24 Jan 2025 | RT Podcast Ep. 40 | Beating Shin and Calf Pain with Solushin | 00:33:56 | |
RT had the pleasure of catching up with Ben Lindsay, the co-founder of Solushin, an Australian owned medical device that helps athletes combat shinsplints, tight calf muscles and a number of other lower limb issues. The Solushin is a research backed medical device that effectively treats shin splints and improves ankle range of motion. It does this by targeting the pain and inflammation associated with shin splints, and also reducing tension in your soleus muscles. You wear it immediately after training for 30 mins to 2-hours - you can walk around, stretch, cook dinner - just don’t run in it - you can treat the injury and recover from training, on the go. The Solushin is used by numerous pro athletes and teams. We’ve helped long distance runners, sprinters, dancers, rugby players, footy players and more across Australia, the US and UK. Altitude training has always been a hot topic for middle distance and distance runners. Many of the world’s best runners spend large chunks of the year at altitude, sucking in that thin air to stimulate the body into producing more erythropoietin (EPO), and therefore more red blood cells, which of course carry oxygen around the body. We thought it would be cool to catch up with a man who has spent the last decade pioneering altitude training systems, mainly altitude tents and altitude rooms. Rico Rogers is a retired professional cyclist, and first experienced altitude training whilst competing professionally. He is, of course, of the opinion, that without it, the chances of true success at the elite level is limited. We hope you enjoy…

First there was a 3:32 indoor 1500m in New York in February, where Olli set a new Australian indoor 1500m record and clocked the 7th fastest indoor time in history . With the Tokyo Olympics approaching, we caught up with Olli and dived deep into pretty much anything we could think of…
