We have decided to split our normal "Round Table" podcast into two separate podcasts. The first being the Tournament Golf Recap show where this allows us more time to dive into all of the golf played around the world and the storylines they produce. Hope you all enjoy and look for the normal "Round Table" podcasts for our topic based conversations.

This week we have a deep dive into Tigers early career as a Junior, Amateur, and Collegiate Golfer. Many average golf fans are probably unaware of the dominance that Iger showed from such a young age. We also get into some of our favorite Tiger stats from over the years, hopefully he is not done yet. This week we dive into the Valspar and the epic playoff between to emerging young athletes, Sam Burns and Davis Riley. You are probably familiar with Sam Burns but Davis will be a household name in the near future. A lot going in this week in the game of golf...

The LIV Golf Invitational Series is having their inaugural event this week in London. Names like Dustin Johnson and Kevin Na have renounced their affiliation to the PGA Tour and have committed to the LIV. The long term effect of these choices is yet to be determined but the drama is high. Along with those notable names are some very young athletes we were very surprised to see... Peter Uihlein, Turk Pettit, James Piot, and Andy Ogletree just to name a few.

Pete is the Director of Golf Courses and Grounds at Congressional, and was heavily involved in a recent re-imagination of the historic Blue Course that was led by renowned golf course architect Andrew Green.

We talk about the incredible work that was done to get this club ready for not only the Women’s PGA, but an upcoming Men’s PGA Championship and Ryder Cup in the years to come. Pete also sheds light on his career path that led him to this position, including building Kinloch and spending the next 15 years there as Head Superintendent.

Lester is a member of the ASGCA and started his own design firm, George Golf Design, over thirty years ago. Since then he has completed dozens of historic restorations and renovations at places like The Greenbrier's Old White course, Country Club of Florida, Vestavia Country Club, and Tom's home course, Cavalier Golf and Yacht Club.

He is perhaps best known for building two of the great modern designs of the 21st century, Kinloch Golf Club and Ballyhack.

Lester shares his knowledge and stories, as well as some intel on projects in development which we are pleased to share with you on this show.

Trey was fortunate enough to get an invite to play in the 29th Renaissance Cup across the pond in Ireland. The Renaissance Cup is Tom Doak's annual invitational where he unveils his newest course to his friends, clients, and colleagues.

This year had about 80 players entered into the tournament which is a 2-man, no strokes, 9-hole match play event.

More than just a competitive tournament, this is an incredible event for learning about architecture meeting people who have unparalleled knowledge and passion for different parts of the game.

Trey discusses favorite parts of the whirlwind trip and his new loves of links golf.

Rosey welcomes his cousin Steve on the show this week. Coach Bailey is in his 13th season at Marquette, and has done a fantastic job building his program from the ground up.

Coach Bailey has been named Big East Coach of the Year 4 times, and picked up 3 conference championships in the last 8 years.

We discuss his journey and how he reached such a high level despite not playing college golf himself. From AJGA intern to Assistant Coach at Northwestern under legendary instructor Pat Goss.

Today’s guest is Michael Chupka, Director of Communications for Bandon Dunes Golf Resort.

Michael grew up playing out of Brandermill Country Club in the Richmond, VA area. He then earned a scholarship to play his college golf at JMU.

In 2007, he set off for Oregon after getting an internship at Bandon Dunes, and as fate would have, it he never left!

Michael has held many key positions at the resort in the last 16 years, including Head Pro at Pacific Dunes which then led to his current role as Director of Communications for the entire operation.

Michael oversees all of the great media content and press that comes out of the resort, and is closely connected with the powers that be at BDGR including the Keiser family and the golf course architects who have made their mark at Bandon.

We enjoyed learning about Michael’s story, and got some insight on the newly announced 19 hole par 3 course that is under construction now!

Trey, Parker and Myself put down with Curtis Thompson (2020 Korn Ferry Q-school Champion, and Winner of the 2020 Evan Scholars Korn Ferry Event) and talk junior golf, college golf, the ups and downs of his professional career, along with a few other odds and ends. Curtis was well spoken and great to talk to, he is looking to crack that top-25 number on the Korn Ferry money list this year and gain his first PGA Tour card.

Larkin Gross and myself sit down and reminisce about our Junior golf days, talk about his college athletic experience, as well as the differences in the collegiate levels. We talk about his experience playing in this year PGA Championship against the best players in the world and what he learned. It was a lot of fun and hope you all enjoy it.

Sitting down with Bryson we chat again about the Clemson golf program and the prolonged success that they have seen through different coaching styles. We talk about what it was like as a pro golfer during COVID and what the Local IQ Tour did for young pros and giving them a place to play. We talk about Brysons success that he has found at the highest level in golf and what it takes to get there.

Trey, Myself, and may father (Jamie) chat about the start of Cobra Golf, his days as an early amateur, the infamous round at Augusta, his career as a professional gambler in Vegas, and some stories from back in the day playing professional golf in Europe. Enjoy the nonsense and we hope you enjoy it.
