12 Aug 2023028: Fili-what? ? Like a Horse? The Religion of Filianism & Deanism with Jaia Filyani01:08:54

Early on in Season 2, you may recall me complaining about the Filianists and how hard it was to track down the practitioners of the Filianism and Deanism religion or anyone associated with the book, “The Chapel of Our Mother God: The Scripture of the World’s First Faith.” Thanks to the miracle of social media that is sometimes horrid but also sometimes helpful, today’s guest, Jo, and another woman reached out to me when I posted a rant about my frustration. So today Jo is here to tell us all about Filianism, what it is and isn’t, where it came from, and how people are quietly practicing this Goddess religion today.

Jo, who also goes by Jaia Filyani, is one of the small but dedicated (and ever growing!) group of people who deeply believe in Dea (their preferred term for Goddess). Jo is in the process of getting her bachelor’s degree in social work to be followed immediately by a master's program, and she has 2 minors, one in history and the other in health communication. She lives in Texas and has always been fascinated by religion, yet unable to connect with the common forms of it around her, which were mainly Protestant or Lutheran Christianity. She created her online presence to educate people who have found themselves searching for a religion that might find Filianism is a good fit for them.

FOLLOW:   You can find Jo online and learn all about Filianism at her YouTube channel, on Instagram @aboutfilianism, and Tumblr at jaiafilyani. You can also contact Jo directly if you have questions about Deanism and Filianism  on Facebook or send an email to: filianicstudies@gmail.com.

22 Apr 2023025: Doe! A Deer a Female Deer…Antlered Goddesses & Women with Dr. Carla Ionescu01:19:42

Dr. Ionescu is back in the hot seat today! As sort of a follow up to the episode about horned Goddesses that she did on her podcast, The Goddess Project, today we talk about the mythology, folklore, and symbolism of antlered women and antlered Goddesses. These are ideas woven into cultures and spiritual beliefs that cross time, geography, and millennia.

The “Gather Victoria” website and article,  ‘Doe, A Deer, A Female Reindeer: The Spirit Of Winter Solstice’ that I mentioned: gathervictoria.com

The YouTube video, ‘156. Deer goddess of Sovereignty in Slavic myth’ that I mentioned: youtube.com/wolfofcoins/slavic

The YouTube channel is Wolf of Coins, and the artist’s name is Magdalena. Apparently Tarot, Oracle, and Lenormand cards are her thing, but she has a playlist called “Slavic pagan stuff.”

The pillow I showed during this episode is, as I said, a piece of art that I had printed on fabric and then asked my wife to sew into a pillowcase for me; because she’s awesome and I can’t even sew a button on.

11 May 2024052: From the Goddess with Laura Hirch01:04:51

Laura Hirch is an independent conscious filmmaker, journalist and artist. Her works center women, healing, spirituality, mysticism and art. She calls herself a spiritual feminist and an eco feminist, and both of these paths define her creative work. She has studied journalism in Munich, where she was born and raised, and documentary filmmaking in Los Angeles.

Laura is the creator of the independently produced 6-part docuseries FROM THE GODDESS which investigates the central role of the Great Goddess in early history and modern times and explores the concept of Her in many different aspects - from archaeology to social science, art and thealogy. Its aim is to show women that we have played an important role in earlier societies, having been not only worshipped as the creatrix of life but also the bearer of community and a source of sacredness.

The emergence of patriarchy 6000 years ago not only changed the role of women in society but also severed the connection to nature. Through the matriarchal worldview, which is still upheld by indigenous peoples today, we can learn to become better guardians of our Mother Earth once again.

09 Mar 2024043: Love is the Answer to Everything – “In Our Right Minds” with Dale Allen01:20:44

Dale Allen has for 25 years shared the healing energy of the sacred feminine through her work: In Our Right Minds: Guiding Women to Their Strength as Leaders, Leading Men to Strength Without Armor. The piece was first a musical theater production, then a one-women multi-media dynamic presentation, then an award-winning film, now a forthcoming book and a next-level film production. In Our Right Minds has been widely acclaimed in all its forms. As successful live presentation, Dale presented to scores of audiences, touring universities, conferences, corporations, theaters, and expos across the US, Canada, from Kauai to Dubai, and twice to the UN Commission on the Status of Women. (Her encore was requested by the Vice President of the UN Commission, Ambassador Gonzales.) The film screened at the 2023 Parliament of the World’s Religions Film Festival in Chicago. It has been named a Finalist, Official Selection and Semi-Finalist in 19 Independent Film Festivals worldwide.

In Our Right Minds is a sweeping journey covered efficiently and clearly, in short order - judiciously illuminating the history and relevance of the Goddess archetype, its impact on societies where this archetype is active, as well as its connection to our right-brain way of both attending to - and shaping - the world. In Our Right Minds garners praise for being “well-researched, organized, clear, level, balanced, without blame, and inclusive of all the human family.”

Carl Jung wrote in The Structure and Dynamic of the Psyche: “Archetypes, are the living system of reactions and aptitudes that determine the individual’s life in invisible ways. In Our Right Minds looks at the invisible yet powerful ways the Goddess archetype affects persons and cultures. When a society embraces the concept of a female creator, that society behaves differently than a society that embraces a male deity. As Anthropologist Peggy Reeves Sanday documented: there is a clear connection between Goddess veneration and: the honoring of nature, women’s role as officiators of sacred sacraments, connection to the land, and women’s power and social status. In Our Right Minds illuminates historical and current consequences of the suppression of the Goddess archetype, as well as the ways in which the Goddess archetype is being energized globally today. In Our Right Minds coherently and elegantly synthesizes psychology, history, myth, anthropology, sociology, art and poetry into an eye-opening and life-changing alternation of our perspective.

Dale Allen’s YouTube Channel is now featuring Women of the World’s Religions – the Women’s Task Force interview series from the Parliament of the World’s Religions. These can also be heard on “The Dale Allen Podcast” on all podcast platforms. Dale is also a contributing writer in several esteemed books, including international best-seller, Womb to Thrive. She’s a veteran of corporate, commercial and creative communications. Her extensive resume includes hundreds of voice-over, on-camera, theater and live presentation projects.

08 Apr 2023023: Can I Heal Spiritual Longing with Metaphysical Tools? Soul Retrieval & Past Life Regression with Hope Socha 00:46:57

Today I’m super psyched to have my friend Hope Socha on the show! Hope and I met during a four day intensive training with the renowned Peter Woodbury for Past Life Regression Hypnosis training. We had also both just been certified in Dolores Cannon’s Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique. I loved being on that journey with Hope and we remained friends and kept in contact. Not long ago, she reached out to me and told me she was training in new healing soul work techniques and wanted to use me as a guinea pig for Soul Retrieval. The results were nothing short of astounding. So we talk about that today, and, as always, tying these things back to the journey of the Sacred Feminine connection and the Goddess.

Hope Socha has been a licensed nurse for over 30 years. She is a certified Past Life Regression Hypnotist in both Dolores Cannon’s QHHT method and Peter Woodbury’s Soul Contact method. Hope is also trained in Shamanic hypnosis, Soul Retrieval, and Advanced Ho'oponopono. She has worked closely with and been mentored by Lorna Wilson, and Hope wrote the foreword to her book, Quantum Shift: Healing the Fragmented Soul. Hope is also a certified Holistic Life Coach.

FOLLOW/SUPPORT: To find Hope online or to book a session with her, she’s on Facebook @ Hopes Quantum Healing Hypnosis & Past Life Regression or you can contact her at: soulsvoicehypnosis@gmail.com
