We've got a special episode of Pull Up for y'all. Myles traveled to Vegas for WNBA All-Star and, with the help of STARRY, interviewed four W stars: Jackie Young, Jewell Loyd, Napheesa Collier, and Allie Quigley. Around those chats, Owen and Myles broke down the highlights of the weekend, which was an absolute success for the league.

For part three of our All-Star coverage interview series -- shoutout again to STARRY -- Jackie Young of the Las Vegas Aces took the time to sit with Myles and discuss her upcoming 5x5 Olympics debut, her basketball origins, and the appeal of Unrivaled. 

Pepper Persley, 12-year old journalist and author of the newly released NOT TOO ANYTHING joins Myles and guest co-host Ace Pedraza to share her experiences writing a book, being the youngest voice in a room for of athletes and media members, and much more.

Sydney Colson and Theresa Plaisance -- the faces of the league! -- join Owen and Myles to talk WNBA and Athletes Unlimited hoops, comedy, and the origins of their terrific friendship. Owen finally gets to give Syd her flowers for her game-altering performance in game four of the 2023 Finals (+17!). Plus, which W players would they pick if they were building out five-person team to compete in Family Feud?

In this week's episode, women's sports writer Lyndsey D'Arcangelo -- who you probably recognize from bylines anywhere -- joins Myles and Owen to share her thoughts on storytelling, on battling to get the W exposure at more publications, and some of her favorite anecdotes. Jenny Nguyen, the founder of The Sports Bra -- the country's first sports bar that shows only women's sports -- pulls up with Owen and Myles to share her journey, which started as a dream for her and became realized as a dream for women's sports fans everywhere. Jenny discusses her influences and intentions in growing the space, and also makes the guys misty-eyed with some wonderful anecdotes. Kate Fagan, author of HOOP MUSES and writer/podcaster with Meadowlark Media, pulled up with Myles and Owen to talk about her new book, which catalogues the history of women's basketball in a series of insightful essays. Curated by Seimone Augustus and illustrated by Sophia Chang, HOOP MUSES is available everywhere today, 3/7/23. Kate also discussed her podcast OFF THE LOOKING GLASS, answered some rapid fires, and dropped a ton of knowledge.

Myles and Owen talk to Kayla Thornton, one of the newest members of the New York Liberty after the team's exciting offseason. We talk to Kayla about her approach and love for the game, her overseas experience, and her excitement for the WNBA season to come.

Following an exciting weekend in Phoenix for WNBA All-Star, Myles is back to brief Owen on all he missed, including a series of interviews coordinated by STARRY, the WNBA's official soft drink and Owen's favorite mixer. First up, Napheesa Collier joins us to talk about her exciting new venture -- Unrivaled, a 3x3 league starting this winter -- and the upcoming Olympics. 

Owen and Myles are back from their break for the WNBA playoffs, and they're joined by Ros Gold-Onwude, who spent the 2024 season as an analyst for the champion New York Liberty. Ros shares her takeaways from the team, her journey into basketball and media, and the special project she undertook with her sister Annie during their summer together in New York.

The guys are joined by Emily Engstler, fresh off her being named the defensive player of the year for season three of Athletes Unlimited. Emily opens up about her New York City roots, the challenges she's faced her first few years as a pro, and what it takes to be a versatile defender in the WNBA.

Gabe Stark, the creator of Rare Breed BX, joins Myles and Owen to talk about his creative enterprise, a New York-based luxury sportswear brand that specializes in premier, fully-stitched custom jerseys. His client list is impressive, but perhaps none more than Ellie the Elephant, the mascot that has taken the W by storm.

New York Liberty rookie Nyara Sabally pulls up with Myles and Owen for their first ever in-person podcast recording. They talk about her transition to the pros, some of what she's absorbed from her superstar teammates, and so much more.

Jordan Robinson (technically the first repeat guest!) joins Owen and Myles because it's WNBA playoffs time. She discusses her podcast, Queens of the Court, which she co-hosts with the awesome Sheryl Swoopes; the recent conversation around WNBA awards; and what we can take away from the first games of the semifinals. In this special episode, we give our loyal Pull Up listeners a glimpse into the content we've been providing on Step Back. After Liberty fans were taken aback by Kayla Thornton's shocking answer to the classic New York or Chicago pizza debate -- she said "Papa John's" -- we had to discuss. With answers from Breanna Stewart, Kennedy Burke, and KT herself, Owen and Myles break down what's being done in the Liberty locker room to address this grievance which, if left unchecked, could take a slice out of the team's chemistry.

Welcome back for season two of Pull Up with Myles and Owen! In this episode, we start our series with Athletes Unlimited, and first up is All-Star guard Kelsey Mitchell of the Indiana Fever. We discuss her time in AU, some of her experiences in the WNBA, and what makes her a bucket.

For episode 30 -- a special edition partnered with La Crema, the WNBA's official wine -- Terrika Foster-Brasby rejoined Myles and Owen to talk about everything going on ahead of the WNBA season: Candace Parker's surprise retirement, the teams that could make a splash in 2024, and the ever-growing chip on the shoulders of her Connecticut Sun. 

Owen and Myles are joined by the Los Angeles Sparks' Lexie Brown, who is currently playing in her second season of Athletes Unlimited Hoops. With March Madness around the corner, they also get into Lexie's experience as a studio analyst with the ACC Network, peppering her for picks and predictions.

In this episode, Myles and Owen talk to Alison Klayman, the director and producer of UNFINISHED BUSINESS, a film about the WNBA's New York Liberty that bridges the teams at the league's inception in 1997 with the 25th anniversary squad in 2021. UNFINISHED BUSINESS will be available to stream on May 13, 2023.

Zena Keita -- who covers the WNBA and NBA for The Athletic and the Warriors for NBC Sports -- joins Owen and Myles for episode 48. Zena showcases the incredibly healthy way she engages with playing/covering/watching sports, explores her career trajectory, and shares thoughts on the Golden State Valkyries' expansion draft.

Megan Perry, the Director of Basketball for Athletes Unlimited, pulls up with Myles and Owen to talk about her new role and previews the league's third campaign this coming winter.

In this episodes, Owen and Myles bring back B. Terrell for his second appearance on the pod to celebrate the undefeated South Carolina Gamecocks after they completed a perfect 38-0 season. Angel McCoughtry, WNBA legend and AU Hoops newcomer, pulls up with the guys to talk about her first week of play at Athletes Unlimited, and she shares her perspective on the growth of women's basketball throughout her time as a professional.

Nneka Ogwumike of the Seattle Storm chats with Myles at WNBA All-Star (thanks again to STARRY!), and Calvin Wetzel steps in for Owen to join the discussion back home. Nneka shares her perspective on the increased eyes and how that has been reflected within media, she offers her thoughts on the progress the league has made, and highlights the work still to come.

Media superwoman Lauren "Bigggg Lo" Dreher pulls up with Owen and Myles ahead of the WNBA All-Star break for a midseason check-in. Along with trending topics, she also talks about her journey into becoming a voice trusted by fans and players alike.

The first half of a special two-parter: Owen moderates a conversation between Myles -- a WNBA awards voter for the first time -- and writer Mark Schindler, who also holds a vote. This episode features the six starting forward spots, along with the rationales behind why each selection was made. Episode 10b will discuss their backcourt nominations.

Owen and Myles welcome the Connecticut Sun's Ty Harris to the pod. They get into her experience with the Sun -- including how she found out about the trade overseas -- and talk about her time at South Carolina (with a very special cameo from Ty Harris superfan, Muffin). 

We return to our AU series with our first double-guest interview: sisters Isabelle and Dorie Harrison, who will play alongside (or against) one another for the first time at Athletes Unlimited. We chat about growing up in a big family, how they're both making returns to the court, and the upcoming AU Hoops season.

For the second part of our 2024 WNBA season primer, we bring on Steve Jones Jr., the other half of The Dunker Spot podcast. Here, we break down the eastern conference, with a little bit of reflection and analysis following some teams returning to action on opening night.

DiDi Richards joins Myles and Owen, just days after arriving to Sydney, Australia, where she's getting ready to suit up for the Flames. She opens up about how she spent this season off the court, her time with the Liberty, and her experiences on the media side. 

Rae Burrell of the Los Angeles Sparks joins Owen and Myles just weeks before participating in the inaugural season of Unrivaled. Rae shares her excitement for the upcoming league and credits her upbringing -- both in playing multiple sports and instilling discipline -- for helping her compete at the highest levels of women's basketball.
