26 May 2021My Hockey Season In Review | "Charlie's gonna get to see you play."00:43:55

In this episode, I break down the challenges and successes of this past season.  I discuss what it was like to train during Covid for an unknown return to play, logging 30 minutes a night in the AHL on a Conditioning Stint, and trying to manage family life and hockey in a pandemic. I also touch on the difference between AHL and NHL, and the turning point in the season which allowed for some strong on-ice performances in the later stretch. "Charlie's gonna get to see you play." An episode looking back at last season, so I look forward to the next.

10 Jun 2020S1 EP9 - Connor Brown | Growing Into Your Own, The Power of Consistency & Catan Nights00:58:14

In this episode we welcome Ottawa Senators Forward, Connor Brown.

I loved Connor Brown as a teammate and still do as a friend and an easy Catan Opponent. He's competitive, detailed, a true professional on ice. Off the ice he's a great person, dog dad, and it's been fun to grow as young pros to go our separate ways, but remain friends.

Brownie's story as a late bloomer, his versatility as a player, and his drive still to become more in the NHL as a player and room leader leaves many a lesson in our conversation. Flat out, I enjoyed our time together, I always do, and whatever handicap Browntown says he is-take 2 off it....

Thank you Brownie for an awesome time recording together.

19 Aug 2020S2 EP5 - Rich Clune | Stories from the Marlies, Dicky's Documentary, Battle With Addiction & Second Chances01:10:20

Sometimes I meet a person and know instantly I have found a long lasting friend. Dicky and I share that bond. As short lived teammates I saw a warrior in Rich Clune, a member of the tribe of those who feel fire in their belly. He lends his shoulders to those he plays with so that teammates may stand on them to play taller, to be taller.

He is the greatest locker room DJ I have ever known, a true alpha, and a man who stands confidently in front of his failures of yesterday. My life is more rich having met and played with Dicky. He supported me in one of the most important growth periods of my own career. A true reason I was able to ascend to the Toronto Maple Leafs from my run as a Toronto Marlie.

Please check his page to hear more about him in his film "Hi, My Name Is Dicky" as he shows his battles within himself to shake the grip of drugs and alcohol.

01 May 2020S1 EP4 - Zach Hyman | Toronto Maple Leafs Forward, Best-Selling Author & Eleven Gaming Founder01:09:08

In this episode, we are joined by Toronto Maple Leafs Forward #11, Best selling Author of three Children's Books, Founder of Eleven Gaming/SoaR Gaming - Zach Hyman. We were almost teammates at University of Michigan, as I ended up going to the OHL. Played our first Toronto Maple Leaf game together, with it being Zach's first game in the NHL as well, in his hometown at that. Played in a pivotal playoff run for both of our careers as Toronto Marlies, as we were teammates thereafter for two Playoff Seasons as Maple Leafs following.

Zach has a well roundedness to his pursuits of passion and business that is uncommon in our Sport. His consistency as a player and person is admirable and made him a Leader in every locker room we’ve shared. I am lucky to have played with him, and lucky too to reminisce together in this 4th episode of the Podcast.
