Dragon Quest Dai is a classic series that's had a hit anime still airing in the modern day, and has gained a pretty loving audience. As the series enters it's end game, I wanted to talk (and ramble) about a lot of the themes, content, & context people seem to be missing from the series. Well, I have a lot more free time since work hours got cut (Nervous laughter, and finger guns) I should have more time to get better topics, planning, editing, etc. this one is a little weaker though due to me getting over being sick, and with my family also being home, I have to record down stairs for now. Hey all, this week I'll be discussing fanservice, and I'll be using Fairy Tail as an example of when it's used far too much in a story. While I don't think fanservice is inherently a bad thing, too much of a good thing is always bad for you, and Fairy Tail as series is pretty much fanservice the anime. I'll also briefly talk about the Future Trunks arc of Dragon Ball Super too, kinda all over the place, but just wanted to get all my thoughts out for it. Hopefully you have a good time giving this one a listen, it was fun to just talk about a subject that's kinda silly and at the same time serious.
