CARLOS ALCARAZ - ‘At the beginning of the season my goals were to break the top 15, so I’m reaching my goals so soon. I want to be able to end the year in the top 10, qualify for the ATP Finals as well and also win a Masters 1000 or win as much titles as I can. Good goals this season'

CASPER RUUD - ’The clay is coming soon and these conditions are tough, but when you stay here for a long time I think that you feel very fit, so having a good two or three weeks here. I can only see positives with it’.

LLOYD HARRIS - On coach Xavier Malisse ‘It’s incredible how laid back the X-man actually is and then you see how he used to be out on court. He was a fierce competitor and he’s definitely got me to get more emotions out on court in the positive manner'

FRANCISCO CERUNDOLO - ‘I think here (Tour) everyone plays great, the level is higher, the intensity, but the hunger that there is in Challenger and the will there is to win I think is more than here'

JOHN ISNER - On keeping himself fit - ’The treatment’s very important to me I’ve always liked to lift a lot of weights, but I mix my training up quite a bit. I do yoga, I do pilates, I do Soul Cycle, I really, really enjoy the working out aspect of my job, way more than the practice court'

JOE SALISBURY - On becomming World Number 1 - ‘It’s not something as I had a goal to reach the number one spot personally, for me it’s all about the team, doubles is a team sport and for me I feel a bit bad that I am number one and Rajeev is number two’.

RAJEEV RAM - On Joe Salisbury - ‘He’s an incredible athlete, he’s such a quick and explosive player and then he’s a big guy, he serves well and probably the most important thing, he’s a nice guy'

FEATURE ON MANAGING THE PLAYER AROUND MATCH TIME - Quotes taken mainly from the World Tennis Conference and featuring Rainer Schuettler, plus the views of Cam Norrie’s coach Facundo Lagones, recorded recently for the podcast.

Rainer Schüttler - ’The number one goal for every tennis player should be to try to be as physically fit as possible. For me it was the key to know that I’d prepared really well’

Facundo Lagones - On Cam Norrie - ‘During the pandemic he was running 10-20k a day and he got real fit, real skinny and it was good for him, so that’s why in three sets he’s pretty tough to beat, he’s probably never going to lose a match because of physicality’.

Frédéric Fontang - ‘We have the chance with Felix (Auger-Aliassime) to work with Toni Nadal for one year now as a consultant and you can feel in the Nadal family that humility is everywhere'

Andrés Gómez - ‘You go on a lose another, lose another, but you need to start seeing the feel that you are going to start feeling on your shots and the improvements you’re going to have and then one day everything falls in place and you make your move'

This week's podcast comes from the Monte-Carlo Country Club and is presented by Seb Lauzier. The programme includes the following content...

STEFANOS TSITSIPAS WINNER'S INTERVIEW - Speaking to Seb Lauzier on court

GRIGOR DIMITROV ON HIS BACKHAND SLICE - ’Slice is a volatile shot and it’s one of the first shots I actually learned, I think it’s the first shot my dad taught me and I think especially for one-handers it’s vital. Against any opponent, if you’re able to find the right way of using it and putting the ball in the right spot, it really gives you an advantage to look at the right shot’

CRAIG BOYNTON ON PLAYERS TRANSITIONING TO CLAY - ‘It would be like running on wood and now you have to skate. It usually takes a couple of weeks for most to feel comfortable and not even having to think about movement, just more in strategy and you’ll see this as the clay court season progresses'

JANNIK SINNER ON HIS WITHDRAWL IN INDIAN WELLS DUE TO BLISTERS  - ‘Well it’s the most frustrating thing, because the worst thing for me is to lose without competing. We try to find solutions in the best possible way so it’s not going to happen anymore, but I’m happy right now that I don’t feel anything, the body is good, the body is safe and let’s see in the next couple of months if something happens and if not, we have to change'

STAN WAWRINKA ON HIS GOALS FOR THE SEASON - ‘I don’t have right now the goal for the end of my career because I’m far away from the level I want to be. I still need a few weeks and months to be feeling good on the court and I think by the end of the year I will know what I want to achieve or what I want to try to achieve before the end of my career'

JUAN CARLOS FERRERO ON ALCARAZ’S DEVELOPMENT ‘He’s growing up match-by-match, but of course he’s surprising me week-by-week because after very important things happen to him and this level that he’s doing, he’s handling very good and it seems like everything is normal to him and he tries to do things as normal as he can, but life is changing for him and then team, but the good thing is that I have a lot of experience of that'

FELICIANO LOPEZ ON BARCELONA TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR DAVID FERRER - 'I told him many times he should still be playing because you see him, he’s in great shape and we hit a couple of times this year and he was as tough as he was, nothing has changed from his last match’.

FEATURE ON COURT POSITIONING - Quotes taken mainly from the World Tennis Conference and featuring coaches Liam Smith, Janko Tipsarevic & Brad Gilbert, plus thoughts from Daniil Medvedev, speaking in Miami.

Liam Smith - ‘I think sometimes a lot of young players are just told to play a certain way and there’s not always enough education or awareness of the situation about where you need to be on the court'

Janko Tipsarevic - ‘In my opinion the real aggressive play in the modern day tennis player is not being done with the speed of the arm, but rather how fast you’re cutting the angles, covering the court and positioning yourself on court to take away time and space from your opponent’

Brad Gilbert - ‘Everbody is always focussed on their game, what they can do and what they can’t do. I was always thinking about my opponents strengths and weaknesses’.
