Shyam was the first person I ever helped in this game, and Minil wasn’t too far after him in time. Both have since been privy to my biggest experiments and training ideas, that has led them to totally transform physically, mentally, as well as going on to win powerlifting competitions, setting records and becoming the embodiment of the mantra: the physical is the vehicle! “In starting out; stick with it, be consistent and it will come.” Timestamps: 00:00 – Intro 00:10 – Reflections on past self as compared to now 02:10 – Hindrances to feeling your best and taking care of yourself 06:20 – Self-perception based on outside factors 08:50 – Relating sports to fitness 11:25 – Philosophy in training 16:45 – Program hopping 17:50 – Training; Interest vs Boredom 22:00 – Accelerating progress in training 29:15 – Right body awareness 34:33 – Noticing the changes 44:35 – Life without training 46:10 – Mistakes done on training [51:15] – Training evolution 10 years from now 50:35 – Easy ways to retire 01:03:00 –Wrap up Thanks so much for listening! 05 Jun 2019 | Ep. 80 - Muscle Building Genetics, Psychological Currencies & Exploring Altered States Of Consciousness w/ Dr Scott Stevenson | 02:02:37
Welcome back to another episode of RNT Fitness Radio, and today I’m joined by one of the smartest guys in the world of bodybuilding and body composition, Dr Scott Stevenson. Scott’s been training for over 30 years, and has a level of experience few can match in this industry when it comes to optimising and maximising your muscle building and fat loss efforts. He’s a big believer in keeping an open ‘beginner’s minded’ approach to finding what works, while blending his experience, Western science and Eastern medicine all together. We talk about the role of genetics, inter-individual differences between people, the skinny fat solution and why the consolidation phase should be seen as only the start of your journey. What I enjoyed most about today’s chat with Scott was going deep on human psychology, the importance of creating tribes, and exploring altered states of consciousness in life. It was a real pleasure to speak to Scott here, and I hope you enjoy it as much as we did. ‘People who train the hardest, they do the best’ Timestamps: 3:08 – Where Scott grew up? 5:09 – Fortitude training 6:27 – Individual differences in trainees 8:28 – How hard do you train? 14:26 – Genetics and bodybuilding 16:13 – 365lbs freak bench press story 20:48 – Skinny fat solution 30:25 – How Scott got into fitness? 36:02 – State of unconsciousness 39:03 – Tribes and cohesion 45:25 – Psychological currency 52:48 – Bodybuilding forums 53:37 – Online tribe 56:34 – Social media and psychology 1:00:55 – Life in 100 years’ time 1:08:40 – Eastern medicine 1:21:47 – Anti depressants 1:25:29 – Good coaching vs bad coaching 1:26:31 – Scott’s new book 1:40:09 – 60lbs in 5 days 1:43:17 – Reverse dieting 1:44:07 – Mountain and the Sherpa 1:49:11 – What the hell effect 1:57:58 – Becoming autonomous in fitness 1:59:02 – Rapid fire questions Thanks so much for listening! 21 Aug 2023 | Ep 349 - Balancing Fitness, Parenting & Work (RNT Parents) | 01:10:56
Recently I was in a conversation with an RNT member who asked, “have you ever thought about recording an episode with the parents of the RNT team to see the different ways they balance parenting and fitness?” I thought this was a brilliant idea, and something I’d love to hear about too.
So I brought in different members of the team: Shwetha, Charlie and Ed into the studios, to find out the routines, tricks and strategies of balancing all the books. What’s interesting is each of us have kids of different ages, and each have different personal stories which influence their approach. It was a fascinating discussion that had me sneaking out the house the very next day at 5.45am for a run before my wife and daughter woke up!

25 Feb 2020 | Ep. 124 -Hall of Fame | Vishal Shah - How Physical Fitness Helped Shape & Transform His Life After Cancer | 01:03:25
Welcome back to another episode of RNT Fitness Radio, and today I’m joined by Vishal Shah, a fellow RNT’er based out in LA, who in the past year has completely transformed his body and life while working with us. His story is special, and I still remember reading his application form for the first time. Having been diagnosed with stage 2 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma at the age of 16, his whole life changed, and after recovering from the cancer, he struggled with anxiety, his identity, and poor lifestyle habits for the next decade. Vishal’s why is two fold. His first is to prove to himself that even after having cancer, he could achieve an athletic physique like his childhood heroes. And second, is to be able to serve as a mentor for adolescents who are in remission transitioning back into their regular lives. Having lost my cousin to cancer at 19 years old, this struck home for me, and I was so excited to help Vishal transform. Vishal began his journey in January 2019, and over the course of 9 months, worked to get into the shape of his life, achieved his initial goals, and mark his checkpoint with a photoshoot. Since then, his goal has been to build his lifestyle solution to stay in shape year-round. In this insightful podcast, Vishal goes through his whole journey so far, and to complement this, he’s also written a case study which I’ve published on our site, which you can check out in today’s show notes. ‘’I wanted to help adolescent kids with cancer that are experiencing cancer get back on their feet, and really believe and achieve the life they wanted to achieve’’ Timestamps: 2:32 – The three things Vishal wanted to achieve in 2019 5:37 – Vishal’s 3’s 10:34 – Having a support system/team 12:01 – Getting diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma at 16 18:21 – Not being in peak physical and mental condition 20:59 – Beating cancer 6 months before Vishal and the doctors anticipated 23:22 – 3 go-to methods to manage mental health 28:43 – How can someone visualise? 31:34 – The 2019 journey 32:22 – Letting go of your ego 35:36 – Managing socials 39:03 – Solidifying the 3’s 40:01 – The small wins 41:01 – Why the physical is the vehicle 46:03 – The spiritual change Vishal has gone through 50:13 – One thing Vishal learned in 2019 54:20 – Vishal’s action for 2020 56:23 – What makes a good support system? 1:00:03 – Advice for anyone in their transformation journey? 1:00:53 – Plans for 2020? On this episode of RNT Fitness Radio I’m honoured to be joined by Nilesh Dosa, who is the Founder of icanyoucantoo, a grassroots social enterprise tackling social inequality in non-privileged communities within London. He started his career as an accountant, spending 15-years in finance, banking and consulting. However, driven by a deep personal desire to change the narrative – because of his own lived experiences of growing up in poverty – he left ‘the city’ to follow his passion for making a real difference to young people by setting up a grassroots mentoring initiative. This has now expanded into a formal programme for 16-25 year olds, alongside a portfolio of growing humanitarian efforts. In this episode, we dive into the purpose and mission behind his work, the side of London and other metropolitan areas we don’t often hear about, what the change he’d like to see in education and schools, and lastly, how anyone listening can help fulfil his big mission. 26 Jul 2021 | Ep. 219 - Why The Second Diet Is Always Easier | 00:37:25
One question I get on a regular basis is: will it always be this hard? Will every time you try to tighten the ship or get into even better shape be as hard as the first time? The answer is no, if you do the first time properly. The time you start your journey is always hard because you have zero foundation in place. No education on training, nutrition, mindset, and no structure or lifestyle solutions to make it seamless. That’s why it can feel so restrictive at the beginning, because you are using a lot of bandwidth and thinking, trying to get it all done. The good news is, if you do the first time properly, the second, third or fourth time is always exponentially easier. I know each time I’ve dieted for a competition or photoshoot, it’s been easier every time. Why? Because I’ve got the foundations in place. That means I can be flexible, eat more intuitively and not even think about what I’m doing – it just runs as a way of life. This takes time, effort and lots and lots of learning about what works for you, and what doesn’t. There is always a pendulum you will swing on when you are on this journey – from feeling a bit restrictive, to feeling super flexible, to feeling overwhelmed and worried you might be obsessed, to then realising simplicity is king, and you can do this effortlessly, make progress, and reap all the rewards! “Second diet is easier if you do the first one right.” Timestamps: 00:00 – Intro 02:50 – Intuitive eating and listening to body 05:10 – Changing the way you eat 08:50 – Why the second diet is easier 12:00 – Reward phase checklist 15:30 – Continuous calorie intake 18:25 – Food focus 19:54 – Commonalities of those who stay in shape 21:20 – Eating your preferred meals 25:25 – Improving nutrition education 28:00 – Being in control of your diet 31:10 – Understanding how the fundamentals work 32:30 – Wrap Up Thanks so much for listening! 27 Jan 2023 | Ep 312 - #AskAV: Muay Thai, Body Dysmorphia & Apps | 00:59:45
Today I’m recording to you live from Phuket with a great friend of mine, Abhi, who jumps on the mic for the first time to interview me on a few recent questions I’ve been getting on the DMs. We dive into my Muay Thai journey, my first upcoming fight, body dysmorphia, our brand new app we’ve launched, and some of what makes RNT so special. By the way, I’m now 7 weeks out from my first fight, if you’re in the UK and would like to attend, I’ve put the links in the show notes. In these 7 weeks, my aim is to also raise £5000 for a social enterprise very close to my heart, icanyoucantoo, who’s goal is to provide underprivileged youth in London to coaching, access and resources to fulfil their potential. The link to donate is also the show notes.

Welcome back to another episode of RNT Fitness Radio, and today I’m joined by one of our RNT clients, Dan Hill. Dan’s a serial entrepreneur in the world of property, and over the past year has completely transformed his body to get into the shape of his life. In this episode, we talk about the journey Dan’s so far, and how an extended phase of Cleaning the Palate served him so well in achieving his photoshoot condition, as well as his experiences in Consolidation so far. Where this podcasts gets really interesting though is when we discuss the art and characteristics of high performance, the mindset required for it, and the introspection and insights you gain through the dark periods of a transformation. This is a candid and raw episode where we both go deep into why we do what we do, common struggles of high performers, and why ultimately, as Dan likes to say, success and failure are both very predictable. “Success and failure are both very predictable” Timestamps: 2:38 – Post photoshoot 8:56 – The mental game 11:04 – The mind games throughout the transformation 16:52 – What pushed Dan towards a photoshoot 21:43 – Insights Dan gained from the experience 22:15 – Creating hacks during the transformation 25:43 – The last 10 years 30:48 – Emotions during the cut 35:17 – Being relentless 36:24 – Social stigmas 38:08 – What drives someone 45:18 – High performance and burn out 45:35 – Dan’s yang 46:48 – Finding balance 49:50 – What is high performance? 54:15 – Following the blueprint 59:40 – Parting words from Dan 1:01:58 – Rapid fire for Dan Thanks so much for listening! 18 Feb 2022 | Ep. 256 Hall of Fame | Rishi Patel - Why Mental Health Matters | 00:58:47
Rishi had struggled for years trying to find the optimal training and nutrition plan to suit his lifestyle. Being an extremely busy entrepreneur with multiple start ups, he knew that to really step up his game he needed to look after his physical health.
Having struggled with anxiety for most of his life, he also knew the benefits of exercise, routine and a healthy diet. The thing is, he didn’t have any proper guidance on how to successfully implement all of these factors which led to years of programme hopping, trying various diets and “biohacks” that never got him anywhere.
Finally, he had enough and decided to join RNT for the guidance and accountability he really needed to transform. From the start, Rishi went all in and managed to make very consistent gains for a long period of time.
The biggest challenges that arose came from the initial COVID lockdowns as this meant having to train at home for months on end which really hit him quite hard. He developed a strong liking to the gym as it could be the one place where he can switch off and give 100% attention to himself.
Because of all the progress Rishi made prior to the lockdowns, his attitude was far better in comparison to when he started. If the lockdowns happened prior to him joining RNT, the old Rishi would have just stopped exercising, neglected his self care and ended up feeling sorry for himself.
Instead, he used this as an opportunity to double down on his business ventures while simultaneously getting into the shape of his life. Inside this podcast, we also dive into his newest venture, Zeal, a mental health app that helps manage your mental wellbeing and connect you to someone you can talk to whenever you need to chat, or as Rishi likes to say, your always happy place!
This is a very real and honest account of Rishi’s mental and physical journey, so I’m excited for you to dive in.

08 Sep 2021 | Ep 228 - Is Muscle Building Really For You? | 00:38:21
The number one driver of muscle building is simple: training hard. You can eat in a calorie surplus, use perfect form, and pick the right exercises - all of which are necessary too, but if you don’t apply serious intensity, nothing will happen. In fact, without intensity, you’ll probably just gain a load of body fat. I know we’ve spoken about the choice you have at the point you’re in the shape of your life - embracing the fluff, or a lifestyle solution. The reality is, you have to earn the right to embrace the fluff, and if that’s your choice on the spectrum, this podcast is going to give you the things to consider before choosing this path.

And more importantly how she applied herself to the RNT methodology so she would always be able to run and jump and play with her son to their heart’s content.

06 Jun 2022 | Ep 275 - Hall Of Fame | Ian Bower: How To Run A Sub 2h 45 Min Marathon As A High Performance Entrepreneur | 00:52:42
In 2019 I set out to complete a half marathon, because I wanted to try something new and I love a challenge. My aim was to run it under 2 hours, which I accomplished with a time of 1 hour 58 minutes. So when long-term RNT member Ian said he was aiming to go for a sub 3 hour marathon in his first 6 months of RNT, I thought he was bonkers. And then when he got that and said he wanted to shave another 15 minutes off in the next 6 months after, I was just excited to see him smash it. And so he did. As an avid runner all his life, he’d never cracked the code of body composition, nutrition and strength training, the missing pieces for him to accomplish his long standing running goals, and most importantly, unlock pinnacle high performance in all aspects of his life. I really enjoyed this conversation discussing the mindset required to run such a fast pace, and the daily discipline needed to excel at such extremes.
Timestamps:
00:00 - What are the series of trigger moments that led you to join RNT? 06:20 - How did Ian find the process of actually making a change? 07:30 - What are the things he learned about nutrition that is a big eye opener for him 12:50 - Ian has been running for years, but what is the difference of running now with RNT compared to before 17:01 - Where did he get the mindset of being really competitive? 20:30 - How does Ian structure his life being a very busy entrepreneur 25:30 - What exactly has he been chasing whenever he’s running 30:17 - What goes through his mind when he’s running 40:31 - What does he think makes a high performer? 41:50 - How’s the physical been the vehicle for Ian 45:00 - What would he say to someone who’s been at the beginning of their RNT journey 47:27 - What almost kept him from joining RNT 48:30 - Final words - what’s next for Ian?

03 Oct 2023 | Ep 356 - Hall Of Fame | Daksha Parmar: Veggie Working Supermum Of Two Builds Consistency To Get Into Best Shape Of Her Life! | 00:50:35
After two pregnancies, health and fitness was always on Daksha’s mind. She wanted to feel, look and perform at her best, but nothing really clicked for her. Until her husband Devin came home one day and suggested they jump on RNT together. Having never weight trained before, Daksha went all in on the process to push herself beyond what she thought was possible. She built consistency, found her routine, and even booked herself a photoshoot, where she was in the best shape of her life! Now having consolidated really well, she’s set her sight on performance goals such as getting her first chin-up and push-up, whilst also picking up running. This is an awesome example of what’s possible when you dive in headfirst, trust the process, and reap the rewards of your efforts. 27 Mar 2019 | Ep. 69 - Stages Of Change On A Transformation Journey, Programme Hopping & Body Dysmorphia | 01:01:20
Welcome back to another episode of RNT Fitness Radio, and today I’m joined here live with Mr Kmak to talk about the different stages of change you will go through during your transformation. It’s a little different to the phases we talk about in the RNT journey, and instead, this discussion is based on the transtheoretical model, which is a psychological theory from the 80s that’s been used in many fields to help the process of altering problematic behaviour patterns such as smoking, eating junk or a sedentary lifestyle. Through this, we also discuss our own personal experiences of letting go of perceptions, comparisons and other limiting beliefs that have been guilty of taking us down spirals of paralysis by analysis and spinning our wheels. So, without further ado, let’s dive in Do you want to be entertained, or do you want to see results? 01 Jun 2022 | Ep 274 - Building A Real Career In The Fitness Industry (From A Burnt Out PT Working 3 Jobs!) | 01:02:03
After 1000s of hours on Zoom, millions of WhatsApps, Slacks and emails, it was incredible spending a few days of quality time with Ivan, who in March celebrated his 3rd year with us at RNT. As a small token of gratitude for helping build RNT to where it is now, and being there through thick and thin, all the highs and lows, and always always living, breathing and believing in the mission behind what we do at RNT, I decided to fly him out to Bali for a few days with us from Australia. It’s rare to find people in the fitness industry who practice what they preach and genuinely put service above everything. Ivan is one of those. The best bit is seeing how his career has developed, and how he’s personally grown so much over the years. From a burnt out personal trainer working three jobs around the clock (!), where if you didn’t work, you didn’t get paid…To now heading up all of our education and research, internally for our members, and externally in all our long form content. One of the best parts of what I do is seeing my team develop, and giving them a real runway to grow and make a life changing impact globally. When I started RNT, I wanted to fix the sad reality of the fitness industry for most: no holidays, no security, no stability and no career path. The reality for most trainers + coaches (both online AND in person) is a constant state of anxiety. I’ve been there, Ivan’s been there, and creating a genuine platform for trainers + coaches to THRIVE with their unique strengths, is a key driver in how I set up many of the systems internally. When Ivan was here, we decided to sit down and have a chat about his 3 years, and how he’s found the journey so far. Ivan, it’s been an incredible 3 years so far, and I can’t wait to see what the next 3 years hold.
Timestamps: 00:00 - Intro 00:30 - What stopped Ivan before from going on a holiday? 00:45 - What changed? 01:35 - Reflecting how a PT goes on a holiday 02:45 - As a PT - having a child, extremely exhausted 05:07 - AV’s trigger moment of switching from a PT to an entrepreneur 12:46 - Ivan celebrating his 3rd year anniversary - his RNT journey 19:30 - Ivan started to rebuild the curriculum 25:11 - Where do you give the most value to your team? 48:00 - Fighting Dopamine 53:15 - Technology as a gamifier 57:06 - What’s the most exciting thing for Ivan here in RNT

In this episode of RNT Fitness Radio, we speak with Shruti Sangani, an RNTer who shares a truly remarkable story to overcome significant challenges in her life. During the conversation, Shruti shares how her journey with RNT began after being abandoned and losing her sense of identity.
And what’s different about her story is how she started RNT underweight, and in need of gaining weight. At 39kg 5 foot 6, her goals were different to the norm. And in this episode, she reflects on how her strength and resilience during this time of being underweight prevented her from falling into depression, and at one point, even death.
Shruti talks about how her “why” changed to always being strong for her nephews, and how this became a significant driving factor for her.
Overall, Shruti’s story is one of hope, perseverance, and the power of the human spirit. Support Akash & icanyoucantoo

01 Nov 2024 | Ep 403 - 6 Ways To Sleep Smarter And Faster If You Sleep 6 Hours Or Less | 00:11:00
I’m not going to bore you with another podcast on the benefits of sleep, and why you should be sleeping more. In a perfect world, we never use alarm clocks, sleep as much as we need, and go to bed early in a nice relaxed state. But if you’re listening to this, chances are you’re in the real world. One with pressures, a stressful job or business, young kids and let’s face it… a busy lifestyle. Just like the 4000 busy professionals my team and I at RNT Fitness have helped to lose 20-60+lbs, keep it off, and build healthier, fitter lives. Most people I know in this real world sleep less than they should be. And for most I know who don’t sleep enough, it’s not always because they’re bingeing on Netflix or mindlessly scrolling. If that is the case, then stop this podcast and fix that first. Instead, it’s because they’ve got a lot to do. Or they have young kids who wake up early. Or their business or career just requires a lot of their time. I saw this first hand growing up watching my mum build her business while looking after the family, waking up at 3-4 am daily because she needed those extra hours awake. For others, especially in the corporate world, staying late at work is seen as a necessity (even if they’re not being productive), and it’s completely out of their control as to when they can leave. Which is why the advice of ‘just go to sleep earlier’ isn’t always sensible. If this sounds like you, then you need to learn how to sleep faster and maximise the time you do spend on a pillow. Sleep is important, so if you want to improve your fitness and wellbeing on less than optimal sleep, the six strategies in this podcast may be worth trying.

13 Feb 2019 | Ep. 63 - How To Stay In Shape While You’re Dating (and Married) | 00:57:13
On today’s Valentine’s day special of #RNTFitnessRadio, I’m joined by the whole team at RNT. This episode came from popular demand in the RNT family group after a long thread about juggling dating with getting into the shape of your life, so we thought we’d come together and discuss this for the single guys & girls out there! Ben also takes the mic and talks about how things might be a little different when you’re married. That said, one thing we’ve always enjoyed as coaches is training couples, and seeing them transform together. The level of accountability and support it creates can be a real game changer, and it’s not unusual to see couples achieve incredible transformations when training together. We then talk about where all are in our own goals, while getting an insight into Indi’s journey over the years battling through a number of different struggles, and still coming out standing on top. A truly inspiring coach, and I can’t wait to share his own candid interview very soon. “If you’re part of the inner circle, what you do and say to your partner going through a transformation will have the biggest impact on whether they succeed or not” Timestamps: 1:19 – How to stay in shape while dating 8:02 – General Alcohol guidelines 17:24– How to manage the second date 23:52 – How to get your spouse involved 30:53 – Why couples should embark on a transformation together 40:00 – Latest on our fitness goals 41:00 – Accountability to your coach 42:10 – How muscle building is similar to growing your beard 46:42 – Indi’s struggles with his own journey Thanks so much for listening! On this episode of RNT Fitness Radio I’m joined by Rima Patel, who comes on to share her incredible journey with us at RNT. After winning one of our unprecedented giveaways in 2022, she joined with the goal to get into the best shape of her life. Rima was raising two children after a divorce trying to balance work and family. She hadn’t felt good in her body after her two pregnancies but she didn’t feel like she had any time to focus on her health. She’d tried many “quick fix” diets and exercise programmes but none of them seemed to stick. Rima was insecure in the way that she looked and wanted a change that would stick for good. And after going all in on the RNT Method, she has found a way to do it all…The programme allowed her to balance time with her family, work and time to exercise in a way that would last. Her 12kg weight loss was just the tip of the iceberg in terms of her results. Now 20 months into her journey, Rima’s strength has gone through the roof! In fact, she’ll share a story in this podcast from a recent trip to India which will share the power of this transformation better than I can do with this introduction.

On today’s episode of RNT Fitness Radio, I’m joined by Tiffany Shlain, author of one of the best books I’ve read in the past year – 24/6. I got a copy of her book by accident a few months ago and read it all over one weekend. I was hooked from the get-go, and it’s taken my own digital health practices to the next level. In this episode, we discuss why everyone should live a life of 24/6, which is effectively unplugging from all screens one day a week, and what the life changing benefits are from this practice. We also discuss practicalities of the day, how to do it as a family, tech use for children, and how to manage your digital health the other six days of the week. Going off the grid one day per week is one of the best things I’ve done for my own overall well-being in recent times, and I’d highly recommend you do the same! ‘’Every great wisdom practice from every cultural talks about the value of silence and reflection, and we’ve created a society with no room for that’’ Timestamps: 3:41 – Who Is Tiffany Shlain? 4:53 – Feeling distracted 8:31 – Why is this so beneficial? 9:13 – 24/6 living 12:35 – Common barriers 16:59 – Advice for the busy individual? 18:24 – How does Tiffany’s daughter feel about this? 21:07 – The most recent Shabbat 24:35 – Journaling 27:35 – Tech with children 29:14 – Wait until 8 30:18 – Teen suicide 32:50 – Unplugged walks 33:42 – Default mode network 39:49 – When does Tiffany journal? 41:05 – Eye contact 44:10 – 3 keys tips for implementation Thanks so much for listening! 01 Sep 2023 | Ep 351 - Hall Of Fame | Terry Spier: Liposuction To Athletic Confidence | 01:07:29
Terry felt ashamed when he found himself contemplating liposuction just so he could look and feel more confident at work.
He was ashamed of his body and ashamed that he was even considering surgery! Something deep inside him told him that it wasn’t the right thing to do. And he knew that he would not be able to face his kids if he went down that route.
What he needed was a holistic approach to wellness that would make him feel great and make his kids proud of their dad. With his mind made up, Terry signed up to RNT.
And now 21kgs down, he loves how great he feels everyday. The shame has been replaced with pride and Terry feels more confident than he has in decades!

Suicide is the single biggest killer of men under the age of 45 in the UK. That’s a seriously worrying statistic. On this episode, I speak to Neil Shah, founder of the International Wellbeing Insights and Chief De-Stressing Office of the Stress Management Society. He’s a leading international expert on stress management and wellbeing, and author of a few bestselling books on the topic. And on the podcast, we talk about the five core pillars of health, from mental, physical, social, emotional and spiritual, and why all five are critical. 03 Dec 2021 | Ep 242 - How We Eat And Train As Coaches | 00:57:18
This episode is a little different to the norm, where we discuss our own eating and training practices that we’ve cultivated to form our own lifestyle solution over the past decade. Finding what works for you takes a ton of trial and error, and for nutrition, as an example, it’s about finding what satiates you, tastes good, makes you feel good, is practical, and is effortless. 10 May 2021 | Ep. 204 - Can You Really Be Healthy At Any Size? | 00:50:16
Today we tackle a big question that has been growing in popularity of late: can you really be healthy at every size? After the wildly popular Cosmopolitan magazine ran a massive feature on how there is no ‘one size fits all’, and how every size can be healthy, we thought it’d be good to address why such advertising may be dangerous, what the realities of obesity are, and the future repercussions on it. This segues into a discussion on BMI, child obesity, nutrition for children, and all the science and application poured into it! Stay tuned for a big episode here! “Whatever size you are, try not to link your self-worth to it. “ Timestamps: [00:00] – Intro [02:50] – Thoughts on being overweight [07:17] – Anorexic vs Obese [11:05] – Why education is more empowering [13:09] – How transformation allows a lot of functions [16:00] – Metabolic health [19:55] – Acceptance as an issue [23:25] – Success or failure on weight loss [27:20] – Keeping the weight long term [29:50] – Child Obesity [32:40] – Parental roles on feeding their children [40:58] – How childhood dictates adulthood [43:00] – Using food as a reward [46:30] – Conclusion Thanks so much for listening! 19 Sep 2022 | Ep 290 - Four LIES You’re Telling Yourself Daily w/ Annie Yatch | 00:44:27
After building three successful businesses with her Navy SEAL former husband and business partner, Annie Yatch and her team now focus their coaching and training on trauma freedom, feedback systems and accountability processes that create the most sustainable fulfillment and success for entrepreneurs and their teams.
Her work moves companies, entrepreneurs, individuals, and teams to uncover the experience they want out of life and business, as well as the truth about why they haven’t been able to access that fulfilling experience yet.
As an entrepreneur for the last 12 years and a graduate of Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service and Georgetown’s Masters Program in International Security and Counterterrorism, Annie set out in the world to keep those she loved safe, but found a deeper passion and undeniable skill in helping entrepreneurs identify the subconscious lies that hold them back in all areas of life.
With hundreds of companies and hundreds of thousands of individuals irreversibly impacted by the processes and systems that she and Larry Yatch developed through SEAL Team Leaders, Annie is confident that every business owner has access to the solutions for every business problem as long as they’re willing to start telling the truth. Her job is simply to help you find it.
Annie lives in Park City, Utah where she and her two boys (5, 7) are on the ski slopes together every weekend—and when clients and program members start to release those 80+ hour weeks to access their own version of weekend ski trips, that’s her truest measure of success.
I met Annie personally during my travels in the US earlier this year, and I was blown away by her insight into the stories high performers and high achievers tell themselves on the journey of growth, accomplishment and progression.
From associations when we’re younger, to struggles we normalise in our day to day lives, this is one of those episodes that’s going to make you question your beliefs, rethink your behaviours, and take action on lifting your ceilings of potential.

05 Dec 2023 | Ep 366 - Part 2: 9 Things The Public Doesn’t ‘Get’ About Being Vegan (But Should) w/ Dr Minil Patel | 01:07:59
Welcome to part 2 of the episode series, 9 things the public doesn’t ‘get’ about being vegan (but should) with Dr Minil Patel.
It took me 3 years of umming and ahhing before I finally pulled the plug on meat/fish/dairy. Despite having helped 100s of vegans, I always thought I was a “unique case” where it wouldn’t work. I worried about the lifestyle, the convenience, the travel, the fitness gains. It was all in my head.
The last 22 months have proven I can feel, look and perform at my best with only plants. Only just a few days ago someone DM’d me something along the lines of: “Can you still lose weight, feel healthy and perform well without meat?” I directed her to a few RNT case studies and she couldn’t believe what she was reading (and seeing).
The past two years have taught me a lot. A few months ago I wrote a carousel titled “9 things the public doesn’t get about veganism (but should)“. It covered four pillars: health, fitness, environment and ethics. After thinking about the 9 things more and more, I wanted to do a podcast to dive deeper into each.
So I thought of no one better than Dr Minil Patel to join me on the podcast to discuss each. An NHS doctor since 2016 and Vegan since 2017, Minil is fast becoming an authority in the interesting intersection between health and ethics as it pertains to all things plant-based. He most recently presented at Europe’s largest conference on Plant Based Nutrition and has consistently spoken at the UK’s biggest Vegan festivals over the past 2 years. He’s also featured in the upcoming documentary “I Could Never Go Vegan” and I think you’ll agree, he’s in half decent shape as well.
This one is a big one so we’ve split it into two parts. This is part two. 2024 is around the corner, so if you’re thinking of trying Veganuary in January, hopefully this helps inform your decision. Book A Call To Start Your Journey!

I got a crazy transformation to share with you today. It’s about Manav, a busy cosmetic doctor and father-of-two who was completely burnt out at the end of 2023. After being too exhausted to play with his kids, Manav knew something had to change (he tells me in this podcast he was literally laying on the sofa!). He didn’t want to miss out on watching them grow up simply because he wasn’t fit enough to keep up. But getting in shape wasn’t as easy as he thought. ..Manav had tried various weight loss solutions in the past, but nothing ever stuck. He wanted to be in better shape—for good this time. That’s when he came across RNT. After reading our book, ‘Transform Your Body, Transform Your Life,’ Manav decided to give it his all. The rest is history. He’s down 26kg whilst balancing a crazy work schedule, family life, and frequent travel. The structure and routine he followed through the RNT process made his entire life simpler and more efficient. Manav pushed himself to places he never thought possible. Today, he’s rocking a six-pack, feels more productive than ever, and has newfound confidence in every area of his life. But most importantly… Manav now has the time and energy to spend with his family. He’s no longer missing out on precious moments with his kids, and he’s looking forward to seeing just how far he can go on his fitness journey. 26 Dec 2023 | Ep 369 - Top 19 Lessons I Learned In 2023 | 00:33:28
I’m recording this a few days after my daughter turned eight months old.
I can’t quite believe it’s gone so fast. It’s strange; at the beginning it felt like time went super slow, but as each month has gone by, it’s sped up rapidly. I think part of it is because milestones are coming thick and fast, and her interaction with us continues to grow.
This is the seventh time I’m recording one of my “Top Lessons” podcsats. I always flick through the previous installments to get a feel for where I was, where I’ve been and if I’ve learnt from the past.
Oftentimes I see lessons from 7 years ago that feel timeless, and will never get old. Sometimes I look and cringe at what was going on in my life, and the clear influence it had on my thoughts.
I’ve yet to get to the end of a year, since as long as I can remember, and think life isn’t better than it was a year before. At least on my own scorecard.
The chapter of 2023 was “The Disciplined Dad”, so let’s dive into see what I’ve figured out along the way…

27 Dec 2021 | Ep 247 - Working Busy Mum Sanj In The Spotlight + Top Tips For 2022 | 01:05:18
What a journey it's been for Sanj. Her email, nearly 3 years to the day in 2018, was titled with one word: "help". I still remember opening it. In a really dark place feeling like there was no way out, the one thing she desired more than anything was control. When everything around you may be falling apart, there's only a few things you can still control: your body being one of them.
The first and hardest step was the email to us. The rest is history. What's remarkable is her journey has come full circle. From asking us for help, to now helping us as part of the team help so many RNTers around the world change their lives through this journey. Sanj is a new woman now in every way: she's regained control, is focused on herself, and her confidence has led to making seriously life-changing decisions along the way.
We're so proud of Sanj, so today we brought her on to discuss how her journey has unravelled, how she’s built the ultimate lifestyle solution, and how despite being a single mother working crazy hours, she always finds a way.
We also segue into some top tips for 2022, why you should or shouldn’t do a shoot and why in some cases you should try other things besides weight training. This is the final episode of 2021, so I want to say a massive thank you for all the support this year. As always, an incredible journey and I’m super grateful for everyone in our community on a collective strive to learn, grow and transform!
Have a fantastic New Years and I’ll catch you on the other side!
Timestamps:
00:47 - From zero concept to a lifestyle solution - Sanj talked about how she managed everything 03:36 - What Sanj did tangibly to avoid bouncing back 07:37 - How Sanj handles the comments and questions she gets about her diet 11:56 - Early morning training - simplified things for Sanj 19:56 - "This is just the way I live". 21:10 - What's next for Sanj 31:03 - You have to know what you can realistically commit to. 33:50 - People don't know what they need, what can change their life. 41:35 - Controlling your physical is an important part, you can't cheat it. 49:22 - The fear of not knowing 59:32 - Goals for 2022

This episode is a bit different to the norm, in that I’m thrown into the interview seat by fellow team members Ed & Ivan, to discuss questions such as: what is my biggest regret, how do I deal with external criticism, how did I know this path was for me, what do I still want to achieve physically, and how I balance building a business with my relationships. 27 Feb 2019 | Ep. 65 - Hall of Fame | Nimalan Chandran - How Nimalan Achieved More In 16 Weeks Than In 10 Years | 01:02:35
Welcome back to another episode of RNT Fitness Radio. Today I’m joined by one of our RNT clients, Nimalan, who’s been working with us for the past year and gone through what I like to call the ideal physique journey so far. After a dieting phase where he, in his own words, made more progress in 16 weeks than in 10 years, he’s shifted gears to a lengthy muscle building where it’s now all about PRs on the bar, and PRs on the plate. Having never been lean in the past, we talk about struggles of embracing the fluff, and why for the right person, it can be such an important phase to go through to end up with the physique you’re really after. Through all of this, he travels almost every single week for work all over the country, and he spends time talking about the critical mindset to adopt if you want to make progress in your health and fitness when living out of a suitcase. Nimalan’s getting married this month, and his soon to be wife Sonayna is also on her own RNT journey, and we talk about strength training and muscle building for women, which will definitely interest many of our female listeners today. We then finish off by talking about Nimalan’s biggest passion in life – the methodology of lean, a business strategy first formulated by Toyota, and a strategy he’s coined as the best way to run your business. Hope you enjoy this one! “I achieved more in 16 weeks than I did in 10 years” Timestamps: 1:20 – How Nimalan’s training is going so far 4:39 – The traffic light system 7:27 – Who is Nimalan Chandran? 10:08 – What Nimalan learnt from RNT 17:04– Nimalan’s struggle pre RNT 20:40– How Nimalan got results while travelling 30:01 – Training with his wife Sonayna 33:17 – Nimalan’s mindset during muscle building 35:13- Embracing the fluff 44:00 – Muscle building for women 47:59 – Nimalan’s true passion 50:15 – The lean principles 58:02 – What does the future hold for Nimalan? 59:21 – Rapid fire questions Thanks so much for listening!
