Season 5 EP. 3: Chunky Salsa
00:23:38
This week - our heroes continue their assault on the Harpy monks guarding the black spire. These flying fiends are all that keeps the Warriors of Light from ensuring that the present dangers within Jorgenfist are eliminated once and for all. Harper is a turncoat. Null fires its phasers. Reetin pasteurizes his opponents. Marianna is positively glowing.

All sorts of strange wonders lie dormant beneath the black tower of Jorgenfist - including a frozen black mummy clinging to a scroll case, whispering about a green light. The pleasantries don't last for long, as the creature begins it's assault on our heroes. If they want to make it out with their lives, they will need to act fast and strike hard. This week: Harper loses her sight. Again. Anyways, so Null starts blasting. Reetin desires tasty, tasty Harper meat. Tev is almost a traitor.

THIS WEEK: We return back to our heroes as they explore the long abandoned Vekker mining cabin. As if the previous weeks experiences werent evidence of something supernatural going on, the house throws all it has at The Warriors of Light when armies of starving ghosts are joined by the constant sound of hammering, knocking and creaking wood. Relative Safeties will be challenged this week - tune in now! Aristotle thinks it's only this, and nothing more. Hugo tries to find safety. Reetin is a Lumberjack. Vrasken doesn't need to see things to kill them.

The warriors of light are out of the frying pan and into the fire in this weeks installment of Rise of the Runelords. After defeating a fearsome fire dragon longtooth our heroes discuss and decide where they would like to strike next. After one danger is rejected, will the next be any less of a threat? Reetin finds something shimmering on the path, and decides promptly that it is not his job to investigate that sort of ocurrence. Null's doesn't fix squishy things. Reetin Barbarians. Seres doesn't like spiders. Aidan also doesn't like spiders.

The party slays some eldritch creatures called Sin Spawn which were inhabiting the catacombs found under the smuggling tunnels from the Sandpoint Glassworks. Before moving on to the Thistletop threat, the party needs to cull the evil still present within Sandpoint itself. Brother Davros is burnt out. Reetin finds his preferred target. Ullr takes a nap. Vrasken is the personanizer.

THIS WEEK: The Warriors of Light take a well deserved rest in Aristotle's magical mansion. After some reflection on the growth undergone by some partymembers the players continue their quest to destabilize the lower levels of Xin-Shalast. Their new Skulk allies share with the players their next target of treachery - a large domed building that looks to house feral, furry yeti within. Will the savage dangers within prove to be too much for our heroes to handle? Tune in to find out now! Aristotle has a different kind of munchies. Hugo knows a fire elemental when he sees one. Reetin questions whether they are the good guys. Vrasken's jaw drops.

THIS WEEK: Our heroes have leveled up once more! Newly empowered, they gather their mettle and procced back into the Mazes of Sloth once more. There are bodies to loot and pipes to explore. Plus, an aquaintance yet to be seen as hostile offers some insight to this wing of Runeforge. Hidden deep within the maze we find journals and notes detailing the equipment our heroes will need should they strive to succeed against the returning Runelords. Aristotle makes a friend. Hugo foreshadows danger. Reetin looks in the mirror. Vrasken pockets a book.

They party has accepted Myriana's quest, and as a forward payment she has resurrected Reetin... into the body of a ferocious Bugbear. Oh my... Before the warriors of light can proceed further they will need to solve some remaining diplomatic concerns and resolve some burdening party hindrances - both of which will require travel to Magnimar. The party struggles to remember which God has which services available.

The troubles just don't stop for the Warriors of Light - but if anyone is going to be able to save Golarion, it's this crew. Will another of our heroes fall, or will they perservere against the evils in the darkness? Tune in now! Enrom smites. Harper has the taste for blood. Hugo throws his dagger. Will the players manage to find and save the missing Ameiko before danger befalls her? Brother Davros channels his deity. Ullr shows them how it's done. Reetin misses his swings. Vrasken perks up.
After failing to gather additional information from a captive giant, the team buries their dead and say their final goodbyes to the late hero. The surviving members level up and investigate the giant raid and what their goals were. Following some study, the gang gears up and gets ready to head out hot on the trail of their giant quarry.

This week: What may very well be the most difficult encounter our heroes have faced to date continues! Two new adversaries challenge the warriors of light, and it is only fitting that these new foes be beings literally made of light. As Delvahene hides and schemes our heroes will need to do everything in their power to prevent from being reduced to ash. Will they be able to stand the blows, or have our heroes finally met their match? Reetin reads the rules. Enrom explodes. Sibohan is all tied up. Hugo can't resolve a spell.

Welcome everybody to the season finale of Clinton's Core Classics Season 2. In this weeks episode, Ullr takes some blows, Reetin drops his scythe, Harper inspires courage, Gintaras heals almost all of her hit points, and Seres can't help but roll 1's. Can the heroes beat this foe at the top of the Shadow Clock? Will someone have to roll a new character? Did Xanesha ever get that letter Ullr sent her? Atop a narrow mountain path along the way to Jorgenfist, the Warriors of Light come across scouts on patrol. The threat of being knocked off the mountainside is present, and the giant forces of Mokmurian are hardly tolerant of intruders in their lands. Will our heroes make it by unscathed, or will these foes teach them firsthand what happens to the little folk in giant land? Null finishes downloading updates. Mistress Harper dishes out the healing. THIS WEEK: A lady wearing traditional female fantasy armor and a large, flaming Ranseur threatens our heroes. A Bull-headed turtle monster with giant pincers, legs of a dog and reptilian feet stands beside her. If they hope to stand successful in their fight... they are going to need to do a lot better than they do this week. For Fury and Hellfire; Roll for initiative! Aristotle is a little out of it. This week: After the gang goes through their morning prayer rituals, they are given the opportunity to violate that sanctity and enter into the next corridor of the Runeforge. The creatures found within make the group anxious as they strive to ensure the place maintains its lustful namesake. Blows will be delivered, minds will be dominated, and players will feel uncomfortable as they begin their adventure within the Iron Cages of Lust. Enrom levels up. EDITORS NOTE: Our audio capture device ran out of space in the middle of this recording and we lost a portion of Clinton's audio track. You'd think the device would alert of such issue but hey what can you do? About 3/4'ths of the way through you'll notice Clinton gets a lot less specific when speaking. We were able to make out what was being said by listening to what others were saying and redub most of the lines, but we lost things like specific numbers. The issue has since been resolved and shouldn't be an issue again. We apologize for the inconvenience!
THIS WEEK: After a short discussion on our team's relative attractiveness, the Warriors of Light find a potential new ally; however, their services do not come for free. Tasked with a new mission, the Warriors of Light will traverse ancient underground tunnels in an effort to save their new friends from an unseen horror. With the giant armies of the Runelord of Greed now known to our heroes, it will take every ally they can get to succeed. Will this hidden beast prove too much for our heroes to handle, or will yet another faction owe their safety to the actions of The Warriors of Light? Tune in to find out now! Aristotle is easily startled. Hugo ain't no fortunate son. Reetin gets high. Vrasken is beautiful on the inside.

THIS WEEK: From the plane of negative energy comes crawling a fiendish beast with rage in its eyes at the presence of our heroes. With the devices powering the Infusion Chamber shattered, this wing of Runeforge has lost it's connection to the shadowy realm it siphoned power from. This shadowy guardian will fight to the death to defeat the Warriors of Light where they stand. Spells will be cast, blades will be swung and the rest will fight tooth-and-nail until the bitter end. Aristotle feels likes somethings in his bones. Hugo makes some new friends. Reetin has done everything he can. Vrasken is a dragon. Just as soon as they open the doors do things start heating up. Friendships and armor durabilities will be tested in this weeks episode! Enrom knocks them down. Gintaras dictates the flow of battle. Ullr and Reetin deftly escape entrapment before an all-out brawl ensues. Reetin disarms his foes, Harper inspires courage, Ullr climbs the cage and Seres may very well have never been here to begin with.

THIS WEEK: The gang knows where they need to go, they just aren't quite certain how to go about getting there. Luckily, our heroes have made some friends along the way who might be able to assist them further. Hopefully they will think ahead and properly plan for their journey... it can be dangerous out in the varisian wilderness. Aristotle reads a letter. Hugo hears a howl. Reetin skips the dialogue. Vrasken turns into a dragon.

The Warriors of Light vs The Warriors of Wrath - ROUND 2! Our heroes have just one more room in the Halls of Wrath to go. This time, another collection of foul sinspawn-associated casters stands between our heroes and the next wing of Runeforge. Will our heroes be able to clear the threat, or will they find themselves overwhelmed by infantry? Tune in and find out! Aristotle is stoned. Hugo can't fail. Reetin climbs on the table. Vrasken is pissed off.

THIS WEEK: Emerging from the overgrowth of The Tangle victorious, our heroes are ready to take a well-earned rest. After emptying bags of holding filled with loot at their hidden lair, they continue back on their quest to interrupt the operations of the minions of Karzoug. The next site of interest is a massive colliseum-looking structure with a seven-pointed motif. As our heroes investigate further, Chitinous creeps and arachnid-adjacent abberations defend their territory from the Warriors of Light. Will these beasts fight off the invaders, or will our heroes once again squash the minions of their foe? Tune in to find out now! Aristotle has a disease. Hugo gets a tramp stamp. THIS WEEK: Goblins appear in the town of Sandpoint and seek to set fire to all they come across. And right in the middle of the Swallowtail festival no less! Will our heroes allow such evil to stand? Welcome back ladies and gentlemen to another installment of Rise of the Runelords. In this episode, the Cleric continues his Bad-Cop interrogation of Tsuto, and gathers some information. The brains behind the recent goblin raid was in fact Nualia Tobyn, a lady whom until recently was thought to be dead. Not only does the party learn of a planned second raid, but we also learn that she has reinforcements including goblin tribes, mercenaries and fiendish demons. If the players are to secure the safety of Sandpoint, they will have to go to the Thisletop Ruins to deal with her forces. Before that, however, the party needs to make sure that the smuggling tunnels beneath the Glassworks are free of Goblin threat - or whatever may be lurking in the dark... Brother Davros blesses the party. Hugo leads the charge. Reetin misses his target. Vrasken is the hulking black masshole.

The air is thick with a foul odor and brackish taste - but it'll take more than some stank to dissuade the Warriors of Light. With Hugo continuing to be feared from Vrasken's powerful magics, it'll take coordination and cooperation from the rest of the team to wrangle their ally, and take care of anything he might encounter as he flee's. Aristotle follows along. Hugo is scared. Reetin brings death to those who wronged him. Vrasken is scary. Clinton's been doing this thing lately where he doesn't wear headphones while recording and it makes me, the editor, want to cry.

Our heroes, having just saved captured slaves from underneath Jorgenfist, move forward with weapons drawn to bring to justice those responsible for the siege on Sandpoint. Between narrow hallways and tight corridors our heroes find themselves at the doorstep of yet another combat. The late Harper Windwalker aids a new foe in his assault against the Warriors of Light. Between the arcane trickery of the Roguish Bard and the evil Necromantic spells cast by Azaven, how will our adventurers ever hope to survive? Hugo is nice and cozy in the back. Kerg chainwhips the threats. Reetin channels his good friend Ullr. Sibohan consistently rolls one below the DC.

THIS WEEK: The Warriors of Light continue to play King of the Hill with the rubble pile located within the center of a gaint-sized domed building. As more and more yeti come to defend their home, our heroes will need to utilize unorthodox solutions to leave the fight alive. Will the gang emerge victorious, or will their bodies be added to the pile of rubble? Tune in to find out now! Aristotle charges his power level. Hugo spreads the sickness. Reetin has one fear. Will they be able to gather their senses in time to best this feral foe, or will our heroes see to feed these otherworldly forces? Tune in to find out now! Aristotle is being cautious. THIS WEEK: A minutes worth of combat has passed, and though the hordes have been felled the army of Yellow Musked Zombies and the Root of the Tangle continue to defend their home from the foreign invaders. Summoned Daemons, explosive evocations and the black dragon they rode in on prove to be more than a challenge for the collection of fungus-infested fiends. Now that the large monstrosity has entered the fight, the tides of battle may just be changed. Will our heroes be able to prove victorious, or will they add to the ever growing numbers under the control of the Root of the Tangle? Aristotle overcharges the disintegrate. Hugo has a hunch. In this short-form episode of Rise of the Runelords, the players behind the heroes take a step back to discuss recent party tactics, recent events and encounters, and that recent level up the survivng members of the party had. Then we take another step back and see how we are doing as a whole. We recorded this before we started our play session. As such, this is a little less formal than our typical format. We don't really have an 'extra episode' incentive or anything like that, so kick back and enjoy the episode.

Some information about the surrounding area and recent events are gathered, some dangers are foreshadowed, and some familiar faces are encountered along the way.

After a quick visit from Maelin Shreed, the mayor of Turtleback Ferry, the heroes go about their journey to investigate the Black Arrows. But the path north is filled with peril - will our heroes be able to make it through in one piece, or will they fall to the horrors of the Kreegwood? THIS WEEK: The Warriors of Light have defeated the Kuchrima guardians of Xin-Shalast and started their infiltration to the fabled city of gold. While exploring, we discover a giant camp the likes of which have never before been seen by our heroes. After disguising and infiltrating the camp we learn of a Giant looking to lead an insurrection against the vindictive overlords dominating the tribes. Will our heroes be able to make new friends amongst hated enemies, or will conflict come to our heroes once more? Tune in to find out now! Aristotle labels his wands. Hugo offers his allies services. Reetin doesn't want to fight 500 foes. Vrasken declares a challenge.

THIS WEEK: The Warriors of Light return to fight a group of Abominable inhabitants. Hungry shadows and scorching rays work at these foes while the rest fight with steel, tooth and nail against these frigid assailants. With the spoils of war going to the victors, our heroes will question their next actions, and how to best spend their limited time in the frozen crown of Varisian mountains. Will our heroes be able to satiate their bloodlust before they find their next target? Just sit tight because you haven't heard nothing yeti! Tune in to find out now! Aristotle makes playthings of friend and foe alike. Hugo likes friends. Reetin suggests Therapy. Vrasken waits around.

After defeating the troll twins, the remainder of this areas threats seem interested in halting our heroes' siege. The eerie symbol of a three-eyed Jackal overlooks the warriors of light as they defeat foes they've faced before - Lamia monsters. Harper doesn't take kindly to Negative Energy. Null wants to cast a spell. Reetin misses Seres. Tev scars herself.

THIS WEEK: The Warriors of Light continue to explore the ruined city of Xin-Shalast. Keeping a safe distance from some of the more dangerous (and undeveloped) parts of the city bring us to a ruined building that once looks to have housed the tax collectors of the ancient city of Greed. Our heroes will have much worse horrors to fear than revenue collection services however as they trespass through ancient walls. The scraping of large nails across stone and large, leathery wings flapping alert our heroes to the imminent danger. Stock up on healing potions boys: we gon fite a draggin'. Aristotle breathes acid like a dragon. Reetin casts spells like a sorcerer. Vrasken rages like a barbarian. Hugo shares his turn.

The party meets with Shalelu Andosana, a local ranger, who alerts the players to what she knows about the local Goblin tribes. Reetin and Ullr fall head over heels for the attractive half-elf. Vrasken keeps a personal diary. The plot thickens regarding the raid on the city.
THIS WEEK: With Azaven finally slain, the gang takes a minute to lick their wounds and honor their fallen. Which is to say they immediately start looting the bodies. Though the boss may have been defeated, the crypts of gluttony still holds a threat that needs to be defeated. The portal between the pylons in the infusion room needs to be brought down. Finding out how will be a challenge. Aristotle stands back. Hugo thinks it looks safe enough. Reetin is the universal solvent. Vrasken shows his knowledge of planes. Clinton forgets to wear headphones again much to the frustration of the editor.

The tides of battle begin to turn as our heroes systematically route their foes. When our heroes appear to begin winning their battle, a new ally appear from the shadows to provide assistance. After the chaos of battle subsides, this new friend informs the party as to their perspective of recent events within the Black Tower. Harper gets a head start on the healing. The Warriors of Light are eager to put an end to the dangers threatening the Hook Mountain, and that means eliminating the threats that lie within. Our heroes learn of the Runelord of Greed, Karzoug and his plans to survive a world-ending cataclysm. Hello ladies and gentlemen and welcome back to Rise of the Runelords. In this installment, the team continues to defend themselves against the Skinsaw Men who were hiding in the Seven's Sawmill. Will our heroes manage to save the town of Magnimar from the fiendish brotherhood? Will Ullr be able to make any new friends before they are slaughtered before him? And just how many ones can the table collectively roll in a single session? Tune in to find out!

This week: A divine premonition returns an old friend to the rest of our heroes, and just in the knick of time. Their arrival is directly followed by an attack by the ancient, huge white dragon of the Rimeskull mountain. The beast charges at Warriors of Light with impressive speed, leaving little time to prepare for the encounter. Enrom glows with an awesome light. Gintaras catches her own hands. Harper has such a pretty song. Null pulls aggro. Reetin doesn't hit.

THIS WEEK: The Warriors of Light backtrack to the next wing of the Pinnacle of Avarice. The Eastern chambers of the tower contain many small cells that reek of Giant. But what other dangers may lurk in the darkness between our heroes and the king of the castle? What lies in store for our heroes as they delve deeper still? Tune in now to find out! Aristotle takes a stab at it. Hugo thinks walking is for chumps. Reetin can't see anything. Vrasken puts in the effort.

Welcome back to another episode of Clinton's Core Classics! This episode joins the Warriors of Light as they continue investigating the leads of the recent murders in the town of Sandpoint. Rustlings from the farmlands reveal to the players creatures which border the very line between life and death itself. Typical adventurer shenanigans ensues.

THIS WEEK: The summoned servants of our latest foe are starting to get out of hand - the crowded corridors of the Festering Maze of Sloth can barely contain the monsters of sin and the warriors of light at once. With one of our heroes out of the fight, it's easier than ever to pick off the intruders one-by-one. Things are looking about as bad as they smell - will our heroes be able to come out of this victorious? Aristotle is dazed. Hugo is still scared. Reetin is petrified. Vrasken roars. Clinton cheats.
