12 Sep 2023Welcome To Queer Love Stories! (Start Here)00:01:28

Welcome to the brand new Queer Love Stories! A podcast where we dive into the real stories of love, relationships, and empowerment within the LGBTQ+.

Picture this: TV, film, and media consistently portraying queer romance in shades of either promiscuity, pain, or shame.

Growing up gay in the nineties, under the shadow of Section 28, I never thought love was in my future. The lack of role models or positive stories led me to suppress my sexuality until my late twenties.

But today, we're rewriting that narrative. Welcome to "Queer Love Stories," a podcast born out of the need for authentic representation and positive inspiration. I'm your host, Eden, and I'm here to create a platform where members of the LGBTQ+ community can share their stories of love, empowerment, and meaningful connections.

"Queer Love Stories" is more than just a podcast – it's a celebration of love in all its forms. We're breaking free from the confines of outdated stereotypes and shining a light on the positivity that surrounds us.

So, what can you expect? Well, buckle up for an exhilarating ride through tales of navigating sexuality, gender identity and relationships. We'll discuss romantic connections that make your heart skip a beat, the unbreakable bonds of friendship, the warmth of a supportive community, and of course, the essential journey of self-love.

We're flipping the script on queer representation, challenging the norm, and amplifying the voices that deserve to be heard. So hit the follow button, and let's celebrate the love that defines us.

History was made in Autumn 2023 when former cosmetic consultant, Ella Morgan, became the first Transgender Bride to take part in the hit reality show Married at First Sight UK.

Ella quickly became one of the show's most iconic contestants, and one of my personal favourites, for her vulnerability, honesty and all round-bad-bitch energy.

13 Jun 2024Kaue & Ryan: Creating LGBTQ+ allies through sport, buying Keighley Cougars Rugby Club and battling transphobia01:26:38

GIVE YOUR FEEDBACK IN OUR LISTENER SURVEY ⚡️

In January 2019, Keighley Cougars Rugby club was saved from the brink of extinction by Ryan O’Neill and his husband Kaue Garcia.

The married couple became the first, and still to this date, only openly LGBTQ+ owners of a professional sports club outside of the United States of America.

Since taking over the club they've used their platform to champion LGBTQ+ rights, create a more inclusive sporting environment and have raised nearly six figures for LGBTQ+ charities, and will continue to do so as they look to make Keighley a united town, and Rugby League a united sport.
