29 Apr 20205 Ways To Create Calm & Order In Your Life00:15:13

We are living in an extraordinarily challenging and uncertain time of our lives. COVID-19 has taken the world by storm, impacting our schools, workplaces, communities and lives. Feelings of stress and anxiety have certainly reached an all time high.
It is so important, especially throughout this current climate, to maintain a sense of calm and control in our lives. Even though this episode was recorded prior to COVID-19, the practices and strategies I describe are still very applicable and relevant to our current lives.
In this episode, I cover 5 key ways you can create calm and order in your life, even during the most challenging and stressful of times. I share my own personal habits and practices which I engage in on a daily and weekly basis to help reduce stress and create a sense of calm and control in my life. 09 Dec 2020Tandia Walsh & Elle Peter: The Brains Behind Mother SPF On Necessity Being The Mother Of All Invention00:57:20

MOTHER SPF was born out of necessity when Tandia Walsh’s mother was diagnosed with leukemia. After extensive research, Tandia searched high and low for a sunscreen that wasn’t filled with hidden toxins. When she couldn’t find one, she went on a four year journey to create one herself. Tandia, along with friend and marketing maestro Elle Peter, created and launched MOTHER SPF, the all-natural sunscreen that’s a force for good in the world… and for your skin.
MOTHER SPF’s mission is simple – to bring individuals who do not have hours to spend on sunscreen research, a stress-free and all natural sun protectant solution that is both conscious in evolution and production and is a complete first in the sunscreen world. MOTHER SPF is formulated differently from most sunscreens - it contains no preservatives and is made from pure ingredients which are unrefined and unchanged from the natural form.
In this wide-ranging, inspiring and insightful conversation, Tandia, Elle and I spoke about:

  • The steps Tandia and Elle took to take MOTHER SPF from an idea to a product on the shelves.
  • The importance of integrity, passion and persistence in business and in life.
  • The negative impact of regular sunscreen on your body and on the environment.
  • The importance of finding the right business partner, and strategies on how to build an effective partnership.
  • Purpose-led businesses and why it's important to just 'do good'.

28 Aug 2024 Laura Liles: Uncovering Your Purpose, Living Authentically & Building A Creative Brand 00:52:52

Laura Liles is a FDS trained creative director with 16 years’ experience in the Australian fashion industry. Having honed her skills for several years as a designer for numerous Sydney-based labels, Laura chose to launch Kinga Csilla in 2017 as a response to the white space she saw in the market.

Kinga Csilla then emerged as a slowly run fashion brand that employs time-honoured, artisanal, and even outdated embellishment and production methods. The purpose here is to bring beautiful, block printed and embroidered pieces to fruition while operating ethically with the labour of local staff and offshore garment workers.

Today her ethos remains much the same. Kinga Csilla exists to create beautiful pieces of clothing in rich colour palettes and precious embroideries, while continually seeking better ways to operate both socially and environmentally.

In this episode, Laura and I discuss:

• Laura’s journey of transitioning as an employee within the fashion industry to founding and creating her own label

 • How Laura has overcome challenges in business and in life

 • Laura’s creative vision and the process of how she cultivates her ideas and inspiration into fruition

• Laura’s purpose-led mission, and how her own personal experiences shaped the company that she created

• The way that Laura balances motherhood with business

13 Apr 2023Lara Nercessian: Solo Episode On 5 Steps To Creating Elite-Level Routines In Your Life00:41:32

In this solo episode of The Boss in Heels podcast, I share 5 steps to creating elite-level routines in your life.

I attribute much of my own personal success to creating elite-level routines, which have resulted in rock-solid foundations for all facets of business and life. Our success is a result of what we do consistently, not what we do occasionally. Therefore, routines are a powerful way of doubling down on the daily actions and behaviours that support the vision you want to create for your life.

In this episode, you’ll learn:

  • Why it’s important to start with why, and how to connect your routines to your vision
  • The importance of making your daily habits and routines feel enjoyable
  • Reducing overwhelm through committing to small, daily actions
  • The process of habit stacking – and when to build upon your existing routines
  • Focusing on the process rather than the outcome

25 Nov 2020Lara Nercessian: Solo Episode On 5 Steps To Take Now To Crush It In 202100:34:23

Without a doubt, 2020 has been a challenging year for many of us. I am yet to come across anyone who has been left completely unscathed, or without having their life impacted in some way.
However, with adversity there comes opportunity. Some of the greatest businesses we know today (IBM,General Motors,HP, Hyatt, Fedex to name a few), were born during a recession or other tumultuous circumstance.
2020 could be the year that destroyed you, or the year that made you. I don’t know about you, but I am striving for the latter.
With just over one month of 2020 left ask yourself – How are you going to use this time? Are you just going to write off the rest of this year? Or will you start carefully planning, preparing and taking massive action?
In this solo podcast episode, I cover 5 steps you can take now to crush it in 2021. You’ll learn:

  1. Strategies for identifying your limiting beliefs and facing your fears.
  2. Building and strengthening your capabilities.
  3. Taking massive action.
  4. Setting your 2021 intention.
  5. Creating an ‘impossible goal’ rather than a vague resolutions e.g. getting fit or making more money.
