Michael sits down with Tommy Swindoll, lead pastor from The Donelson Fellowship in Nashville, Tennessee. Listen as he shares stories of serving in the aftermath of a devastating tornado; moving from a place of simply observing Christianity to actually living Christianity; and how disciple making has impacted not only his own life, but the lives of the community around him.

At just 17 years old, Nathan Kouri is the youngest guest to join us on the podcast. He entered into a discipling relationship when he was just 15 years old, and in a very short time he will don the hat of D-Group Leader himself. He talks about the differences between Student Disciples (Stu-D) at Harrah Church and his D-Group. You’ll even get a peak into what his parents thought when he told them he wanted to be discipled by someone other than them. Tune in and find out why Michael Farris calls Nathan a “Hope Dealer.”

05 Dec 2023Marriage and Divorce in the Bible (Mark 10:1-12)01:06:26

In Mark 10, some Pharisees “test” Jesus by asking Him if it is lawful for a man to divorce his wife. Michael and Lauren Farris and Travis and Lori Evans dig deep into the Word about marriage and divorce. Each couple brings a different perspective - Travis and Lori both divorced and remarried, and Michael and Lauren married only once, to each other. They share real and raw stories about the Lord’s redemption through broken marriages and even divorce.

27 Apr 2021Daniel Sweet01:07:18

Daniel Sweet, Lead Pastor at Calvary Church in Norman, OK, grew up in a non-Christian home nestled in a poor, crime-ridden area of Tulsa.  At a party when he was fifteen, he was shot in the head at point-blank range. Miraculously, he survived, and his parents moved to a different school district. He would meet a friend who introduced him to Christ, and his life would take on a completely different trajectory. His new path took him to Bible College, then a 10-yr span as a youth pastor, and eventually, Lead Pastor of Calvary. Listen in as Michael and Travis dive into this amazing story of transformation.

“I’ve never been more assured of the future and health of the church that I pastor.” -Daniel Sweet
