Welcome to this SUPER SIZED edition of Pop Culture Leftovers! Episode 363 is so long it made Chris Evans blush. Guard That Podcast. Ok. Ok. Enough with the terrible jokes. At least enough with the terrible jokes in this paragraph. I’m sure there are plenty more buried in this episode. Anyway, we are joined by Dan Ramirez and Steve Hudson from The Heroes of Noise Podcast this week and we just talked our sweet little heads off. It’s a long one. Spread it out.
Winners for the Breach digital codes announced this week.
In this episode for Good Pop Bad Pop in Movies we talk George Clooney’s new Netflix film The Midnight Sky. This post-apocalyptic tale follows Augustine, a lonely scientist in the Arctic, as he races to stop Sully and her fellow astronauts from returning home to a mysterious global catastrophe. And we have thoughts. We talk 2 Amazon Prime Video original movies this week with Herself and Sylvie’s Love. And we’ve got 2 documentaries that we cover. The first is The Last Blockbuster that chronicles the incredible story of the last Blockbuster Video in the world now in Bend, OR. The Second is Insert Coin which is the oral history of a team of misfits in the back of a Chicago factory creating the biggest video games (Mortal Kombat, NBA JAM, and others) of all time.

Brian talks about The Players Tribune YouTube mini-documentary The Real Eddy Curry | So … You Want the Real Story? And he and Jake watched that other Leftover show… No, not the HBO Leftovers, the other, other Leftover show on Netflix. Best Leftovers Ever! a cooking competition show where home cooks compete to transform leftovers into delicious creations, finding ways to give old leftovers new life, all in the hopes of winning a $10,000 prize.
In News Roku buys Quibi programs. Michael B. Jordan confirmed to direct Creed 3. Taika Waititi is working on another FX series. And Richard Donner wants to make a fifth and final Lethal Weapon.
And we wrap in Marvel News where I’ve got a theory that I think Marvel is building towards Wanda creating the Mutants and I’ll get into how I think Marvel Studios has slowly been setting that up. Also, Roger Wardell who has revealed some amazing MCU spoilers in the past is back on Twitter posting new rumors. Or is he? Will the real Roger Wardell please stand up.

Writer ALEX PAKNADEL (DC vs. Vampires: All Out War, Giga), artist CASPAR WIJNGAARD (HOME SICK PILOTS), and letterer HASSAN OTSMANE-ELHAOU present a primal vision of humanity gone terribly wrong. In All Against All, it is the distant future. Earth is long gone, but a race of alien conquerors knows as "the Operators" have preserved its most savage animals in an artificial jungle environment they barely understand. With no bodies of their own, the Operators move from world to world, harvesting bodies for the organic exosuits they use to wage their endless wars. Ignored and underestimated by his captors is the habitat's sole human specimen, Helpless. However, when their efforts to find and harvest an apex predator intensify, he gives them far more than they bargained for. Featuring variant covers by artistic powerhouses as SEAN PHILLIPS (RECKLESS), MARTIN SIMMONDS (THE DEPARTMENT OF TRUTH), and CHRISTIAN WARD (BLOOD STAINED TEETH)!

A lot of the focus is on what we saw and heard in the Marvel (MCU) portion of the Disney Investor Meeting. We have full trailer breakdowns for Loki and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. We talk about the Spider-Man 3 rumors this week. Is Tom Holland staying or leaving the MCU? And is Charlie Cox coming back as Daredevil and entering the MCU in Spider-Man 3?
