Pairing up Batman and Superman seems like such an obvious move given how fundamentally different these two heroes are. They both strive for justice, but both have different methods of achieving it. It took a long time for them to meet in the pages of DC comics, and even longer before they met on screen. The Batman/Superman Movie set in the Bruce Timm/Paul Dini animated universe was a momentous occasion for fans of their respective shows. Joining us to talk about heroic and villainous team-ups, exploding marbles and fights with robots is Megan Coleman from MASH Minute!

This is a big one, citizens. We're always nervous to tackle some of the classic films on our list. But as we've learned; "Do or do not, there is no try".

Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back picks up three years after Luke destroyed the Death Star. Leia, Han, Chewie and C3PO are on the run from Darth Vader and his minions while Luke and R2 seek out an ancient Jedi master to complete his training.

Empire is considered by some to be the best of the entire Saga. Give this a listen to see where we landed on it.

In this episode we’re revisiting Howard the Duck and trying to determine if nostalgia is really a good thing. Courtney returns to help us figure this one out. She previously joined us for Terminator which is also a movie about someone being transported from another time and place to Earth. A sarcastic humanoid duck is pulled from his homeworld to Earth where he must stop a hellish alien invasion with the help of a nerdy scientist and a cute struggling female rock singer who fancies him.

"Reel Comic Heroes, whaddya want!?" We're back to take a look at the first trailer released for the new remake/reboot for Ghostbusters. We recorded this just a few days after the first trailer was released. Since then, there has been a fan-edited version which has gotten a lot of praise online for making more sense. And the Ghostbusters production has also released an International trailer which has also been called better. It seems the consensus online has been lukewarm as to this first trailer. Mostly people are saying the movie itself doesn't look bad, but that they released a bad trailer.

Give this a listen as Patrick, Travis and our guest, Amanda share our thoughts on the trailer for Paul Feig's new version of Ghostbusters.

Flash! You know the rest. On this episode we took a look at the cult classic Flash Gordon from 1980. Neither of us had much previous experience with this movie and we both had different opinions at the end.

Flash Gordon is a pretty straight-forward sci-fi tale of an Earthman sent into outer space where he encounters Ming the Merciless. He is tasked with overthrowing the maniacal ruler of Mingo City and preventing the destruction of Earth.

This movie is like no other movie we’ve talked about on our list. We had a pretty good time talking about it, and we hope you enjoy the episode. Where does Flash Gordon rate for you? We’d love to know if it’s considered to be classic camp fun, or better left forgotten.

The Shadow

This movie is not Hudson Hawk despite what some people may think. That said, The Shadow is an odd film in many ways, but has a lot of charm. The character of Lamont Cranston (aka The Shadow) precedes every character we’ve talked about so far in our list and possibly every character we will talk about in future movies on this podcast. Steve Rogers is a hero in every sense of the word. He fights for the little guys, because he was the little guy. Steve Rogers grew up with an inherent sense of justice and bravery. We came out of it thoroughly entertained and hopeful of Bond's future. With TSWLM, it feels as if Roger Moore has become comfortable in the role and has made it his own.

James Bond has returned! The Man With the Golden Gun felt like an old familiar suit. It felt like Roger Moore has managed to incorporate elements of Connery's performance while making the character his own. This movie, while having a lot of light-hearted moments, still found the brutality of the Bond character.

Christopher Lee as the villain Scaramanga, along with his sidekick, Nick Nack, are a welcome duo against 007. We look forward to seeing more from Roger Moore as James Bond.
