of the ways we measure Christlike behavior. The Lord really spoke to me about repentance and obedience. You may feel like you don’t know what to do right now. You are overwhelmed with all you see and hear on social media and the news. I want to encourage you to start by looking at your life and relationship. Where do you need to repent and where do you need to be obedient. Listen in as we start there.

This week's episode is for anyone who is tired of having to see "setting goals for January" posts all over the internet. And though goals are amazing and it's great to plan out the rest of the year and your business, it's also ok to stop and be realistic about how much you can actually handle. So if you don't feel like setting all of those goals, don't. Here's how you can still have focus without dealing with a huge to-do list.

It's time for a little tough love. I've heard the term "Imposter Syndrome" being used a lot lately- and I think it's time to take a look at what you're ACTUALLY feeling when you say that. Today I'll break down what "Imposter Syndrome" is by definition, why that term doesn't make sense, and how to move past it by looking at the root cause of your insecurity. 

You know by now that I am anti-hustle and all about making God and your family the first priority in your life. There's a trap I see a lot of women fall in.... and it's overworking themselves because they are RUNNING from the big, hard, and scary things at home. Friend, if you are overworking I want to get to the root of why this episode. Rest is so important for you to be at your best.

I have talked about this before, but because of some recent changes in a health and wellness direct sales company, I wanted to talk about it again. Sometimes the enemy can use distraction to take your focus off where it needs to be. However, I think God can also use something in our lives as a way to distract us in a good way. In the past few days, God has been using the messy times in the history of my marriage to Jason to remind me and teach me what I need to be doing right now. Jason and I have never come out of hard times without a lot of hard conversation, without gaining the other partner's perspective, without reflection, without looking at each other's point of view. But when we have done those things, we always come out stronger on the other side.

I had a moment of realization that this feels similar to our nation’s current struggles. My prayer is that we are all doing the hard work right now so that our country will come out of this stronger than ever before.

In this life, we will have trouble. There will be battles, warfare, and resistance. This is one of the reasons I'm drawn to war movies. There's something about watching a story about good and evil that reminds me to take the territory that God has given to me. When we have a business calling from God, it's tempting to play small and not go into the territory he has for us. But God wants us to rely on him when we are going through hard or scary times. Friend, be encouraged that He has completely protected.  

It's very important to keep momentum in your business because once you lose it, it's super hard to get it back! When you have a very creative brain, consistency equals boredom. Listen in and I'll give you my most effective tips for staying consistent especially when I don't feel like it!

Today I’m getting super vulnerable. I’m talking about something that most entrepreneurs will experience at some point in their life but may not even know exists- Adrenal Fatigue. I truly believe that God can use a creative biz owner's craft as her catalyst. He did it in my own business coaching and He recently did this for my friend and fellow creative business owner Tracey Bellion. In this episode, Tracey is sharing her story of how she was able to make a big shift in her furniture painting business during a major health crisis.
