Coaching helped him become the best version of himself, and he eventually got his first private client, Luca Corinteli , who went on to be a top 35 player.Coach Farshad emphasizes the importance of open communication and bridging the gap between coach and student, as everyone is different. They dive in to discuss the importance of technique in tennis, emphasizing the need for timing, understanding the ball's speed and spin, and understanding the problem and solution. They also discuss the importance of progression in tennis, fixing core issues, and the concept of the forehand angle.Furthermore, they discuss the importance of perfecting the forehand angle, focusing on proper foot positioning and a kinetic chain to generate speed and energy. Coach Farshad believes that following this sequence can lead to better results, but Burgic shares her own struggles with maintaining her own power and focus and so much more!

In an episode of The EMAzing Tennis Podcast, Ema Burgic and Jose Camacho talk with Iris Beatrice, a friend, mentor and a top junior coach with 15 years of experience.

Iris believes in giving back to the game, sharing knowledge, and helping players become better athletes. She believes that a good coach should focus on the players themselves and share their experiences. Trust is crucial in the professional tennis environment, and coaches must be consistent in their behavior and aware of their strengths and weaknesses.

They discuss The WTA inclusion program as it aims to create more diversity and a place for female coaches to enter the pro tour. Currently, only 13% of the WTA's female players are coaches, and eight of those players are their parents or mothers. The program aims to create a more accessible environment for female coaches, allowing them to transition into the professional world and build strong bonds with their clients. Ema discusses the challenges faced by female coaches in the tennis world, including family life and the need for inclusivity in the program. The WTA program is expected to help change this by putting each other out there and supporting each other as females. The future of tennis instruction will be driven by the fight for women's rights and the development of a more inclusive and supportive environment for female coaches.

In addition to this, Curt talks about the history of the market for tennis as well as the evolution of poly and synthetic strings.

Vania is a former professional tennis player that reached career high  rankings of #3 in the world in doubles and #50 in the world in singles.  She is a two-time Grand Slam Doubles Champion, winning Wimbledon and the  US Open. She represented players on Tour as a WTA Player Council  representative and is currently a consultant for the Women’s Tennis  Association and Women’s Tennis Benefit Association. She is a Director At  Large on the USTA’s Board of Directors and on USTA Southern  California’s DEI committee. She received an undergraduate degree in  Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and a masters  degree in Nonprofit Management from Northeastern University. In her free  time, Vania enjoys bird-watching and singing.

We  are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that provides tennis and STEM programming for underprivileged children. Our  programs are located in  Kampala, Uganda, Los Angeles, CA, working with  120 children annually  and have impacted over 300 children since inception. Welcome to the EMAzing Tennis podcast, hosted by Ema Burgic and Jose Camacho. In today's episode, we have a special guest, Sergio Martinez, a Spanish-American coach with 20 years of experience. Sergio's journey in tennis is truly inspiring, as he started playing at a young age and quickly showed promise. However, a broken arm derailed his dreams of becoming a professional player, leading him to discover his passion for coaching.

Sergio began teaching tennis at the age of 18 in Spain before an opportunity arose for him to visit America in 2011/2012. He was immediately impressed by the excellent facilities and started working with players at both the voluntary and professional levels.

After returning to Spain for a year, Sergio decided to move back to West Palm Beach in 2016. He established his own academy there in 2018, which has since grown to around 50 players. Sergio's dedication to the game is evident in his coaching style, as he believes that passion and intensity are essential for both players and coaches.

One valuable piece of advice Sergio shares is the importance of having energy, passion, and connection with players. He emphasizes that coaches don't have to be amazing players themselves, but they must bring enthusiasm and a genuine desire to help their players succeed. Sergio believes that technique and drills can be challenging to explain, but with the right passion and connection, coaches can effectively guide their players towards their goals.

Sergio's story serves as a reminder of the significance of passion and connection in the world of tennis.

In this episode we're back with Jessica Levine and this time we are talking about the challenges of finding the right pro tennis coach for both recreational and professional players. Jessica Levin, a beginner recreational tennis player, shares her experiences of private lessons and the challenges of finding the right coach. They both agree that finding the right coach can be confusing and difficult, as each coach may have different teaching methods and opinions. Ema advises sticking with one coach for a year and having trust in their coach, even when they don't feel well. They emphasize the importance of bonding with their coach and conveying the same message to ensure consistency and understanding.

They dive into discussing tennis performance and the rule of follow through, emphasizing the importance of having someone devoted to oneself for success in sports. Ema Burgic and Jose Camacho talk about Emma Burgic's outstanding performance at the Battle of Boca, a UTR competition in Florida. Burgic performed admirably despite his ailments and lack of training. Despite her nerves and concern of underperformance, Burgic was able to keep her cool and develop throughout the competition. During her competitive tennis match, she recounted her experiences, referencing her mental coach Jure @genuine.athlete from Sylvania and her hardships. Burgic also talked about her experiences and mental methods, such as breathing exercises and accepting one's limitations. Burgic's resilience and tenacity shine through in her determination to overcome obstacles and achieve her objectives.

Michele Krause is a tennis fitness integration specialist. Michele was the Cardio Tennis Global Education Director for 15 years and works with the USTA to grow Cardio Tennis. She managed the Cardio Tennis program starting in 2005 and under her leadership it became a global product and is now part of tennis culture throughout the world. Michele is an experienced international speaker and trainer who has presented at industry events all over the world and has delivered over 500 educational courses to tennis and fitness professionals. Michele has been featured on the Tennis Channel’s “One Minute Clinics”, “On court with USPTA”, “Bulging Brides” as well as NBC’s “the Biggest Loser”. She organized and implemented the “Get Fit Wichita” and “Million Calorie burn” tennis fitness events. Michele is a USPTA and PTR tennis professional who managed tennis facilities throughout the US prior to her Cardio Tennis role. She is certified/qualified in TRX Suspension Training, Combine 360, Pat Etcheberry, RacquetFit, CoreFirst, and an ITPA-Tennis Performance Trainer. Michele received the TIA/PTR Industry Excellence award in 2012, the Tennis Industry Service award in 2018, and the USPTA Florida Pro of the Year award in 2018.

Ema Burgic and Jose Camacho host a podcast featuring Scott Williams, a professional tennis player and coach with 21 years of experience. Scott is known for his kindness, passion, and energy, making him a great friend. Scott has coached Max Murni to a career high ranking of number one in the world and Tommy Paul to two career high rankings of number two in the world. He is also a 2012 USPTA high school coach of the year and author of serious tennis skills and drills. Williams grew up in a tennis mecca with talented players, including John Michael Gamble and Julie Harrington. He aimed to become a professional coach and compete in the tennis world. Williams met an Austrian family who offered to teach German and coach their daughter. He studied under Ivan Lendl coach Yan Swoboda and learned the Czech method of tech technique. Williams started a group traveling to the United States during the summer and introduced himself to Nick Bollettieri at the 88 Open. He emphasized the importance of a support system for players, including foot care, laundry, and mental recovery.

They discuss the challenges of parents wanting to be there with their kids and their parents coaches, and share their experience of coaching their son and daughter to college, balancing their roles as parents and coaches. Scott discusses his journey as a tennis coach and a parent, focusing on motor skills and introducing children to other sports. Scott emphasizes the importance of a parent's journey from the get-go, focusing on their children's development and interests. He suggests the student athlete pathway as a viable option for tennis players to go on to college, allowing them to pursue their passions while still living as a professional player as the cost to go pro without the educational route is now up to about $175,000 per year between coaching and travelling. They also discuss scouting before their children enter college, investing time and resources in their children's education, and maintaining healthy relationships with their children.

He talks about the importance of adapting and adjusting to different coaching styles for different children, understanding and adapting to their unique needs and preferences and starting from the beginning, focusing on the student's development, playing tournaments, and setting a professional objective. They also discuss the dangers of setting an ultimate goal, potential injuries, and burnout, which can occur in sports, and suggest addressing burnout by focusing on specific activities or the child's passion for the sport.
