Two warring families are being targeted by an assassin that is able to use your allergies against you. As the next generation of the families work with red to get to the bottom of the attack, Red works with the task force to find out what is really going on so he can make Agnes's recital in time.

Case Profile for Wormwood
No one ever gets tired of a re-telling of Romeo and Juliet, especially Red who has always thought the greatest villain or enemy is love. Red attends a meeting of two families who have been at war for decades in order to finally broker a peace between them as a new generation looks to take over. Suddenly the heads of the family all start dropping dead from what appears to be poison in their drinks but turns out to be a toxin delivered via the china they ate off of that targets a persons allergies and makes them super sensitive. Wormwood is the guy behind this toxin and he supplied it to one of the daughters of Family A, who wanted to take down the patriarchy so the war could end so she could be with her lover in Family B.
Meanwhile Hudson finally brings Jonathan, Ressler's AA pal into his office to convince Jonathan to dig up intel on Ressler and the task force. Jonathan is reluctant at first but is able to get enough information out of Ressler to confirm what Hudson has been saying, that Liz Keen and the task force have been influenced by Reddington. That doesn't matter to Red though, nor does the toxin matter as he risks becoming infected in order to make the dance recital and see Agnes perform, yet again, swan lake.

Red needs to find Dr. Koehler to protect Red's identity, but The Corsican finds him first. For Red, this is only a minor issue in the season six premiere. Turns out Red is busted by NYPD and is going to jail. Now he tasks Liz to finding the rat that sold him out.

Case Profile for #33 & #20 Season Six Premiere
We return to the Blacklist with Red foiling a bank robbery, assisting the robbers in the process, all to steal a painting? Red needs to find Dr. Hans Koehler, a plastic surgeon who obviously helped Red become who he is today, and one whom Red calls friend. Unfortunately, Red and friends arrive too late and Koehler is killed but don’t worry, Red makes sure his widow is taken care of. However, the hunt is now on for the man who killed Dr. Koehler, Bastien Moreau, played by the ONE and only, Christopher Lambert. Moreau had kept Koehler hostage and forced him to restructure his face, since Moreau is a terrorist for hire.
This leads us into our second hour, where Moreau heads to the UN to set off a bomb, which Red assists the Task Force with reaching and dismantling in time, saving a Redtastrophe! But all is not well, despite this development. Someone has tipped off local authorities to Red’s position, and Red is arrested! Brought in to NYPD, Red is forced to fend for himself, as an ambitious DA will not let him walk, despite the Fed’s claims of his invaluable nature. Red, is going to do hard time, and he wants the rat who flipped on him found. He tasks Liz with finding this rat. Which should be easy enough…since it was HER!
Series creator Jon Bokenkamp also stops by the podcast this week extending his look into season six during our special agent intel segment. We chat about why this direction with the story, what loose ends might we revisit this season, and how difficult is the challenge for Megan and the writers to keep her secret safe from Red, but still remind the audience that she does know. Our normal special agent intel segment will resume next week.

The Music of the Season Six Premiere
Our first tune of Season six is “Joker and the Thief” by Wolfmother heard as Red and the bank robbers attempt to make their escape underground. “Wide Awake” by Parquet Courts is next playing while Red does some Tai Chi. Then Dope Lemon’s “How Many Times” plays as Red and Dembe are just about to break in to save Dr Koehler! Then at the end of the first hour as Liz and Red chat on the bench we are treated to a great tune from the Baptist Generals called Turnunders and Overpasses.
In hour two, our first song from Wire called “I am the Fly” plays as Moreau delivers the package to the Turkish Ambassador. One of my favorites from the college days “Super Bon Bon” from Soul Coughing plays as Red and Rutteger enter the United Nations. As Red and Dembe explore the UN building we hear Sean Rowe’s “You Keep Coming Alive”. We then close out the show with “Hard Times” by Vision Vision as Red goes to Jail and Liz shares her secret.

Turns out their friend was supposed to give Casandra and Red a cut of the profits from the sale of a rare necklace. Turns out he never sold it and instead it was given to his widow, or was it? Cooper is also one step closer in his investigation as he talks to the bartender's girl that skipped town.

We always knew wall street was a bunch of criminals especially in the wake of the 2008 financial collapse. But it turns out they aren’t the only ones. Enter the concept of the Night Market, a stock market for criminals that invest in companies that launder, wash and do otherwise nefarious activities much like the symbol COC aka Concierge of Crime. It is kept running by a leader known as the Chairman who helped in creating the anonymity of the market so that even he doesn’t know the names of the investors, only the names of the companies members represented.
This week Red needs to flush out a company that during the last two years but up a significant of enough stake that it now has a strangled hold on Concierge of Crime. Red hopes to find the investor behind Greenlight, by tanking the market by sending the Task Force to expose a different company on the market which would then in turn crash the market and lead the task force to the chairman.

Terrence “Dresser” Williams, Commander Lock, General Swanwick, Boyd Langton, and – of course – our favorite FBI agent, Harold Cooper. These are just a few of many characters Harry Joseph Lennix III has portrayed over the many years of his enduring career. Each one, different in personality traits, yet carrying one similarity that is quite inescapable: the acting prowess of Harry Lennix. On this special episode of The Blacklist Exposed, Troy and Aaron sit down with Harry Lennix to discuss much more than simply The Blacklist. For an actor with such a storied career, we wanted to learn as much as we could about the only man who dares go toe-to-toe with Red Reddington.
From Lennix’s humble beginning in Chicago, IL, to how his brother almost accidentally inspired Harry’s acting ambitions, to his initial aspirations with the church. Then we segue to Lennix’s lauded career, 30+ years of work with filmmakers including Spike Lee and Zack Snyder (with even more details on that Justice League news), his love of musicals and Shakespeare, before ultimately tackling the role many of us love him more, Harold Cooper. PLUS Harry has also created a new organization in the African American Museum for Performing Arts (AAMPA) which exists digitally today and soon will have a permanent home on the south side of Chicago.

Dr. Roberta Sand is a psychiatrist that has been acquired and put on retainer by a the Diconio crime family. The retainer though it turns out is not for nefarious or money gathering schemes. Her son Dante has been brought into the family and is being protected by Diconio. As long as Dr. Roberta helps Diconio's goons get in the right headspace to do the jobs required by him, he will allow nothing to happen to her son.
Which leads us to Red this week who is having a few family matters of his own. When a recent visit with Agnes to play some games becomes a game of 20 questions, Red goes on a quest to find out how Agnes could know as much as she does about him. This leads him to find out that Dembe may have given Liz the letter right before she died. Red now needs Dr. Roberta to help him decide if he can forgive or put a bullet in Dembe's head.

Ogden Greely helped build the United States military satellite infrastructure. He also built himself a back door to take it over and sell it to the highest bidder. Now it is up to the task force to stop it since Red has decided to take the day off for a date with Ann.

A life-long member of the NRO and NSA, Ogden Greely helped to build the technology that helps the military keep tabs on not only our countries military assets but also keep eyes on the enemy countries as well. This is done via space through satellite technology that has suddenly gone haywire. Turns out Ogden built himself a back door to take over the infrastructure and offer it up to the highest bidder. This tech in the wrong hands could spell certain doom for the United States. Therefore they call on the one man that could help bring a stop to Ogden's dastardly deeds, Director Harold Cooper.
Or is it Senator Cooper? Turns out the Governors office is grooming Harold to take a sitting Senator's seat if he is willing to vote yes on The Black Budget. Cooper, unwilling to do so gives up his senatorial bid, but instead saves the day by getting back the countries satellite technology, with a little help from Red as usual. Speaking of Red his birdwatching friend Ann is back and she is taking in the shows and sights and we get a moment of everyday non criminal Red for a brief moment in this episode. Where they have a lovely day together it all turns sour in the end as Red realizes a normal life will never be in his grasp.

Red continues his crazy ways by giving up one of the biggest fish to date to the task force in the Morgana Logistics Corporation. A network of real and fake companies that move goods and services all over the world. An organization so well run, you may even think Red was the head of the entire thing?

In our main story this evening Red is visiting Agnes with some ballet gifts and talks with his soft and cuddly buddy Cooper about one of the biggest cases he has ever given the task force. A company known as The Morgana Logistics Company, which looks so legit, no one has ever brought them down. Turns out this organization even rivaled all the cells of SD6 and the 12 from Alias as they had operations all over the world. Turns out in the end the whole thing was brougnt down by the GPS signals of a few rental cars. Moral of the story, always use maps on your own phone. In the end Morgana turns out was run by RED and he wanted to shut down the operation that benefited everyone, employees, leaders, the task force. But what did Red get in the end of the day other than a sad memory of a fantastic dyansty that was?
Meanwhile Hudson is like a dog on a bone and won't stop at anything to find out what the task force is up to. He calls in an old FBI friend and learns about a secret meeting between 4 ADs of the FBI, one of them being Assistant Director Cooper. Hudson shakes down another senator for some information and learns of a single name ZUMBA. This leads Hudson to the that random photo taken of Red and Dembe from a few episodes ago that appeared in the paper. That photo along with the name Zumba plus Cooper and Ressler's connections to Reddington just may end up seeing our Task Force days come to and end.

Gordon Kemp makes some Fine Cal9 weapons that are falling into the hands of criminals on the streets. One shooting happened right in front of Raymond Reddington.

Street level criminals are using FineCal9 9-milimeter handguns sold by Gordon Kemp’s company. Gordon Kemp is a businessman on the list as Red via the FBI tries to find the person selling the guns that killed the clerk that had her whole life ahead of her and left behind a grieving mother. The FBI tries to make a straw sale case against Gordon and fails due to a judge who assesses the evidence is far too light, and also a thin amount of evidence. So Red takes matters into his own hands playing cat and mouse with Cooper and the task force.
Elsewhere Ilya Koslov is thinking he is being stalked by Katarina, but it is really a PI hired to tail Ilya and keep an eye on him. Dembe arrives too soothe Ilya and catches the PI in the act. Brimmley tortures her via board games in order to find out the truth that Liz hired the PI. Now Red knows that Liz knows he is not Ilya Koslov.

It takes a lot of resources to take down Raymond Reddington, just ask Marvin Gerard. But the resource most vital for Wujing and his merry band of Blacklisters is money. Lots of money, but most importantly clean money. With Wujing wanted by both the United States and China, he has to come up with a way to raise the cash to fund his war and what cleaner of a way to do so then through Casinos.
Enter The Whaler. An Australian Woman that sets up games for the wealthiest of players at Casinos all over the world that just so happen to be taking huge losses due to a scam setup that people would lose on purpose to Wujing himself so that he could walk off with Millions of dollars clean as a whistle. That is until Red shows up to throw his hat into the game.

The Avenging Angel is the blacklister this week and she is out to right the wrongs of the evilest of evils in the world. From money hungry pretty boys taking advantage of their geeky friends, all the way up to multi-billionaires that can buy themselves into a hear transplant. The Avenging Angel played by Annabella Sciorra finds her next targets by using a form of the internet social site Reddit where people submit prayer requests to a higher power. Only the higher power is not listening, The Avenging Angel is.
Elsewhere Ressler asks Park to help him pass his drug test only to find yet again some suspicious results. Dembe and Red seem to have a differing of opinion on what happened in Brasila. And Cooper had one hell of a time at his friends retirement party. So much fun it turns out that he can't remember if a round of his service weapon was fired to kill his neighbor that Charlene was sleeping with.

Red goes cruising the campus apartments of MIT in search of one Andrew Kennison, a grad student working on a device that will track whether or not a patient has taken their medication. He decided to make the tech after an incident with his wife who had a psychotic break after not taking her meds for a few days. A break that cost his wife the loss of her sister and mother. The tech however was given to a NYC Detective named Reginald Cole.
Except Cole is not a NYC Detective, he left the force and is now a private investigator. Cole some how got the tracking device into Liz and the people that are pulling Cole's strings are clearly behind both Liz's murder and the the framing of Director Cooper. Someone is trying to take down Red and the Task Force but who could it be?

Aram's first day as the official head of the task force starts out similar to Liz's first day on the job with some unexpected visitors. A group of kidnappers working for El Conejo. Turns out that the Greylock source code that Aram developed was responsible for a shipment of Avocados going missing owned by El Conejo, the head of a cartel in Mexico. Aram discovers that his old partner Nick hid somethings about a third party audit done on the code and Nick used this withheld knowledge to further his own personal gain.
Elsewhere Red shows up at an acquaintances house, a lighthouse keeper of sorts at the last location Liz was to end up after Red died. Turns out the safe with the instructions for the business were in his care, yet someone knew the safe was there. In fact someone knew there was a safe to begin with and had a duplicate made for just this exact heist. That someone just in fact happens to be none other than Mr. Kaplan.

Nicholas Obenrader is a man who audits and cleans up criminal organizations and currently works for one Neville Townsend. Red gives the case to Donald this week as they search for Nicholas, not to capture him, but to turn him over to Red so that he can infiltrate Townsend’s organization. Red creates some distrust in Townsend’s crew chief opening up a hole for Red to insert master thief Pria Lagari, not to steal from Townsend but to assassinate him.
Meanwhile Liz is working slyly with the task force to find Red’s friend from the east by casing a cafe in Paris with Aram. Except Liz doesn’t realize that her every move is being watched by Townsend. Liz and Ressler exchange info about our friend now known as Ivan Stephanov that is intercepted by Townsend’s men. When Liz has Esi and her team try to abduct Stephanov, the gig is blown as Townsend’s men get their first.

The Protean is a shapeshifter, an assassin who steals the identity of the recently deceased in order to take out his marks. Townsend has hired him to take out Liz and everyone close to her.

When her team is taken out Liz turns to the Task force to help her stay one sep ahead of her potential killer
Meanwhile, Red is trying to find out who The Protean is by enlisting the help of Glen's mother Paula and her ties to the phone company. Where a list of numbers matching the description of the Protean is helpful, Paula earns her pay this week by enlisting a group of Bingo players to call the numbers and find the recently deceased person who's identity was stolen.

Anna McMahon is in a race against time as well as the task force to uncover the missing dossier that lays out a plot against the United States of America. Through the magic of TV everyone has uncovered the dossier's location. It appears it will be a rather grim day for the Grimm family, as dad finds the drive and sends it to a friend to decrypt. This only gets the friends killed, the dad kidnapped, and Red so stressed out he needs to see a reflexologist.
Eventually the task force tracks down Mr. Grimm who had the dossier on him the whole time and uncover the strangest plot ever on The Blacklist to date. The President of the United States is going to assassinate the President of the United States?!?!?! Oh and the Task Force won't be able to do anything about it because Anna McMahon just arrested all of them except for Liz on one count of treason.

The Nowhere Bride #192
The first of the three episodes focused on a woman who used her position working in a parole office to get parolees to fake woo women of international decent in order to steal their wedding dowries. Through the course of the episode as the team is tracking down the theif, Siya is tracking down more clues about her mother. When push comes to shove, Red fills in the final missing pieces that she was adopted by Meera because she rescued her during an operation and Nigel her parter was blackmailing her. So Meera did what any parent would do to protect their child. She took out, or at least didn't stop Nigel from being Murdered.
The Hat Trick
We still don't know if Red is dying or retiring but he is definitely contemplating the future, the future of Agnes Keen that is. Red gives Cooper three seemingly random cases to get the team working again in the wake of Arthur Hudson's inquiries. Each of the cases puzzles the task force as non of the crimes are high profile killers, criminals, or theives. They do however all sit on the same board of a charity that Red has his eye on and before he could make a sizable donatinon that would fund reasearch for years he has the team get the board memebers removed for their own personal crimes.
Blair Foster #39
With the slyness feeling of one Ana McMahon (Season 6) Blair Foster is a high powered attorney for politicians, large corporations, you get the picture. She is good and never loses, until today when she lost some information that made it's way to the FBI and put them on her trail. But as all good lawyers do, she pleads a deal to get Congressman Dorf out of the way of the task force so Hudson is slowed down, but with her freedom, she seizes the opportunity to work with Hudson after all.

Lady Luck is really a mother who was down on her luck. While she was giving birth to her daughter, her husband went with their son to buy a scratch off ticket which netted them $87 million dollars. Except that on the way back to the hospital, the husband and son were in an accident which left the husband paralyzed and the son, dead. So she makes it her mission to take gamblers off the map, while also making sure their families are taken care of. Lady Luck goes after an associate of Red's that has infomration on the third estate so the chase is on to stop the execution of this criminal gambler so the task force can get more information on the plot against america.
Elswhere Ressler and MJ from the CIA talk about a woman now in her 80s that was a name on a ferry passenger manifest who move to chicago with her husband and four-legged friends. Turns out that this woman cold very well in fact be Katarina's Mother. Except Liz didn't want Ressler digging into things regarding Katarina so now Ressler has to follow up on this lead all on his own.

Well we know where the music budget went finally the last few episodes. First up as we meet Henry in Atlantic City we hear “My Diary” by 5 Alarm Music. Then as Henry attacks the woman in the tub we hear “Gamblin’ Man” by Lonnie Donegan. As Ned tries to off himself in his garage we hear “My Everything” by Eric Vasquez, Leslie Stevens, Kristen Agee, and Jeff O’Bannon. Then at the end of the episode as Red and Dembe look on from the wings of the stage we are treated to an Acapella version of "Every Breath You Take" from The Police. Fun fact that they had to get the rights from Sting and John Bissell actually worked with the choir for the track we hear in the show.

Case Profile for The Freelancer Part 2
Three weeks ago men from Wu-Wu's (yes that is what we are calling him forever now in honor of the late Robert Vesco) from Wujing's team met with a team of Mercs that helped out Marvin last season in his war with Red. They won't join forces with Wu-Wu unless they have proof that Reddington has betrayed them and is working for the FBI. So Wu-Wu calls upon The Freelancer to stage some high profile catastrophes in order to draw out Red and the Taskforce. A photographer that snapped a photo 6 years ago of Red, Dembe, and Rojellio is back and taking pictures of the task force arriving on the scene of Freelancer's handiwork, in order to get the proof Wu-Wu needs.
Meanwhile Ressler is one year sober and about to become a sponsor for a fellow in the same line of work he is. Red is traveling the New Jersey Turnpike picking up snacks for Agnes who apparently likes a boy at school. Cooper never saw himself as a family man but is really becoming attached to Agnes, and Herbie pays a visit to the Post Office.

During the cold open this week as The Freelancer goes to work on the engine room of the ferry we hear “Time is Off” a collaboration by Flash Sendeic and Neoni. From the gravesite of Elizabeth Keen on the second anniversary of her death, Ressler retells the events of the past two years to his former partner and lover, as well as Tom Keen who is in the gravesite next to Liz. (Insert Tom is dead clap here). Over the course of the two years Ressler goes from FBI agent, to drug addict, to mechanic, and back to hero. Now two years later is he really ready to wear the badge once again.
During the two year period, Ressler lands in Liberty Falls Pennsylvania. He lives in a no tell motel where he befriends the manager and her son. Turns out she has issues of her own in the way of an abusive husband who also happens to be a cop. Ressler is able to save the day and prevent the cop from doing any more harm. He also finds himself again as he works with a local mechanic at his shop in order to pay for his stay at the motel.

Part 1 of this week's episode takes us back to the night of Liz's murder, again, but this time it is super important because we finally get the the answer to how did Van Dyke know Liz was going to be where she was. Enter this seasons big bad in Marvin Gerard who for the first half of the finale gives us his flashback to the past two years and why he did what he did to kill Elizabeth and take over the Blacklist.
Part 2 begins the hunt for Marvin. Cooper needs him alive so that he can avoid prison the God of death aka Red wants Marvin dead to rights for the murder of Elizabeth Keen. Both men will stop at nothing to accomplish their missions. That is unless Marvin can stop both men at the same time. What's that? Perked your interest? The interest of the AG was interested in hearing Marvin out as well. But in the end Red values loyalty above all else and Marvin played his last hand.

Stella Wong, A reporter believes Sam Rhodes a tennis player is being doped, with something that doesn’t pop a drug test. He has been treated over the years by Dr Razmik Maier who turns out not to be on the up and up. Red postulates that the The Boswell Syndicate, a sports betting ring of big name players pays Maier significantly for insider information on sports stars, and perhaps even murder to bring up their margins and ensure their winning ways.
Ressler is still dealing with his addiction problem even post visit to Liz's grave as he tries to steal pills from a couple who lost their son to Maier's ways. Later he tries to steal a script from Wong's apartment where Park catches him in the act. Cooper is also in hot water as he continues his investigation only to come upon another dead body.

Liz’s plan is starting to come together. Or is it? This week we meet Chemical Mary, a woman that believes if the world has nukes that it should also have saran gas and a host of other nasty chemical weapons at its disposal. She is working on a weapon, HeePhoxy, that even the mere touch of it to human skin will shut down all organs of the victim, suffocating them from the inside out. Why Liz wants Chemical Mary? That’s a question for next week.
This week is the how she gets Chemical Mary through the use of the Freelancer. Liz tasks Alban to corrupt a plane’s sensors so that it will crash into another plane. Chemical Mary is supposed to be on that plane but instead she abducts Mary at the airport before she makes it onto the plane and instead tips off red and the task force on how to prevent the crash from happening, giving the FBI the freelancer to put back behind bars. Aram and Cooper however have bigger problems with the flash drive and even though Aram figured out how to read what was on it, that act may have just sealed Cooper a fate of certain doom.

Case Profile for Benjamin T Okara
Benjamin T Okara was a brilliant scientist like many before that looked to bring something magical into the world. He and his team of scientists did just that but as with any good idea, the government can find a way to weaponize it. Feeling exposure from the device himself, Benjamin takes it upon himself to wipe out the team that has the info to make the weapon and eventually destroys the device and himself in a blaze of glory to prevent it from doing any more harm.
Elsewhere Cooper is questioned about the night of his neighbors death and Charlene and Cooper both lie about his whereabouts. Park is still lying to Peter whom we meet in this episode only to find out that she doesn't have cancer, she is pregnant, er was pregnant because the weapon was used on her and that ended the pregnancy, which also ended Park and Peter's relationship. Red and Dembe are the big story of the week as Dembe crosses a line and Red is not to happy with it.

Katarina and Liz have a heart to heart about what really happened all those years ago in that motel room, and later at the inn in Belgrade. Liz hearing Katarina's plight decides to help her and her band of merry men escape from her coworkers and the rest of the DC area Police force. They bond just before being ripped apart again by the Townsend Directive, at least that's what Raymond thinks.
Meanwhile to help track down the mysterious woman from Paris, Red asks Ressler to spring former balcklister Dr. Bogdan Krilov to help them locate the man who took up his memory manipulation practices. The hope being that if they can find the man now acting in Krilov's stead, they will be able to find Ilya and most certainly Katarina Rostova.

It’s 2 years later, and the task force has been disbanded, Dembe Zuma is an FBI agent??? and Red is still licking his wounds. The team is brought back together when Dembe is wounded in the line of duty when The Skinner shows up to steal a truck full of special microchips. The Skinner is a 700 year old Pirate who died in the late 1400s. However the skinners followers appoint a new skinner to take the old one’s place… a tradition that still lives on to this day.
The current day skinner is looking to control the worlds microchips, not just the sale and movement but the entire production line including how to make and create the chips themselves. The skinner kidnaps the one guy and his family that can do just that and sadly that is where we leave part one to the open of the new era of The Blacklist. More to come in next week's conclusion episode.

Aram is under a lot of pressure as the new head of the task force. Some may say the job is unBEARable. He is BEARly keeping it together so he decides to take a little trip into his subconscious.

Aram is feeling the pressure of the job. But he is also suffering from underlying guilt surrounding Samar, Liz, Agnes, and fears that he is going to get everyone killed that is under his command. The weight of the job causes Aram to realize that he is a depressed and a little anxious so he seeks out a friend of Mr. Hohman aka Red, a doctor who deals in psychedelic hypnosis. Aram hopes to confront his issues and get himself back on track.
Elsewere Cooper and Ressler look more into LaCroix before coming up with a dead end in LaCroix's wife however they do catch a break on the woman found dead in the blast at the Kaplan meetup point. Turns out It wasn't Kaplan at the meetup but her sister but since she is now dead she was just as much a victim as Liz, Cooper and Red. Meecha and Samar also make a return appearance.

This week we are focusing on a baddie known as the See-er, a crafty business opportunist that peddles cell phones to bad guys. Not just any cellphones and not even the latest iPhone or Pixel. No these run on the Arcane Wireless network, a network so impenetrable, so untraceable criminals for years have been using it to get away with all sorts of things. The latest criminal showing interest is human trafficking crime lord Odin Interdonato with operations all over the world. After a few demonstrations of the tech by the See-er, Interdonato decides to use the phones exclusively.
Meanwhile Aram runs into an old mentor FJ Powell who we come to find out is applying for Aram’s old job at Grey Lock. This causes a little bit of jealousy on Aram’s part and he does some digging to find that FJ is hiding if not helping Arcane Wireless. Upon confronting him however we find out that the FBI are the ones behind Arcane Wireless but not in enough time because Ressler and Dembe to take out the See-er and blow up a years long operation. Even bigger though is that the phones were inside Red’s network which is how Heddie was busted at the dock for trafficking pirated soybeans. Thankfully Heddie survives a test from Red and she is sprung from prison.

The Commissioner runs a group of people that offer themselves up as avatars for people of importance. These avatars are known as Cyranoids, outer shells that can transport visual and audio cues back to the person that is contact with them. Liz works her magic still from behind the scenes to "rent out" a Cyranoid who looks almost identical to her from behind at least. Liz's plan for Chemical Mary also moves forward this week as we learn that she is the sister to one Neville Townsend of the Townsend Directive. Liz leverages Mary to get a meeting with Neville but not in person, through her Cyranoid doppelgänger.
Meanwhile the task force continues to struggle with how to pursue Liz all while trying to uncover more about N13. Cooper fills the team in on the contents of the flash drive, that he suspects Red as N13 and working with Rakitin. The team sets off to find Rakitin only to turn up with a corpse. But Park the only one not loyal to Liz, figures out that real Rakitin is still at large, faking the body they found.

Elizabeth and Ressler are being escorted back to the FBI much to the despair of Reddington. Even though an elaborate plan to use a decoy convoy is put into motion to protect Elizabeth, Townsend and his men are able to find the convoy and do some serious damage, not just to the cars but to Ressler who has been shot. Liz and Ressler manage to escape on foot into the neighborhood of the 7th ward.
Enter Balthazar Bino Baker is a sort of mob boss that runs the 7th ward. He ensures that his people and establishments are well taken care of. He is also well connected as he knows who both Red and Townsend are. He has established a network called the pipeline that moves money from one runner to the next without anyone but the final baton holder knowing the ultimate destination. Red enlists Bino’s help to smuggle Liz and Ressler out of harms way.

She targets high profile men with conservative values in the hopes to change the narrative about a women's right to her body and life. She just goes about it in a way that is so invasive the men can never speak about it or risk ruining their lives.
Meanwhile Red is out camping and staking out Patrick Masada to hopefully pick up a lead on Katarina. She meanwhile is still planning nanny and this week takes Agnes to the park for some mud pies with a side of intel, the current location of one Ilya Koslov. Red and Katarina exchange words but not before Frank aka "The Stranger" aka bench guy, lands square in the sights of Katarina herself.

The Troll Farmer returns to spread disinformation in order to steal a secret computer virus that will hopefully help Wujing find the task force, take down Red, and build his empire. However red has some duplicative plans of his own!

Wujing is closing in on the proof he needs to prove Red is working with the FBI. So what does Red do? He hatches a plan so dastardly, so demonic, so dangerous that even I can't come up with more D words. Instead of stopping Wujing from find proof, just give it to him. Yep Red literally invites Wu Wu to the front door step of the task force the answers he seeks, or is it? See red has been building something all year, a fake post office, complete carbon copy down to the last detail. The purpose to draw out Wujing, trap him, and end this war once and for all.
Meanwhile the team is concerned with their Reddington Archives and those are kept safe inside the post office, the real post office, and can only be accessed from onsite. To gain access one would need a program to hack into the archives and that's where HEXROOT comes in. A secret malware software buiit by the US Government and now lost to the hands of Bo Chang, The Troll Farmer.
But this biggest twist of the episode isn't that Chang got the device, no. It is that Change escaped from the fake post office so that the task force would think he would lead WuJing back there. Instead Chang is working with Red the whole time, Red gives Change the real location, Wujing shows up as expected and Pop Pop go Wu Wu and his henchman thanks to bad ass Red we have all be waiting for. Reddington then uses Hex Root to wipe the Archives and takes off effectively making him #1 on Cooper's hit list.

The Pharmacist is treating patients of MCDD with an unapproved drug. After some of them turn up dead Red and friends need to find out what is really going on, all while Red is on trial for his crimes against the country.

It’s almost like James Spader has done this lawyer thing before, right? This week, Red Reddington, or this dude in his suit anyway, went on trial for his crimes. But before we get there, this week’s Blacklister was The Pharmicist. Spalding Stark told Red he was a rebellious biohacker, dedicated to saving lives. But after the deaths of 5 very sickly test subjects suffering from Motor Cortex Degenerative Disease at Stark’s hands, Red fears he is the worst kind of charlatan — the kind who preys on the weakest among us for financial gain.
We come to find out that Crown Life Pharmaceuticals had inserted a mole who sabotaged Stark’s work to ensure the cure wouldn’t be achieved. Because, as Chris Rock so eloquently put it years ago, the money isn’t in the cure, the money is in the medicine!Stark is getting a lighter sentence, and we are left with a bombshell at the end that Red needs Stark for...something.

Our first tune this week "Footsteps" by Caught a Ghost, plays as MCDD patients shuffle their way to see the Pharmacist. Later, during the second makeshift clinical trial, When Webb gets busted by Ressler and company we year Von Grey’s "Poison in the Water." How do you commit the perfect crime? You hire Warden Roy Cain of the Wallens Ridge State Prison to allow his inmates to "escape" from solitary in order to take out or kidnap high profile targets. This week a thought to be dead Maddie Tolliver aka Katarina Rostova hired good ole' Roy to kidnap Dembe's Imam in the hopes that she could persuade him to convince Dembe to spill Red's secrets and save Katarina's Life.
Red meanwhile is recovering from his health scare while Ressler dishes on Red's condition to Liz. Turns out that for all the lying and backstabbing and bad stuff Liz has done to Red, he still wants to will the keys to the Reddington kingdom to Liz and needs his old attorney Marvin Gerard to draw up the papers. Turns out Marvin just happened to be released from Wallens recently. Go figure.

We have finally come to the end of the road for Raymond Reddington and Task Force 836! It has been a long decade of catching criminals, guessing at Raymond's Identity but in the end does any of it matter if you were just trying to live the best life you possibly could?

Hour 1 of the finale sees up playing the catch me if you can cat and mouse we expected coming out of last week's episode. Red is trying to flee the city but boat, by plane, by fire truck. Yes Red does it once again and burns down yet another house so that he can jump a fire truck and get past the blockade setup by Hudson and Nixon. He manages to make his way to a boat which he sinks in favor of a smaller boat to get him to Weecha, who then gets him to a plane for his trip to Spain. Along the way Red also pays a visit to Paula Glenn's mom and picks up the skull of Islero the bull from the bath house. Dembe gets arrested for tipping off Red at the airfield and in transport Red saves the day but not before Hudson shoots Dembe in the neck and Red shoots Hudson in the head.
Don't worry Dembe is fine in hour two, however he is fired from the FBI but no charges will be pressed against him. Red now in Spain is tailed by Ressler thanks to quick thinking on Siya's part. Thank god she spent a whole two episodes with him to notice Islero the Bull skull missing from the bath house. Red is clearly sick after transfusing blood to Dembe and his illness has returned. He makes a call to Agnes to check on her to which Agnes says to red, "You're are such a mom!" Re replies, "I guess I can't help it." Confirmation once again that Red is Katarina. Red then walks the countryside as he contemplates death, Ressler gets closer, but a bull much like Islero gets even closer first and kills Red. Ressler lands in the field to find Reddington's mangled body and he places Red's hat on his chest.
Music For Raymond Reddington
A laundry list of music for you this week on the series finale. First we hear "Pendulum" from Pearl Jam - toward the end of hour 1 as dembe is transported for questioning after his arrest. Then as the shootout goes down we hear "Stay Alive" by Jose Gonzalez. When Red is sleeping in Spain there is a great track that we were not able to catch. "Familiar" by Nils Frahm plays while Reddington is walking to the market for some melons. When Dembe gives his final speech about what Reddington means to him as Reddington walks the countryside we hear "Knocking on Heavens Door" by RAIGN. Later, as he series moves into the final minutes, we see Red walking by a tree and climing a stone wall to the tune of "Tree" by TMBM. And at the very end we get "A Mi Manera (My Way)" by the Gipsy Kings as the camera pans aways and we cut to black on The Blacklist.

There is no rest for the wicked especially when the wicked is Red. He assembles the league of wannabe FBI peeps and Ressler to inform Cooper and the team that a top secret report is about to be stolen and if successful, will put the entire world on the brink of Nuclear War.

Case Profile for Room 417
Red continues on his tour of dismantiling The Blacklist operations as he calls a group meeting at 4 in the morning to let the task force know that it is the end of the world as we know it, if what is about to go down actually goes down. A top secret classified report about the US Nuclear Arsenal is about to be stolen and Red needs the task force to stop it. Why? Because if the FBI finds out who the theifs are they may just learn about room 417. What is room 417 you may ask. No it is not a secret torture room of some kind, however it is the outpost in the capital building for someone to spy on every room, chamber, office of the US capitol building. All intel received is then relayed via FAX to a central location which receives similar intel from all over the world.
Meanwhile Hudson leverages Ressler's pal Jonathan once again, this time to hack into Ressler's phone. Super easy just get Ressler to unlock it, let you make a call from it, and use it for at least 5 minutes. Thankfully for Jonathan and Hudson, Jonathan seems to be pretty good at this spy game. Sadly for Ressler and the task force Hudson now has what he needs to bury the Task Force for treason. In the end it is because the tap produceds a conversation between Ressler Cooper and Dembe how this central location is one of the many intel sites for The Blacklist that routes the info back to Latvia.

A no numbered episode typically means some kind of big mythology reveal or information as the identity of one Raymond Red Reddington, especially one with a title like "The Man in the Hat". This week however it is a case of was he or wasn't he as Red stops at a convience store for some Peanut Chews.

As Red's question to live free as a bird continues this season we find our Fedora wearing friend caught in a pickle as he makes a stop at a convienience store for some Goldenbergs Peanut Chews. He was coming back from Phildelphia to New York after picking up a present for Agnes. Turns out this is one conveinence that became an inconvienience as a armed robber locked down the store and took hostages. Dembe and Ressler arrive on the scene as they beleive Red was in the store at the time and wanted to get him to safety freely before the local law enforcement caught up to him. In the end Red found a clever way to escape as always, and sent Agnes her gift as well as a bar of those delightful Peanut Chews.
Elsewhere Panabaker is hot and wants Reddington by the end of the day. Cooper tasks Siya to make sure all their fiels and ducks are in a row pending an investgation from up the chain of command. In doing so Siya is granted full acccess to the post office history including details of her mother. Siya opens up the information and finds out more than she bargained for... she's adopted. Red does eventually confront Panabaker but in a strange move hands her the leverage Red had over her in the hopes that Panabaker would allow the task force to live to fight another day.

Elizabeth Keen has lost her father, her grandfather, her husband, and according to Liz her mother all because of one man, RED. What started out as a list to catch the worst of the worst Elizabeth has found herself to be enemy numero uno at the very top of The Blacklist. As Liz looks to escape into hiding to plan her next move against her on again off again crime fighting partner, she looks to take down Red’s empire from the inside. See Liz has a list of her own and she is doing everything she can to get these big names to flip. Names like Brimely, Chuck, Morgan, Rutteger, Hede, even Marvin Gerard yes all of them are targets
But remember Red’s cardinal rule, value Loyalty above all else. Every single attempt Liz makes this week to try and get one of the Syndicate to flip fails at every turn including even the man that went to prison for Red. Luckily there is a new man on the payroll in Skip Hadley and he knows how to play the long game for now. With Liz finally thinking like a criminal she convinces skip to flip and as a result steals $41M US from Red, scoops up her daughter and flies away to fight another day. Of course not before she hooks up with Ressler for a one night stand.

Robert Vesco (an actual person in real life), is apparently alive and well and in search of the treasure from the De La Cruz, a ship thought to have sunk off the Florida coast in the 1700's. It also turns out that he was once upon a time Red's mentor teaching him everything he knew until Vesco swindled Red for everything he had. Vesco and Red team up this week to find the treasure buried below an opera house in New Orleans with the help of Red's merry band of misfits.
Elswhere Aram and Samar are contemplating their relationship as Mossad is contemplating theirs with Samar. Turns out that Aram leaked some info to Levi, Samar's Mossad handler, that triggered a token be called on Samar's life. The Osterman Umbrealla Company is tasked with taking out spies and agents from agencies around the world, and they have their sights set on Samar.
Red however jumps into action and is able to save Samar from the hands of the company, kills Levi for putting her in the situation, and makes his bestie in Aram hate his guts forever. See Red has sent Samar away, for good, never to be found again and it breaks Aram's and all of our hearts in the process. This is one episode of The Blacklist fans will never forget.

To kick of Red’s welcome back party we hear the remastered version of “Bruised Bones” from Les and Band. Then as the old cons discuss their treasure hunt plan we hear “Steal of Fortune” by Fuzzman, Whammy Boy. To close up the first hour as Aaram woos Samar back over champagne we hear “In The Arms” by Lucy Schwartz. The Second hour “Love Like There’s No Tomorrow” is heard from The War and Treaty playing as Samar and Aram say goodbye and it plays out all the way to the end and the last time we will see Mozhan as Samar.

Eva Mason is performing "medical procedures" on mother's of sick children but it is really the mother's who are sick.

The Blacklist loves telling a good story about parents and their relationship to their children. Especially ones around a mother and their daughter. Enter this week's blacklister Eva Mason who is kidnapping mother's in order to perform tests/experiments on them in the name of their kids. Turns out though that Eva is not the one that we should really be worried about, it is the mother's themselves. Eva's sister was a victim of Munchausen syndrome by proxy or MSP and Eva has found a string of mother's that are making their kids sick and as a result Eva is going to make them pay.
Elsewhere Red track's down an old friend with medical tech background to help the Taskforce find Eva and while there also has him investigate the tracker chip. Turns out the tracker is a medical device used to monitor patients that are taking medications to see if they are actually taking them. Red then learns the tech was made by one Andrew Kennison, the same guy that voice box had Cooper put into hiding.

Abraham Moores is an old thief contact of Red’s that he tracks down after he is handed a love note from Elizabeth Keen. Liz apparently has stolen something of value through Abraham at least that's what Red believes until we find out it was his daughter, Jennifer Ann Moores. Ultimately we learn Jennifer was estranged from Abraham, but when he came back into her life, it became obvious that her gift was either imitation or genetic. She was a natural thief. This parent may not have wanted a life of crime for his daughter but she is in the thick of it now. Sound Familiar?
Meanwhile Liz and Skip are hard at work to spring #145 on The Blacklist, The Freelancer from prison. You remember this guy from the second episode of the show's first season, the guy that stages big accidents to kill thousands just to take out 1 person. Why Liz wants this guy out of prison can mean only one thing, she is out to kill Reddington in a big way.

This week we get the what happened to Agent Park in the two years after Liz's death story where we learn that her violent tendencies never did disappear even though her guardian angel in Liz was trying to help her back to the straight and narrow. Turns out she was approached by one John Richter to join an organization known as The Conglomerate, former heroes in their own right now turn private assassins for hire. John wants Park's killer instinct to be part of the organization and has her execute 4 tasks over the two year span to get an audience to become a full member.
Meanwhile Red and Dembe team back up to search the former apartment of Van Dyke to find a computer that once Aram decrypts it shows that the tracking points from Van Dyke's cell do not align with a mysterious new signal, one that was a tracking device apparently implanted inside Liz, as the last known transmission came from her grave. We also get 100% confirmation this episode that Liz Keen is dead and buried apparently with a tracking device in the ground.

Over eight seasons, Jon Bokenkamp has helped steer a large ship from idea conception, to pitch, to sale, to actually putting pen to paper. Jon has been an avid supporter of the podcast, of the fan community at large, but most importantly our friend. We used this 120 minutes to look back on some of the highlights of our interviews with him, share a few of the moments you may not have known about, and show how he has been straight with the audience since day 1 of the aired program. Could Red's time in the clink finally be coming to an end. He seems to think so as he sets Lizzy and the task force out to find The Cryptobanker, a man who turns dirty money into digital currency for the criminal underworld. This keeps Liz at bay while Red hatches a plan with Vontae and the gang to escape from prison. He needs to because in order to protect the task force, and not bring his current informant deal into the public eye, Red pleads guilty to all charges. Now he faces the most severe punishment in the United States Arsenal, death. The Cryptobanker is important in the plan to ink a new immunity agreement with the U.S. Government but as is The Blacklist, things don't always go according to plan.

Case Profile for #146-#147 The Pawnbrokers
Nothing says love more than a couple who run a pawnshop. But they just don’t deal in the usual jewels and electronics, Rod and Delaine Uhlman, The Pawnbrokers, deal in secrets and hot lead. If you trade in your item for cash, you have 30 days to buy your item back otherwise it hits the open market. Cross them, and Delaine takes you out. Turns out they came into possession of a way to break Chinese coded transmissions so the task force is tasked by the NSA to get it back as they race against the local Chinese consulate.
Meanwhile Red gets acquainted to his new lifestyle in “the bunker” making friends with new character Vontae Jones. Turns out Red knows a few people on the inside, and one of them is not happy to see him. Red and this guy Baldomero throw verbal as well as physical jabs at each other, but in the end it is Red winning this criminal battle of wits with a Rope a Dope Baldomero never saw coming.
Jennifer returns with her convenient friend Buck that can hack data to find out when Red officially met Dr. Koehler back in 1991 . Along with her sister, Liz is now pursuing a patient of Kohelers who may have crossed paths with our famously criminal masked man.

The Wellstone Agency signals trouble for Aram this week as he goes undercover as Red learns about the demise of one of his friends.

This week on The Blacklist Aram takes center stage as he goes undercover working for The Wellstone Agency, a group that arranges interpreters for criminals. Turns out Liz hired Wellstone to broker a deal with a criminal as she continues to build out her empire. In a nice twist on the interpreter angle it turns out the head of the Agency is deaf and Aram needs to sign for his life as Red and the Agency leader broker an arrangement. We also learned that Aram can speak 6 other languages and Latin but that’s only useful for talking to the Pope. Meanwhile Agent Park aka she-hulk strikes again as she goes after a man that torched and killed one of her best friends. Much like the rest of the task force she reaches out to Reddington to cover up her transgression.
But the big focus of the episode was all about Glen, and saying goodbye to the late great Clark Middleton. Red and Dembe arrive at Glen’s house where we finally meet his mysterious mother Paula. She informs Steven (Red) and Bill (Dembe) that Glen had passed and that he had one last stick it to Red letter for him. His dying wish was to have Huey Lewis, yes that Huey Lewis to play his funeral and have his ashes spread at the statue of liberty. Which Steven, Bill and Huey do over a heartfelt eulogy by Reddington.

Louis T. Steinhil and Katarina Rostova share pleasantries over the exsanguination of our beloved Red. The nurse Mila now known as Francesca, ends up helping red escape only because she is a pawn in Katarina's greater plan. Track Red to Dom’s house. We learn about an incident in Belgrade that supposedly put a rift between Dom and Katarina - making the rear view window story less believable now since that doesn’t seem like it was the last time he saw her. Katarina storms the farm house injuring Dom, only to have her plan foiled by Liz and the team. Everyone survives barely as Dom 's life hangs in the balance with only Francesca left to save his life.
Elsewhere, Louis T. Steinhil is cleaning up loose ends at his criminal holding tank when the FBI find him and he kills himself. That is if you believe this illusion. As Aram goes to followup with the medical examiner about the deceased Steinhil it turns out the body never shows up at the examiners office. The pickup was called off by an agent named G. Host.

Case Profile The Brockton College Killer & Rassvet
Hour one of this two part event treats us to The Brockton College Killer, a serial killer who stalks coeds. A man, Tobias Carlysle is on trial for his life, accused of the murders. A podcast, THAW, has been advocating for him on his behalf since he was arrested. Kimberly Owens is the host, and when another girl goes missing, Tobias is less likely a suspect. A professor is a major suspect since he has been accused of illicit affairs, but we learn, after Tobias is exonerated, and Kimberly and Tobias bump uglies, that it was Kimberly THE WHOLE TIME!
Meanwhile Liz and Dembe play some rochambeau to see who will tell Red the truth about how turned him in. Liz draws the short straw and Red seeks counsel from Katarina's father Dom. Dom explains he did what he did for Katarina out of Love. In the end Red decides love and friendship are more important with Dembe, except Dembe has a different plan.
In hour two Ressler comes clean to Liz about his quest for Katarina which leads Liz to Dom, her grandfather. Dom and Liz catch up as he tells Liz the tale of the craziest but bold plan ever. A tale about a friend of the family Ilya Koslov and how he allowed Katarina, who did survive Cape May, to remain dead all these years. It is an origin story of epic proportions, IF you can believe the old KGB operative.

Hour Two treats us to some classic INXS with the smash hit “Never Tear Us Apart” question though. Is this an anthem for Katarina and Koslov, or Katarina and Masha? Then we close up the episode with Red questioning Dom to “Catastrophe Anthem” by Clark.

A modern day General Shiro is on a crusade to save the world by killing those that would seek to squash the very thing keeping humans on the earth. BUGS!

Case Profile for #116 General Shiro
In history, General Shiro was a war criminal who used weaponized bugs to wipe out his enemies. Turns out this week's Blacklister is looking to repeat history. But much like Red, this Blacklister is only killing specific targets who are tied to a pesticide known as Hexapine. It was designed to kill off viral carying insects after a natural disaster but was deemed harmful for the environment. Turns out the creator of Hexapine is in fact our modern day General Shiro and as an entomologist his platform is to save the bugs. Without bugs the human race would cease to exist, so he blocks the legalization of Hexapine by kiliing those that would make it legal by infecting them with beattle larvae which then eat the victim from the inside out.
Meanwhile Red works his magic to pick a jury of his peers, which not sure how that works when his peers are criminals and you can't serve on a jury as a convicted felon. Regardless he seeks to stack the deck with the help of his neighborhood DMV friend Glen to find jurors in the records that would support his case. In the end Dembe and Liz have a conversation about Liz's mother that will have the internet "buzzing" for a while.

While meeting with Agnes, Red receives a call from Dembe asking for his help to get Dr. Michael Abani out of custody in Yemen because Dembe needs a favor from an old friend, specifically the mother of Dembe's kid.

We dig into a little backstory this week on one of our favorite characters, Dembe. Many moons ago, Dembe was a young up and coming university student who had a love of fine wine and fine women, mostly the women since he did not not drink. He also had a knack for being a criminal as he helped support his friend Raymond who had rescued him as a younger child. One day as Dembe is delivering a pack to a handoff, he meets the love of his life Aissa. One night Dembe frantically requests Aissa to leave with him and she let's Dembe know that she can't and is going to the states, but Dembe can't leave Raymond either and they part ways. Years later Dembe returns only to find out that Aissa had a daughter, Isabella. Yep Dembe... you are the father.
Fast forward to today and Aissa is now preparing to web Dr. Michael Abani, but it turns up Abani was smuggling money and weapons to the rebels against the country of Yemen. He is taken prisoner and Aissa realizes she can only turn to one person to save her fiancé. Dembe. Dembe then contants Red to see what he is able to do. During the events they find out his partner John was the one doing the dirty work, setting up an account in Abani's name. Red has a chat with the leaders of Yemen, turns over John, frees Abani, and gets a side deal in the process. Dembe gets one last look at his long lost love as he begins to amend things with Red.

This week in order to get clues on the mystery woman and Louis T. Steinhil, Red leads the task force to find Les Fleurs Du Mal, a secret party where the wealthy and disconnected from the real world go to be entertained. They mingle for the chance, sometimes unbeknownst to them, to have a chance to escape from certain death. Enter Aram... Just Aram, showing off his bad ass field training skills by sweeping married women off their feet on screen and off as he goes undercover to expose the event, and get answers on Louis T. Steinhil's whereabouts.
Meanwhile that creepy neighbor that just moved in, well now she has a key to your apartment, planted a bug in one of your kids princess dolls, dropped off a care package for your daughter and has literally moved into full grandma mode. But as we are lulled into a place of safety do we hear a passage from Red Riding Hood that showcases the wolf in grandmother's clothes eating poor little red.

Cynthia Panabaker is on the campaign trail for re-election for her Virginia Senate seat, however some others have plans to take her down for her comments about her opponent. Patriotism is in the line of fire once more on this week as an ex-secret service agent looks to get revenge and save the sanctity of the nation.

Case Profile for The Four Guns
Apex predator pick pockets are on the loose and Cynthia Panabaker is a target as an Assassin takes a shot at her while cooper visits her on the campaign Trail. Turns out the Secret Service found out a secret of their own, their guns and radios had been swiped right off their persons by the group known as The Four Guns led by Quinten Dodd.
The Four Guns were hired by the real focus of the episode one Lucas roth a former Secret Service agent that was ousted one year before official retirement because of the corruption in the organization he wanted to stop. As like many blacklisters before him, Roth took things into his own hands to take down agent Strickland, a man that put politics before duty. In the end Panabaker is the one that got the upper hand taking down both Roth and Strickland with the fastest gun in room earning her the title of Cynthia six shooter Panabaker.
Elsewhere, Red really had no focus on the case this week as he had other plans to buy an old book covered in arsenic to ship to his old pall Robert Vesco in prison. The book causes Vesco to have a breathing episode and transferred to a nearby hospital where Red hires The Four Guns to break Vesco out.

We take a pause in the search for Liz to settle into the port of Kansas this week as Red visits Anne. Unfortunately for Red, Townsend never rests.

In a quiet small town in Kansas a woman named Anne lived a quiet peaceful life. She enjoyed Tennessee lilies, birdwatching and the occasional musical. One day she met a man, a sweet caring man, who took her out for wine and chocolates before standing her up at the movies. Anne is a forgiving person, a caring person, and she forgave this man and he has been visiting her off and on ever since.
But this is no ordinary man. This is Raymond Reddington who is currently being hunted down by Neville Townsend. On Red's fifth visit to Anne to play some bridge with her friends Lois and Bran, Red is discovered and tracked ultimately leading to showdown at the local police department. Don't worry about Red though, Anne's wrath is worse than any time in jail. But even though they are able to escape Townsend, Red can't escape Lois. That is until Anne steps in to help Red get free. Red foolishly though turns around to see Anne being held by Elizabeth Keen!

In 1989 Harold Cooper under direct orders that weren't technically above board was funding fighters in Kuwait. On what seemed like an ordinary drive turned deadly as Oooper and his companinon Daniel Hutton were ambushed by the same people Harold was helping to fund. Turns out the ambush was a setup to kill Daniel Hutton before he could expose the operation.
In 2019 a secret communication arrives for Harold Cooper telling him the man he thought was once deceased is most definitley alive and so Red and Cooper travel to Iran to see this old ghost from their past. Turns out however that old ghost, now alive, turned into Iran's most wanted person and now he wants revenge. Cooper also has to make a tough decission on what to tell Main Justice about Red being an imposter, as well as the truth behind Kuwait.

Reddington seeks out the bank manager of Caelum Bank, a location of the funds that were used to pay LaCroix and Cole in the hopes to uncover a name that can lead him to Liz's killer.

We open this week meeting the person behind Caelum Bank, one of the most secure banks on the planet or should we say above the planet. No it is not in space, however it is in an always moving airliner making it super secure for criminals to store their monies. Red needs to find a name that accessed one of his accounts at the bank in the hopes to find a lead in liz's murder and the framing of Cooper.
Turns out the traitor is none other than Heddie who just wanted to have a better job when Red went missing two years ago to deal with her grief. But this is the Blacklist and in a not shocking turn of events we find out who the big bad has been this entire time thanks to a convenient wedding video of the best man speech. So if you guessed Marvin Gerard, in the airplane, with a sniper you just won yourself a pat on the back.

Case Profile for #149 Nyle Hatcher
Nyle Hatcher is hatching babies! He’s also a serial killer while also being a swell dad. Hatcher, who never had any family growing up is a loner trying to find something meaningful in his life. Now older and wiser he hatches a plan to become a creepy version of Robin Hood to steal from the rich, in this case the deceased rich. He steals not only their money but their sperm as well, and sets up a rouse to give to the troubled, in this case prostitutes. He injects the ladies with the sperm of the deceased men, helping the prostitutes to term, framing the widows for a fake infidelity scam, but he never ends up giving the moms the money. Instead he buries them alive in freshly dug gravesites, takes the money and the kids and raises them as his own.
Elsewhere Dembe’s Imam is in trouble as his Mosque is being targeted by the Feds in connection to Syrian extremists. Turns out the extremists actually turn out to be humanitarians and also have no connection to Dembe’s Imam other than attending the same mosque. The Imam is kidnapped by a woman presumed dead by Red and Dembe, in the hopes that she, one Katarina Rostova, can get the answers she needs. .

Katarina needs to transfer some money but she can't just walk into a bank. So she leverages a Hawaladar, an off book way of transferring money to other parties through an honor ledger system.

Case Profile for The Hawaladar
The Hawaladar is a type of IOU service that criminals use to trade money without using banks so governments cannot trace it. Essentially the criminal gives the cash to a Hawaladar, who then gives another Hawaladar wherever the job is a green light to carry out the action. Red needs the task force to help him win over the Hawaladar, Bhavish Ratna, so he can get information on Orion Relocation Services, which will lead him to Ilya before anything awful happens to him.
Meanwhile Katarina has Ilya captured and is torturing him to get answers about Red and the Townsend Directive. She however is not the only one asking questions as Liz confronts Katarina about a picture Agnes drew about a dead person in the park. This leads Liz to do a little detective work of her own only to discover her nanny may not be all above board.

Helen Maghi created a super impenetrable vault for criminals and the next piece of Red's quest is locked inside it. Cooper faces the music and Aram takes charge.

Red continues his mission to find who was behind Liz's murder by breaking into Reginald Cole's office for a clue. Turns out he finds a key to a super secret vault that criminals such as Red use to store their wares. The vault was designed by one Helen Maghi #172 so Red pays her a visit in order to draw up a plan for getting into the facility to the storage unit that is not his. The plan works and what Red and Dembe find is a suitcase of instructions for Liz that only Red and Liz should have had access to.
Elsewhere Cooper's case is not going well. First he ends up with a $300,000 slap for bail only to find out later that he will have to take a deal and end his career because his best friend Lou struck a deal for himself. This puts Aram in charge of the task force for the first time and he goes toe to toe with Red. Red not happy with this works his magic to get Cooper another month to clear his name but that backfires when Cooper decides that Aram should stay in charge.

It's not every day you get to go to work and find out that you get to crash a car, or jump a building, or even just watch great actors perform but for Cort Hessler, that is every day for him. Cort is the Emmy winning Stunt Coordinator for The Blacklist and he took a few minutes from his busy schedule to give you all a peek into what goes on in this crazy but super safe world of explosions, crashes, and fight scenes we all enjoy as entertainment fans. Cort shares in the interview how we started out as a stunt performer for Disney and Universal theme parks before taking one of his first television jobs on Sea Quest DSV.
But being a stunt performer and stunt coordinator does come with some challenges. Cort shares one of his scariest moments working on The Blacklist as well as the travesty that the stunt category is completely absent from the Oscars. But winning an Emmy for The Blacklist beating out shows like Game of Thrones was a dream come true and a long way from jumping garbage cans and BMX bikes as a kid. He has some tough competition this year with both Game of Thrones and Westworld in the mix but win or lose Cort is just greatful to be nominated with his fellow performers and coordinators because in this business it is truly family. Safety is of the utmost concern in this profession, and when you are responsible for life or death, you get to know the people you are working with really well.

It was a night very different from other nights in Chicago. A local theater in Lincoln Square, The Davis Theater, saw TV & Film stars converge to gaze at their work in a TV Pilot, Conrad. This TV Pilot is not yet picked up by a network but the fact that the evening was even happening is a story all on its own. See most TV Pilots are green lit by major studios or development houses. Conrad however was crafted from just a 2 page demo reel script written by one of the shows co-creators Ryan Atkins.
Applying to play the part of the female detective in this two page script Jennifer Karum asked if she could take this 2 page concept home to turn it into the Conrad story presented before us today. Jennifer and Ryan have leveraged their connections, finances and sure will to get Conrad created, shot and now at a place where it was ready to be shown to the public at the Chicago premiere screening.
Conrad stars Eric Roberts playing the father Michael Conrad, a Police Chief in his own precinct. Jennifer Karum as Katy Conrad, an aspiring police worker looking to make detective. The Blacklist's Harry Lennix as Detective Don Brewer and Hisham Tawfiq playing Officer Dan Nack. Produced and Directed by Kelly Tidmore, Conrad revolves around dark themes like human trafficking and what it takes to truly find out out the truth.
In this special episode your very own Aaron Peterson sits down with Ryan, Jennifer, Eric, Harry, and Hisham to dish all things Conrad as well as some life lessons from Eric, Acting History from Harry, and the one thing Hisham wishes he could tell Blacklist fans. We always feature the music on The Blacklist so staying true to form you can hear some amazing tracks in the Conrad Series. Rob "Diggy" Morrison gives us 10 pulse driving tracks on the official soundtrack for the pilot. Keaton Simons rounds out the album with an 11th track titled "Lift Me Up" providing a little bit of soul funk to break up the darker tone of the rest of the album.

Case Profile for Katarina Rostova
Liz wants answers from her grandpappy and sadly he is not giving Liz or that woman claiming to be Katarina Rostova any satisfaction. In fact Dom is willing to die to protect the secrets he has. That is until he has a seizure and then starts hallucinating visions of his daughter Katarina played by Lotte Verbeek this week. Turns out according to Dom that Katarina stole the Sikorski archive and now Red has it, but so does Katarina. Confused just you wait.
The task force is on the hunt to find Liz and her "mother" but Red gets the head start via a tracker placed on Ressler via Dembe. Red essentially kidnaps Liz and has Dembe hold her until this last part is done, killing a man named Heidiger to draw out blonde Katarina and end the conflict once and for all. Except, that conflict ends directly in front of Liz who will never be able to forgive Red.

Case Profile for #144 Newton Purcell
Seems only fitting that given all the work from home technology in place currently that we get an episode about how the hum of our data kills people. Or in this case really pisses off one dude who takes it to a whole other level. Newton Purcell is a simple man who likes walks in the park and looking up at the stars with the love of his life, that is until he is driven crazy by sound pollution from a nearby server farm owned by Optimus Data Company. When he moves away to escape the pollution the company follows him and sets up shop in his new hometown. The local city council allows it to happen even though a more thorough study was called for on the sound pollution, leading Newton down a path of vengeance.
Elsewhere Red is looking to score some cold hard cash by dealing in radioactive metals built into the auto parts of trucks. But Glen messes up the transaction and then has to rise up to the challenge and be the last known survivor in a "touch a truck" contest in order to prove his worth to Red. Liz is back on the mythology train as she hires a PI to track down Ilya Koslov. Oh and Aram was lied to and played by Elodie for 10 Million Dollars.

We get two versions of "Eye of The Tiger" this week. First is the original from 1982 by Survivor that plays as Red gives an epic speech about Glen and his motives to get the job done. Also plays again at the end of the episode as Glen Drives away in his new ride. The second version plays toward the end of the episode when Liz and Aram chat while Aram is at the funeral. This version can be found on the 2012 album The Beautiful Wild by Jenn Grant and it is on Track 12 called “Green Grows The Lilac”. It is a bonus track at the end of the album so keep listening past the first part.

Reddington pays a visit to Maureen Nemec, Kaplan's sister to find a connection that may prove Mr. Kaplan is alive. Meanwhile Marko Jankowichs son Laszlo has taken over the drug business which is now a roaring success.

Laszlo Jankowichs is the son of one Marko Jankowichs (Season 6 Episode 9) and in the wake of Marko's demise Laszlo has taken over the family business. He now works in the psychedelic drug space and has found a way to make LSD into a breath spray. Only issue is, he has used his own product so much this blacklister is seeing lions... literally. Turns out that his cleaner is one Clara Moore who just so happened to have studied closely under one Mr. Kaplan.
Red looks to seek out Calra both through Laszlo and Kaplan's sister Maureen (The Harem Season 4 Episode 11) and finds out that Kaplan and Clara were supposed to meet. Red takes Cooper Chuck and Weecha to the location to find someone there that looks very much like Mr. Kaplan but the results turn out explosive.

Arthur Hudson finally has his smoking guy and taskforce 836 is about to be put to, well, task. Hudson and team call a meeting with the Attorney General which leads to a summons for Cooper and Panabaker. What happens next is what is a shock to many especially airplane pilots around the world!

What does ice cream, a hacked meeting at the capitol, and an exploding plane have in common? If you guessed Raymond Red Reddington you would be correct. And that is just the tip of the iceberg this week as taskforce 836 is now under the purview of the AG and is being broken down piece by piece, agent by agent, file by file, screen by screen. It is finally time to say goodbye to the post office once and for all. Granted Red doesn't help matters when we goes off on the AG, and at the same time Cooper basically tells the AG flat out I did good work, I stand by it and I quit.
But it comes I am sure as no surprise to long time fans and watchers of this show that the AG doesn't give a crap about all this. He only cares that his noes is clean. So he gives Cooper the ultimatum that we all feared. Catch Raymond Reddington once and for all, or the whole team gets the book thrown at them. Catching Red however will be harder than it looks as he fakes his own death in an airplane explosion, (did you really think he died?), only to be saved by Weecha and his pilot EDWARD? Yes Andrew McCarthy gets a cameo this week on the show. Red pays one last visit to Cooper and leaves him with the parting words catch me... if you can.

Arthur Hudson is still digging around to find out what the task force is about and it looks like he may have a new ally. Senator Clayton Dorf likes tenacity and tactics just as much as he loves his Korean Barbecue. The two agree to team up and our countdown to an Arthur Hudson showdown is on. Speaking of showdowns, Red seems to be having a showdown of his own with either death or retirement as he offloads some of his most prize possessions this week including one stamp, The Sicilian Error of Color.
This stamp has been sought after by one Kathleen Sutton, the widow of former officer Nigel Sutton, who just so happened to be partnered up with deceased CIA agent Meera Malik and Siya's mother. Regardless of biological status Siya still wants to learn more about her mother so she teams up with Red on Herbie's advice to dig more into the past, which allows Red to wax poetical this week about his down, as he contemplates his life, those lost, and the mark he wants to leave on his legacy.

It’s a race against time as The Skinner is close to accessing the software that will give him full control of the most elaborate microchips in the industry. All that is standing between him and his glory is Senator Panabaker. Yes it turns out that good old Cynthia rose up the ranks and is now a US Senator and still loathes Harold and the team just as much as before. That is unless they are looking to do good. She agrees to let Cooper, Aram, and Ressler back in to the FBI as well as open up the old Post Office black site. Also new team member Dembe joins the team to take Liz’s old spot.
The team with Red’s help does eventually save the day but in true Blacklist fashion a win for the task force also is a win for Red. An old procedure in the line of The Skinner is to allow two former Skinners the ability to revoke the power of the current Skinner and select a different successor. Well it just so happens that the new Skinner is none other than Raymond Reddington.

The Postman delivers contraband to prisoners in the slammer and this time his delivery may be deadly. Cooper turns out to have a connection to our blacklister but what happens when they finally meet again?

30 years ago a man named Lawrence Nelson was put on trial for murdering his boss outside their place of business. A young Harold Cooper was on the jury for the case and was the sole member to vote not guilty. In the end, Cooper finally gave in and Lawrence went to prison for 25 years. While in prison, Lawrence befriends his cell mate Eugene who turns out to be chemist and a plan is put into motion. 25 years later Lawrence is released and for the last 5 years Lawrence builds up a criminal empire and is known to prisoners around the world as The Postman.
As The Postman, his long term plan was to take out the man responsible for putting him away for a crime turns out he was not guilty of. To do this he delivers packages to prisoners by way of a super high tech drone, and one of those packages is some chemicals needed for a lethal toxin that Eugene is assembling for Lawrence. Once Lawrence has the chemical in hand, he enacts his plan to take out the Maryland Attorney General but Red and Friends intercept his delivery re-routing it to the Post Office.

Robert Vesco returns as the leader of a radical religious group called the SPK, but is he leading them or conning them?

Case Profile for The SPK
The Supremo Priori Knighthood otherwise known as The SPK is on a mission from God to steal religious artifacts that have been protected and handed down through history. The group is looking to destroy the relics as they are said to be an abomination to the faith. Their leader Giovanni is guiding them on their spiritual quest, but maybe has different plans. See Giovanni is none other than one Robert Vesco, con man extraordinaire, who is using The SPK to get the relics to then sell at auction houses. Red is onto Vesco's game and catches him in the act.
Meanwhile as part of their reinstatement to the FBI, Aram and Ressler need to pass a drug test, which Ressler cheats on, and is eventually caught by Park. Aram decides saving the world is more important than the money he would make in the private sector and Cooper and Charlene allow Red to see a very aged up Agnes who remembers that sweet day in the park driving boats and eating ice cream.

Robert Vesco is back and being pampered by Red in order to smooth over their relationship, and to convince Robert to join him on a little treasure hunt. The Pot of Gold is an encrypted digital wallet that can only be opened by retrieving the passcode, hidden in clues to a poem that was recited at the reading of the will of the late Warren Bostick. Turns out old Warren was tired of seeing his triplet daughters bicker and fight so he gave them each three clues that if the three of them worked together they could solve and claim the family fortune.
As you would guess on of the triplets enlists the help of They Hyena to extract information from those closets to Warren including her sisters themselves. At the end of the day Red and Robert get the upper-hand on the Bostick heiress and claim the bitcoin bounty for themselves but not before leaving 1/3 of the spoils to the last remaining Bostick daughter.
But all is not sacred in the now repaired bond between Red and Robert. A messenger from Wujing finds Robert now a free man and informs him that Red is the one that put him in Jail. If he would like to know the full story of Red's betrayal he should call Wujing for the answers.

Dateline Season 6 Episode 3 - Spaulding Stark aka #124 The Pharmacist is apprehended and sent to Jail but not before delivering an experimental solution to our Red Reddington who seems to be suffering from some sort of illness. Maybe something similar to what Constantine Rostov suffered from? Fast forward to this week and Spaulding Stark is back and he is analyzing blood samples of Reddington’s collected by the non English urine and blood pusher Ernesto to see if the trial drug worked or not.
While we hang on that for a minute since this is the Blacklist, we meet an Obsessive Compulsive, Germophobe who is similar in nature to The Pharmacist. Experimenting on people to find the right serums to fix all that ails him. Or in this case MAY ail him in the future. His name is Norman Devane, and he likes needles. Turns out he hires a guy to hack The national diagnostics lab server farm to find 20 test subjects all with B- blood type, all young white males, and all with close to the same genetic mapping as himself. Using a former colleague of his (whose child was saved by Devane), he sets up shop at the Abbot Boarding School in Virginia, the same place where those 20 boys were enrolled.

Did you miss us? Since this is the week that we would normally be coming back in a non-covid world Aaron and I thought we would do something fun for all of you. Believe it or not Aaron and I do other podcasts. Shocked you are I know! But one that we are really proud of, because we hope one day someone calls us for our ideas, is Remake This Movie Right!
The concept of Remake This Movie Right! was born out of Hollywood's obsession to remake every freaking movie from Aaron's and my childhood and completely RUIN it. We got the braintrust together to tell Hollywood how these movies SHOULD BE remade for a modern audience, literally how to Remake These Movies Right!
From Short Circuit, to Stand by Me, to Gremlins and The Princess Bride, no movie was safe in our production of this podcast, not even Star Wars! (Audible Gasp Emoji). Now that the 35th anniversary of one of the most beloved films of all time is upon us we took up the charge to attempt to remake The Goonies.

We're the kids in America, or at least the kids of the 1% and we are being kidnapped by The Third Estate! Red and the gang try to track down the latest in the clues about the plot against America.

Case Profile The Third Estate
The Third estate may have once referred to the 99% of the French population looking to rise up against the wealthy 1% but this week on The Blacklist we are treated to something much more horrific. The Third estate is kidnapping the children of America's 1% in order to extort them for money too spread to the rest of the American population. Red and company believe that they are working for Anna McMahon, our late season baddie, but it turns out that Anna was one step ahead and sent the Task force on a wild goose chase. Which is exactly what the audience went on as well when you find out the Third estate wasn't kidnapping the children. The Third Estate was the children!
Elsewhere Ressler continues his quest to find the elusive Katarina Rostova, or at least her mother but instead finds a nice old man that reflects on his late wife's passing from cancer. As Ressler digs deeper he destroys the old man's memories of his former wife but not before getting a post office box that brings Ressler one step closer to the truth.

Artificial Intelligence is all the rage these days and everyone is trying to make theirs better than the competition. Now that competition is being targeted by one Dr. Lewis Powell, or are they?

Dr. Lewis Powell, a leader in the field of artificial intelligence, created an AI so sophisticated that it was able to determine how to save humanity. The solution? Eradicate AI itself. This means that the scientists behind AI and any computer able to create AI must be eliminated, including Powell, who was killed by his own creation, an AI known as Clark.
Elsewhere we are introduced to the female version of Aram in Agent Park, a new member interviewing for a spot on the task force with a mysterious past that she won’t talk about it. Francesca is also interviewing for a job with Reddington in a classic blacklist rope-a-dope loyalty test. Aram continues his adventurous ways with his sex mistress, while Brimley returns to cook up both some sweets and some creeps in an episode that will definitely go down as one to remember in blacklist history.

Case Profile for The Russian Knot
Townsend, utterly disappointed at the failure in Kansas is at this wits end with Liz. He demands she do something to rectify the situation. Liz goes to her mother's storage locker to look into what might be a clue to bringing down Reddington. One thing she finds is a set of old Russian codes and seeks out an old Russian spy to decode them. He tells Liz the only way they can be decoded with a Russian Knot, a sophisticated typewriter that encodes a message on one and then the receiver can decode them on a separate Russian Knot on the other end.
Turns out there just happens to be a relic at a museum in Minsk and both Liz and the task force want it. The Task force thinks they are decrypting a message from Townsend about Red, where Liz is trying to decrypt a message her mother had about Reddington. In the end The FBI is duped with a fake message and Liz finds the real message, using a Cyrillic alphabet, "It's time. Mobilize all assets."

A geocaching middleman serves up a Saudi princess to her homeland after Townsend turns her over to Captain Kidd.

Case Profile for Captain Kidd
Captain Kidd is a glorified nerd who takes his love for the web, stratego, and crazy fetish with geocaching and turns it into an enterprise acting as a middleman for criminals. He receives goods from Criminal Party A and then uses Droppers to hide the goods in a secret location. At which point he then conducts a transaction between Criminal Part A the Seller, and Criminal Party B the buyer. For this week’s case Townsend is willing to sell Sophia Maroon an LGBTQ+ champion and ally from Saudi Arabia to the Saudi’s so that they can kill her for her behavior against the the country and the royal family. Thankfully Sophia is pretty good with a a gun and takes out the Saudi buyers just as Ressler and Aram arrive to save the day.
Meanwhile, to move the mythos along, Park tails Andrew Patterson aka Rakitin to a block short of Red’s restaurant. Once Rakitin loses Park he confronts Red about Cooper and the FBI. This in turn has Red confronting Cooper pleading with him to stay out of it for his own good. Meanwhile Rakitin visits our friend in the east who is growing impatient with Red and provides a kill list to Rakitin with Coopers name on it.

#BooneIsBack! This week we see the triumphant return of Agent Elizabeth Keen, well 3 months ago anyways as the inevitable recap show of the season is upon us. But this is not like any other recap show you have seen in the past. This week we see what has happened since the disappearance of Liz back in episode 4 but from her point of view. We relive some moments from earlier in the season but are exposed to new ones as well. The scar makes a comeback and we find out that line about getting it at age 14 from the pilot...it was a LIE!
But in all the fun bits and interesting encounters between Townsend and Liz, the most interesting are the encounters Liz has with herself as she manifests her subconscious in the form of the former Mr. Kaplan played by Susan Blommaert. She helps convince Liz that she needs to be as ruthless if not more so than Red if she wants any chance of beating him once and for all. But how far Liz goes will leave shocked.

We don't normally talk about Bruno but this week Paul Bruno Jr is being framed for the death of the judge that put his father Paul Sr. into prison. Turns out that Paul Jr is being framed for a crime he actually didn't commit.

Case Profile for The Dockery Affair
Judge Dockery has a knack for falling into the wrong cases across her bench. First she took a case that put the dastardly criminal Paul Bruno Sr. into prison and then she took on a case for the death of a missing girl, Emma Moody, but the perpertrator Anton Johnston was released. Normally these two cases would have nothing to do with each other, that is until Judge Dockery turns up dead.
All signs point to Paul Burno Jr. as being the one behind the murder thanks to a note left behind on Dockery's Computer screen but Herbie one of Red's Associates discovers that this is not an open and shut case. Turns out that The Judge could not have left the note as she was paralyzed before her death, and the person behind that paralyization was one Anton Johnston. See the Judge and Anton were having an affair after the trial, and during one romantic evening Dockery discovers Emma's neckalace in Johnston's nightstand drawer.
But what does this have to do with The Blacklist, well absolutely nothing so whiles Red has everyone running around he deals with this own problems as Wujing has informed Robert Vesco of Red's partnership with the FBI. Vesco confronts Red about it, and Vesco returns to Wujing to being the plans to take down Reddington once and for all, or is Vesco a mole?

The Blacklist Renewed for Eighth Season

The Blacklist has been a NBC staple over the years and of course we love it because of the great fan community we all partake in each and every week. It is because you all keep coming back season after season, story after story, Liz loyalty change after Liz loyalty change that we are getting another season of our beloved show (The lucrative Netflix deal for Sony doesn't hurt either). Currently working on their 150th episode of the season, the cast and crew gathered to celebrate the achievement on the set in New York where the powers that be at NBC broke the news we all love to hear, The Blacklist Renewed.
“The Blacklist continues to tell exciting and imaginative stories,” said Chris Parnell, Co-President, Sony Pictures Television. “It’s due to the brilliant cast, crew and our writing staff, led by Jon Bokenkamp and John Eisendrath, who commit to unparalleled creativity. Before we get to Season 8 however we will need to resolve the events of the seventh season fall cliffhanger. With Katarina very much alive and in the wind, along with Liz having another leg up on Red what will happen when the show returns with a two part installment on March 20th, 2020. Aaron and Troy will be back in full force to take you through the events that will lead us to another inevitable season finale that will re-write the rules of The Blacklist once again.
The Blacklist creator Jon Bokenkamp, John Eisendrath, John Davis, John Fox, James Spader, Lukas Reiter, J.R. Orci and Laura A. Benson serve as executive producers.

In this two hour event for The Blacklist, hour one treats us to #58 Marko Jankowics a drug trafficker of LSD. He uses women who pose as being pregnant in order to get his drugs into the USA through Canada. Turns out that his girlfriend is none other than Margarite Renard, the nurse that Jennifer and Liz are looking for. When they try to kidnap Margarite, Jennifer gets taken and Liz barely escapes. But now in a bind she has to go to the two men in her life to help her out of this sisterly jam, Ressler and Red.
In hour two we meet #99 Minister D, a professional eaves dropper who has bugged many phones over the year to get rich off of bad guys. Turns out though In December of 1990, he just happened to tap the phone call between one Katarina Rostova and Alan Fitch conspiring to frame Raymond Reddington. It is this tape the task force must get in order for Red to not be found guilty for treason.

Agent Park's past history at the Anchorage field office in Alaska is up for investigation this week as a bunch of Red's go missing in what is known as the Alaska Triangle. Think Bermuda Triangle but bigger and deadlier. Thousands of people missing every year in this stretch of Alaskan Wilderness. This week however it is a secret shipment that Red had stashed in the back of a shipping crate that is directly related to Agent's Park's Past.
Elsewhere Aram is looking into the mysterious death of Elodie's husband and seeks help from the one man you don't want help from. Aram steels a sample of Radcliffe's blood to test it through Red's Rabbi blood sample bike service and when the results come back it leaves not only Elodie but the audience stunned.

First we hear “Best Friend” featuring Nervo, The Kocks, and Alisa Ueno as Tadashi and Liz come up with the plan. Then the execution takes place to Sofi's song “Batshit”. Sometimes you may find the song listed as "That’s It (I’m Crazy)" due to censorship laws. During the gun battle after a surprise rescue by Red we hear “Mascaron” from Lissom. When President Diaz is taken down and Agnes comes home we hear “Nothing Sacred / All Things Wild” from Kevin Morby, and we wrap up with an oldie but a goodie as we get the big Katarina reveal to Cream’s “I Feel Free”.

Aram is in a New York State of mind, taking in the sites as he rides around town on his trusty bike when he sees Reddington across the street getting into a cab and driving away. Moments later an explosion rocks a building nearby that just so happens to be the Chinese consulate and season 10 is off and running. Aram will appear off and on this season but is no longer a series regular.
The crux of the episode is setting up what will be the Ministry, a group of former Blacklisters presumably led by Wujing, who given the information from the end of last season by Marvin Gerad on what Red has been up to is now assembling a team to take down the concierge of crime. The task force also gets a little help being down two agents as Syia Malik is given on loan from MI6 to assist Cooper and the team while also seeking out answers to what happened to her mother Meera in the wake of her death at the end of Season 1.

In the first hour a copy cat art thief, Victoria Fenberg, is not only making counterfeit art items to profit from the originals, she actually is stealing from her own families personal collection to help her accomplice fund a lawsuit against her father’s pharmaceutical company. This episode is just the setup to the real plot at hand which is the second hour where Red and 5 of his closest criminal friends made a deal to each hold onto one of 6 gold caskets that apart are a jewel of their own, but together are worth a fortune.
The second hour turns into a game of Clue as one of the six dies unexpectedly followed by another and then another. Turns out on the smallest of the 6 caskets contains a micro dot that is a list of Turkish assets working in the American government. The Turks want it back and hire Cornelius Ruck to play "The Butler” Arthur Rodman in this game of who done it. In the end Red gets the best of them all and splits the sale of the caskets with Casandra, an old flame he left behind long ago, similar to Madeline Pratt, because he had to intervene in Elizabeth’s life.

Case Profile for #131 Alter Ego
Alter Ego sounds amazing. Essentially it’s an organization that makes your dreams come true. Are you a gay man wanting to fake a wedding? Done. Do you want to convince your best friends you date supermodels? You got it! Sadly for Timothy Peterson, the actors at Alter Ego have other plans.
Deidre and her friends concoct a plot to date Timothy, a poor trailer park resident, and convince him he has a long lost sister with a husband attached, and then off his real father, so Timothy inherits all the cash. Then get pregnant with Timothy's kid and then kill Timothy too so Deidre and her friends get the inheritance money.
Meanwhile, Red looks to get the gun thrown out as in-admissible evidence by trying to prove the search was unwarranted. This leads us to find out that the caller who tipped off the cops was recorded. How soon does Liz try to break in to yet another evidence locker to protect herself, this time from Red.

Vesco and Wujing are working together to find the task force's secret location. To do so they need to break a specialist out of prison one Dr. Laken Perillos. Will she be able to extract the information required from the one man she was never able to break?

Dr. Laken Perillos is back and she wants another crack at Dembe, the one person she was never able to break. He just so happens to know where the task force secret location is and she knows either he will give it up or Red will come to save him and offer it up in exchange. She was able to return thanks to one Robert Vesco, now working with Wujing (or is he) who sprung the Doctor from prison.
Meanwhile Dembe gets conned by one of his former associates which leads to his ultimate capture by Wujing, but the FBI arrives just in time to save Dembe from cardiac arrest thanks to one of Red's secret medical stations that the Task force now knows about. In the end Wujing discovers that Robert is a mole planted by Red, and puts the final con over on Red's friend. RIP Robert. We really enjoyed you on the show.

Godwin Page is one of Townsend's right hands. But because the FBI has seen his face Townsend sends Godwin away, but not before Red captures him in his latest attempt to take down Townsend.

Red, Liz, and Dembe are pinned down at. "The Castel" by Townsend's men but figure out how to use the pipeline to escape. This sets Red on a quest to end Townsend once and for all. Enter this week's Blacklister Godwin Page. Godwin was Townsend's right hand and Red hopes that by capturing him and planting a tracking device in his neck, Godwin will lead Red straight to Townsend. Turns out Elizabeth has other plans.
See Elizabeth, recently abducted from the Post Office in one of the coolest yet most ridiculous sequences ever on the show after turning herself into Cooper, is now Red's "guest" (we still say prisoner). She convinces Godwin to remove the chip and give it to her so that she can make a deal. Her life spared in exchange for Reddington. When Godwin informs Townsend of the plan, Neville mobilizes to capture Red. But Red with Liz in tow escape on his Jet to Latvia where all of the answers for the last 8 years will be revealed.

Frank Merwin is an accountant for criminals and one of those criminals has hired The Kazanjian Brothers to watch over Merwin as he makes his way from New York to D.C. Turns out these same brothers are the ones that were hired by Katarina to fake her death back in the fall finale. They were paid the bounty from Townsend for proving her death. This bounty then went to pay Katarina her portion as all as a small amount to a mystery person. So why is she still interested in Red? That mystery lies with the Sokorski Archives, information that she has been accused of stealing but does not have. Red may hold information about the archives that Katarina needs.
Elsewhere Liz is struggling to decided which side of the conflict she should be on. Should she stayed partnered with Red and take down this woman she believes is her mother, or should she side with Katarina and finally get the answers she has been seeking sine the start of her and Red's coincidental encounter back in S1. Whichever side she chooses, Liz is animated that she will learn the truth when Season 8 returns soon.

Two very recognizable scenes this week. During the hotel scene when Liz and Ressler find the Brothers we hear "Ballroom Blitz" by Sweet. Then at the end of the episode when Liz turns into Batman we hear "Painted Black" from the Rolling Stones.
