In the latest episode of Tennis Weekly, Joel and Kim catch up on the first round of the US Open, which saw shocks on day one with Simona Halep, Taylor Fritz and Stefanos Tsitsipas all crashing out to qualifiers.

Conversely, the Brits have had a good opening few days with all through with the exception of Kyle Edmund, including a resilient win for Harriet Dart over 10th seed Daria Kasatkina and Andy Murray claiming a long await straight sets Grand Slam victory.

With easy progress for top seeds Daniil Medvedev and Iga Swiatek, most eyes were on Serena Williams’s farewell ceremony and her first round encounter against Danka Kovinic, which saw her progress through and live to fight another day before retirement.

They also reflect back on Emma Raducanu’s first round loss and Cornet’s fantastic Slam ousts, Kyrgios’s crowd irritations, Andy Murray setting up a Berrettini battle and doubles being given prime time slots on show courts.

Chris also reveals his CAS predictions which are looking a bit the worse for wear after early exits, and they all look ahead to 3rd round matches and predict which matches could cause a spanner in the works.

In the latest episode of Tennis Weekly, Kim and Chris round up on the 4th round action so far from the US Open.

Was it ever even in doubt? This week, Joel, Kim and Chris catch up on the ATP Tour Finals, which saw Novak Djokovic go undefeated and claim his sixth title at the event plus become the oldest ever Singles winner with a victory of Casper Ruud in Sunday’s final. They also discuss Joe Salisbury clinching the doubles title for Great Britain, and look ahead to see who will be making the cut at the Tour Finals in 2023.

They also discuss Novak Djokovic’s pathway to further Australian Open glory opening up due to his visa ban being overturned, as well as the Davis Cup Finals getting underway in Malaga this week in the final event of the season.

Tennis is back! And so are Joel, Kim and Chris who get their teeth into what's in store for the 2023 tennis season, which has already seen a handful of tournament Champions being crowned and a lot of off-season chat to excite the tennis world.

In another special episode live from the Billie Jean King Cup Finals (or rather an apartment with a cathedral view), Joel, Kim and Chris reflect on the final two rubbers between Great Britain and France. The day saw Caroline Garcia fending off a second set resurgence from Harriet Dart to seal victory for France and the British duo of Olivia Nicholls and Alicia Barnett snatching victory in the doubles match against Clara Burel and the experienced Kristina Mladenovic.

Joel and Chris are back to round off Tennis Weekly’s coverage of the Madrid Open. It’s been an eventful finals weekend with home favourite Carlos Alcaraz defending his title and Sabalenka upsetting Swiatek in three sets. Grand Slam winners Andy Murray and Sloane Stephens dropped down from the main tour to pick up titles and Emma Raducanu underwent two of her three scheduled surgeries on her road to becoming injury free.

It’s also been a week of birthday celebrations on tour and a story of three varying sizes of cake opening up the conversation on gender equality whilst tournament Director Feliciano Lopez did his best to close down any speech from the women’s doubles finalists. 

Chris also tries to make par in ‘par for the courts’ with an Italian Open special before they both make their predictions ‘fingers crossed’ for the Men’s and Women’s draws in Rome.

Bring on Paris! The French Open has begun with Joel and Kim catching up on the first round of action from Roland Garros, whilst Chris makes the trip to Paris to soak up the sights of Round 2.

The Wimbledon Draw is out!

Fresh off the back of a trip to The Boodles earlier in the week, Kim and Chris dust off their Wimbledon tents, get their strawberries out and sink their Pimms-stained teeth into the 2023 Wimbledon Singles draws, looking at projected quarter final match ups, top seeds’ pathways and first round highlight matches.

They consider the draws quarter by quarter, make some potentially regrettable predictions and also reveal the anticipated Collect a Set player picks for this year’s Wimbledon edition.

It’s Finals weekend at the US Open and Joel, Kim and Chris reunite to round up the results, which saw Coco Gauff win her maiden Grand Slam title and Novak Djokovic become a 24-time Grand Slam Champion as he continues to make history on the court.

With Gauff fighting back from a set down to put aside the new world No.1 Aryna Sabalenka and become the fairytale story of New York, and Djokovic winning a marathon 2nd set on his way to a straight sets victory over Alcaraz’s conqueror Daniil Medvedev, the trio discuss all the key talking points from both finals.

GB have done it, they have qualified for the Davis Cup Finals in Malaga! It came down to the final game of the final tie in Manchester and what a match it was. Dan Evans and Neal Skupski sealed the win, saving 4 match points to book their place in the Finals. 

Also in the finals will be Australia who defeated Switzerland 3-0 to guarantee their place in the last 8. Big wins for Alex de Minaur and rock solid doubles team and former Wimbledon Champions, Purcell and Ebden.

We also had the Davis Cup tie between Denmark and Brazil covered thanks to roving reporter Alina Soponar and production assistant Christoffer Tunsäter. We got an English language exclusive on Holger Rune's take out from his 2023 season, reuniting with his childhood coach and plans for 2024 to mitigate injury.

Joel and Kim are in sunny Malaga for the Davis Cup Finals, where the Final 8 countries have been battling it out for the chance to take home the so-called ‘World Cup of Tennis’.

With Serbia dispatching Great Britain in the two singles rubbers to progress through tp the semi finals, and Italy clawing past The Netherlands in a decisive doubles rubber, it looks set for a Sinner v Djokovic rematch on Saturday, with the pair meeting for the 3rd time in less than two weeks.

Meanwhile, surprise package Finland knocked out defending champions Canada and Australia came back from the brink to put an end to Czech hopes thanks to the heroics of Aussie Number 1 Alex De Minaur.

Joel and Kim are back in their seaside apartment to catch up on all the Semi Finals action live from Malaga, as Italy and Australia claw their way past their respective opponents Serbia and Finland, albeit it in quite different manners.

Jannik Sinner saves 3 match points en route to defeating Novak Djokovic in a dramatic singles rubber, before teaming up with Lorenzo Sonego in the decisive doubles to defeat Djokovic (again!) and Kecmanovic to send Italy into their first Davis Cup Final since 1998.

Meanwhile, Alexei Popyrin and Alex De Minaur got the job done efficiently for Australia on Friday, dispatching Otto Virtanen and Emil Ruusuvuori in straight sets and ending the dream of the Finnish team and fans. Australia are aiming to go one better and improve on their runner up position from the 2022 Finals.

The stage is set for a thrilling final between Italy and Australia on Sunday, with the 2023 Davis Cup title all to play for.
