We conducted our own research survey on young women like ourselves who kindly told us what period products they use and why - we analyse the results of this survey and touch upon our personal experiences. We give a historical overview of period products, talk about the immense damage disposable period products are having on the environment and discuss how sustainable products, such as the menstrual cup, washable pads/underwear have room for improvement. An overarching topic throughout the entirety of this podcast is the prominent social stigma towards periods, which still pressures women to be discreet and shameful about one of the most natural bodily processes.
