Another great week at the DW World Championship ended in a win for Rory.  Can he become the GOAT of Europe?  We also look at the 10 players graduating to the PGA Tour next year and ask why was this not followed better on TV!  Slow play, broken clubs and the Mid Amateur Championships make a return to Scottish Golf.

It is very sad to hear of the passing of Mr Golf, Jim Farmer this week and it seems like a good time to repost this interview from one of our very early podcast episodes back in 2019.  Jim was a legend of the game of golf in Scotland and St Andrews.  A great player, a fantastic coach and a well kent face to so many involved in the game.  He will be missed by many.  RIP Jim

This week we look back at another amazing week on the DP World Tour with probably the best finish of the season on any tour!  Also, another mini dive into the handicap system and our thoughts.

Tyrrell wins again and Sepp wins on PGA Tour.  Are they both a shoe-in for a Ryder Cup place?  We talk about all of the past weeks golf plus give our Major Championship predictions for 2025.

One of our favourite events of the golfing calendar took place this past week with a Ryder hopeful winning by 7 shots!  Also LIV, TGL, Qatar and Tiger..

The fifth biggest event in mens golf took place this last weekend with Rory proving he is the man to beat this year.  Bob had another very solid week.  Other stories include stolen phones, entitlement issues and seniors golf.

This is an episode we recorded in 2020 with long time Sky Sports Golf lead presenter, David Livingstone from Glasgow which we thought is well worth a revisit.  We will be back to our normal pod next week with a review of the 2024 golfing season.  

This is the story of a humble Glasgow lad, who rose from reporting news in the local rag to sitting alongside Jack Nicklaus while presenting the US Masters live from Augusta National.

David admits to stumbling into TV and golf after joining Sky Sports in its infancy.  He presented 12 Ryder Cups, umpteen major championships and travelled the world following the best players in the game for over 25 years. He has worked alongside some amazing people including Tony Jacklin and Jack Nicklaus as well as interviewing everyone from Arnold Palmer to Rory McIlroy. He talked about his relationships with Seve and Tiger Woods and tells some great stories of his best pal, Butch Harmon. He gave an insight into what is involved in broadcasting a golf tournament and how things have changed over the years. In a very honest chat, David also talks about his thoughts on Augusta, Earl Woods and even the BBC.

Unassuming, professional, great fun but most of all a gentleman.

Scottish Golf released a report showing that there has been a slight decline in golf club memberships.  Is this something to worry about?  Why is it happening?  We give our pennysworth in this podcast.
