When the pandemic hit, suddenly yoga teacher trainings moved online and as my guest in this episode found out, this could actually lead to better trainings, and better teachers. I’m talking to Ameriga Giannone about how she moved her trainings online and now to a hybrid model combining online teachings with live elements.

Ameriga earned her first degree in Oriental Languages and Cultures and spent ten years living and traveling in various countries in East Asia, since then she has studied with deeply inspiring teachers and trained for over 2000 hours, as well as a Masters in Yoga Studies.

Creating in-depth content takes a lot of time and effort. You want that content to be really good after all, so you put your all into it. 

But what do you do after you’ve clicked publish? 

So many of us will share it on Facebook and Instagram once and if it’s a good week, share it to our email list. Then get straight back on the content hamster wheel and start creating next week’s content...

There are only so many hours in the day, and when you’re starting a business, you want to be strategic and focused. Part of that is choosing your profitable niche as a yoga teacher, healer, or coach. 

The truth is, not all niches will help you turn a profit.  And not all of them will fit your interests and personality. You want to choose a niche you are passionate about, definitely, as you will spend a lot of time and effort working within it. But you also want to become profitable and choose a niche and topic that people are willing to pay for.

I’m an introvert - I enjoy my own company and use alone time to recharge. I don’t like big crowds and prefer hanging out with just one or two friends at a time. But, I also have no problem going live in front of hundreds of people, doing a presentation, or showing up on social media.

This wasn’t always the case, and it’s not the same for everybody - we all experience things in our own way.

Do you feel like you have so much going on that you’re struggling to cope with it all? Or are you going through something stressful that’s making it difficult for you to function? These are some of the signs of being overwhelmed.

The truth is, everyone feels overwhelmed from time to time and it’s a completely normal response to everyday stressors. I’ve definitely felt overwhelmed in the past and I know that I will most likely feel it again one day.

However, being chronically stressed out and constantly feeling overwhelmed can take a toll on your mental and physical health and we definitely don’t want that. In this episode, I’m going to look at three possible causes of constantly feeling overwhelmed and how to stop them:

#1 Always feeling behind and like you’re playing catch up

#2 Expectations you’ve set for yourself/have been set by friends & family

Wanting to create a wide range of offers is a very common mistake, especially with digital products.

For example you want to create different online courses on topics like meditation, pranayama, yoga philosophy.  A few smaller courses on different topics, right? You like the idea of people coming to your website, choosing what they want to learn, and buying it?

The problem here is that creating too many offers means that you can end up with actually earning less.

Choosing the right price for your services, it’s scary  

The most important thing when it comes to pricing is that you need to own your price, you need to have the confidence that what you created is worth this much. 

 You know me, I’m not very into the woowoo, but the truth is, your potential customers, they are going to feel that energy. 

If you don’t put out the positive energy that your offer is amazing and totally worth it, if you are not confidently selling it, people are not going to feel confident investing in it.

I can’t be the only one who has seen other entrepreneurs smashing their goals and thinking they must have it all figured out or must be working all hours under the sun.

When it comes to marketing, so many yoga teachers or coaches are getting it wrong 😬

They are so focused on social media and don’t realize that they have pretty much no control over anything here, including who actually sees their content. 

When someone signs up for your email list, however, you know that your emails are landing in the inboxes of people who raised their hands saying they want to hear from you, and you also are in control of their information and contact details. 

That doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t use social media – you still need to show up there, but make it with the goal to direct people to your email list to develop that longer-lasting relationship! 🙋🏼‍♀️

It’s easy to think that creating new offers is the only way to grow and scale your business...

But I discovered that this really isn’t the case 🤔

After 6 years of building my business, I was at a point where I wanted to take a step back and do less. I wanted to SIMPLIFY. So, I stopped creating new offers and focused on one signature offer and sold only that, whilst traveling around Europe in my campervan.

And guess what?

Sometimes we just don’t have the bandwidth or the energy to go all in in our businesses. Life is happening, and that’s fine. 2022 was such a year for me, and in this episode, I’m sharing what’s been going on and how I still had a six-figure year, selling just one program and working around 4 hours a day.
