Meanwhile, Eric Bischoff recently said on 83 Weeks that Mercedes Mone wont do anything for AEW and that AEW is becoming like TNA! Bring in as many big stars as you want, it won't help. We agreed with Eric as Lee has been saying, "If you go from WWE to another company, you will not get all of your WWE fans to follow you."

Lee doubled down on this stating fans will still call wrestlers by their WWE name even after their out of the company because that's how the casual fan remembers them.

Welcome everyone to episode 227 of Perched On The Top Rope! In this interview, our host, Lee Walker speaks with Lucian Loveless!

Lucian Loveless is part of the independent wrestling scene and has been for a few decades! Wrestling has taken him all over, and one place he's been and very active in, is Oklahoma.

The Independent Wrestling Scene in Oklahoma is still regulated by The Oklahoma State Athletic Commission. Lucian describes what the process is like just to get a license to wrestle, ref, manage and talks about how expensive it can be if you don't have health insurance!

Lucian shares how Oklahoma has passed for new sports such as bare-knuckle fighting, but that will not be under eyes of the Oklahoma State Athletic Commission and talks about the unfairness that pro wrestling faces in Oklahoma to the point its too hard to get popular wrestlers to come to independent shows due to the strict rules.

Lucian fills Lee on the 2022 bill Oklahoma passed banning transgender athletes to face their same sex counter part, but that inter-gender matches are banned in the Oklahoma as well. Basically, Trans-gender people are banned from wrestling in the state of Oklahoma. Lucian talks the process that the athletic commission has taken and why it will not change anything with Legislation.

Lucian is now currently seeking to get The Oklahoma State Athletic Commission out of professional wrestling and allow transgender people to wrestle in Oklahoma! Like Finn Balor and AEW have said, "Wrestling is for everyone!"

Pro-Wrestling and Sports Entertainment have walked a fine line with The Adult Entertainment Industry since The Monday Night Wars between WWF and WCW. Not only did the two biggest companies in pro wrestling implement adult entertainment and entertainers, but ECW during that time would as well. TNA even used Chyna for a match even after she started her adult film career. Even recently, Matt Riddle was on MLW talking about being at the AVN Awards. So, why is it in 2024 is being an adult entertainer, and being an indy wrestler an issue?

Tonight's guest is indy wrestler and adult entertainer, Nadia White. They express the difficulty they've had recently with promoter's booking them, only to cancel AFTER the promoter looks them up while knowing many wrestlers now-a-days have OnlyFans Accounts. Nadia expresses their frustrations and even shares a story about how they almost didn't even get to have their first match!

Nadia also expresses the sexism within pro-wrestling as we've seen male wrestlers portray adult film stars, become adult film movie directors, and while they can still get booked, Nadia expresses its more difficult for them.

A former TNA, NXT and WWE star, Gunner/Jaxson Ryker who was part of the pandemic releases in November 2021 is now a police officer and I'm afraid I've got some bad news!

Jaxson Ryker was the former leader of a faction in NXT & WWE known as The Forgotten Sons. Everything was going well for Wesley Blake, Steve Cutler (now known as Steve Maclin in IMPACT Wrestling) and their leader Jaxson Ryker. That is until May 25th 2020.

What happened on that day? George Floyd, a black man was killed by white police officer Derek Chauvin killed him by kneeling on Floyd's neck and back for over nine minutes while Floyd was face down saying, "I can't breath."

The Tweet that landed Jaxson Ryker in trouble with WWE

In June, riots and protests would occur all over The United States and here is where I've got some bad news... Jaxson Ryker took it upon himself amidst the protests and riots to tweets,

"Thankful for the @POTUS we have! God bless America. Built of freedom. Forgotten No More

— Jaxson Ryker (@JaxsonRykerWWE) June 1, 2020"

Many wrestling stars, including his own tag team partner would Tweet out against what Ryker said. This would leave the group being removed from television and slowly released with Ryker being let go from WWE November 2021 along with seven other stars that particular day.

He also talks what he was told in WWE after he had tweeted the tweet and they sent him and his teammates home.

Following his release, Ryker would take to social media in May 2022 tweeting,

Not shortly after, Jaxon Ryker/Gunner aka real name Chad Lail would rant about CM Punk wearing an abortion rights is human rights shirt on AEW television.

Defending his Tweets & Actions

While appearing on podcasts, Lail would discuss the tweet that got him in trouble in 2020 and talk how he was not sorry for it, and cannot see why the tweet was an issue, but admitted it led to the downfall of The Forgotten Sons in WWE which had a lot of momentum at the time.

Lail also stated things he wished co-workers would have come to talk to him instead of publicly attack him on Twitter which in his eyes is why the Tweet got the attention that it did.

On August 28th, 2023, Ryker/Gunner retires from professional wrestling and on September 14th, 2023 he is sworn in as a police officer for Iredell County Sheriffs Department in North Carolina.

Long story short, if you read between the lines of his tweets, Chad Lail is someone who should not be a cop. The job is to protect and serve, based off his social media, that doesn't seem possible.

• Can we stop with the superplex-powerbomb spot? Give these women new spots because this one is old!

• While Vince wasn't happy about the outcome of McAfee-Theory, Vince McMahon showed theory how you get the job done! YES! At 76 years old Vince McMahon WRESTLED

...you can't have VinceMcMahon without a rattlesnake showing up! #StoneColdSteveAustin glass breaks and the crowd goes nuts!
