This weeks session is all about cannabis edibles! Cannabis Edibles are a type of cannabis product that you consume by eating or drinking the product instead of inhaling it. When you consume cannabis this way, the body converts the ∆9-THC to 11-OH-THC. This metabolite is considered to be more intense than ∆9 and has a longer duration of action in the body. The high from inhaled cannabis lasts from 30-120 minutes depending on tolerance and metabolism. The high from edibles can last up to 8 hours with the average duration being 6 hours for most people. | |||

The dispensary that I went to was called Zen Leaf and it was located in downtown Chicago. It does have free parking, but that's about the end of the positives of my experience with this market! Today's session holds the Terpene Therapy record for the longest episode title! (so far!) I wanted to do a little bit of show and tell this week featuring some products that I got on my bachelor party trip up to Ann Arbor! Last week, I talked about some of the products and my experience at Winewood Organics. So, this week I'm talking about my experience at Information Entropy! The in-house flower at Information Entropy is of equal quality to the in-house flower from Winewood Organics. Both of those stores get the Terpene Therapy Seal of Approval! That being said, I tried some hash rosin that I feel was not worth the price from a company who's lobbied against allowing people to grow their own cannabis. Because it is a plant, people should have the choice to either grow their own or purchase cannabis from a licensed retailer. That is my opinion and I will always stand by it. The rosin I got was the Singapore Sling by Pleasantrees. I would not support this company normally, I just had to get one gram to be sure that my suspicions were true. They were. | |||

2022 was by far the hashiest year on record! Here's my top five favorite episodes from this year! It took me a whole week to narrow them down! Terpene Therapy #017: - I really like this episode because it introduced me to a record that I was surprised I’d never heard before. This episode is part 3 of the 1st terpiest album list from @_cr.iii_ and we smoked some vampire slayer from one of the previous who’s who drops! We also used my @kylou.glass multi-artist collab recycler! 4. Terpene Therapy #033: Mescaline Containing Cacti/Leave The Peyote Alone! - I really like this episode because it branches out a bit from the general idea of Terpene Therapy and discusses Psychedelic Compounds! I like this one because mescaline has an interesting molecular structure and pharmacology! While it does have activity at the 5-HT2 receptor sites in the body, it also has activity on dopamine and adrenal release in the body. This sets mescaline apart from Psilocybin or LSD. 3. Terpene Therapy #001 - this list wouldn’t be complete without the first episode! I was so scared to upload this first episode that I almost didn’t do it! But instead of listening to doubt and fear, I decided to say fuck it and put out the episode! It feels clunky and the production isn’t the best but it makes me so proud to look back on! The power of sticking with a valuable idea is something that can’t be replaced. 2. Terpene Therapy #024 : Interview with @maxselectseeds - this episode was my first interview with someone who isn’t a KY local! I really recommend you go check out this episode, as he has a wild story! We discuss consciousness while in a coma and that’s all I’ll say about that! Also, if you’re looking for some rare terps to add to the seed collection, then look no further! 1. Make sure you stay tuned! I also have to talk about this clip I saw on Instagram the other day. There was a guy talking about developing a Terpene solution to be sprayed onto 25k lbs. of flower. To me, this is unacceptable and shouldn’t be sold on the market! As a consumer, I wouldn’t want to smoke anything that has been sprayed on with an solvent that is left to evaporate off the flower. It’s an unnecessary waste of material that could have been turned into edibles! If the weed is bad/old/otherwise terp-less, reintroducing terps is just covering up what should be considered non-smokable. As time goes on and we have more freedom of choice as consumers, I really urge all of y’all out there to take a second to think about where your weed comes from. And if your plug can’t tell you who grew it, consider a different route! | |||
