Heather is a paediatric and research nurse by profession, and a mom, a grandmother, and a wife married to her high school sweetheart for 34+ years! Her yoga and art journey started a few years back when she had attended my first SHE workshops (then called Feminine Magic). In this episode you will learn Heather’s defining moment in her “SHE” Journey, how “I am not ready” is perhaps your cue that you are, and how her SHE Quest work travels with her wherever she goes and has become indispensable!

Heather was receiving many sign that she should make “self care” a priority. Through my membership program SHE Quest, Heather carved out a space and time and made it a priority and has not looked back. She’s learned over the years that you don’t just “do” but “feel” yoga and art. It’s helped her to have tools when times are stressful, busy and you think you don’t have time - self care priority comes back full force to say" “that’s my time!" I’m still here .... I AM important.”

She attended the France retreat in 2019 and describes it as a magical soulful mindful week of yoga, art, music, journaling, nourishing food, and 12 new friendships - made in a castle in the South of France no less - now that’s self care!

Her love of words and stories, both reading and creating them, started very young and with the release of her first fictional novel ‘A Momentary Darkness’ in August 2018 comes the realization of a long time dream. Her passion for words and creating also shows up in her yoga classes. Through her own life experience, and through teaching, she has come to believe whole heartedly in the practice of Yoga as one that can offer space to heal, find strength, build new habits and that always provides an opportunity to take much needed time for ourselves. You can find her teaching at a number of yoga studios in the HRM or in her spare time somewhere near the ocean. In this episode you will learn, Nikki's tumultuous upbringing and what called her out of turmoil and into a spiritual life, her “enough is enough” moment when it came to her addiction and choice to live a sober life, her struggle to accept her blackness, and that no amount of action is enough and that there is a need to be called forth to relentlessly show up with brave honesty.

Jenn Salib Huber is a Canadian Registered Dietitian and Naturopathic Doctor. After completing her degree in Nutrition from Acadia University and becoming a Registered Dietitian, she went on to study Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, ON.

In practice for more than 16 years, she helps women navigate the physical and emotional changes that happen in perimenopause and menopause, including their search for food freedom and body confidence. Working from a health at every size approach, she teaches women to become intuitive eaters and build body confidence in their 30's 40's and 50's. Well-versed in the integrative treatment options available to women in mid-life, she helps women come up with a treatment strategy that meets their unique needs for a better menopause.
