This month's podcast is one that's very close to our hearts; from our very own family member Tom Moxham aka 'quince'. Tom has been a vital player to the SUNANDBASS core team for many years; maybe you've met or chatted with him along the way, or caught his sets in 2018 & 2019, or maybe you enjoyed listening to the podcasts that he curated during his time with us? Although Tom has moved on to new adventures, he will always be one of the SUNANDBASS family, and after all of his years curating the podcast, we are now honoured to have him come back for his own mix this month, and what a mix it it! "Having curated the podcast for the last 2 years and worked for SUNANDBASS for the last 6 years, doing a guest mix for the podcast is something I have wanted to do for some time, and it felt lovely to be asked. Having been lucky enough to play the Beach Stage and Ambra Night Gazebo the last two festivals, this mix really is exactly the sort of set I'd have planned for those if this year was happening. Long time friends of the SUNANDBASS family, Kred & Handy (aka Matt Elms and Andy Easton) have rolled out this month’s Podcast. Spring is in the air – and it feels like the countdown to SUNANDBASS 2015 is truly underway! Releasing records together since 1996 (and individually since 1991!), the guys have since graced the scene with 3 LP’s and hundreds of singles and EP’s, their contribution to the drum and bass landscape both essential and highly influential. SUNANDBASS Podcast #38 – @f-d & @i_am_arpxp Welcome to a special edition of the SUNANDBASS Podcast! As of September, SUNANDBASS will be bringing it’s own label to the table once again. With some of the artists closely affiliated to the festival making some great music, SUNANDBASS wanted to release it to the community and share their sound to further represent what the festival stands for. Just a few days until SUNANDBASS 2015, and what a perfect way to bring you to the Island for your yearly dose of beats, beach and bass. DJ Patife is a name synonymous with drum and bass and Brazil. Involved in the scene there since the 90’s, his unique take on the sound began to reach further afield after he and fellow countrymen bought us the ‘The Brasil EP’ on V Recordings in 2001. An exciting, fresh release coming from a new angle at the time, the EP opened the door for the Brazilian take on drum and bass to reach that little bit further, and to help spread their vibe to the world.
