Writing, and especially the 5 steps in the writing process, is an essential skill that every student needs to master. As primary teachers we play a crucial part in helping our students develop their writing abilities. I’ve found that when students have a blueprint for success they are much more likely to be focused during writing time. One major way I provide a blueprint is following the writing process throughout our lessons during a writing unit.

We've all been there. Trying different activities that most other teachers have used (and seem to be using successfully) but are a hot mess in our own classroom.

What works for one teacher does not work for all teachers.
