18 Aug 2023Jeff Plankenhorn00:46:36

Our first guest is guitar and resonator whiz Jeff Plankenhorn. Jeff took the leap in 2016 from side-man to front man. The former lead player/harmony singer for Ray Wylie Hubbard, Joe Ely, Slaid Cleaves and others was writing his own songs and wanted to turn his focus there...and boy did he hit the ground running!

With his new album ‘Alone at Sea’ coming out in September, we thought this would be a great time to sit with Plank and hear his ‘List’.

Jeff Plankenhorn: Esteemed Gueset
Bill Poss: Host and Producer
Dana Anderson: Executive Producer
Garrett Burris: Sound Engineer and Producer, theme song Composer
JJ Passalacqua: Voiceovers and special guest vocalist

The Guest List is about songwriters, their most impactful songs, and the stories behind them. Bill Poss, a notable troubadour in his own right, is your host and executive producer. Each episode, we ask a traveling North American songwriter to perform their 5 most popular/requested songs -- all in front of a live, invite only, studio audience at the Poss Music Works headquarters in Effingham, IL.

Garrett Burris is your audio engineer and producer. JJ Passalacqua with the weather.

It's right where you've always wanted to be - on The Guest List!

Presented by Poss Music Works, a 501 (c)3 NFP based out of Effingham, IL -- presenters of Moccasin Creek Festival, Summer Sundown Music Festival, Little Grassy Get Down, Little Grassy Winter Songwriters' Retreat, one-off concerts, workshops, and kids' events throughout Central and Southern Illinois.

Episode 2 of The Guest List presented by Poss Music Works features the fabulous Jaimee Harris.

Jaimee Harris is a songwriter and performer, originally from near Waco, then Austin, TX...now from Nashville, TN. She talks with Bill about her new album ‘Boomerang Town’ and plays her greatest hits for us! Her songs are hauntingly beautiful and uplifting and what a treat it is to hear her speak about how they came to be.

This is our final episode with Dana Anderson as our Executive Producer and we send it out in his memory. Dana was a pivotal figure in creating and guiding this podcast into existence. His passion for songwriting, his musical legacy, will live on. Godspeed, brother.

Episode 5 of The Guest List features National Park Radio.

National Park Radio is not a radio show about hiking in Yellowstone, or white water rafting in the Rockies. It is a musical force to be reckoned with. The husband and wife duo, formed in Arkansas in 2012, has hit the road hard over the last 10+ years with their huge and soaring brand of folk rock.

We were lucky to pluck them off the road and into PMW headquarters for an intimate show...and what a show it was. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the sounds of National Park Radio!
